"Thank you. A small splash of cream and a lump of sugar." He couldn't handle coffee on its own, the taste was too powerful. He wasn't even sure if it was needed for him to get to that point.
Nobu didn't have much of a preference when it came to how food is prepared. It would take a significant difference in the food to make him remember a particular way of cooking, whether to focus on that style or to avoid it.
Once the plate was set down, he would nod his head and look over at Akira. "Thank you, for the meal, the service, and the consideration." Though he was accustomed to high spice level as the heat usually helped to kick him into motion. His greater concern was the heat due to the temperature of the curry. He would start with small bites, both so he could get accustomed to how hot it is as well as to savor the meal.
A menu could always be changed and Nobu wasn't aware about whether or not they were in the middle of making such changes, so it was safer to see if the menu overhead was going to be gestured to and a possible afterword about the changes.
It wasn't hard for him to figure out who Akira was identifying as the boss given that there was only two people working and Sojiro didn't look like the type of person that would appreciate even a joking remark thinking Akira was the boss, so he wouldn't make the statement.
"Then I'll have the deluxe curry combo." The price wasn't anything outrageous given how much he earned and how little he spent, thought it was a matter of personal preference if the value warranted the price.
THe time that the order was prepared would give him some time to look around. It wasn't as croded as most places he assumed would be anywhere where people could eat out, not that he was saying Leblanc was suffering.

How well do you know Nobu?

A poster? Picture frame? What exactly did he mean by that? A brief moment passed where confusion occupied much of Chie's expression, a quizzical look combined with crooked brows making up the abundance of perplexation currently engrossing the brunette's thoughts. It was frustrating when she experienced these moments of forgetfulness, but sometimes that spark of remembrance flooded back to her after thinking about something she liked. Her favorite color, her favorite food, even the sound of her dog's obnoxious barking. In this instance, the remedy appeared to work in her favor since her entire body language suddenly performed a one-eighty in a split second.
"WAIT!! HOLD ON!! CRAP, THAT'S WHAT I NEEDED TO DO!" A bolt of recollection! The sequence of events materialized once more playing out inside her head several times, over and over. After coming home on her birthday she stowed away the guy's gift inside her closet, high enough so the beloved family canine wouldn't sniff it out or lovingly drool all over his gift. There it remained, tucked and hidden away, untouched and nearly forgotten until this moment! "Yeah yeah yeah, you're right! I never got around to findin' the perfect picture frame for it!!" Stupid Chie! How did you forget this time!? "Let's go get that now!! Oh uh...that's only if you've got the time now..." Better to find something now with the thought still fresh in her mind.
Nobu grew immediately concerned when the concept of the poster or the frame didn't immediately resonate with her. Given how strongly she had reacted to receiving it. He had figured that it would've let a stronger mark in her mind. Though he was thankful that she hadn't already gotten a frame for it.
He didn't get a frame for it to give to her birthday since it was something that would be in her room, so she should be the one to choose the style of the frame.
Watching the extent of the change in her attitude was a relief that it wasn't entirely forgotten, but also surprising how much it was.
Having experienced the energy in her voice when she received the poster, he was a lot more accustomed to when the dots connected in her mind. He doubted that she would leave it somewhere where it could get damaged based on her reaction, and given her reaction didn't make any remark about the state of the poster, he assumed that it was roughly in the same condition that she received it.
"I wouldn't have offered if I didn't have time. Besides, the frame was the other part of your birthday gift, but since it's going in your room, you should get to pick the frame. Do not worry about the price. It'll be on me."
It was strange, but the sudden change in her volume made him feel more comfortable talking. He couldn't explain why, but the frame was more important. Even introductions could wait.

Nobu had to contemplate thinking through. "I have a sweet tooth of my own, but my sweet tooth is toward fruits rather than desserts." He admits with a light laugh. "Particularly like kiwifruits, strawberries, and peaches." He didn't really mind if he needed to address the question a second time.

It was never unusual for Nobu to be out on his own, he didn't like really talking to other people. There wasn't much for him to look forward to. When it was outside of his work, he kept himself relatively sparse among the crowd.
Though he didn't mind, he would take out a book and would read it near the Shibuya train station, listening as people walked by, going about their own ways, enjoying the slight breeze that generated as people passed close by him.
#sunnysmiles2#//He did indirectly by stating that he lived a healthy lifestyle to try and serve as a role model for others.

"Given how they are made, you would suffer a lot more if you tried having ice cream on a day like today without being in an air conditioned room." Nobu didn't know the full process of how either item were made, but given that popsicles were a lot more solid than ice cream was, he figured that was a safe assumption.
"Ice cream is made with milk, so it's roughly the same as being covered in spoiled milk." Though he could be wrong, but the word cream tended to have a heuristic with him of containing milk.
A small snicker as Nobu shakes his head at the wink. "Don't have to tell me twice." Though it wasn't something he tended to indulge in, he wasn't going to kill himself for the sake of maintaining a healthy diet, besides, sweets were a part of a diet anyways.
He grew into a slightly flustered panic at the reciprocation. "I-I won't refuse if you still want to offer, but please do.... do not feel required to return the gesture just cause I made the gesture." He didn't want the other to feel forced to make the offer or burden them to feel that they needed to.
"Nah, I'm not awesome." He felt that someone that fit that description would've been able to keep their sister safe and happy, something that he was unable to do. "At least, not by comparison to you."
Closed summer starter for @doctor-yamagishi!
"Hey, again...!" He exits the convenience store, raising one hand in a wave - in his other hand is a slightly unwrapped popsicle that he'd impulse bought just now. "Long time, no see!"

Akira was working diligently as he did every day in Leblanc. Customers came in and out, requesting their famous coffee and curry combo. Some of them preferred tea, but it was not a problem since Boss had adjusted the menu a little bit to offer more variety.
Upon hearing the bell chime, he turned his head and smiled at the sight of a familiar face. "Ah, Dr. Yamagishi. I've been well, thanks. How are you?"
@phantomuheist
Nobu rarely went anywhere with people, but he cared more about other people than he did about his own comfort. Akira had made the offer when they first met, so it did stir some curiosity in him. He also wanted to make sure that he showed that he was paying attention to what they were saying.
"Suffering with work, but other than that, pretty well." A soft smile upon his features, speaking loud enough for them to hear him, but not to disturb the other customers anymore than necessary.
"Not used to eating out, what do you have available?" Though he did it mainly to meet up with Akira, it would be far too suspicious just to talk and not to order something. Not that it wasn't already suspicious that he was talking with Akira in particular, especially around Sojiro, not that he was going to confront Akira about the fact when customers are present.

While such contact may be commonplace for most people, especially when Teddie is concerned, but Nobu largely placed contact as being malicious in nature, that it would require a decent amount of trust for him to allow himself to be open to it.
Compounding this was the unbelievable nature of his story. This made it hard for him to feel any sort of trust toward other people. Outside of those that were involved in the experimentation that ultimately led to Strega, Nobu was convinced that no one had any knowledge about manifestations of Personas and Shadows.
Teddie had destroyed both concepts, so Nobu felt comfortable with the contact. A small chuckle escapes his lips as he returns the hug.
A playful smile crossses his face as he looks over at Teddie "How am I supposed to know that you are busy unless I call you while you are?" It wasn't like their schedules were entirely in sync. He was aware of the nature of memories.
"If you don't mind. I don't know the area that well." Who knows how long it would take him to get back on his own. While he had remarkably good eye for identifying the area based on the buildings, it wouldn't matter much if he was heading in the wrong direction in the first place.
"The portion of a person's life where a child is supposed to feel safe and grow....I was in a place that constantly made me fear for my life." The two were both acquainted with the areas associated with Shadows, Teddie more than himself.
Teddie didn't know how to get away from them, but Nobu couldn't get away from them without either awakening to his Persona or by dying, or at least that was the intention.
"Just need to wait for the pain from the memories to subside, though no idea when that will be. But a friendly hug every now and then might help with that."
"Your friends are lucky to have you and you are lucky to have them. You are free to help me Teddie. I will honestly need quite a lot of it. Sometimes when I don't even know when I need it."

Nobu was having a great deal of trouble trying to understand him. He started out effectively telling him to move, though all he would've needed to do was ask. Now he was showing concern. A part of him wanted to believe that they meant well, but another side that was born from his past would harbor nothing but suspicion toward them. The change only served to further his suspicion.
"I know it's not the truth." Though he did his best to look angry, it was a forced anger, but the sorrow and despondence was genuine in his voice.
Though he could say that it wasn't the truth, a part of him internally readily accepted that as the truth and did so giddily. Nobu had to force himself to shut that thought out of his mind.
Hearing the offer about the Junes food court, he was very skeptical about the fact that it was more private than his own place. "Please don't apologize. I am sure that you have your reasons for approaching me." He did his best to affirm their actions, though he was pondering if the reasons for their own benefit or his.
"As far as the offer goes, I'll give it some thought." He admitted softly. WIth so many eyes focused on him, he wasn't sure if it would be safe for him to go there.
Nobu gwas caught off guard briefly when the other tried to get his attention. It would give him a bit of hope for someone that was different from the majority of Inaba. That hope was dashed when they brought up the interview. Why else would someone want to talk to him? They only sought him when they had some use for him, regardless of what peace of mind that it costs him.
"Yes, that's me." He would affirm, though he doubted that the affirmation was needed. Regardless, given that he knew what people were generally talking when it came to him, the affirmation only added to his dejection. He came here to make people's lives better, but his mere presence alone seemed to only accomplish the opposite.
An inquisitive look dawned on him, hearing someone asking for him to be careful. Given how his presence was considered, he figured that they would've made some remark wanting him to leave. The conflicting messages left him confused. Did the person actually care for him?
The statement about ignoring what people didn't answer any questions. "You're asking a doctor to ignore what people says." He was there to help people, so he could only do that when he could understand their desires, though it was mainly at him to leave. He would finish up this assignment then return to Tatsumi Port Island. Until then, he would grin and suffer through the onslaught of insults and glares associated with his presence.
"Please take care of yourself." He would finish, taking the last remark as a conclusion of the unusual meeting. While he did want to ponder the other's intentions and desires, his biggest concern for the moment lay with trying to find another hopeful reprieve for him to resume his reading.
#fatexbound#Unwanted Attention: P4 Verse#//Nobu will ultimately not go. So we can do either a time skip to the Food Court or toward the 2nd obscure showing on the Midnight Channel.#extended prescription: long post

@samayo-tamashi from here
Yukari sighed. "You don't understand like your sister does. You weren't there. I wanted to save him at all costs. But I couldn't. I failed at that."
Nobu wasn't going to deny that she spoke a lot of the truth. He doesn't understand like Fuuka did. He wasn't there. He could figure out who Yukari was talking. It was a matter of process of elimination. Since he had tended to all of SEES, he could eliminate Yukari, Junpei, Akihiko, Mitsuru, Ken, and Fuuka as they were all still alive. That would just leave Koromaru, Shinjiro, Aigis, and Minato. He didn't tend to Koromaru since he didn't have a degree to act as a vet. He had absolutely no clue about machines, so Aigis was outside of his capability. Shinjiro was gone and Nobu didn't get the feeling that Yukari was talking about Shinjiro.
"Takeba-chan, you're right." He admitted, not sure what else to really say regarding her situation. Given that he had no sway in the matter and all attempts of consolation would be hollow gestures. His eyes were avoiding her not out of deception, but more out of grief.
"I know that feeling a lot more than you may be aware. The feeling of doing all you could for to save someone you care about, only to fail in the end." This wasn't a contest of whose pain was greater. Even if it was, Nobu wouldn't have the heart in him to try and compare their pain. Hers was far worse than his. Fuuka was still alive, Minato wasn't. His life was a constant reminder about his failures. It was all he could do to try and at least let her know that he does understand her pain, though not entirely.
#samayo-tamashi#//Figured to at least cut out the ask blocks.#//Also Nobu will address her respectfully until told otherwise.

Nobu grew panicked when she frowned and panicked about the parfait. "The servers best try to accomodate for their customer's style of decorum. The server will be back eventually and you can inquire about adding the parfait to your order." Though it was the times when it was a group of people that made that manner of service hard to sustain, especially when cultural normals contradicted.
"Just don't set the standards too high for it." He would lightly joke to try and ease her tensions about the parfait.
Given the quantity of people, he was expecting that some sort of surprise was expected when serving customers.
Eventually, their server would make their way to a separate table to address the customers there.

Well, this was certainly embarrassing for him to say the least. He wasn't expecting many people to pay him mind while he worked out. It would've worked out....if he hadn't ended up pushing himself too far. Aiming for high reps with low weights, he eventually hit his limit with the dumbbells in his hands while doing dumbbell and he could no longer bring them to his chest, but he couldn't drop them without injurying himself.
Eventually grunting as he tried to get the dumbbells back in a spot to stop, he was embarrassed enough that someone saw him in this position, but more so was that someone he knew. He always wanted to be seen as dependable and not a burden. "I-I'm fine....fine...." He would manage, trying to weigh between maintain an image of himself and the harm associated with it.
Eventually, his health would win. "Actually....can....can you help me.....me out here...." He would admit, though it increased his embarrassment. Thankfully he worked out well enough to keep from having his arms giving out for a while, but that still had a limit.
@investigationshoujo
"uh... senpai? d'you need a hand with that?"

"You know better than me." It wasn't the reaction he was hoping to get, but then again, he wasn't very sure if that was a good way to tease her about the subject.
"The manner of eating is generally the same, though there are differences when it comes to etiquette about the meal. So dessert is after the meal. With the variety of customers and food types, most places probably default to a western style." He admitted, but would figure that was the best way of putting how he felt about the matter.
"I don't like Korean food. At the same time, I don't dislike it. I never had it. Spent most of my time eating local cuisine being a citizen, but just like you are exploring abit of the cuisine through here, figured to join you and do the same." Though he felt it might seem a bit weird for him to have something from america while she is having something from Japan.
