#that was: fighting the urge to boom the premium economy fare for my flight to London lmao#*book#me last night: it’s only [redacted] more!#me today: self that is an insane amount of money to spend for a 6 hour flight#I am a little butthurt that my economy ticket for London round trip is what I paid for premium economy round trip to Paris :(#i maaaaaaay splurge to book an exit row seat though

i'm going to nyc !! >:)
#IN FEBRUARY .......... 2 full months away. but still#bucketlist item + got round trip flights for $275 and found a nice hostel for $250#for 5 nights!#i figure it'll give me something to look forward to#will hit the MoMA for sure. and eat some good food#pegasus speaks#making purchases makes me scared but like#what's the point of working 60h/week if i don't do anything with my money from time to time

#to say at least it would suck me dry#cause as much as i'd like to go for brisbane for moots sighting the flight rate for that location is downright insane for rates >:((#while the other airlines has decent rate but only flies to melbourne unfortunately :((#but seriously though the former can suck my invisible dick cause what the fuck 900+ dollars for an all round trip? bruh#...then again might be over reacting about the price since i don't travel outside country- only like 3 but with my mom years ago#still an outrageous cost for the former airlines with that unless im dumb and that's somewhat normal for the airlines' rates#and that's not even covering the tickets and hotel expenses too if ever >:00#this is why i say i'll sell my kidney about it

Got accepted into summer school so now I have a few days to decide if I actually still want this
#like#i will never get a chance like this again but it is also expensive but above all#travelling to japan on my own is scary as fuck#once the program starts and you know a few people it should be fine but the journey and first few days are gonna be hell#it's the language/culture barrier and my complete inexperience with long flights#or just airplane travel in general#i have only done 2 round trips with flights#and that was netherlands to rome with experienced supervisors

#corntent#im in an annoying state of having a lot of money#(or what feels like a lot of money)#but also knowing if im not careful itll disappear real quick#eh idk why im dancing around the number i dont think talking about money is 'rude'#i have around 800 bucks in my spendings account rn#and i need to book a almost $200 flight to brisbane v soon#because at UQ theres a biology summer school course#and the head of biology there invited me to go to it for free#so hes gonna waive the $275 course fee for me which is SICK#but i have to get up there#i can stay with my aunt for free lodging thankfully#but i do need to spend $182 dollars on a round trip up and back#and since ill be up there for 5 days#thats also taking away a lot of time for me to actually. have shifts.#so my moneys not gonna be looking too good soon

#OH BOY#so i finally called grandma and told her i lost my job#i have been putting this off bc of the shame and once you tell one member of my italian side the entIRE FAMILY knows#But she managed to hit me back with even worse news#A family member has bone cancer and it sounds bad#Like my grandma callyerdogs off started refusing food at the very end of the cancer#And it sounds like he's starting to do that#Everybody is spending entire days in the hospital it sounds very much like with what was happening with grandpa#i dont want to go into details#Anyway on top of this my childhood bff is getting married in atlanta at the end of august#So i was going to visit grandma at the same time#And now she's being like no no no theres no need to come and im like GRANDMA PLEASE lol ;_;#And by lol i mean just for once could my family not be so fucking stubbornly self reliant im crying and begging over here#The tentative plan is to fly to pittsburgh after atlanta instead and stay with my dance buddy#and then i can be like look grandma im already here its a four hour drive i will see you in four hours#and stay for as long as they let me and then fly back from the burgh#But needless to say this is all a mess and i need to make actual plans SOON#:(#Im looking up flights the cheapest way would be to book a round trip ticket LA to atlanta and then a round trip atlanta to the burgh#Is this a bad idea? Does anyone else have experience doing this? Like for an extra 500$ i could do a three city ticket but that seems silly#I guess the problem would be if a flight got canceled or delayed but if i get travelers insurance for the flights#thats probably still less than the 500+ extra it would cost to do a three city trip#The other option is driving from georgia to the burgh which ive done once when going to florida with chezzy and family#So i know its a 13ish? Hour drive but i also know i can do it lol#I think the gas + car rental would cost more than the flight tbh#But i also love road trips

i would totally just make a 2-3 day trip to gwangju just for my hanbok dude the only thing stopping me is the 14+ hr flight
#flying directly to gwangju is like 1.6-2k round trip#flying to incheon is 1-1.8k???? and icn is a better airport aaaaa but getting to gwangju from seoul is like#3-4 hrs on multiple trains help#idk if i can navigate that aaa#not even the plane ticket stopping me its the flight time i am srsly gonna die#.txt#gwangju trip WHEN!!!!!

Every time I get excited about my eras concert, I think “but you haven’t booked your $700 flight yet” and then I think “I should do that” but then I think “but you don’t know where you will be living come July” and then I think “I should probably figure that out” and then I think about it and am bombarded by Options, none of which is Desirable in Any Degree, and honestly, I think the whole thing would be better if these damn flights weren’t $700.
