FIRST *****EVEEEEEERRRR*****OIL PASTEL DRAWING

I bought some oil pastels while I was looking for watercolors because it’s fun to try new things and stuff yeaaa ^^

It was so fun drawing with these and also I saw somewhere on YouTube that you can like use oil pastels on top of acrylic paint and I’m gonna try that the next time I paint

anyways next time I think I’m gonna draw the characters bigger so I can draw the eyes and mouth much easier because oil pastels aren’t exactly made for details… A YOUTUBE VIDEO SAID THAT IF IM WRONG DONT BLAME ME PLS

As a canadian who used to work at Tims I am loving the Tims asks lol. I think Price would be classic old-person at tim’s and be there right at opening, order a single old-fashion plain donut, a larger black coffee, then spend the next 2 hours dipping the donut in the coffee and reading the newspaper.

Because they're nasty. They taste terrible. They have the really bad texture. They're just disgusting. I'd rather jump off a 400 foot diving board into a pit of legos and thumbtacks completely naked then eat an olive.

Promising results from today's bread experiment! Since you can replace oil in most baking recipes 1:1 with a thick fruit/vegetable puree, I've been experimenting with different kinds and amounts of puree. For this loaf, I cooked some really sour blueberries (i didn't want to eat them they were so sour) down into blueberry butter and pureed them. I added a little sugar to offset the sourness, and a tiny pinch of baking soda to neutralize the acid a tiny bit (not enough to taste like baking soda of course 😝), and used an equal amount of the blueberry butter to replace the called for vegetable oil. The smell of the bread is vaguely fruity/floral? but the texture and flavor are delicious, with a faint blueberry flavor. I was worried that the acid might affect the rise of the dough, but it seemed to work fine (makes sense if bread can be baked with orange juice, blueberries are hardly more acidic than that). I'm excited to try using apple butter in this recipe in the fall, and i'm still brainstorming what else i can use 👀
