TF2 x SU au fusions!

oof this took too long but i finally made it !

I kept @gracefireheart Andalusite (HeavyMedic) and @cariocay ‘s Turquoise (EngieSpy) (that i just realized their account got deactivated just a few days ago im sad now) fusion designs because i just found them perfect and whenever i wanted to try making my own designs i always ended up with making something similar to theirs since i was very influenced so i just kept them! They’re so awesome plz check the original artists!

About the fusions:

I tried to choose a theme for every fusion that suits the characters like Spessartite (DemoSolly) is a warrior i put Demo’s sword with Soldier’s shield thing well he doesn’t specifically have a shield but yknow the helmet thing i thought that could work.

He’s very powerful, strong and jump into action without a second thought, while he possesses immense strength and a love for loud and chaotic things, his battle prowess is a double-edged sword since his attacks lack precision. however, this unpredictability often leaves his enemies confused and scrambling to defend. he fights more efficiently when drunk lol

Lepidolite (MedicSpy) is a plague doctor, he is very inspired by Hannibal Lecter (nbc Hannibal lol shout out to that one Anon who recommended it for me to watch it lol) at first i wanted to give him a bistouri as a weapon, since it would suit Medic’s saw with Spy’s small knife, but then i felt the fusion was leaning too much towards Medic than Spy, so i put a cane instead to give that old idk gentleman look :P

He is polished and sophisticated, with a hint of underlying sadism and very precise in his movements, he meticulously analyzes his opponents, exploiting weaknesses with surgical precision before jumping into action and strike right where it hurts the most, the cane appears to be a simple walking stick, but inside is a hollowed core that had a retractable, poison-tipped blade, and his poison isn't fast-acting he enjoys toying with his victims, watching as the venom slowly takes hold, fueling his twisted sense of amusement. they are far from being the strongest fusion but they rely a lot on making their opponent weaker by their ability to attack precise hits as well as poisoning them!

Carnelian (SniperScout) his design was inspired by a equestrian outfit (he was the hardest to design tbh bc i wanted his design to be specifically different from the others since Scout is half human so i wanted this "human" aspect to show in the fusion).

He is a walking paradox, he's got Sniper's calm confidence with Scout's hyperactive energy, he loves a good plan but his execution is often fueled by pure adrenaline, he can zip across the battlefield with incredible speed, dodging attacks and flanking enemies. good at mid range and long range attacks but weak at close range, has internalized monologues with himself a lot, he appears calm on the surface however, his foot constantly taps, he fidgets with his slingshot, he cannot stays in place for too long. enjoys taking challenges.

Rubellite (DemoPyro) is a robot with a 50’s cartoon style but with like a creepy vibe to it, their voice sounds like a broken radio perpetually stuck on a laugh track, is both infectious and unsettling.

They just as powerful as Spessartite but just a bit more agile and lean more on the defense style than offense, their body stretches in a cartoony way and battles become a twisted playground for them, a child's game where they hop and blow things up everywhere. they’re very joyful and loves to have fun while making chaos, they usually make jokes but no one understands their muffled voice so they often laugh all by themselves lol the weapon actually expands where the ball and the shaft of the mace connects there’s a chaine (i didnt draw it cuz there was already too much going on in the drawing lol) which helps them reach target from close to mid range easily, they twist and turn their body in very flexible ways before swatting their weapon at their target.

The gem au returns!!!

Got a little silly and started cranking out some designs

King Boo the Hackmanite. His gem is on the top of his head, and his weapon is a Prism, with the Light Constructs resembling the various ghosts from the Luigi’s Mansion games. Hackmanite gems glow under UV light, so that’s what the second color palette is

Toadette the Rubellite. Her gem is on her chest. Idk what her weapon would be yet

Captain Toad the Watermelon Tourmaline. His gem is on his forehead, and his weapon is a pickaxe.

Toadsworth the Dravite. His gem is on his stomach, and his weapon is his staff

Rosalina the Star Sapphire. Her gem is in place of her right eye, she has future vision and ice powers.

Daisy the Citrine. Her gem is on the back of her right hand, and her weapon is a gauntlet

Wario the Pyrite. His gem is on his right shoulder, and his weapon is a shield

Waluigi the Sugilite. His gem is on his left shoulder, and his weapon is a whip.

Diamond au -

So, I caught up on some more scenes from the show (Mostly just the diamond scenes and wiki) and here's what I got.

(So, the diamonds in the show typically run their own colony on a certain planet. The Diamonds used their essence to create new Gems, who would become subordinates and dedicated their lives in the name of their Diamond. Gems were distinguished by the diamond emblem on their uniform, corresponding to the color of the Diamond they served.

In order to expand the Gem race, the Diamonds took control of celestial bodies for colonization purposes. This would allow Gems to be mass-produced by utilizing outside resources. Each Diamond owned specific colonies and was in charge of making sure they were successful. Gems produced on a specific Diamond's colony was under their control; for instance, Gems produced on Earth belonged to Pink.)

I decided to change some things around a bit-

Gems naturally burst out of any planet (Ones not known to man) and are basically like babies. They somehow naturally know how to talk and are fully grown but that's as far as intelligence goes and height goes.

What do the diamonds do when that happens?

They teach morals, do's & don't do's, right from wrong, etc. They also help their colonies in a certain area they lack. (The "kids" help as well.)

Which diamond "owns" a colony?

Magenta, Blue, Yellow, and green do. The grand-diamonds are in training (if they want to be) or just don't feel like having that sort of responsibility yet.

Yellow/Pepa helps with the weather because the planet her colony belongs to has horrendous weather conditions. If she isn't managing it, her colony suffers.

Blue and violet/Isabela help with flora and medicine. Isa creates the plants and flowers needed and Blue uses her natural ability to create medicine. She also teaches her colony how to do it as well.

The diamond adults do "own" a certain colony on a certain planet. But they aren't all that authoritarian at all. While the Diamonds continue to rule over Home world, they allow every Gem to live freely the way they want without judgment or punishment. Gems are free to fuse with whoever they please, and the caste system was dismantled so that no Gem is better than another. 

Home world has some kind of democracy, meaning the Diamonds, despite retaining a level of importance on Home world, allow Gems to take charge as leaders of their kind through elections.

The diamonds don't see any non-gem life form as inferior, but more interesting. Humans are mainly a curiosity to them, but they see how humans...are mainly hostile to anything different from them (especially to each other) and don't feel like interacting at all.

As far as interactions go when it comes to earth is just watching things called "movies", just to look at certain cultures and behaviors, fashion, and way of life.

Magenta/Alma doesn't like the word "own". It seems a bit rude to say she owns something when she had no control over when or how gems came to be.

So, she instead uses the word "care". Because that's technically what she and her "kids" do. They care for their colonies as long as they need to.

Young diamonds typically explore their "parents" gem worlds. Having fun, making friends & what not.

Certain gems/crystals found on their planets:

Pepa's planet - Golden Barites, Golden Beryl's, Golden south sea pearls, Heliodor's, Honey Calcites, Honey Topaz, Lemon Jades, Lemon quartz, and many more.

Bruno's planet - Jades, Tourmaline, Verdelite, October birthstone, Alexandrite, Malachite, Peridot, Sapphire, Apatite, Chrysoberyl, and many more.

Julieta's planet - Blue agate, Apatite, Azurite, Aquamarine, Benitiote, Blue Chalcedony, Chrysocolla, Dumortierite, Blue fluorite, and many more

Alma's planet - Padparadscha sapphire, Rubellite Tourmaline, Ruby, Spine, Watermelon Tourmaline, and Viva magenta.

The grand-diamonds don't have gems to look after yet but they do have planets to watch over. Each planet is similar to their colors/name. It's truly boring for them so they don't spend their time watching them much.

I searched up "planet that rains diamonds" and I found out that Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter are rumored to have natural diamonds. So, that's where Alma, the triplets, and the grandkids came from.

The triplets came from Saturn, Alma came from Neptune, and the grandkids are from Jupiter.

Also, Antonio's name in this au is Apricot. It's cute and it has 'A' in front of it, so it fits. I

W Diamonds for at the very least being decent gems 😭 give them mfs some sense of self, so at least there’s that. Planets are super cool 🤭🤭 also the fact that the grandkids find watching their plants boring is. So funny. Like there’s basically nothing on them, so it!s understandable 😭

Using plants that rain diamonds honestly makes a lot of sense. ALSO APRICOT LETS GOOOO 🤠🤠🤠

While not a dictator or authoritarian, I think Alma just has a very misleading face 💀

Olivin 🌱

He is the Amethyst of the AU. He is a huge sweetheart, but not very smart. While his creation, there was an error, causing him to have less inteligence. He likes to run on all fours, and his fav hat is... well, his bucket!

Shiro 🩸

Shiro is the Connie of AU. He is seemed to be a mean, hostile bully. He is pretty much a lone wolf. He is actually struggling with ASPD, which he hates. He later befriends Bailey, eventually developing a little crush on them.

Amethyst 🔮

Amethyst is the Lapis Lazuli of the AU. She was mistook as one of the traitors, and trapped in a mirror as a punishment. She was thousands years later released from her prison by Bailey. She is very serious and quite cold. She also has an ability to create wings from her magical aura and use them to fly.

Rubellite ☠️

She is the Jasper of the AU. As the huntress, she is remorseless and quite sadistic, living for fight. She forced Amethyst to fuse with her, creating Obsidian. She later got Corrupted by fusing with a corrupted gem, and then revived after a while.

I feel like if the Smiling Critters were characters in Steven Universe, this is what I believe what gem they would be:

Dogday would either be an Orange Topaz, Clinohumite, Orange Opal, Orange Sphalerite, Orange Fluorite, or Orange Agate.

Catnap will probably be Tanzanite, Purple Apatite, Purple Scapolite, Amythest, or Purple Fluorite.

Picky Piggy would be Pink Pearl, Pink Spinel, Rhodochrosite, Pink Tourmaline, Rhodonite, Pink Fluorite, Rose Quartz, Pink Smithsonite, or Pink Cobalto Calcite.
