Her admission to desire to test out every combination of bean and preparation technique made him curious about what could be made. A lot of times, experimentation died when a satisfactory result was reached, precluding potentially better results from being discovered. He would bring up his own experimentation with cooking, but his results would make for a poor comparison and this wasn't a competition. "It's a good way to get more experience and also get a taste for other's preferences, both for now and later." Practice makes perfect after all.
He wasn't trying to embarrass or flatter her. There was a definite gentleness to her, a gentleness that didn't lurch into the area of fear of damage. Mistakes can happen anywhere and stagnation is worse than failure. He wanted to comment that her fidgeting with her hair was a really cute look for her, but at that point, he felt that he would be simply fishing for compliments to try and get on her good side.
Unaware of what his prior demeanor had influenced and precluded, he sought to keep a more upbeat mood. It wasn't a point of not trusting her, it was a matter that he didn't want to burden her with his problems and the fact that he feels that she wouldn't believe him if he told her given the unbelievable nature of what he would say.
"I'll do everything I can to make it a good time for the meeting. Honestly, excited to meet your friend after getting to know you Haru-chan." There was a balance of similarities and differences between friends, so he was curious yet excited about the comparison between Haru and her friend.
"I'll make sure to bring various drinks to help meet focus. If you ever get to testing bean and preparation combinations, feel free to give me a call if you want someone to taste it." Given the large portion of combinations are unknown territory, it was a good way to help and to wake himself up.
@autonomousxselves
For Nobu, all coffee came from the same beans and was prepared the same way, though it wasn't surprising to hear that wasn't the case. "Just curious. Are you planning to test combinations of beans and preparation techniques for flavor?" His voice had more interest in the tone than in the words. The combination seems like it would affect both the flavor and the nutritional value and the experimentation was similar to his attempts in cooking, attempts that were unsuccessful. Though he was unaware of the number of combinations that would lead to when it comes to coffee.
"You definitely strike me as a supportive and nurturing person. Everything you grow is in good hands." It took a lot of dedication to focus on growing something, especially to keep watching and learning.
"Closest thing for nature for me is walking, but parks are usually crowded." The first thing that came to mind to him when it came to nature was life, but he had already failed when it came to life....twice. He failed to be there for his sister and failed to hold a promise to the person that allowed hm to live.
He looked solemnly down at the table for several moments before remembering that Haru was there with him. Not wanting to make her worry about him, he would cheer himself up.
"We're both aware about me being there as a surprise visitor for when you and your friend get together, so we should work together to make the most of it."
"Of course it's alright Haru-chan. Our schedules aren't the same, so I won't always be able to answer, but if I am able to answer, I will. I'll do everything in my power to be there."
#//Yeah Nobu will defnitely recognize her hair.#//He'll be surprised externally but would have Inner Nobu moments similar to Inner Sakura moments.#//Calm but would be cheering her on subtlely. xD#autonomousxselves

"My favorite thing about Nobu-kun... I like how considerate he is, he's very calming to be around." -Haru @autonomousxselves
Nobu was well accustomed to receiving praise for his kindness and generosity being in his line of work.
Calming to be around was a different case. The way he looked at most people outside of work generated an aura that tended to put people on edge around him, both inside and outside of work. Even when he was trying to keep people away, he didn't want to make them feel uncomfortable. He could tell when people were uncomfortable by their posture, even if they stated they are comfortable.
He was satisfied that she didn't seem offput, but it was honestly embarrassing to him to be hearing that as it spoke much more as it required the additional effort than subconscious movements.
A light blush would dust his cheeks. "It's embarrassing to hear, but I'm flattered Haru-chan. I don't want you to be on edge around me." He could understand cautious, but was worried if he caused her to be on high alert in his area.

“Nobu is much stronger than he thinks inside. Big brother energy flows through him!”
"I really hope that I have big brother energy." His words were a playful retort, though he was serious with that wish. Twin or not, it wouldn't bode well for him if he didn't exude the energy of a big brother.
"Not sure what you are referencing when you say inside." Mentally, he didn't think there was much room to grow and he didn't think he was that strong emotionally.

Nobu relied on two main aspects when it came to his trust, one was acquired and the other inferred. His ability to see personas allowed him to gauge the possibility of how a person's personality might shift. Most people lacked a solid state persona due to shifting to the mindset that would allow for self-preservation, even at the expense of others. This made most people hard to trust as they were always a risk they could turn. The second was by their actions which he did by his initial remark of trying to push people away. The best kind of people are those who can take the high road even when it's not the easiest.
Nobu couldn't turn off his ability to see personas, but seeing Haru's persona would fit in his condition of someone to trust. But someone could be a unrelenting bad person by wishing to try and retaliate for his remark to try and push them away. Haru's rebuttal fulfilled the second condition. Which is why he was willing to trust her, but there was always the possibility of an elaborate plan.
"You must enjoy coffee Haru-chan." It was either that or she had affection for the preparer, but he didn't feel that it was right to try and twist her words in that direction, even in jest. He would drink coffee only when it was necessary. He practices what he preaches to his patients by living a healthy lifestyle, but desperate times calls for desperate measures.
"There's no need for food and drinks to be at the location. Though it may be necessary for the first meeting between me and your friend, depending on how they may view me." He figured that it might help to dissolve any possibile suspicions that they may have of Nobu, but by not having the meetings mandating them to be present, it would dissuade from any notions that he may be using Haru between her money and her generosity. "I can always brings drinks if you want. Just don't trust me to make food." He admitted sheepishly, a light tint to his cheeks as he stated that embarrassing fact.
The condolence for Haru's father's passing only provided further validation of who he was talking to, but Haru's identity through he father was only one portion of who he was. Reacting to it would be putting emphasis on one side of her that was out of her control.
When the waittress turned to him, there was a look of concealed suspicion. Why else would someone so regular be with Haru if not just to exploit her? At least that was the general idea. Nobu would place an order for a mild coffee with the same dessert. Reducing the efficacy of the coffee would keep the effects to a minimum and the dessert would serve to counter the flavor as well as being a start to testing the tastes of the cafe.
Once the waittress left, Nobu would turn to look at Haru. "Feel free to chat whenever you feel like taking respite from your studies or want some help with the material."
#autonomousxselves#//He can't see Personas of people that are on TV.#//He will recognize Haru by the sound of her voice.#//He'll be having coffee at Leblanc and end up doing a spit take in front of Sojiro. xD#//He'll probably confront Haru worried about her since she is a Phantom Thief some point after realizing it.

"You definitely succeeded there. Seems like you are quick on your feet." He knew from his unfortunate attempts to cook that some combinations of ingreadients do not cooperate as well as some might think. Though, he didn't have enough experience with curry to tell that wasn't the situation in this case.
He kept his posture relatively straight when not leaning over his plate to take a spoonful of curry. He didn't want to cause a mess on the tables or the floors and cause more work for Akira, but didn't want to mess with his back, though it was difficult for him to silence the light tapping of his right foot against the floor it was a subconscious response from the fear that plagued a large portion of his life.
"Normally, I would retreat into my house to avoid people, but I have met some other friendly people. One said that she might call me later......" He would remark, before realizing the way that statement sounded and his expression would change upon that realization.
"She said she would call me over to join her and her friend for studying." Nobu's normally calm demeanor shattered into a flustered panic. He didn't want to give a wrong idea about the type of person that he was by his remark, but couldn't help but feel his panic only made him look more suspicious.
"Otherwise, I was thinking of meeting up with a nice young man I had met some time ago. He's a lot of fun to be around." Nobu would remark hoping to try and ease up any suspicions. Though Nobu was mentally beyond his years and physically fit for his age, he was emotionally young, never having had much of a childhood, so that meeting helped him feel like a kid again.
Nobu had to take a couple of moments to get accustomed to the curry, mainly because of how hot it was from being made only recently. Once he was able to tolerate the temperature, his body would give a reaction to the curry. It wasn't intolerable. Not like he was trying to push the limits he has for spicy foods. As long as the spice level was enough to give him a kick, then it would be enough for him.
While he was chewing his food, his eyes were following every move that Akira was doing when it came to preparing the coffee, though his eyes didn't seem all that focused. This was the first time that he ever had fresh brewed coffee. He was limited on time, so he usually made instant coffee whenever he needed it.
He wouldn't always have time to drop by for coffee, so learning the basic steps was a way to make his own if the fresh brewed coffee was better than instant coffee.
The first couple bites of the curry were delayed due to how hot the meal was, but after getting accustomed to the temperature, his pace accelerated to a mild consumption, enough time to savor every but, but not seem like he was dawdling and stalling for time. By the time that Akira arrived with the coffe, somewhere between a third and a half of the curry was gone.
Though he was in the midde of a bite when the coffee was brought over. A few moments would be all that was needed for him to swallow the food. "Seems like you have a lot of practice, so it would be surprising if I don't enjoy it." Nobu would lightly jest, though he felt that Akira wasn't one that sought validation from others and the inquiry was more of a professional gesture.
Taking a small sip of the coffee, the cream and sugar diluting the bitter taste of coffee enought that it was bearable, but still bitter enough to give him a separate kick of his own. His mouth had grown accustomed to heat, so the bitterness was the only thing he had to account for.
"The curry is a nice mild spicy. Not too much that it can be used so someone can breath fire, but enough to get your attention." He remarks jokingly about the portion of breathing fire.

He was accustomed to hearing strawberries with chocolate, but hearing kiwis with sugar. "Might have to try kiwis with sugar." He admitted, curious about the difference in the taste. Given that a bit of sugar was healthy, he didn't see much harm in testing the waters.
He didn't have much of a preference for fruit. It was hard to mess up cutting up fruit, so he would be surprised if his poor ability to cook manages to affect it.
"What other things do you like to eat?"

It was never unusual for Nobu to be out on his own, he didn't like really talking to other people. There wasn't much for him to look forward to. When it was outside of his work, he kept himself relatively sparse among the crowd.
Though he didn't mind, he would take out a book and would read it near the Shibuya train station, listening as people walked by, going about their own ways, enjoying the slight breeze that generated as people passed close by him.

"There you are, Nobu!" Teddie yelled back at his friend while his arm left the water to waive. The inn's hot spring was as big as Teddie remembered it. He was really excited to come back and enjoy it for real this time. It was only him and one other friend this time but that was fine too. For now, he'll continue to enjoy the soothing waters. "So...how are you enjoying the inn so far? Is it as amazing as you thought it would be? I think the food and hot spring are amazing!" He is enjoying one of those this very second and the other he shall partake in later. @tvstarkuma
Nobu didn't normally leave himself vulnerable to others, but Teddie had earned his trust enough that he was willing to do as such. It was a surprise that Yukiko was in charge. He didn't think that she would possibly have enough time to juggle both the Inn as well as the murder case, though he was thinking she was the same as she is now when investigating the case.
Arriving at the hot spring, he would set his clothes in one of the slots before heading into the hot springs.
Though he kept a towel draped around his waist, the majority of his body was muscular. There wasn't a lot of muscle mass, but what muscles he had were all well defined. He didn't like drawing attention to himself, so he never worked out somewhere other people could see him. He would also keep his appearance largely contained and hidden behind his clothes. The lack of muscle mass helped.
"Sorry, wanted to fold up my clothes." Organization was largely ingrained in his operation. Heading out onto the stones, he would stretch his left arm up above his head, grasping his elbow with his right hand.
"It's like a tiny little paradise concealed behind the building." He was surprised to hear that it had one at all, given that he thought the steam would give it away.
"It's definitely a nice surprise." He would walk over cautiously, worried about slipping on his way. Upon arriving without incident, he would step inside the spring.
"The ambiance is really nice and peaceful, really helps people to relax. If it wasn't dangerous to do so, I could fall asleep right here." He admitted lightly, though the springs did a number on his stress, allowing him to ease up.
"You better not be taking advantage of Yukiko's generosity." He chided playfully, though he felt that the intention was never to take advantage of Yukiko, but rather just out of a playful enjoyment from Teddie.

A playful click of his tongue as Ryuji makes his remark about ice cream. "Might as well have a nice bowl of flavored milk at that point." Though he doubted that milk and the flavorings were all that were in ice cream, but that wasn't his forte, nor did he really find identifying all of the ingredients in ice cream to be random knowledge that would be well received.
"Definitely, it's a nice reward." All hard work will eventually falter for him if he didn't keep his motivation up with rewards such as that, but he had them so infrequently, he was honest when he says he doesn't treat himself often.
"Thank goodness you're not. I am already boiling on the outside, I'd rather not be toasty on the inside also." He playfully remark, though he was somewhat serious. Medical knowledge would dictate that it would cause a person's core to heat up without a way to efficiently remove it until the heat from the meal dissipates.
Hearing his remarks about being awesome, a feigned sense of anguish and defeat would form on his face as his arms quivered as part of his act. "No, I have been bested by logic again." Though he attempted to act the part of defeated and in anguish, the combination of the smile on his face and a playful joy in his voice would ruin the importance.
Closed summer starter for @doctor-yamagishi!
"Hey, again...!" He exits the convenience store, raising one hand in a wave - in his other hand is a slightly unwrapped popsicle that he'd impulse bought just now. "Long time, no see!"

Small Updates of IRL
Nothing too serious, but below the cut.
Thinking about making a new sideblog, one for Saki Konishi. It would have one verse prior to her death, one where Naoki dies instead, one where she is secretly still alive, but doesn't come out of hiding until Adachi is arrested, knowing he is the true killer. Possibly having one where she gets a persona.
Been getting back into the habit of writing Nobu's P4 verse.
Been going through my last run of P4G, aiming to finish asap. At Marie's dungeon. Each run has me date a separate girl. No playboy runs. This last run has me limited to using Izanagi/Izanagi-No-Okami, only adding a new persona to use in battle when I die in a storyline battle that isn't scripted. Planning to start P3R on 1/31, but between when I finish P4G and then, going to work on as much of the story as possible.

Hearing her impression about kiwis and strawberries drew a small laugh from Nobu as he nods his head. "It might just be a taste that I acquired, but to each their own. Glad to hear that your sweet tooth doesn't just apply to desserts." It wasn't that he didn't like any of the fruit that she had mentioned, he just always got a bit more of a kick because of the tartness of strawberries and kiwis.
"What do you have with strawberries and kiwis to eat them?" He wasn't very sure what would be a good thing to offset a kiwi's tartness, but was expecting something along the lines of whipped cream or chocolate drizzle for strawberries as it's the common things he think of with the fruit.

*tickles*
Unaware of the identity of the person attempting to tickle him, the second the extended hands were within an inch from him, Nobu was quick to take a large step back in order to put some distance between him and them, at the same time, psychologically shrinking.
"Sorry, but I don't feel comfortable with random people touching me." For the most part, it was a large display of his courage to let people he knew touch him. It was an impossible task for him to let someone he didn't know try the same aspect.

A menu could always be changed and Nobu wasn't aware about whether or not they were in the middle of making such changes, so it was safer to see if the menu overhead was going to be gestured to and a possible afterword about the changes.
It wasn't hard for him to figure out who Akira was identifying as the boss given that there was only two people working and Sojiro didn't look like the type of person that would appreciate even a joking remark thinking Akira was the boss, so he wouldn't make the statement.
"Then I'll have the deluxe curry combo." The price wasn't anything outrageous given how much he earned and how little he spent, thought it was a matter of personal preference if the value warranted the price.
THe time that the order was prepared would give him some time to look around. It wasn't as croded as most places he assumed would be anywhere where people could eat out, not that he was saying Leblanc was suffering.

How well do you know Nobu?

A poster? Picture frame? What exactly did he mean by that? A brief moment passed where confusion occupied much of Chie's expression, a quizzical look combined with crooked brows making up the abundance of perplexation currently engrossing the brunette's thoughts. It was frustrating when she experienced these moments of forgetfulness, but sometimes that spark of remembrance flooded back to her after thinking about something she liked. Her favorite color, her favorite food, even the sound of her dog's obnoxious barking. In this instance, the remedy appeared to work in her favor since her entire body language suddenly performed a one-eighty in a split second.

"WAIT!! HOLD ON!! CRAP, THAT'S WHAT I NEEDED TO DO!" A bolt of recollection! The sequence of events materialized once more playing out inside her head several times, over and over. After coming home on her birthday she stowed away the guy's gift inside her closet, high enough so the beloved family canine wouldn't sniff it out or lovingly drool all over his gift. There it remained, tucked and hidden away, untouched and nearly forgotten until this moment! "Yeah yeah yeah, you're right! I never got around to findin' the perfect picture frame for it!!" Stupid Chie! How did you forget this time!? "Let's go get that now!! Oh uh...that's only if you've got the time now..." Better to find something now with the thought still fresh in her mind.
Nobu grew immediately concerned when the concept of the poster or the frame didn't immediately resonate with her. Given how strongly she had reacted to receiving it. He had figured that it would've let a stronger mark in her mind. Though he was thankful that she hadn't already gotten a frame for it.
He didn't get a frame for it to give to her birthday since it was something that would be in her room, so she should be the one to choose the style of the frame.
Watching the extent of the change in her attitude was a relief that it wasn't entirely forgotten, but also surprising how much it was.
Having experienced the energy in her voice when she received the poster, he was a lot more accustomed to when the dots connected in her mind. He doubted that she would leave it somewhere where it could get damaged based on her reaction, and given her reaction didn't make any remark about the state of the poster, he assumed that it was roughly in the same condition that she received it.
"I wouldn't have offered if I didn't have time. Besides, the frame was the other part of your birthday gift, but since it's going in your room, you should get to pick the frame. Do not worry about the price. It'll be on me."
It was strange, but the sudden change in her volume made him feel more comfortable talking. He couldn't explain why, but the frame was more important. Even introductions could wait.
