Finally after long last they've arrived, Chara's Flowey equivalent is here!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm currently using the placeholder name Bella for them, they are specifically a buttercup flower instead of the unspecified golden flower that Flowey is. Note Chara (and Frisk, Kris, River Person, Napstablook & MK) is nonbinary in RS therefore Bella is as well.
The name Bella came from the B in buttercup along with the poison Belladonna which I felt was sort-of ironic given how Chara died was (self-inflicted) poison, it may not be permanent however if I find something more fitting.
Unlike Flowey having his black empty eyes Bella has red empty eyes, specifically Frisk's eye color from soulless pacifist as I wanted to add more uniqueness to them.

Gay billy rights, but have you ever considered chrissy and billy? It's such an out of left field ship, but i honestly can't get enough.
He could teach her how to stand up for herself, and she would soften his edges a bit and show him what it's like to actually be loved.
Platonic or romantic, calicheer my BELOVED
listen because…because….BECAUSE i have considered it. besties!calicheer is one of my favorite freaking things. whenever i see it in fics, it’s always such a pleasant surprise. i feel like chrissy’s usually a chara that you see kinda adjacent to steve because of his proximity to eddie and alladat BUT….
you’re so right. i think she would be so gentle and so genuine with him, as a romantic interest. she’d probably be one of the only people that sees through his front/the image that he projects of having little to no emotional depth + interest in things other than sex. and i think he’d see himself in her a lot and not wanna hurt her.
i could see her treating him like a troublesome little brother, where she scolds him or holds his hands through the tough bits, in a platonic rs. esp when she realizes (before a lot of people do) that he’s being abused :( and vice versa. or maybe billy treats HER like a little sister and always backs her up when people underestimate her or reduce her to a stereotype. he’d drape his jacket over her shoulders when she’s cold and share his lunch with her just so he’s sure she’s eating. calicheer? saddest + most wholesome ship ever.

I wanna talk about the rpg stuff a bit more...
I got a bit burned out with the RS comics and I wanted to colour something for a change after doing screentone a lot. I mainly wanted to draw Ryoken with long hair shooting a bow and then I remembered I already drew an RPG redesign in 2020. I only did five charas back then, so this turned into a redraw with more characters. I really wanted to include all the ignis this time and ended up really liking the way I teamed them up, both on equal and unequal terms. This is not taking their Vrains counterparts as being origins/ignis into consideration, they're not related to each other in that way here. I ended up having the most fun with Go's hair, Spectre's dryad, clingy Windy and Aqua's colouring. The basic fighting system is loosely based on the games Arcanum and Grandia.

I'm not gonna lie, I just came here to show ya my haul of Nucani SSRs as a f2p user <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My secret? I have been entering every day since the game's released and have just missed two days since then(The game tells you and I have logged in a total of 423 days). I am a big time grinder and the thing that caught me the most in this game was the battle mecanics so they are always fun!! I also slowly and steadily learned tricks to get better things and I do my dailies, weeklies and monthlies without fail. I also decided to only roll on the event banners and not on the specific character banners or the normal banners as you still have a chance to get the normal SSRs there! Another thing is to not have shame in searching for tutorials for the battles, there are many online, but I recommend the most a channel named ZEROPHOS that does low rarity clearing of the battles so you dont need SSRs and can use SRs and Rs to clear even the hardest levels.
Make the game mechanics your friends and not your enemies basically, try to go with the flow and you will find out that you can also get pretty nice charas.

Hmm I'm not sure If I should tell you that. I briefly saw some of your interactions with that chara and not all of them were pleasant
...alright, then i'll give you something you can't refuse in return!
RS-01 was my best friend! I died before they did, because the orphanage staff left me behind when we went out to the lake one day!
I hate that stupid Addison because-
ENOUGH, CHILD.
Dad?
THEY HAVEN'T EARNED. THAT KNOWLEDGE YET.
Okay!

We think he's alr but idk if we're comfortable doing YouTuber stuff in general. We did Jerma ones just for fun but otherwise we probably won't bc it strays into weirdo territory.

Big Ol' Iniquitale Lore Dump™️
┉ WD Gaster, otherwise known as ▛Bunny▟
His mother was a Boss Monster with an extensive harem seeking to breed the "perfect" monster heir to her claimed niche of the Underground. Bunny, when he was born, became an important piece to her plans: he was born with her Boss Monster typing and anatomy that meant that he would be able to impregnate and become impregnated, which would speed her plans up quite a bit.
He wasn't very happy with this fate, and she was never particularly 'nice.' One night in his adolescent years he drugged her and killed her; soon after that he was found by the Royal Scientist of that time and taken under his wing. Unfortunately, the Royal Scientist had been in cahoots with his mother--he was found when the RS was dropping in to deliver a new batch of experimental fertility supplements--and the guy planned to carry on the fallen Matriarch's work.
So, of course, Bunny killed him, too. He also stole some research notes and weaseled his way into becoming the next Royal Scientist.
Alas, the lunatic apple did not fall far from the crazy tree; he became completely and utterly obsessed with one of his assistants. And it was fine for a time, Fuse was hesitant but eventually receptive to his courtship--but when that obsessiveness and its accompanying jealousy reared its head it begat problems. Those problems culminated in an act of karma: Fuse murdered Bunny.
However, that event attracted the notice of the first human to live and die in the Underground. Dead as they were they were able to broker a deal with the scientist before his soul ultimately shattered into nothingness, granting him the ability to Reset and to also Remember the timelines he Reset from. His first and only Save Point was the first moment he took notice of Fuse: a day in the laboratory where technical issues drove the guy to punch out a monitor.
'Splattered,' as they called themselves, wanted to see if Bunny could avoid his apparent Death Flag.
His Fate
Bunny did not avoid his Death Flag. He ended each and every run dying in various ways--be it by being murdered by his boyfriend or by Science gone awry.
In the last timeline wherein he was alive and in one piece, he proposed to Fuse by creating a contraption that sucked up every other soul in the Underground aside from Bunny's and his, effectively killing every single monster and human living there from the Ruins to New Home.
Unfortunately for Bunny he decided to give Fuse a choice of buttons to press. One would send all of those souls to the void, leaving them to be the last living creatures in the Underground, alone and together for the rest of their lives.
The other button, which Fuse opted to press, would release all of those souls and instead condemn Bunny to the void instead. While Bunny didn't stay in the void - not entirely - he was never the same again and ultimately ended up trapped partly-reformed Underground as a glitchy, half-conscious, melty mess.
┉ Chara Dreemurr, otherwise known as ▛Splattered▟
Rather than falling, they snuck in with the monsters as they were banished Underground because they were friends, at the time, with Asriel Dreemurr. They were subsequently adopted into the Dreemurr family, because what else were they going to do?
It was all well and good at first, until one fateful day when they were out with Asriel playing like kids were wont to do they came across the first Royal Scientist since the Barrier's erection.
The Royal Scientist at that time was a vulture woman with a taste for human flesh, fresh or otherwise. She had tried desperately to create a substitute, hence the aggressive, fleshy fungal infestation that overtook what was once Waterfall. It never tasted right to her, however.
Upon seeing the adopted human Dreemurr, she couldn't stop herself from attacking them. As Asriel watched in horror, Chara was killed.
Chara, of course, Reset to their last Save Point and avoided that location when they and Asriel went out to play--but their Death Flag followed them. They kept running into the Royal Scientist, and the Royal Scientist kept murdering them in order to eat their flesh. Eventually Chara gave up, (and with their death it was decreed that no human that fell would meet the same fate else the perpetrator would be executed -- although for their own safety any human that fell was kept in what would eventually become the Ruins Orphanage,) and in the chaos of their last attempt their soul fled the scene and drifted until Bunny caught their attention a century or so later.
They brokered a deal with him. And supplied him with the nickname they chose for themselves, 'Splattered,' or just 'Splat,' because 'Chara' was a no-no name -- King Asriel didn't like to remember the time where he was so helpless he couldn't save his sibling.
Bunny, of course, failed, and even had the audacity to trap them in with every other soul in the Underground in his last grand scheme.
So they brokered a deal with the assistant that he had been so obsessed with upon being freed. It wasn't much of of a deal and more, 'hey, everyone's dead, this sucks, I'll grant you the ability to Reset and Remember if you don't mind me sticking around.' They eventually became rather good friends with Fuse.
Their alliance is the only reason the Underground isn't a dusty hellhole--about a year after their first Reset back to semi-normalcy, Frisk fell, and they were deadset on killing everyone. It took approximately sixty-or-so Resets--which, given that each Reset put them back to a year before Frisk's fall, numbered just as many years--until the two of them, with the assistance of Shelphys, put together a plan and figured out how to execute it perfectly.
Unfortunately it involved having to discreetly kill, by poison, every living human in the Orphanage shortly before Frisk's fall so that their soul could be used to break the Barrier before they could Reset.
Their Fate
When the Barrier was destroyed, Splat went missing. Beyond that, it's unknown what became of them.
┉ Comic Sans Serif, otherwise known as ▛Fuse▟
He grew up and raised his brother in Snowdin, and doesn't really know what became of their parents.
For a while he and his bro were known as 'the Graver Bros' -- a couple of ravers who even DJ'd in clubs on occasion. He's the one who instilled in Papyrus the ideals of PLUR and taught him what there was to know about the scene. This part of his life, though, is a big fuzzy blur. He knows it happened, there are photos and posters for their past shows, but it feels like several lifetimes ago.
He changed when he started working at the Laboratory and he isn't quite sure when it happened or even how, exactly.
(Despite regaling him with many tales of the things he could not personally remember, Chara never did tell him that Bunny briefly partnered up with a different skeleton, an interloper from elsewhere that could alter the underlying code of an AU, to change bits and pieces of Fuse's intrinsic existence so that Bunny wouldn't have to influence him as much at the beginning of each Reset--it's also why he feels nausea upon teleporting or being teleported. The little coder menace fucked up as much as he succeeded.)
His Fate
Aside from Chara's stories, he doesn't personally remember anything from any of Bunny's Resets and fuck-ups aside from the very last. He does, however, remember everything from his own Resets. As such he's a sixty-something year old man in twenty-eight year old bones.
On the Surface, he's a failure, living in a run-down apartment and working at a chop-shop. He's good at car jacking, but that's about it; humans are fussy and won't let him utilize his knowledge of mechanics and engineering in a legitimate profession because he doesn't have the 'right' certification, and he doesn't have the money to start something of his own(, and he won't accept that much charity from Shel). He's pretty much forced to be a criminal to get by.
No one but him and Shelphys knows how the Barrier fell, and no one can ever know, else they'll be dusted for the mass murder of the Orphanage humans. Shelphys sometimes helps him out, or at least tries to, and sometimes drags him to cute cafes when Undyne is too busy.
He has a tepid relationship with his brother. They don't quite see eye-to-eye, but they do hang out sometimes.
He's friends (with benefits) with the polyamorous thruple BP, Catty, and Bratty.
┉ Papyrus Serif, otherwise known as ▛Papyrus▟
He was raised, of course, by his brother. Somehow, Papyrus turned out to be a good guy.
When Fuse became too busy working at the Laboratory, and eventually moved out to live with his boss in New Home, Papyrus gave up the Graver gig and instead put in an application with the Ruins Orphanage. The Royals accepted him, and he became Undyne's assistant, thus becoming both Guard and Guardian-in-training.
Whether it was jealousy or bad vibes, he never liked Bunny and avoided Snowdin and the Orphanage whenever the time came for the Royal Scientist to come by to deliver the former King's medication and other such supplies.
At least, that was while Bunny still existed.
When that one's existence was erased, Papyrus was left confused about his brother. One morning Sans left to go and do something--and that same evening he returned home very, very different, and he was even using a different name...?
For a time, Papyrus continued the Graver Bros shows without his brother, but he eventually ceased and went to work at the Orphanage, submitting an application, getting accepted, being taken under Undyne's wing... Over and over again, unknown to himself.
His Fate
When the Barrier fell, it was truly a mystery. The humans that he had been helping take care of were all gone... But monsterkind was freed.
Much like the rest of the monsters that lived on his side of the Caverns, Papyrus adjusted to like on the Surface with relative ease--unlike his brother, unfortunately.
Papyrus became a daycare worker given his experience in minding children of every sort and given how much he liked doing so.
┉ Alphys, otherwise known as ▛Shelphys, or just Shel▟
Originally she applied to be an assistant under the Royal Scientist in order to be able to conduct her own research on the side with the equipment and resources made available to her in the position, and her aim was to become the next Royal Physician. Her areas of expertise were and are magi-biology and genetics.
The bulk of said personal research laid in the various applications of the varieties of fungus growing in the Caverns. She figured out how to alter the underlying magibiology and genetics of various types of fungus to cultivate her own and managed to grow new limbs and other prosthetics for those in need, and... "Toys," of sorts, to help fund her research and other areas of her life on the side. She also experimented in the creation of various cures, and would often use Bunny as a guinea pig given how often that man would get himself injured.
Bunny would occasionally influence her in various different timelines just to see what he could make her do, especially in regards to Undyne. It was never anything good, and definitely never anything wholesome.
When Bunny was erased from the AU wholesale, she became the new Royal Scientist in his stead. She has never been quite sure how she got that position. Of course, the general areas of her research and results remained the same.
It took a few dozen Resets for Fuse to eventually turn to her and enlist her assistance in figuring out how to avoid the massacre Frisk was Determined to bring about. They eventually worked out a way to expedite the process so that she would believe him quickly and more easily. In the very last timeline they're former colleagues and good friends.
Her Fate
She gets that fish woman. They're married shortly after monsterkind is freed.
Shel convinces the humans that she knows what she's doing in order to continue her fungal research and she continues to sell "toys" on the side to fund it and those other areas of her life.
...
Approximately five years or so later one incident of negligence results in her fish wife becoming patient zero and the head honcho of a fungal hivemind that threatens to take over the world.
┉ Undyne, otherwise known as ▛Undyne▟
The Royal Guardian of the Ruins Orphanage, which she was mostly responsible for given the rather advanced ages of the Royal Couple. She was tasked with protecting and looking after both monster kids and humans of various ages--although the humans that made it to adulthood assisted as well.
Of course, Undyne being Undyne, she taught her charges self-defense and how to fight both with and without magic or weaponry. (Not that it helped the humans.)
At some point she lost an eye. Shel makes her prosthetics out of magibio-genetically altered fungus, with occasional upgrades as she develops them, both past and present tense. Undyne keeps her false eye hidden behind her hair outside of battle because it's rather unsettling to look at, or so she thinks.
Her Fate
She marries Shelphys shortly after monsterkind is freed, as stated.
Approximately five years after, Shel makes her a new prosthetic that is meant to be able to function as any eye should via integrating itself into her magic.
While this particular cultivar was tested for a year on a controlled magic source, it was never tested on the uncontrolled and messy source of magic that is the average monster. It takes a year and some months for it to spread throughout her body and take over. Her body becomes a biohazard. Her mind's no longer hers. She's the beginning of a fungal zombie apocalypse and its Hivemind Queen, able to infect others, who can in turn also infect others.
Think Prototype's Elizabeth Greene.
┉ BP, otherwise known as ▛Bartholomeow Pickles▟
An utter sleazeball that somehow managed to get himself two hot girlfriends--Catty and Bratty--who are also girlfriends, and the three of them are 'always open for more.'
In the Underground he ran BP's Resort - family friendly eatery by day, strip joint by night, with comedy nights on Friday evenings that functioned as Fuse's little side-gigs. His own side-hustle? Drug peddling, of various hallucinogenic mushroom strains.
His Fate
Similar to Fuse, on the Surface, the guy's a total failure. The humans never let him establish his Resort up there due to all their laws and junk.
Often goes bar hopping with Fuse. They're besties-with-bennies.
┉ Toriel and Asgore Dreemurr, otherwise known as ▛Toriel and Asgore Dreemurr / The Royal Couple▟
When their adopted human child was murdered, they decreed that no human that may end up in the Underground shall meet the same fate. When Home fell to Ruins over time, they did not move to New Home with their son -- by that time they were old. Asgore crowned Asriel King of the Underground and retired to help his wife build what would become the Ruins Orphanage.
Their Fate
When the Barrier fell, they died together shortly after getting to see the sky again.
┉ Asriel Dreemurr, otherwise known as ▛Azzy▟
The traumatized King of Monsters.
A bit of a hard ass, but he knows how to have fun.
(I haven't really thought about him much...)
His Fate
Politics hell with the Surface humans, trying to keep the peace between the Hotlands-New Home monsters and everyone else.
╳╳╳
┉ Regions
Due to the Underground being split into two halves given the mess that is the Caverns (few people either know of or bother to use the tunnels beneath them), the Underground has two different cultures.
▛Ruins Orphanage - Snowdin▟
Generally 'vanilla,' this is where the generally well-adjusted monsters tend to live. Other than the Ruins containing several monsters that would have otherwise lived in Waterfall, as well as containing an Orphanage, this half of the Underground isn't much different from the Classic version.
Well--there's a club somewhere in the outskirts of Snowdin that throws raves and parties, too. But beyond that... It's just Ruins and Snowdin.
In the Ruins Orphanage, monster children and humans are both present. Fallen humans live out their lives there, and several willingly allow their souls to be contained at the end of their lives so that monsterkind may eventually use them to break the Barrier. There is at least one human couple who reached adulthood together and had a child, and they both assist with taking care of the children as well as the old Royal Couple.
Humans aren't allowed to leave the Ruins Orphanage for their own safety. While there is a decree that any monster who kills a human shall be executed themselves, there are no guarantees that any such murderers would be caught after the act, and if they were to absorb their victim's soul they wouldn't be able to be brought to justice very easily.
▛The Meat Caverns▟
Once plain ol' Waterfall, the first Royal Scientist since the Barrier's erection altered the landscape dramatically by unleashing a meaty, sickly sweet, fungal infestation. While the infestation is mainly confined to the Caverns due to being sandwiched between two extremes (chilling cold and blazing hot), the spores are easily carried on clothing, shoes, fur... And those spores survive better in the heat than the cold.
The majority of the fungal cultivars that have evolved remain edible and are utilized as a food source and ingredient. Most of the flour in the Underground is made of mushrooms, for example. Most of the meat, too. Most of the everything.
▛Hotlands-New Home▟
The only way through Hotlands to New Home is through the Laboratory. You can only go through the Laboratory if you have access, have made an appointment for traveling through, or are being escorted by a staff member.
The reason? To cut down on the incident of spores finding their way to New Home, courtesy the Lab's disinfectant systems. It isn't perfect, though. Occasionally an infestation will surface in New Home, and its residents are advised to burn the fungus where they find it.
The culture on this side of the Underground was much less 'vanilla' and lived up to the AU's nickname, 'Iniquitale' -- it was a den of iniquity, ne'er-do-wells, sex fiends and drug pushers. Even if you had to go to the very outskirts, you could find something for anyone, from hardcore BDSM clubs to rickety snuff shacks where monsters paid to be killed in peculiar ways.
When monsterkind was freed, one half of the Underground clearly adjusted better to living among humans with their laws and rules and social expectations.
After the Barrier's destruction, the Underground was sealed off with a new, less magical, metal barrier to keep the fungus from ever spreading to the Surface. Only those with clearance are legally allowed in and out of the Underground.

She also experiemented in the creation of various cures, and would often use Bunny as a guinea pig given how often that man would get himself injured.
Shel makes her prosthetics out of magibio-genetically altered fungus, with occasional upgrades as she developes them, both past and present tense.
