The Perfect Gift

(Happy birthday, Remus!)

“I have something to show you.” Sirius said. “C’mon.” They went upstairs and stopped in front of the closed door to the third bedroom. “Close your eyes.” Remus looked like he was going to protest, thought better of it, and complied. Sirius waved his wand, removing the invisible barrier from the doorway. He took Remus’s hand and led him into the middle of the room. Sirius put his hands on Remus’s hips, steadying him. “Ok, open.”

Remus opened his eyes. Sirius could feel his breath catch as he turned in a small circle, taking in the details of the library. Sirius had gotten rid of the overhead light and installed several lamps that bathed the room in a buttery glow. Remus raised his hand to his chin and let out a soft, “Oooh.”

Sirius stepped out from behind him so he could see his reaction. “What do you think?” Sirius asked him quietly.

Remus blinked several times and turned to him, his molten honey eyes full. “I…I don’t know what to say. I can’t believe you did this.”

“Happy birthday, darling. I love you.”

Remus pulled him close, into a tight hug. Sirius could feel him quivering against him, making a valiant effort to control his emotions. “I love you too.” Remus whispered.

They held onto each other for a long moment as Remus regained his composure. When he next met Sirius’s gaze, his eyes were clear. “Show me.” he said, to Sirius’s delight.

Sirius took his hand and led him to the shelves, with a grand sweep of his arm. “To start our tour, we have our bookshelves… walnut, built in with the finest transfiguration by yours truly. And then we have our books…magical books over here, Muggle books on the other wall.” He then led Remus to the stained glass window. “Here we have a window with stained glass panels that looks out onto the ocean.” Remus paused and gazed out the window for a moment. He took in the depiction of Moony, Padfoot and the full moon in the glass, running his fingers over them gently.. “For very important work related things, we have a desk that you can actually sit at..and a sofa for relaxing. Maybe that’s mostly for me.” Sirius concluded with a wink. He sat down on the sofa and Remus sat down next to him.

“This is…amazing. You’re amazing.” Remus said, still overcome with emotion.“Thank you.” He kissed Sirius, long and slow. Sirius pulled him closer and wrapped his arms around Remus, deepening the kiss.

First Born Part Two

Part One

It was a momentous occasion the first heir was to turn one in just over a day. The little girl brought an unknown joy to the kingdom. One that many thought would never return after the arkenstone. The party was to be huge, the entire kingdom was coming along with all the dwarf lords of the four separate dwarf kingdoms.

The festivities had started. Music, dancing, eating, drinking, games and many more things where going on around the decorated halls Emerald green, sky blue and hazel colour streamers hung from the ceiling. Torches just low enough that they wouldn't catch fire. Coloured cloth draped over tables with plates sat upon them full to the bring with food. Three tables stand at the front of the party piled high with beautiful hand mad gifts for the one year old princess. She was yet to join her party as she was napping.

One hour later the guests are asked to pay attention to the doors as they started to open revealing the royal family with the newest addition laughing and clapping happily in her mother's arms. Awwwww's ripples through the crowd as of planned. When they stopped at the front Thror spoke. "Let us continue to celebrate the first birthday of my great-grand daughter Dia and May she have many more!"

Even in death I will protect you and keep you from harm. You will forever and always be my little brother no matter how big you get." Little did she know her mom, uncle's grandfather and great-grandfather were out side the room listening to her little speech.

Their relationship didn't start out like Thorin and Dis's. They were very close, even though Fili had no idea what was happening around him. His sister spent every second she could with her brother as she was very protective of him. As time went on the bond between the two only grew. They did everything together; train, eat, sleep though it was in separate beds, play and hunt.

(A/N Brown haired on is Fili I'm going as his hair lightened as he got older and the blond in Dia her hair darken at the roots when she turned fifty, middle is Thorin)

Sure Dia was a lot older than her brother but it didn't bother either of them. Everything was perfect everything was fine. Until that one day when Dia was forty-eight and Fili was fourteen. Their mum was pregnant with their little sibling. They were ecstatic. Life just got so much better.

Dia and Fili couldn't wait to meet the little tike. They even came up with a group name as they couldn't use The Dynamic Duo anymore they thought; Triple Trouble. Fili and Dia helped their mom a lot seeing as they wanted their younger sibling to be in perfect health. When the day they had all been waiting for finally arrived Fili ran for the physician then the rest of his family.

Weird RWBY Dialogue Episode 4: Rebuttle

Obvious problem with the scene being that Nora must be stopping and starting her rant as they move from place to place. I’m not pointing out anything new there.

Obvious problem but the scene they are addressing is the Nora wake up scene, not the Nora rant scenes. So this isn’t even lined up right. Also what they show isn’t dialogue which is supposed to be the focus of the posts.

24 hours? It’s morning. Did they all arrive at Beacon yesterday morning and not the afternoon or something? Does that mean they got to Beacon in the morning, just sat around on their asses until Ozpin’s speech, then spent he evening in the ballroom? Or did the ballroom setting last the afternoon leading up to the evening? Jfc like why on earth even write lines like this. Just say “overnight” instead.

Because it’s nowhere near as funny because “overnight” implies very little time for hijicks whereas “24 hours” does. Also, considering Nora erratic and humorous speech pattern, this is entirely in character for her.

I know I just started but Ren and Nora are so fucking perfect. While the method isn’t great, having this build up of Nora being the annoying one while Ren is visually getting fed up with her behavior, and yet the payoff is Ren simply commenting on some semantic bit of her dialogue, like, it’s perfect. It shows precisely what their relationship is like and why they work together. It’s so wonderful I don’t even think it was on purpose. Anyways…

Problem here: Re;RWBY advertises that Team RWBY will be given more spotlight meaning this so called perfect dialogue will be shelved. Unless by more Team RWBY they just mean “act like Jaune doesn’t exist” which considering she tried to have Blake replace him, isn’t that far fetched.

Yang’s hypocrisy sets in. She’s proud of Ruby, she wants to protect her, but wants her to get out of her shell, but for the rest of this arc has no problems when it appears she’ll be fighting alongside her. Also Yang, look around, your starting class is like 12 people. Odds aren’t on your side.

Probably because for the most of this arc, Yang and Ruby barely interact and it’s instead Ruby and Jaune or Ruby and Weiss or Yang and Blake. She even intentionally rockets herself through the Emerald Forest so Ruby can’t get to her easily. The author needs to learn perspective.

That’s a lot of fucking lockers for there being like two dozen students in the school. And a map? Is that a joke because why would there be a map or did Jaune actually pick up a map to the locker room?

Okay from now on wheneve rthe author questions a joke, I’m just going to quote a scene from Red Vs. Blue that makes no sense to give context on who they are talking about.

“Sarge: I have bulletwound in the head and you’re answer to that is CPR?! What would you have done in it was the foot, rub Aloe vera on it?”

Early installment weirdness of this being a cutaway gag. Otherwise it’s kinda clever to show that Weiss is so conceited that to her, Pyrrha wouldn’t also be the smartest girl in class. Clearly she should be fucking smart as hell.

Yeah RWBy had some quirks in the beginning...Although Weiss is shown to be very studious and smart in later episodes so this is inexcusable.

Weiss has not met Jaune until now. She literally referenced him as a passer-by during the Ozpin speech, but they have never spoken or interacted. He showed up to help Ruby after she left too. Weiss shouldn’t be irritated by this complete stranger who she has never heard speak.

Wow, maybe the author is a brain dead valley girl. Because they bitched about the interaction between Weiss and Jaune last time! (Natural blonde anyone?)

The previous record in the history of a regional tournament is only 3 years in a row? That’s kinda weak. I mean Pyrrha is a special case for being as gifted and as lucky as she is, but I’d assume she’d accomplish something more impressive for Weiss to reference.

Unless of course the championship is very hard and the people can’t hld onto their crown for one year, let alone three. Also, this means Pyrrha’s been winning since she was 14: a very young age for such fighting.

What behavior? Just the confidence bit? Like okay Weiss doesn’t like him but damn. It might just be another clever bit that shows how much of a bitch Weiss is though; she’s trying to be nice around Pyrrha but the mere presence of Jaune makes her break the persona. Pyrrha, on the inside, must be like, get me the fuck out of here.

Or that Pyrrha is giving him false hope and that she’s coddling him which Pyrrha kind of did. Weiss would definitely see it that way, considering her heritage.

Pyrrha is way too kind and, as I said, should be way too weary of Weiss to resort to violence to get Jaune off them.

Jaune was getting pretty in Weiss’ speace there, even I a straight...ish male think so. Although I have a thing about personal space so that might just be me.

Oh my god, ALL first years? So the kids on the cliff are in fact the first years in their entirety. They could have fit in some more shadow people, right? Or imply it’s just a section of first-years? Ruby should be like, wow, it’ll sure be easy to team up with Yang at this rate!

Yeah! It’s not like RWBY had severe budget limitations in it’s first season! Wait...

Told him what? Before, Nora was just wondering if they’d be on the same team, not guessing the method for deciding it. She just shot out some ideas for finding each other.
