Alright I've been taking note of Oscar Wilde references in rqg most are to or about rqg Wilde which make it 10x funnier to me

OK so the last one was actually pulpy fun,  so that means this episode will be high stress right? The soft episodes are like finding a health potion in a game, might be a nice bonus much more likely that you will need it Poor Alex,  he sounds so distressed even as he tries to joke about the sound issues. Tbf Rusty Towers has me spoiled rotten when it comes to sound editing/design Oh that is different It was awesome but NEVER DO IT AGAIN Lydia has a point about the NPCs: only reason Alex is letting us have 2 is so he has a spare Ben/Grizzop regard the deal with Barret as a win-win: either they get useful info or he gets to kill Barret early If I feign ignorance can I avoid learning how to spell the Awesome Engineering Cult's name? Because I had a hard enough time catching all the different ways I spelt Apophis Grizzop time Barret delivers info re: Japan. I really hope that math doesn't come back to bite us. Good, Grizzop thinks the same Wilde would care about the aesthetic of the cuffs saving his life UNSPLIT THE PARTY NOW Harlequin time? Pls Alex we've been ever so good (I miss Zolf) Is Ben altering his Grizzop voice or is the sound problem working in my favor? Because I'm having an easier time than usual getting every word rather than missing some every few sentences. Not that it was a problem especially with context. Singing Lydia is good Alex sounds pleased, what is in there? Love it when Hamid gets leaderific. Good plan is good. Ring tones are nice Hamid tries to explain having to lie to Ed. It goes about like you'd think. I would have tried "its not lying, I'm playing pretend" except you probably go to the special hell for directly lying to someone like Ed. Azu is still big and strong and beautiful, capable of doing a very good hit

Cel is still smart as fuck and knows practical engineering knowledge to built things and bombs still probably work

Zolf. Zolf had nothing going on already he’s just where he usually is

But hamid. Oh hamid. Hamid my little sorcerer lad put all his knowledge points into arcana and his whole ex class was based on doing magic and nothing but magic. He’s just a weak little fop now but the world is so broken that his money and nobility probably means a lot less

Griffin and Clint really talked to each other in-character as parent and child about how Merle is Mavis’ hero not just because he saved the world but because he’s trying so hard. hey fic writers, in case you’re nervous you’re too cliche or not original enough or something, please know a lot of those things readers actively live for. as proof, here are some of infinite examples of things i see in fics all the time that i never ever get tired of

• “uh,” they said, intelligently

• a character realizing they’re in love and immediately thinking “fuck”

• them seeing someone who’s normally well-dressed in comfy/‘unfashionable’ clothes and silently losing it

• stupid poetry about a first kiss. idc if it’s “it feels strangely normal” or “there are fireworks” or “it feels like home/safe” or WHATEVER. go tf for those first kisses babes

• are you writing a fic entirely about friendship? literally you can do no wrong. literally everything you’ve ever done has been correct and i would die for you

• holding hands feeling more intimate than kissing/sex (especially right after the latter happens)

• characters blushing. idgaf if people don’t blush that much irl, i want the bright-tipped ears and the flushes down the neck and the pink-stained cheeks

• “all ___ and ____ and _____”
