Food Safety Supervisor Training is mandatory in South Australia.

** Basic Food Safety Unit is a pre-requisite of the Food Supervisor course. If you have not yet completed the basic unit, please purchase bundle option #1.
SITXFSA002 is commonly known as the Food Supervisor unit of competency for food safety training within the Hospitality sector. It includes food safety practices such as how to follow Food Safety Programs & HACCP, store food safely, prepare food safely, provide safe single use items, maintain a clean enviornment and dispose of food safely. People at many levels use this skill in the workplace during the course of their daily activities, including cooks, chefs, caterers, kitchen hands and food and beverage attendants.
The nominated FSS must have completed FSS training in the prescribed units by an RTO.
Once you have completed your course please ensure you advise your local council of your FSS certificate.
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Statement of Attainment for unit: SITXFSA002 Participate in safe food handling practices

How You Will be Assessed
To ensure that you meet the learning outcomes for this unit, you are asked to complete the following General Assessment requirements – there are three (3) main stages of the assessment:
1. Knowledge Assessment
The knowledge assessment refers to the quizzes contained throughout the course which are found at the end of each module, each question must be answered correctly to enable you to proceed to the next module. If an incorrect answer/s is submitted you will be automatically taken to the beginning of the module to re-read content and re-answer the incorrect question/s
2. Case Study Assessment
This assessment includes short answer questions that must be answered correctly and in your own words. It is an online written assessment which requires AAAT assessors to mark answers, which means that you do NOT receive your certificate immediately, however we aim to assess as soon as possible, generally, you will receive your certificate same day as successful completion.
3. Verbal Assessment
You will be required to contact the AAAT team on 1300 287 554
0800-1700 (AEST) Monday to Friday or
0800-1200 Sat & Sun.
The verbal assessment takes approx. 5 minutes to complete.
You will be asked three (3) randomly automated selected questions from the course content.
Please have your form of ID provided at commencement of training along with the ID number ready as you will be asked to verify and confirm this ID.
All assessment stages are required to be answered correctly, if a question is answered incorrectly during stage 2 & 3, the student will receive feedback/discussion from our assessors and asked to resubmit. Stage 1 requires 100% competency to enable the student to proceed as noted under heading ‘Knowledge Assessment’
