❝ And you're sure of it? ❞ She recalls distinctly repeating at least three times when Reese and Marc pass her off a tiny broken head. It's made in ivory and broken in half but the shape of the cat had was undeniable.

When she held it in her palm and took a breath to focus on it, she could feel exactly what it was. She had already known it by seeing it and she had believed the story she had been told.

It was a genuine artifact of the Cat People, which if she had kept track of; the only ones left on Earth were in an African desert and rarely left their corner. This had just been a piece that broke off in a scuffle that Moon Knight had gotten into. The ones who had possessed the artifacts were still out that and they had been wearing more.

They were still alive and had gotten away. The question was if they were Cat People themselves or if they had acquired these items through means that made her hackles raise and her blood boil. It may be possible that they acquired them by chance and there was even a chance that they came from her former personal collection before it was a lost and stolen back during the first superhero registration act.

Greer needed answers and that meant it was time for the hunt. This was something that she was confident she could handle on her own. No help needed. A tiger can handle her own hunts.

Tonight she was on the prowl, trying to look for a way in that didn't involve brute forcing a steel door. Tigra could do it, but she had planned upon this hunt only being about gathering information on who these individuals with artifacts not belonging to them, and stealth. Quiet.

She was good at quiet, but what is this? There's a noise, and she's dropping into shadows, listening and watching. From this distant here, she can tell the figure lurking up about wasn't the same scent as what she had picked up off the amulet.

Looks like they were trying to get into the door as well. Greer hates breaking her own element of surprise but she's trying to avoid a fight tonight. ❝ Hey pal, why don't you scurry on out of here? That door is locked and you're kind of harshing the dark alley vibes here with your noise. ❞

The little stutter in his words sends her teeth on edge. He's so cute when he's thinking. She can't leave him alone about it. She teases, kissing his chest, and looking up at him. She needs him to say it, speak his mind in all its wonderful details.

Kira realizes he may yet need more oxygen, and so gently holds his waist to put enough distance between them for a breeze to ease his poor flushed cheeks. "You can tell me…"

The pizzeria has been abuzz with excitement recently with the addition of a brand-new animatronic. Foxy is still Steven's favorite, as much for the lore of the character as for his unique design, but Bell has to admit that their new wolf is quickly becoming a close second. He may have been giving the new arrival some special treatment, checking up on it more often than is strictly necessary and chatting with it when he's on break or cleaning the stage area. Steven's always had a bad habit of anthropomorphizing the machines, and he's gone full tilt into treating their new star like a guest of honor ever since Freddy's unveiled it.

...which is why it takes him a moment to realize just how odd it is when, in the middle of a very one-sided conversation, Howler pipes up with a phrase that doesn't seem to match any of its scripts.

They had been discussing Mr. Afton. Or rather, Steven had, chattering away about some other updates William has in the works. The wolf's comment is confusing and seemingly out of the blue, and Steven sets down his broom to focus on the machine.

Mid sighs, looking at her tools. Since she has come back to Kanver, she's pressuring herself quite a lot. She really needs the Enterprise to be ready in time for her friends. It's her way to continue Cid's legacy, to play an important part in his mission. She just can't let go of this. She needs to honor her father, just like everyone else.

She raises an eyebrow. "There's not much you can do. But would you bring me these boxes over there ?" she requests, pointing them. "I'm just trying to work quickly and I don't know if that's a good idea."

It's been a bad day. Joshua has managed to spend some time on his own, but he feels so pressured by everyone around him. Will he someday be enough to be the Phoenix ? Or will he always be this weak child ? He doesn't want to be the Phoenix. He knows only too well he doesn't deserve it.

It's then that he feels someone hugging him. It's comforting, actually. So he hugs the other back. "I'm sorry. I don't want people to worry about me," he explains as he lets go of the other.

"You don't have to be sorry. I said I was born of a wolf mother. I never disclosed that I could speak to them. Or to your mind." She felt a bit sheepish confessing that she could. It wasn't a gift she wore proudly. Not like her ability to heal or conjuration.

"It is not my true form but..." She inhaled deeply, closed her eyes and gathered her thoughts. Before his very eyes, a shroud of mist enveloped her form and when it dissipated she was shorter but also larger. Her fur was full and mottled with red, white, grey and black. At a glance, she looked somehwere between a calico cat and a fox. But upon further inspection she made for a regal and strong looking red wolf.

"Better?" She asked, wagging her tail just slightly. Ah, the perils of appearing in a canine shape, your body gives away your excitement.

A SMILE ESCAPED the werewolf.“ Oh? I didn’t expect that, I was expecting more cat from you.” Caspian says. He just shrugged. He didn’t mind cats though. Dogs are nice creatures , and he has that connection with them. Maybe it’s because of his wolf nature? They’re nice little killers. They’re cute though. Caspian leans forward. “ Or are you just saying this because we’re friends.”

Marianne raised a brow. "You expected cat from me? Huh, curious." She's heard this before. "Why? Am I stuck up? Snobbish? Only comes to you for food and - AND - push your things off the table just because I want to? Be honest, Caspian. I don't scratch." She's not angry. Just very curious. Like a cat, you could say.

"Or maybe, I just like dogs." Still, she smiles, shrugging.

The youth was unsure of his present location as nothing here looked familiar to him, that didn't stop him from venturing forth to see who or what dwells here as he remained alert.

"It's kind of a feat that they got it that stuck. Impressive." He whistles, they could just call the fire department but that seemed like a waste.

"Well, I'll hoist you up. Just be careful, I don't know how much trouble we'll get in for climbing this thing." Hence why he was making him climb up. He wasn't about to be mistaken for Iron Fist again.

I have studied history and international politics in college, and plan to focus on medieval times in graduate school when I attend. Relta’s verses on this blog are heavily influenced by actual history and historical figures, so please know I HAVE done my research or asked my Tudor historian friend lol I might twist it and throw in a ton of various influences, but it’s still historically inspired.

I saw BBC’s Robin Hood…18 years ago now…when it first came out and I was a kid, so I’m a bit rusty on it since I can’t find a free way to rewatch it. Thus, I’ll be leaning into headcanons a bit and actual history about King Richard, the Crusades, and Robin Hood lore for the V: Lionhearted verse. I’d be happy to discuss the show AND history/lore with anyone interested in this verse.

I often post worldbuilding and headcanon stuff about Relta in these verses, so don’t be surprised if they outnumber IC posts for a while.

Relta has been an OC of mine since I played make believe with my friends in elementary school, and simply has evolved to who she is now through a passion for creative writing and a gaining of knowledge on character building. She’s still a bit Mary Sue-ish at times, but I work hard to incorporate her flaws and weaknesses as much as I do her strengths and positive traits. She’s not perfect, as no one is.

THREE FACTS

— I used to teach preschool — I’m a published author — My ideas were used for a few episodes of a very popular cult phenomenon show that ran for 15 years...

EXPERIENCE

HOW LONG — Have I been writing? Since 6th grade. My teacher added an extra credit part to our weekly homework packets for me because I was always writing random short stories in class in my free time and she thought it would be fun if we all had a chance to do that. RPing? Since 2006, and it was on a Star Trek forum that no longer exists. It was also fully comprised of OCs only, so it boggled my mind--still does--that when I came to Tumblr that was so frowned upon, because that was all I knew. WHAT PLATFORMS — A couple of forums, one for Start Trek and one that was a world that my sister and I created that took off with our friends and some other people we never met in real life, lol. We also did Twitter RP for a while for FanFic characters, and then I ended up on Tumblr, and very rarely do a I sometimes do Discord RP. BEST EXPERIENCE — I love Tumblr most days, but those forums were hands down the best. We all collaborated on ideas, and we all gushed about each other's OC's, and we genuinely wanted everyone to have a good time. We also got really into editing and manips, which was why when I was involved in said cult phenomenon, I used to make fan videos too by meshing different shows and movies together. I still do that occasionally, but mostly I just work on my own novels, lol. Honestly, probably why Eve has taken off as she has with the group of you that I've surrounded myself with because we all do the same--we collaborate and gush and protect each other.

FEMALE OR MALE — I heavily lean towards female muses. I don't know why that is, because I do have male muses that I have used in the past, and I love writing male characters, but I have never been able to stick with one that I RPed. Because of that, I absolutely RP females constantly. FLUFF , ANGST OR SMUT — I love them all! Angst is my niche though. I've been known for it in every serious writing group I have ever been in, but I still love fluff and I do love smut if I'm in the mood for it. I try not to turn cute threads into angst too, but I know that I'm guilty of that sometimes, haha. PLOTS OR MEMES — ALL OF THE ABOVE LONG OR SHORT REPLIES — I prefer longer replies, but I understand that those can take a toll, and sometimes, I'm more in the mood for a shorter quippy thread, you know? So, it really depends on the mood, and how my partner is feeling. BEST TIME TO WRITE — When I have the muse to. That's such a response, but, it's just true. I have such limited time because of my work schedule, so I'm mostly on in the mornings or on Sundays, but honestly, you can't force writing to happen. You really gotta go with the flow. ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) — I mean...yes and no? I have muses that I have absolutely nothing in common with, but I also feel like, most of us pick muses that we at least see one trait in common with them? Easier to write what you know? Like I write L.ove Q.uinn, but I wouldn't say I am like her. I have a mothering streak like Eve does, and I can be a bit of an arrogant brat like Y.ennefer, but I don't know that I'd ever compare myself to my muses, lol.

The world is spinning around her, much more than she would have expected. Maybe she spent too much time in her workshop without thinking about her own well-being. She's too excited about her inventions. That's her problem sometimes. Since she has started studying in Kanver, she has come to understand she could really be useful thanks to this. That's what she has dreamt of since her childhood. At the second she has gotten out of her workshop, she has felt the need to sit down. On the ground.

"Oh... It's nothing, I'm fine!" she assures, forcing a chuckle before she drinks some of the water the stranger is offering her. As much as she hates to admit it, it's slowly bringing her back to reality. "Thank you."
