The first man took a deep breath, steadying his nerves but doing little to dampen his excitement. This was his chance to wipe it all away, start a new chapter as the hero and father he had always wanted to be. Protecting his children from danger, even from himself if needed. With him and her erased, he could finally fix everything. He didn't need to do this but.... the nerd in him was itching for it.

He grabbed a silver cross necklace out of his pocket and kissed it throwing it up in the air, as a song only he could hear played in his head. "With this sword, I smite those who disobey. The lord's word is absolute. A crusader knight. Please guide my way with your holy light"!! Orange flaming wings appeared on his back, a glittering black Axe guitar in hand, he strummed but once, striking a pose, and throwing devil horns. God, he felt so cool right now. He headed out, eyes on the Skys, Ready to smite anyone who disobeyed the orders.

Gabriel’s breath caught at his Father’s words, the weight of them pressing against his chest. His wings drooped slightly, the golden tips brushing the air as he absorbed the pain that lingered in His voice. It wasn’t often that his Father spoke so openly about loss, and hearing it now made Gabriel’s heart ache anew.

“I understand the feeling, believe me…” Gabriel echoed softly, his voice carrying the same sorrowful undertones. “It never really goes away, does it? You just learn to live with it. To find other things to fill the empty spaces, but they never quite fill the same.” He glanced down, his fingers tracing idle patterns in the soft warmth of his Father’s palm.

He nodded slowly, his Father’s wisdom grounding him as it always did. “Melancholy is a stubborn thing, isn’t it? Like a shadow that lingers even when the sun is shining. But I won’t let it take root. Not in Michael, and not in me.” His voice grew firmer, though there was still a trace of vulnerability beneath the resolve. “He’s my brother, and no matter how distant he feels, I won’t stop trying to reach him.”

Gabriel looked up again, his eyes searching his Father’s face. “But Father… please don’t feel like You have to bear all this alone. I know You carry so much, and it’s easy to think You have to protect us from it, but we’re here for You too. I’m here for You. Just as You’re always here for me.”

✧-- " I understand the feeling, believe me..." But with Lucifer it had been so sudden. And he missed him, he missed him terribly with each passing day. He was gone for so long and it didn't hurt any less. There was just more to distract him now.

Melancholy, like an choking vine, sprouting in the body and choking out what gives it life. And it was quite easy to get attached to, to fall into. Michael's feelings didn't surprise him at all, but he would tell Gabriel what to do in this situation.

" I don't want to lose anyone else.. I've lost too many of my beloved children. So much so that I have contemplated doing something extreme but, I won't..." It would make his grand daughter sad. " You be there for him and things will be alright, and if you happen to fall into melancholy, we will be here for you, okay? "

ICly, this event takes place in ONE NIGHT, but OOCly, threads can be started during a one week long span starting on DECEMBER 31ST and ending on JANUARY 7TH.

" Well-- that is far from having nothing to give, my dear saint! " He laughs as he pulls back to look at them. " Thank you! I- I can't even remember the last time I had my armor reforged... And entire new set is quite the gift! " Especially considering the sheer amount of holy metal it takes to cover a being of his size...

The archangel himself has a small gilded box that he summons to his hand. " I... got you an armor of a kind, as well. Though something far lighter to carry. " He softly jests. Opening it, its a cross necklace. A symbol they've always shared-- just like their robe, just like his mask, decorated in blue gemstones. " I gave it my blessing, it is a very holy talisman. Carry this piece of my power, so that even when we are apart I am with you. " And so, they both conveyed-- be safe out there, for someone cares about you.

"I know Lucifer fell when I was still quite young compared to the others but he was still the one that made me feel the most accepted."

" Y'know, I do appreciate it, but you'd have to undo centuries of human culture and history in order to make 'the Devil' not be a boogeyman for millions of people across the whole planet. At the same time I like being the Devil so maybe don't do that. "
