What I hope RU Next can achieve is a somewhat healthier attitude towards girls and women in survival shows. Idk but watching GP999, QD2, BP and now QD Puzzle really puts into perspective how both producers and fans are so quick to demonize every girl who breathes in the wrong direction while only bringing up the positives when it comes to guys.

Part of why boys planet was so fun to me personally was that you really got to see everyone becoming friends. Yes there was evil editing, but even then fans had way more sympathy for the guys who got edited poorly, when earlier they took what mnet had to say about the girls at face value. Everyone talks about the friendships in boys planet, but friendships in girls planet and queendom got mostly ignored in favor of fanwars even when the trainees themselves talked about how close they had gotten. “Attitude” seems to only be a huge problem when it comes to girls. Like remember the Woonggi/Phanbin banter? Obviously that was super light hearted and fun, but can you imagine the reaction if two girls said stuff like that? They would’ve been called rude, bullies, probably would never have their debut supported. Why do we only judge girls so harshly?

Since the girls on RU Next are, from my understanding, all hybe trainees, it’s in hybe’s best interests to not create a bad image for any of their potential future idols. That’s why I have some faith that the editing, and by extension the fans, will be kinder to these girls. I have my problems with the show (a 12 yr old seriously??) but in regards to how girls on survival shows are viewed, maybe things can improve. If this show sets a precedent, we could hope to see less pitting women against each other in kpop. Hopefully this will not just be a hybe privilege, but can extend to how survival shows are handled in general.

In conclusion, give me more friendships! I know that some of these girls will grow close, so let’s stop pretending they all secretly hate each other. Again, both the producers and fans have a responsibility to not put down other women just to lift up the girls they like.

The chance for someone from R U Next? debuting with Babymonster is there. However, not now. YGE is delaying adding someone out of sudden in the same way they delay to remove someone else (khm, Haram?, Haram?) They will eventually want to add someone else in the distant future (3+ months), and for now I’m looking to Wonhee. (bc of the reading about them)

They might decide to not add former survival show participant in the future too but for now the energy about it is this. For now no, in the future however they will consider it.

The Looks of Fairy Transformations

1. Magic Wings

As a young Fairy is able to transform, the outfit of their first transformation will be in up to three different shades of their favourite color. Their wings however, have the color of their magic.

2. Charmix

Their, at first monochrome, outfit will become analogous in color. An accessory in form of a gem will show up on the outfit, it's entirely made of the Fairy's Magic and will have the same color - this is called a Fairies Charm. Also, the Fairy's wings will grow bigger.

3. Enchantix

The Fairy's outfit gets even more colourful, with a cloth in a color close to the Fairy's magic. Their Charm turns into a Fairy Dust Bottle, their shoes are replaced by barefoot sandals, their wings will change in shape and become even bigger.

4. Faerix

The Fairy will look a little more like they are dressed in their magic, by the cloth piece of their outfit becoming the same color and the wings become bigger once more, whilst also continuously shifting between two colours. The Fairy Dust Bottle will disappear, as it is not needed any more.

since it’s aired on mnet, i think they pushed it back because of their survival shows. i believe this isn’t hybe’s fault at all. at least this time. i believe hybe is trying to make mnet think otherwise, so it’s on mnet, not on hybe.

is it scrapped?: nine of diamonds, ace of hearts, seven of spades, jack of spades, king of diamonds

i don’t know if it isn’t scrapped. however, mnet might’ve scrapped them, so idk if they’re looking for other tv medias to air in korea..

why it’s delayed?: judgement, the sun, five of swords rx, king of pentacles, eight of cups • death

mhm. they’re looking for another tv channel. they’re changing the network! they will find it and there’s no signs of delay, however there are thoughts and changes.

what will be the timeframe of the show getting released?: six of diamonds, king of spades, three and two of spades, three of diamonds

i would say up to three months, although king of swords decides everything.

what we might expect from the show?: seven of swords rx, queen of wands, eight of wands rx, six of pentacles, knight of pentacles rx • the magician

i’d say the team of the show is working hard as usual, so i’d say the survival show will probably be the same as the previous season however the seven of swords rx might indicate there might be news about i-land that might reveal the shit that allegedly happened.

small update

ok so um I got my number theory paper today, and the TA had cut marks for me because i left the answer at 66^2 and not 4356 (fermat's little theorem) 😔 I even wrote the full proof

my friend told me I should mail the TA about this, I got 14/20 and should be getting 17or18/20 😔

scores aside, number theory is so much fun, so much fun. the only good thing here is that I know the concepts well, and I fully knew the paper (still fucked it up, because I'm so frickin slow while writing and time). and it hurts worse because there's not enough proof that validates my knowledge. which in turn makes me question if i actually do have any.

I am, in general, a person who does well in concepts but screws up the exams (70% of the time) and I'm trying, I'm trying to get myself out of this "exam paniK" that I often spiral into, just minutes before the exam. I hope I change and grow; I hope, I hope.

Finally got my hands on vol. 1 of the skybound tf comics and WOW!!!! DWJ, Mike Spicer, and Rus Wooton absolutely knocking it OUT OF THE PARK with this one!!!!

The bombastic lettering… the vibrant colours…. The loose and stylized line art… the gentle and grounded writing… I love it. I was optimistic after reading Do a Powerbomb! and I was right to be so! What a fantastic team of storytellers.
