GET TO KNOW YOUR WRITING PARTNER! (repost, don’t reblog!)

NAME? Tessa.

PRONOUNS? She/her.

PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION? IM, Discord.

NAME OF MUSES? Udyati’s my main muse, but I can also be found on Lou Ellen Blackstone and Floribeth Dalisay and very occasionally Khione Goossens. 

EXPERIENCE / HOW LONG? So long. I’ve been writing since I was a kid. Started on Tumblr in 2012 and flash forward to 2022 and here I am, still.

BEST EXPERIENCE? Lou Ellen was my first muse and the muse I’ll always come back to. But I think that Rohini Persaud was a good experience. And writing this muse is also a good / best experience. Because I put a lot of myself in this muse, a lot of the cultures that I grew up in. And it’s nice to be able to share that.

RP PET PEEVES? I just think it’s so rude to just up and block a friend/writing partner without even attempting to talk to them if something’s up. I know a lot of people here have anxiety and don’t like confrontation. I know it can be super scary to do so but I really think we ought to just talk to people more if you want to change dynamics or drop a dynamic or whatever. You don’t even have to do it on the fly. You can just write out scripts beforehand and save them somewhere and then use them whenever they need to be used. I know people say that you don’t owe anyone anything and to a certain extent I agree but there is still another person behind the screen and especially if you’ve been cultivating a relationship/friendship with that person, I think that talking to them when something’s up is the least you can do.

MUSE PREFERENCES FOR ANGST / FLUFF / SMUT? Yes to all but I like my angst to be balanced by fluff, with occasional smut sprinkled in. I lean more towards fluffy things and slice of life things because I’m predictable like that. I’m only just dipping my toes in smutlandia - I don’t think I’m very good at it yet but I’m enjoying the process and watching myself get better and better with each thing I write. 

PLOTS OR MEMES? Both. I’m always down for plotting, but I’m also down for memes. And I’m also down for winging it.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES? Once again, both. Mostly they’re short, mid-length but with certain partners, I tend to write longer replies.

BEST TIME TO WRITE? Evening / night. I’m a bit of a night owl, I’m afraid.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE? Quite. Whereas Rohini was an homage to all the people around me with tiny bits and pieces of me sprinkled in, you can definitely see more of me in this muse. And I’m comfortable with that too. I wrote her for my younger self but also for anyone who never saw someone like them. There are bits and pieces of me in Ud’s friend group too. Stick around long enough and you’ll find out which bits and pieces of me there are in them! :P
