Kareem did what he could to help. Getting the citizens out of harm's way was his first priority. He was quick for someone who was just human and fended off any incoming attacks while he led the citizens to safety.

Now, he is running to stop the criminals again, but almost bumps straight into the woman. "Hello again," he says, breathing heavily. "Did you see where they went?"

He's pretty sure that he can trust her, at least for now.

Okay, so she had abilities. That didn’t mean that she was automatically innocent, but he would have to take that chance. It was smarter to just let her go and try to apprehend the criminals on his own.

He leapt into action, running as fast as he could to get to the scene of the crime, daggers in hand.

Even if they were heading in opposite directions, it seemed they were after the same group. Maggie was concerned, she hadn’t left the scene as finished as she’d planned. 

It left her with a choice, deal with who was left or dash after the ones escaping. She’d made the latter. So she’d leapt and dashed away from Kareem without a thought or chance to catch his reaction. 

The time that had slipped away had already been too much, but at least Maggie had her abilities. It helped propel her forward at an unnatural speed. Even still, without eyes of them, the criminals had slipped away. Who knows where, there were some many alleys and doors in this alley, they could be anywhere. 

“Great… that’s just great.” With a huff, Maggie has no choice but to go back to the crime scene. Maybe there was some clues… she just hoped they hadn’t made off with some of the merchandise. Maggie still wasn’t sure what they were smuggling… be it guns, weapons, cash or something else… she didn’t have the answers yet. 

Heading back, Maggie has no choice but to cross paths with Kareem once again.

Hello! I am Layla and my main blog is @arabianflowers! This is a roleplay blog for the character Kareem/Red Dagger from the Marvel franchise! Kareem is one of my favorite superheroes. He is such a cool character, so I had to create a roleplay blog for him because I can capture his character well.

He leapt into action, running as fast as he could to get to the scene of the crime, daggers in hand.

Kareem shrugged. “Well, yes,” he admitted. “So if you would so kindly get out of my way, I can make sure that they are taken care of.”

He really wasn’t in the mood to converse with anyone, and given how intent this woman seemed on stopping him from arriving at the scene of the crime, he had a feeling that she might be one of the criminals in question.

However, he said nothing. She did not need to know that he was suspicious of her. That would be unwise on his part.

“Look I’m not your enemy here. And even though I’d rather not get someone else involved who could get hurt, I also know I don’t have the time to stop you.” Maggie was making an attempt to calm him, but the criminals in question were getting away. And she imagined with her abilities she’d get there a lot quicker. 

“Damn it, sorry kid but I haven’t got time for this. Stand against me or help me, your choice - but I’m not going to wait for you to make it.”

Clenching her legs and bending her knees, Maggie sprang high into the air - higher than natural human ability. She landed behind Kareem, before racing as quickly as she could after the criminals attempting to escape.

He was only seventeen years old. He had no family, and the only mentor who he ever had died brutally just a few months ago. He was extra cautious and defensive now.

“And who are the nutjobs in question,” he pressed.

“That’s a fair question. And one I guess I can’t easily answer. All I can say, is I’m just here to stop them before they can hurt or steal from anyone else.”

Maggie wasn’t sure either if she could trust him. But he seemed young, so she felt drawn to help protect him. Even if he appeared to handle himself well, Maggie didn’t want him to take on more than he could handle. Or for him to be caught up in something that would lead them to face off. 

“The ones with the very illegal guns that just ran down here. And from what I’ve heard that’s not the only thing they’ve stole. Now I get the feeling you’re not here for me, and it’s awfully convenient the timing. So I’ll take a guess they might who you’re looking for… I mean no-one dresses like that unless they expect a fight.

Kareem had also been chasing someone. Whoever “them” is, he does not know.

Disguised as Red Dagger, he gets into a fighting stance, a knife in each hand.

“I work alone, madam,” he says, his voice low and cautious. “Who are you?”

Maggie’s a little skeptical. But he didn’t seem to have the same uniformed style as the rest of them. 

That and he had daggers instead of a gun.

“Well that all depends on if you’re here to stop the nutjobs with the guns, or for another reason. Depending on the answer, I might be an ally.”
