I've never listened to a Roy Woods in general, so I was excited to listen to a new (to me) artist. After listening to “Walking At Dawn” it leaves me wanting more. This was Roy’s first album and you can tell. His voice and instrumental go together well and the songs are calm and catchy at certain points. But it feels like there’s a lot more he can do with it. Especially with its shorter length at just a bit past 30 minutes. Trust me, I do not need 2 hours of content, I love short albums, it just feels like I’m missing something. It’s not the most memorable album but I think I’ll have a lot more to say when I listen to his next project. “Walking at Dawn” is a good starting point with Roy, I just hope when I revisit his discography that I’ll leave it a bit more full.

TLDR: pretty singing with decent instrumentals. Leaving me wanting more.
