OC Kiss Week Day 1: Shoulder Kiss

Making up my own prompts for the kind of kisses for the week and having fun with it! Theodore is a workaholic busy guy and often walks around reading letters and missives and such around the house when the day is done... but all it takes is Rowan leaning on his shoulder to get him to stop and take in the warmth. One fact about me is that I only have one OC I’ve created not my own creative writing projects and they’re a nonbinary druid/fox shapeshifter named Rowan who exists in the Hellblazer comics universe. They’re from originally York and meet John Constantine when he’s getting an ear re-pierced (they work at a tattoo/piercing parlor). I could probably put them in an original story of my own but I enjoy the idea of them being in the Hellblazer universe. Also they date John (not in a self-insert way) and it’s kind of cynical magic user 4 cynical magical user but then some drama about human sacrifice gets in the way.

i feel you, i've been in a weird place with shows recently too. i've been playing catch-up for weeks and many of them have started to feel like chores so i've decided to limit my watchlist more this year :/

anyways i absolutely support your kpop activities and i do fear it is inevitable that i one day join you but for now i've managed to fend off the death spiral as you call it at least to that extent ksdjfhkd (although my ateez tag is growing)

17. Share your favorite opening line

You come to gasping for breath and with ribs aching.

This one was from Prey (and a sit-and-wait predator), which I wrote on a whim for 2024 Cal Kestis week. It was so fun to write and low effort which I really enjoyed. I also experimented with my writing in this one a bit more, including having the opening scene be written in second person.

22. What writing programs did you use? Did you write by hand?

I use Microsoft word, primarily due to it being what I've grown up with and the fact that I store all my files on a usb, so I like to be able to access it on any device. I use msword for typesetting as well so I splurged to own a copy instead of having the subscription model (which I hate). In 2024 I did also do some writing in my notes app for when I didn't have my pc and outlining on sticky notes at work when I'm bored.

30. What would you like to write next year?

in 2025 i really just want to write more. Some smaller one-shots would be fun and I'd like to explore some other fandoms through character studies as well. I think one of my main writing goals is to write the first star wars comics fic on cfaarchive and finally write the a fic I've had in my head for ages for a fandom that only has two works on ao3.

I am thinking about my fantasy novel again and the main characters relationship with her mentor. She is small and weak and scared and doesn't know anybody. He was lied to by his government, as all young men are, and paid for it with his body. He is bitter and lonely and on a whim chooses her to be his apprentice.

He tries to teach her the lessons he learned: the world is cruel, people are cruel, there is no changing this. She tells him the lessons she learned from her family, and he wonders what kind of bleeding heart monks she grew up with. She refuses to learn his lessons, even after everything she's gone through. Despite everything, he begins to believe her when she says there is hope and goodness in the world.

He sees potential. He trains her. She grows big and strong and a better warrior than any soldier he's seen before.

And he is taught again that the world and the people in it are cruel. Cruel to him. Cruel to her. He abandons her, preferring seclusion, trying once and for all to teach her the ways of the world. And still she refuses to learn it

Former conscripts from the Last War on the side of the former nation of Cyre, now a blighted wasteland called the Mournland. Rowan was a soldier who lost his leg early in his career and was discharged with a strong helping of survivor's guilt. He met Theodore performing in a local tavern and fell immediately in love. Theo, meanwhile, grew up in a famous but politically offlimits family, lost his father to war and was conscripted as a medic and logistics manager for supplies. When Cyre was destroyed (and his mother along with it) he ran a refugee camp for the displaced Cyrans and later founded a charity for such refugees with Rowan. They had a shotgun wedding after a drunken night and have been separated by dnd adventure for a long time but now they're back together!!! Theo is kind to a fault and became a dad figure in the campaign, he's available for any platonic or familial kisses and some romantic ones :)

Born in Brevoy, but her mother is from a formerly noble family in Galt, a fact she has never let Ophelia forget. She ran away from home when she was 18 with her brother Ferdinand to pursue a life out from under their parents' heels. Persusive and flirty, Ophelia is adventurerous in all aspects of her life and seeks the power to become a real noble like she was supposed to have been born to do. She has a kind streak she can't seem to get rid of though. In the Kingmaker campaign of pathfinder, she manages to become the Queen of a nation and is using her influence to make every person of means fall in love with her for trade agreements. Available for any and all kisses :)

Female, asexual, lesbian

Rapunzel-esc character with a pantheon of gods in her head as her only friends. Technical leader of an entire monastery but her mother was controlling of her since her birth so she doesn't have much experience with leadership. Her brief stint of rebellion cost her a personal guard and first crush, so she has understandable nervousness around affection, believing herself unlovable by duty ('oracles can't love'). Has severe anxiety but makes up for it in nerdy enthusiasm for knowledge and an oaken spine when the occasion calls for it. I call her my Lesbian Plant Daughter. She's adorable and extremely adoptable. Platonic, familial and romantic kisses are welcome :) but go easy on her - the Love Goddess in her head is very demanding and embarrassing.
