♥ this had to be said. i lived in those books as a child, my dad probably both ruined and saved my childhood…his drinking problems and abusive, argumentative nature was a massive fucking problem, but he was also the one to buy me the hobbit which led to my obsession with lotr, which i would read over and over to escape. ~okay i am done with being serious now. but yes, the greatest thing to happen to me.

I actually feel like a bad LOTR fan because I read the hobbit when I was eight or nine, but I didn't really fall in love until the age of twelve, when my form tutor put the films on in chunks every day and just...

But the Sherlock fandom in their incessant squealing for "BENNY BENNY BENNY <3 030" will not think this. Will not understand that not everything is to do with Sherlock. 

Will really not understand how much some people adore LOTR and the Hobbit.
