How To Enable WiFi Calling

On iPhone:

You can Turn on WiFi calling On iPhone by navigating to:

Settings > Cellular > Toggle On Wi-Fi Calling

You might need to "Update Emergency Address". This address is used by emergency response service like 911 to track your details with the help of your carrier in case you need help.

Notice the screenshot above, there is an option "Add Wi-Fi Calling For Other Devices". If toggled On, this will allow you to use WiFi Calling with other Apple devices.

Your iCloud account acts as a medium between your iPhone & other devices. So to use this option you must have an iCloud account that I am sure every iPhone user has.

On Other Apple Devices:

The other devices that you want to add to your WiFi Calling devices list should have the latest version of the iOS software.

Adding other devices in the calling list helps when you do not have your iPhone near you.

I will assume that you already turned on "Wi-Fi Calling" and "Add Wi-Fi Calling For Other Devices" using the steps mentioned previously.

On your other Apple devices, log into iCloud and FaceTime with the same Apple ID and password that you use on your iPhone device. This is important, failing to do so will not add other devices to the Allow Devices list.

Next step is to enable Wi-Fi Calling:

On your iPad or iPod touch, go to Settings > FaceTime > Calls from iPhone and tap Upgrade to Wi-Fi Calling.

On your Mac, open FaceTime and choose FaceTime > Preferences > Settings and select Calls From iPhone > Upgrade to Wi-Fi Calling.

Please note that Wi-Fi Calling isn't available on Mac Pro (Mid 2012).

You will need to verify your other devices using the 6 digit code that you will get on each device after you follow the above steps. Just enter the 6 digit code on your iPhone when prompted and tap "Allow".

Apple Watch does not need to be enabled for Wi-Fi calling. When the Wi-Fi calling is enabled on other devices and you get the call on your iPhone, your Apple Watch will ring and you can attend or make calls from it.

How To Install a Nitrous Kit on an LT1

There are two kinds of performance enthusiasts: those who resist change and those who embrace it. Which one are you? When Chevrolet first introduced electronic fuel injection to the original small-block, the carburetor guys threw their hands up in disgust, thinking it was the death of performance. Not only was this untrue, but it can be argued that fuel injection ushered in the modern muscle-car era. The same thing happened when GM introduced the LS engine family to replace the legendary small-block, and now the LS market is the biggest thing going in the performance industry. Now, the new LT engine platform, introduced in 2014, represents a further step up the small-block performance ladder. Thanks to refinements like variable-valve timing (VVT) and direct injection, the LT engine family not only offers improvements in power production but combines this with fuel-mileage improvements during this time of ever-tightening restrictions on emissions output.

Unlike the LS, the recent LT engine family is offered in only two displacements: 6.2L and 5.3L. The performance-oriented Corvettes and Camaros receive the larger, more powerful 6.2L LT1, LT4, and even LT5 versions, but the bread-and-butter trucks are available with both displacements. Not surprisingly, the 5.3L is the most common, so we decided to get our hands on one for some dyno testing.

With a designation of L83 by GM, this 5.3L was factory-rated at 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. These peaks jumped to 380 hp and 416 lb-ft when run on E85. The peak numbers are impressive compared with the nearly 300 hp offered by the previous LM7 (LS-based) 5.3L, but it is the average torque production offered by the L83 that is most impressive. Thanks to the combination of high compression (available courtesy of direct injection) and VVT (advancing and retarding the cam), the L83 offers a solid 50 extra lb-ft of torque at lower engine speeds, where it is most effective in truck applications.

To find out if the L83 responded to the usual array of performance modifications, we started with a kit from Nitrous Express (NX). Before we could run that test, we needed to get the direct-injected L83 up on the dyno and running in naturally aspirated trim. The combination of direct injection, VVT, and drive-by-wire throttle-body meant we could not employ our usual aftermarket ECU for tuning. Luckily, the folks at Gandrud Chevrolet came to the rescue with their engine-controller kit for an LT1. Though the ECU is designed for the larger-displacement LT1, Westech’s Eric Rhee not only got the ECU working on the smaller 5.3L but even managed to delete the factory MAF and air-intake assembly. This allowed us to visually confirm full-throttle activation of the drive-by-wire throttle-body, as well as view the nitrous injection into the 5.3L. A few harness extensions here, a relocated MAP sensor there, and a 60-psi fuel source, and we were in business. Equipped with long-tube headers, the factory accessory drive, and an open throttle-body with a radiused air entry, the 5.3L L83 produced 406 hp at 5,400 rpm and 434 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm. Torque production exceeded 400 lb-ft, even below 3,000 rpm!

In retrospect, we should have run the dedicated system from NX designed for the 2014-and-later 5.3L trucks, but all we had on hand in time for testing was a simple wet fogger nozzle—the kind used on a fifth-gen Camaro kit. To get it ready to run, we drilled and tapped the air entry to accept the threaded nozzle, then installed the supplied nitrous jetting to produce the desired 100 hp (52N/23F). For the fuel supply, we tapped into the 60-psi Aeromotive fuel-pressure regulator, while we plumbed the nitrous solenoid directly from the 15-pound NX bottle. When we hit the button, power output jumped to 549 hp and 613 lb-ft of torque. The activation spike subsided to produce a solid gain of 100 hp over the naturally aspirated combination. Note: Be sure to replace the factory projected-tip spark plugs with a colder, non-projected-tip plug if you plan to Xpress yourself on a daily basis!

How well does the direct-injected 5.3L L83 respond to Nitrous Express nitrous? Just like everything else!

Purchased from a wrecking yard, the 2015 L83 came complete with the stock exhaust and factory air intake/MAF assembly.

The L83 was run with the factory serpentine system, including the water pump, alternation, and vacuum pump.

We ran this junkyard 5.3L with a Chevrolet Performance engine controller kit supplied by Gandrud Chevrolet. The kit included a dedicated harness that allowed use of the factory ECU. Using HP Tuners, we were able to reconfigure the LT1 kit to run the smaller 5.3L.

The GM controller kit featured a number of sensors, including this one for the low-pressure fuel supply from the dyno to the high-pressure direct-injection pump.

Rather than run the stock exhaust manifolds, we installed a set of Hooker headers designed for a 6.2L LT1 application. Since they did not fit the dyno, we were forced to reverse them. Oddly enough, the long-tube headers did not offer substantial power gains over the manifolds on this stock 5.3L.

In addition to dialing in the air/fuel ratio, ignition, and cam timing on the L83, the HP Tuners software allowed Westech’s Eric Rhee to eliminate the MAF and air-intake assembly and run the engine in speed-density mode. This allowed us to visually verify that the drive-by-wire throttle-body was actually at wide-open throttle when commanded.

Much like the previous factory LS engines, the LT-based L83 features a long-runner intake manifold designed to promote torque production, especially when combined with variable-valve timing.

Run on the dyno with the headers and radiused air entry feeding the stock throttle-body, the L83 produced 406 hp at 5,400 rpm and 434 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm.

With our baseline out of the way, it was time to add nitrous. We decided the easiest route would be a simple wet fogger system from Nitrous Express (NX). The NX fogger combined the nitrous and fuel together to be injected directly into the front of the intake.

We drilled and tapped the radiused air entry to accept the threaded fogger nozzle.

The NX kit was adjustable using any of the supplied jets. We played it safe and added a simple 100hp shot (52/23) to our L83.

The solenoids supplied by NX were more than up to the task of feeding our little 100hp shot.

After filling the bottle, we dunked it in Westech’s bottle heater to ensure adequate (900-psi) pressure.

The NX bottle came with a high-flow Lightning 500 (0.500-inch-flow orifice) bottle valve and pressure gauge.

To provide fuel to the fuel solenoid, we tapped into the Aeromotive fuel-pressure regulator.

We call this the fun button, as this activated the nitrous from the control room once the motor reached the desired rpm.

Run on the dyno with the NX nitrous kit, the peak power numbers jumped to 549 hp and 613 lb-ft of torque. These were actually just the activation spike numbers, but the NX system settled in with a solid 100hp gain through the entire curve. Just like small-blocks and LS engines, the LT engine family likes nitrous!

5.3L L83-Stock vs. NX Nitrous (100 HP)

The fancy, new 2015 LT-based 5.3L L83 test engine features direct injection and variable-valve timing. Having run endless testing on the previous LS engine family, we couldn’t help but wonder if the new engines responded just as well to a shot of nitrous. Spoiler alert: The answer was an emphatic yes. Run with headers, a radiused air entry, and tuning by Westech’s Eric Rhee, the used L83 5.3L truck engine produced 406 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque. After introduction of the Nitrous Express (NX) wet fogger kit, with 100hp jetting, the power output jumped as high as 549 hp and 613 lb-ft of torque. Once the activation spike subsided, the NX nitrous kit offered consistent 100hp gains through the remainder of the curve.

A significant uplift in GST revenues from the Commonwealth will help the Government deliver on key election promises, with more than $600 million in tax cuts including the Emergency Services Levy (ESL), payroll and land taxes. "We've inherited a financial mess, but we're not going to use that as an excuse to break our promises," Mr Lucas said. Mr Lucas is forecasting surpluses across the next four years, with overall state debt set to increase beyond Labor's forecasts to almost $17 billion in 2021-22. The Government has also foreshadowed potential privatisations as it seeks to deliver on its election promises, including placing the Adelaide Remand Centre in the hands of a private operator. Mr Lucas also warned he would seek to outsource the work of SA Pathology and state-funded medical imaging services if the Government was not able to rein in costs. A host of the former Labor government's programs will be abolished including the Economic Development Board, Independent Gambling Authority and Commissioner for Kangaroo Island. The Government is promising $613 million worth of tax cuts including reductions to payroll and land tax, in line with election promises. "This budget will reduce the cost of living by cutting waste and taxes and charges rather than relying on trying to introduce a new tax every budget such as a bank tax," Mr Lucas said. But Opposition Leader Peter Malinauskas said the Liberals' first budget has "no vision". "There is no central uplifting theme," he said. "One of the mechanisms for the minister to meet that is to actually [close] sites that are low utilisation sites." The Treasurer said those sites might eventually be leased out or sold. Last year, Mr Lucas's predecessor Tom Koutsantonis described his final budget as "very sexy it's got a red dress on and walking down the street". Mr Lucas today likened his latest budget to someone in a "business suit and sensible shoes". The Government will set aside $170 million this financial year for targeted redundancies as part of a plan to reduce the number of full-time equivalent public service positions by 2,286 over the next four years. "Some of those people will retire," Mr Lucas said. "The taxpayers of South Australia can only pay so much difficult decisions sometimes have to be taken." Average ESL bill to drop by $145 The budget pours $800 million into health and hospitals, as well as $169 million for 270 new high-security prison beds at Yatala and 40 new beds at the Adelaide Women's Prison. While the cost of public transport fares will be reduced, so will the number of services, with the Government targeting underutilised public bus routes. It has also committed $11.9 million over four years on measures designed to combat domestic violence.

Cincinnati prospect Nick Senzel has been a machine in recent weeks at Triple-A Louisville, batting .387/.434/.613 so far in June with three homers and three steals. He’s hit safely in 11 consecutive games and reached base in 20 straight. Earlier this month, he put together a seven-game streak of multi-hit games. His season slash is now .310/.378/.509 and he’s delivered 20 extra-base hits with eight stolen bases.

So yeah, Senzel can hit a little. He’s probably ready for a new challenge. He homered twice from the lead-off spot on Thursday, just to emphasize the point.

Senzel has seen time at second, short and third this season, so he’ll offer positional flexibility when he arrives in the majors. Of course the Reds aren’t exactly hurting at his primary positions, second and third, where Scooter Gennett and Eugenio Suarez are firmly entrenched. It’s an issue. Senzel hasn’t played a ton of shortstop to this point — just one full game in the minors and 39 innings in spring. But that spot might represent his clearest route to the big leagues.

In any case, Senzel remains the top prospect in Cincinnati’s system and one of the most productive, consistent hitters in the high minors. His swing will play in any league. He’s available in 88 percent of the Yahoo universe at the moment and worth a stash in any format. He’s a near-lock to hit for average when he gets the call, plus he offers useful power/speed potential by middle-infield standards.

I have a question about car insurance. I was recently shopping around for quotes for car insurance. I had gotten an email about Washington Mutual Car Insurance, so I decided to get a quote. I was astounded when they quoted me with $2500 every 6 months or $5,000 a year. I was just completely blown away. My car, a 2004 Nissan Sentra, is barely even worth that much. I called them up and asked why they were quoting me that rate and they said it was because of my age and credit score. I am only 23 and I have really bad credit, but there is NO OTHER insurance company that quoted me a rate anything near as high as that. Progressive quoted me $600 every 6 months or $1200 a year. Geico $613 every 6 months or $1200 a year. Allstate was $1,200 every 6 months or $2,400 a year. And State Farm was $800 every 6 months, $1600 a year. These quotes were all for identical insurance policies. I have never been in an accident, never been arrested, never been given a ticket for ANYTHING. Does age and credit score make that much of a difference? That is insane, no one in their right mind would pay the full value of their car every year in insurance fees. What do you think?""

In my state we are forced to have car insurance or we will be fined. I know that having the government intervene more in our health insurance seems like more of a step in a socialism direction but were we already going that direction anyway with car insurance AND we did already have medicare and medicaid. He said for the past 6 months, each time he went in to make a payment, the girl HIS was already paid. Realizing what had happened. They were applying my payments to his automobile. I was furious. I notified the agent who initially did not want to accept blame, but since the payments were automatic and my account number was on each payment they took, they were responsible. The error was compounded by the fact that the cancellation notice went to HIS address (how dumb was that!) So I had no way of knowing that I was cancelled. I was without a car for 2 weeks and lost my job. After much haggling and many sleepless nights of wondering what to do without a job or a car, the insurance company finally admitted blame, paid the impound fees of $1,250.00. The agent also said they would handle the 2 tickets totaling 1K. FAST FORWARD TO 2010 in my state, the county did a scofflaw sweep and I was summoned to court with over 5 thousand other delinquent drivers to address unpaid tickets. The order was come to court by April 30th or be arrested. Realizing this had to be a mistake, but fearful of the law, I stood in line for over 5 hours in blazing heat, then sat in court another 5 hours waiting for my day in court. I was immediately threatened with arrest because the 2 tickets were not paid. Up to that moment, I had no idea the insurance company had not paid the 2 tickets. This time, not only was my insurance and registration cancelled, my license was suspended due to the age of the infraction (5 years). In front of the judge, I called the agents' office only to be told by the secretary that they had no intention to pay the ticket. Paying to get the car out of impound was enough. When the judge heard this she was shocked and let me off with a promise to pay in 5 days. She made me promise not to drive. With no way to get home but drive, I took a chance, and was pulled over. The officer informed me that due to the vast number of outstanding cases, tags bearing our county name would be targeted for a while (talk about a police state!). I showed him my documents from the court and headed home. This is a nightmare. Would I have a case if I filed suit against my insurance company for failing in their fiduciary responsibility to a 16 year client in good standing? By the way this company is one of the largest in the country.""

MVP Nick Foles threw for three touchdowns and caught another as the Eagles defeated the Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis on Sunday night to win the franchise’s first NFL championship since 1960.

President Donald Trump tweeted his congratulations soon after the game ended.

Patriots QB Tom Brady was undeniably brilliant, throwing for 505 yards — a Super Bowl record — and three touchdowns, but was strip-sacked by Brandon Graham with 2:09 to play.

The Patriots scored touchdowns on their first three second-half drives, rallying from a 29-19 deficit to take a 33-32 lead with 9:22 to play. But Foles led the Eagles on a 14-play, 75-yard drive capped by an 11-yard touchdown pass to Zach Ertz with 2:21 to play for the winning score.

Two plays later, Graham made one of the few standout defensive plays in a game dominated by offense.

Jake Elliott provided the final margin with a 46-yard field goal with 1:06 to play. Philadelphia pinned New England back on its own nine-yard line on the ensuing kickoff and Brady could move the Patriots only 40 of the required 91 yards as a final Hail Mary pass fell short.

The Eagles ran their run-pass option offense to perfection, racking up 538 yards on a Patriots defense that only forced them to punt once. New England recorded 613 yards of total offense and did not punt at all, but missed a field goal and an extra point and turned the ball over on downs in Philadelphia territory before Brady’s ill-timed fumble.

The Patriots defense appeared bamboozled by the Eagles run-pass option offense, never more so than on the final possession of the first half.

Having cut the Eagles’ lead to 15-12, New England forced Philadelphia into a third-and-three at their own 37-yard line and had the chance to give Brady the ball and an opportunity to tie the game or take the lead going into halftime.

But Foles had other ideas. He hit Corey Clement on a wheel route out of the backfield for 55 yards to put the ball at the Patriots 8-yard line. After moving the ball seven yards in three plays, head coach Doug Pederson went for the touchdown on fourth down. Clement handed the ball off to tight end Trey Burton, who flipped it to a wide-open Foles for the touchdown that made the score 22-12 Philadelphia.

The trick play was a mirror image of one New England did not execute earlier in the first half on what may have been their most costly possession. After forcing an Eagles punt and trailing 9-3 in the first quarter, Brady hit Brandin Cooks for 23 yards, but Cooks was blindsided by a legal Malcolm Jenkins hit and had to leave the game with a head injury.

The Patriots eschewed having Stephen Gostkowski attempt a 52-yard field goal and went for it on fourth down. Brady’s deep pass to Gronkowski fell incomplete along the left sideline and the Eagles took over.

Six plays later, Blount drove 22 yards to make the score 15-3 as Foles’ attempted two-point conversion pass to Jeffery fell incomplete.

Foles and the Eagles set the tone in the first quarter, scoring on each of their first two possessions. Off the opening kickoff, Foles lead the Eagles to the New England 2-yard line, but a false start penalty blunted their momentum and Philadelphia had to settle for a Jake Elliott field goal. Philadelphia was more successful on their second possession as Foles followed up a 36-yard LeGarrette Blount burst by hitting Alshon Jeffery with a 34-yard strike in the back of the end zone.

The Patriots could only look back with regret on their missed chances to add to their total. On their second possession, they passed up going for it on fourth-and-one to have Gostkowski attempt a 26-yard field goal. Punter Ryan Allen mishandled the snap from Joe Cardona, throwing off Gostkowski’s timing, and the attempt hit the left upright.

As could be expected, the Patriots appeared to shake off the blow of losing Cooks, scoring 10 points on their next two possessions. A 46-yard screen to Rex Burkhead set up a 45-yard Gostkowski field goal to pull New England within 15-6. Then, after Foles forced a deep throw to Jeffery that was intercepted by Duron Harmon, Brady engineered the Patriots’ best drive of the half.

Helped by a third-down holding call against Jalen Mills on Chris Hogan, New England went 90 yards in seven plays. After Brady hit Hogan with a 43-yard completion, James White – along with Brady, the hero of last year’s epic Super Bowl comeback against Atlanta – scampered 26 yards. Gostkowski’s rough night continued when he pulled the extra point to the left.
