Secret Santa 2020 - Request #16
@rotgsecretsanta
For request #16: Something with Jack and Pitch!
This request is very vague so I really have no idea if I did it right. Though, this request has not been filled yet so I take it up. I hope you like it. If I did it wrong, I apologize.
Disclaimer: Rise of the Guardians belongs to Dreamworks and Call It What You Want belongs to Taylor Swift. I do not own them.
------
Call It What You Want
It had been months since Pitch’s defeat. Pitch was devastated that he had lost everything… again. He was once all powerful in the Dark Ages until the Man in the Moon thought that he was no longer useful and replaced him with the Guardians.
Since then, nobody believed in him anymore. Humans just wrote him off as a bad dream. Even other spirits stayed away from him because he was the Boogeyman and the Nightmare King. He felt lonely and rejected.
His heart was empty, and that feeling was unbearable. He wanted to feel whole again. He thought that if he destroyed the Guardians, all the children would believe in him, and he would never feel lonely again. After all, he was the Boogeyman – he scared children and that was his job.
He had planned it for hundreds of years. He had perfected his ability in turning sweet dreams into an army of Nightmares. He knew every of the Guardian’s antics. He was ready to strike them before Easter.
He almost succeeded destroying the Guardians. However, the boy named Jamie Bennett refused to stop believing in the Guardians. Jack Frost was able to reach him first and strengthened the boy’s faith. The winter spirit had sided with the Guardians.
Pitch had underestimated the belief of children. He always thought that children would never have the courage to fight him back. This time, they were not afraid of him, and they turned the tide of belief battle.
Once again, he lost to the Guardians. His Nightmares turned against him. He was all alone and powerless once more. He thought it was all over for him.
My castle crumbled overnight I brought a knife to a gunfight They took the crown, but it's alright
To Pitch’s surprise, Jack came to see him. The winter spirit revealed that he had been trying to find him. Jack did not want Pitch to be alone forever. He knew that feeling all too well.
Pitch thought Jack was pranking him, but Jack was sincere this time. Jack wanted to make Pitch feel better. He did not care how the Guardians would think – he was willing to break the rules for Pitch.
All the liars are calling me one Nobody's heard from me for months I'm doin' better than I ever was 'Cause
My baby's fit like a daydream Walking with his head down I'm the one he's walking to
Pitch pulled out a small smile. Even though he was still hurt that Jack rejected his offer in Antarctica, he was willing to give Jack a second chance.
So call it what you want, yeah Call it what you want to My baby's fly like a jet stream High above the whole scene Loves me like I'm brand new So call it what you want, yeah Call it what you want to
Jack began to spend some time with Pitch. He encouraged him to interact with kids. At first, Pitch did not like the idea because he was certain that the kids would not like him. However, Jack assured him that they would accept him because fear was part of human nature and it was important. His words made Pitch feel that he was important and valued.
Pitch took up Jack’s advice and carried out. It was a difficult start, but Jack kept supporting him. Soon, Pitch began to gain a steady number of believers. Children began to respect and appreciate him.
All my flowers grew back as thorns Windows boarded up after the storm He built a fire just to keep me warm
The Guardians was quick to catch Pitch gaining strength and believers. They fought him. They were unwilling to let Pitch gain power in fear that he would tip the balance. Pitch hated them for always seeing him as a threat and ignoring his importance to humankind. Though, his hatred towards the Guardians faded away when Jack jumped in to protect him.
All the drama queens taking swings All the jokers dressing up as kings They fade to nothing when I look at him
Jack admitted that he was helping Pitch to gain believers. The Guardians were shocked and displeased to hear that. They thought that Pitch was manipulating Jack. Jack denied and tried to convince them that Pitch needed his help.
The Guardians knew that they could not change Jack’s mind, so they begrudgingly accepted his decision. Jack knew that he messed up again as if he never learned his lessons. This time, however, he was certain that his actions were right.
And I know I make the same mistakes every time Bridges burn, I never learn At least I did one thing right I did one thing right
Jack and Pitch knew that they could trust each other. They comforted and supported one another. They even shared jokes and laughed about it. Pitch felt happier than ever, and he found himself staring into Jack’s blue eyes. His eyes could light up his darkest night. Jack had the same thought about Pitch’s eyes as well.
I'm laughing with my lover, makin' forts under covers Trust him like a brother Yeah, you know I did one thing right Starry eyes sparkin' up my darkest night
That was when realization hit them. It was obvious – they loved each other.
My baby's fit like a daydream Walking with his head down I'm the one he's walking to So call it what you want, yeah Call it what you want to My baby's fly like a jet stream High above the whole scene Loves me like I'm brand new (Call it what you want, call it what you want, call it) So call it what you want, yeah Call it what you want to
Jack wanted his relationship with the Nightmare King to be a secret. If the Guardians knew about it, they would forbid it strongly. They would argue that Pitch was trying to take Jack away as if he owned the winter spirit. Jack did not believe in that – he knew Pitch better than the Guardians did. Besides, Pitch also knew Jack better than the Guardians did.
Jack expressed his concerns about their relationship to Pitch. Pitch understood and assured that he would be fine. He asked Jack whether he would run away with him so they could live together and start a new life. Jack was surprised by his question, but he said yes.
I want to wear his initial on a chain 'round my neck Chain 'round my neck Not because he owns me But 'cause he really knows me Which is more than they can say, I I recall late November Holding my breath, slowly, I said "You don't need to save me But would you run away with me?" Yes (Would you run away?)
Jack moved in with Pitch. His home was now Pitch’s lair, but he was able to visit Jamie and his friends in Burgess anytime. Now that they were together, they were happier, calmer and more contented.
My baby's fit like a daydream Walking with his head down I'm the one he's walking to (Call it what you want, call it what you want, call it) So call it what you want, yeah Call it what you want to My baby's fly like a jet stream High above the whole scene Loves me like I'm brand new (Call it what you want, call it what you want, call it) So call it what you want, yeah Call it what you want to
They no longer care what the Guardians said about them. What mattered most was that they finally had each other.
(Call it what you want, call it) (Call it what you want, call it what you want, call it) (Call it what you want, call it what you want, call it) (Call it what you want, call it what you want, call it) (Call it what you want, call it what you want, call it) (Call it what you want, call it what you want, call it) (Call it what you want, call it what you want, call it) Call it what you want, yeah Call it what you want... to
And that was enough for them to be happy about.

[ROTG] Knights And Pages
Fanfiction for the @rotgsecretsanta Stocking Stuffer 2020 event.
This story is for the requester of prompt#44:
“...Gen, no pairings, the main Guardians and Pitch book or film characters, any kind of AU (pirates, cowboys, royalty etc), fancy costumes etc (No gender swap/crossdressing)”
I hope a bookstore AU is something you will enjoy. I tried to include everyone I could think of from both the books and the movie.
Happy merry everything!
------------------------------------------
DECEMBER 13TH: THE INFORMATION DESK
Manny beamed as he looked out from his station first thing in the morning, his gaze covering the sales floor of Knights And Pages from one end to the other.  Twelve days until Christmas, and, childlike, he was not yet sick of the holiday music piped over the sound system.
He held Petrov, the grey tabby store cat, on his lap as he perched on his stool, and crooned a nursery rhyme into one pointed ear, jigging the cat up and down in time with a beat only he could hear.
Horsey horsey don't you stop / Just let your feet go clippety-clop / Your tail goes swish and the wheels go round / Giddy up, we're homeward bound.
Petrov had been born in a stable and had spent his entire kittenhood around horses; he moved in a most uncatlike fashion. His heavy “trotting” tread could be heard yards away on the bookstore’s old floorboards. Nevertheless, he was an excellent mouser..
The cat soon tired of being held, and wriggled out of Manny’s grasp.  He had his indoor fiefdom to explore, after all.
The first customers of the day were making their way to the cashwrap, and he was soon busy answering phones, writing up special orders, and putting books and gifts aside for layaway.
DECEMBER 14TH: THE RECEIVING DEPARTMENT
The building that housed Knights And Pages had once been a loom works, and it showed. The basement below the bookstore’s main floor was dotted here and there with huge spools and odd bits of repurposed machinery that served as cubicle dividers for North and his crew: Phil, Henrietta, and Dingle.  The two conveyor belts bisected the area even further, but somehow the underground space still felt open and welcoming.  Perhaps it was the constant hum of activity; perhaps it was the fact that the cheesy Muzak did not reach down here, and North instead got to play CDs featuring his beloved Russian composers at top volume.
Multiple times a day, the “down” conveyor belt would be in use, taking in deliveries from the building’s garage at street level… UPS, Fedex, DHL, etc. Books from publishers and wholesalers, other items from varying vendors.  Each delivery’s contents would be tallied off by the four workers, matching invoices on their computers, and having labels with titles, SKUs, and prices made for them. Then the contents would be sorted and reboxed with their destinations marked on them, namely the specific department head for whom they were meant. It would never do to send Tooth’s amethyst geodes to Sandy’s bakery, for example, nor would it be wise to send the shipment of autographed copies of Bracken MacLeod’s latest horror novel that Pitch had ordered to Nightlight, who supervised the Poetry and Drama division.
At 4pm each day, the “up” conveyor belt came into play, sending the sorted parcels to the sales floor.  Someone from each department would be there to wheel away the items to their section of the store, and to have their understaff get fresh stock onto the shelves.  The “special orders” came up last, to go straight to the Information Desk and have customer phone calls made.
With only eleven days until Christmas, the incoming deliveries were arriving at a  fast and furious pace, and there was little time to rest between sorts.  Dingle tried to make everyone laugh by sticking out his ridiculously long tongue and pretending to lick each package before it went onto the “up” belt.  He was only stopped with the growled promise from Henrietta that she would dunk him upside down in the local river and hold his head underwater until Easter. She could do it, too, being just as beefily built as her brother Phil.
Finally 4pm arrived and North bellowed cheerily into the intercom, as he did each day, “Time to put wonder into the world!” Those whose turn it was to unload gathered near the chute opening and got ready to pull boxes off the conveyor belt.  Today it was Pippa, Fog, Cupcake, Caleb, Amin, Sascha, Will, Petter, Monty, and Doris.
Petrov watched from his perch of office supply cartons stacked near the backroom where the admin staff worked, the black tip of his tail twitching.
DECEMBER 15TH: THE GIFT SHOPPE
Tooth was thoroughly impressed when she arrived at her kiosk that morning.  Pippa Chandler and Tooth’s younger daughter Baethiana had set up the booth beautifully.  The new blown-glass teardrop suncatchers were hung at staggered levels off a bar suspended from one of the mill’s overhanging pulleys; they glittered in the winter sheen from the skylight above.  The new shipment of greeting cards had all been slotted neatly into their proper fixtures, as tidily as if she’d been there to supervise.
She hadn’t wanted to take a “sick” day yesterday; it was an unwritten rule in the company that no one got time off between Thanksgiving and New Year’s.  But Tooth’s older daughter Vanish, returned home for the college holidays, had brought along a boyfriend from what Tooth privately termed “the European division”, and she felt she needed to give the matter her personal attention.  Abelard seemed a harmless, mousy fellow, but Vanish had confided in her that he could sometimes display a fiery temper. The couple had weathered some external personal storms together, however, and after Tooth had given Abelard the shovel talk last night, Tooth felt assured that he and Vanish had a future.
Now she smiled as she set up for the day.  She heard a familiar thump-step behind her and reached down to skritch Petrov under his chin. He yawped up at her and showed her his canines, incisors, and premolars, all pearly white after his last vet visit. His deep rumbling purr gave Tooth a warm feeling that lasted throughout the morning and afternoon, despite the hustle and bustle of sales.
DECEMBER 16TH: THE SPECULATIVE FICTION ZONE
Pitch paced the floor between the shelves that demarcated the Horror section and the Urban Fantasy section, stopping, turning and retracing his steps in the direction from whence he came once he hit the bend of shelves labelled Paranormal and Time Travel Romance.  That separated his department from Katherine’s, the other boundary being the Graphic Novels aisle that was part of Jack’s domain.  He made a turn to walk through Mystery, another through Science Fiction, and one more to stand behind Fog in the Swords & Sorcery section.
The boy was deep in concentration, trying to find room to shelve the newest Brandon Sanderson tome. He jumped when Pitch’s shadow fell over him.
Hands clasped behind a rigidly straight back, tight-fitting blazer worn over a black silk shirt buttoned up to the neck and paired with black slacks whose sharp creases screamed of personal tailoring, Pitch knew he appeared intimidating and unapproachable to the younger booksellers, cashiers and interns. But he knew how to show appreciation for diligence, and he made a point now to compliment Fog on his tidiness and his skills in building attractive book displays.
Pitch had never forgotten all the years where he'd toiled unseen and unvalued until this job had fallen into his lap. He had his daughter Seraphina to thank for that.
Sage, his assistant department head, arrived for her shift,  grumbling about humanity in general and bad winter drivers in particular.  She pulled her heavy braid out of the bun which had gotten messed by her hood,, recoiled it,, and pinned it back in place.  Pitch greeted her with one of his rare smiles; they understood one another well, two seemingly curmudgeonly people who could surprise listeners with delight when they opened up about their pet fascinations and interests.
He walked back to his nook where his laptop was set up and sat down to write his weekly blog, as all the department heads were required to do. Today's book review was for a small press anthology called A KRAMPUS CAROL. He was tempted to don the Krampus horns headpiece that Sage had given him last year, but refrained. Time enough for that later in the month.
Pitch's concentration was broken by the arrival of Petrov underfoot, batting one of those dratted plush snowballs that decorated the Kids and Teens Zone, on the other side of the wall next to his hideyhole. He looked down his long nose at the unrepentant cat and intoned, "You dare to have fun in my presence?" Said unrepentant cat looked back at him and blinked slowly.
Admitting defeat, Pitch leaned down, scooped up the snowball toy, and threw it down the aisle for the grey tabby to chase.
DECEMBER 17TH: THE KIDS AND TEENS ZONE
Jack still had no idea how he had been chosen to become a department head, of all things.  He was much more interested in chilling out and pursuing fun times, whereas his two department coworkers, Cynara and Eleanor, seemed to be much more attuned to hard work and deadlines.  They both were former elementary school teachers and knew more about picture books and early readers than he would ever know.  His own reading tastes tended to lean more towards material for the upper grades and the high school crowd.
But the three managed to complement each other in their knowledge bases, and they genuinely enjoyed working with each other. Tall, thin Eleanor never missed the opportunity to sling a pun in casual conversation, and pixyish Cynara had a wicked sense of humour that the kids who came to their storytelling events adored. [The kids also adored when Cynara would take off her wig and twirl it on her finger, not ashamed in the least of her bald post-radiation head.]
Jack had a new intern this holiday season, who introduced themselves as “Cupcake”.  They were tall for their age, sturdily built, and dressed in a mix of denim and lace.  Their jacket was bedazzled on the back with their credo, “Battle Ballerina”. They didn’t say much, but they were always helpful, and many of the other understaff throughout the store had learned to appreciate them, after a period of being intimidated by their height and  their seemingly perpetual glower… until they smiled.  Then they almost… well, Jack thought to himself, GLOWED.
That was enough introspection for the day. People would start thinking he’d grown up and turned all serious. Time was a’wasting, and snowballs wouldn’t throw themselves.
As if on cue, Petrov strutted into view, and Jack could swear the cat winked at him.
Who to prank today?
DECEMBER 18TH: THE BAKERY / COFFEE COUNTER
Neither Caleb nor Claude could stop yawning this morning.  Their mother Honoria had dropped them off at Sandy’s at the crack of dawn to pick up the daily batch of pastries and croissants that Sandy had made in his own kitchen. Then the three drove in to stock the little enclosed kiosk at the bookstore that served as a small cafe. The only benefit that the twins could see to having their day start so heinously early was that they got to go home that much earlier than everyone else.
Sandy turned on the glimmering curtain lights behind the counter, which cast a golden glow over the space. It seemed like a bright island compared to the rest of the darkened bookstore,  something out of a children's story about Dreamland.
Claude said to Caleb,  "You want to do urns or utensils today?" The question was mostly a formality… Claude knew his brother was much better at making coffee than he was.  But they split the cafe work evenly between them, as they'd done with other things  all their lives. Caleb grinned back at him, "I'll make it so you can drink it."
"Cool."
His hands moving slowly but efficiently to craft a delicious display of wrapped baked goods,  Sandy was in his quiet happy place. These few hours before Knights And Pages opened to the public made him feel like the master of his domain.  He could weave himself half a dozen dreams in silence and serenity before having to deal with the noise and bustle of commerce.
Although he often found himself the listener to other people’s dreams, as well, during the course of the day.  Being small, round, and genial seemed to draw people to him like frozen travellers seeking a hearth to rest by.
Sometimes, that was almost enough to drown the call of a long-ago, distant life.
Movement caught Sandy’s eye. A small grey shadow separated itself from the other shadows outside the glass door of the cafe.  Sandy smiled; Petrov had arrived for his vanilla frosting fix… not to eat, merely to sniff.  He’d never known a cat with such self-control.
Perhaps today would be a good day, after all.
DECEMBER 19TH: THE ART DEPARTMENT
“No, no, no!  Gauguin does NOT go next to Miro! Were you raised in a barn?”
“Bunny, why are you yelling at the cat?”
“Because you’re late, and Amin’s not in until 4pm, and I have fourteen cartons from Taschen to put away, that’s why.  I’m dealin’ in perishables, here.”
“Sorr-eeeee!!!  If you hadn’t noticed, it’s sleeting to beat the band out there.  Jamie nearly skidded off the bridge driving us in ---”
The tall Australian interrupted, his mood changing instantly from annoyed to concerned as he looked Sophie over. “Are you OK? Y’coulda called out, ya know, if it was that bad.”
The blonde scoffed and pushed her wet messy bangs out of her eyes.  “Call out during the Christmas rush?  I’d never hear the end of it. ‘Oh, teenagers these days, they don’t know how to cope with anything, one little snowflake and they panic’, that sort of thing.”
Bunny had to laugh, she’d scored a perfect imitation of some of the grouchier customers they’d had to deal with over time. Sophie had been volunteering at Knights And Pages since she was ten; Bunny had met her by literally falling over her as she sat in the middle of an aisle, poring over drawing books.  She was fifteen now, and looking forward to being able to actually call herself an employee.
Petrov, bored now that he was no longer being engaged in scintillating conversation about Post-Impressionists and Surrealists, lashed his tail back and forth and wandered off in high dudgeon.
DECEMBER 20TH: THE SCIENCE DIVISION
She had won the war, even if she’d had to give ground [or, more precisely, had to seem to give ground] in several battles.  But Seraphina’s department was better-stocked than it had been in years, with everything from Sascha’s picks for materials science, recommendations from Taras for both the bestsellers and forgotten classics of astronomy and physics, and her own zoology and meteorology selections.
Seraphina had sneakily allowed Jack to think he’d overruled her by cross-shelving Ruth Spiro’s “Baby Loves Science” children’s books alongside her beloved Kaku, Feynman, Penrose, McPhee, Muir and Carson titles.  She personally thought it a brilliant idea, but couldn’t let that twerp think he knew better than she did.
She felt a twinge of sadness when she thought of Taras.  His practical knowledge of astronomy weighed a lot more in her opinion than the suggestions of pushy sales reps trying to tout their latest catalogues.  She knew, however, that he’d be moving on to better things at the university after the holidays were over. Yes, Taras would be missed.
Which brought to mind questions about what her own future held.  Her father was settled nicely in his new life, thanks to her. Sascha had bloomed and blossomed ever since Seraphina had started giving her the authority to act as an assistant buyer, turning her love of tinkering and invention into a concrete research tool that would stand her in good stead.  If Seraphina decided to return to active fieldwork, she could ask for no better than Sascha to step into her shoes here at Knights And Pages.
A furry body curled around her ankles.
“Would you miss me, Petrov?”
A trilling purr was her only reply.
DECEMBER 21ST: THE LITERARY FICTION AREA
“Tall William! Jamie Bennett!  To your posts, front and center.  Murasaki waits for no man!”
Both boys groaned as they answered their department head’s summons.  That pun was excruciatingly bad, even for their boss, who was known for bad wordplay.
“Why do I have to be Tall William this year?” grumbled Will, who stood barely an inch taller than Jamie’s five-foot-eight in stocking feet.
“No clue,” replied Jamie. “My mom says there’s always been a Tall William here as long as she could remember. A Christmas superstition.”
Mr. Qwerty fluttered - there was no other way to describe his unique way of locomoting - from shelf to shelf, his feet barely seeming to touch the ground as he stroked the spines of some of his favourite classics with affection.  Shoppers browsed in the aisles in front, behind,  and around him, and for all the attention he paid them, he might as well have been an invisible creature of fantasy and folklore.  For Mr. Qwerty, the written word was more important than any human, other than those humans who produced the written word and those humans who took on the awesome responsibility of bookselling.
Petrov refused to be ignored, however; he leaped atop the shelving cart next to where Mr. Qwerty stood, meowing loudly.  That got the fussy bespectacled man to emerge from his bibliophile's reverie.
“Ah, Yule Cat! Claw us not, for as you can see, we all have new raiment!”  He proudly tweaked his splendid bowtie, while Jamie and Will made unseen faces behind his back.
They were both careful, however, to make sure that Petrov saw that they were both also wearing new bowties.
DECEMBER 22ND AND DECEMBER 23RD: HISTORY, POETRY AND DRAMA, ROMANCE
Any seasoned bookseller worth their salt knows that the final two days before Christmas Eve are a kind of calm-before-the-storm situation, and that less experienced staff might find intriguing ways of breaking the “hurry up and wait” tension.  Thus no one who worked at Knights And Pages was surprised to observe, over those 48 hours:
A sword fight with NERF swords between Emma and Petter in the History section
Monty, who worked in the Poetry & Drama section, and Doris, who worked in Romance, hotly debating in all seriousness whether “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer” was an example of the epic form, and whether the Grandpa in the story would get married again
Joanna and Madeleine not taking sides with their department mates
Ombric, Nightlight, and Katherine, as the respective section heads involved, undecided as to whether they should interfere, resign, or go home with stress headaches
DECEMBER 24TH: THE SHOPOCALYPSE AND ITS AFTERMATH
The breakroom table was loaded with food, actual food, as well as candies and cakes. As was traditional, no one knew who had brought what dish, although a few guesses could be made.  The only rule was that every dish had to be labelled with its ingredients, and that utensils for gluten-free food had to be kept far, far away from any other utensils.
All the section heads made scrupulously sure that employees had staggered breaks so that EVERYONE could partake in the buffet over the course of the day.
Finally the last customer was ushered out of the bookstore, and both understaff and higher-ups heaved a collective sigh of relief that they’d survived another holiday season.
Manny made sure that Petrov’s litter box was scooped, that both his food dishes and water dishes were full, and that the heat was on in the back office before everyone left for Christmas.
Later that night, moonbeams shone in through the skylights as the grey cat prowled the sales floor one more time before heading up the backstairs to his TRUE domain.
Mister Lessmore, the proprietor of Knights And Pages, scooped Petrov up in loving arms, and they both snuggled down in the overstuffed armchair for a long winter’s nap.

Secret Santa 2020 - Request #43
@rotgsecretsanta
For request #43: Pitch black with dreamsand butterflies
I hope you like it.
Disclaimer: Rise of the Guardians belongs to Dreamworks. I do not own the movie.
------
A Dream Too Good to be True
The last thing Pitch remembered was that he was sent upwards by an uppercut from Sandy. Then, he was forcefully pulled towards the ground and then his world went black.
Pitch opened his eyes. He tried to sit up. He felt the aching pain from his forehead. How long had he been knocked out? He looked around his surroundings. It was pitch black – just like him.
Suddenly, a butterfly appeared in front of his eyes. It was made of golden dreamsand. Pitch was intrigued by its appearance. He did not understand why it was here. As he was about to reach out and catch it, the butterfly flew away.
He stood up and started chasing the butterfly. He wondered where it was taking him. He managed to grab the butterfly seconds later. He slowly opened his fist, and to his surprise, multiple gold butterflies flew out.
His surroundings began to change. He found himself in Burgess. He wondered if he had awakened from his dream.
As he turned around, he saw a couple of children staring at him. Their eyes widened in shock and fear. Pitch could hear them whispering “It’s him! The Boogeyman!”
Pitch was as shocked as them. They could see him! They believed in him! He approached the kids cautiously and let out a “boo!” The children screamed in terror, but their screams quickly turned to laughter.
“It is you! The Boogeyman!” one of the boys smiled brightly.
“I like it when you scare us! It feels like those horror movies and haunted houses that I enjoy!” another boy said.
“I know you give us nightmares, but you help us to treasure what we have right now!” a girl exclaimed.
“Not to mention that you have kept us safe from so many dangers in the world!” another girl added.
“Are you a guardian? Because you really are one!” a boy said.
Pitch was baffled when he heard the last sentence. He was not with the Guardians. However, he did think of himself as a guardian in the past. After all, without fear, the children would stray away from the adults, walk into the forest in the dark, and get mauled by wild animals.
Though, this was the first time a child perceived him as a guardian, not a monster to be feared. He felt appreciation for the first time, but he felt that he must correct the child.
“Well… I am not actually a guardian…” Pitch admitted.
“Actually, you are a guardian!” a voice with a thick Russian accent interrupted Pitch’s sentence.
Pitch knew that it was North. He turned his back and saw the guardians standing there. He was confused to see them beaming with pride and joy.
“What… what do you mean?” Pitch questioned North.
“We should have known better, Pitch. The world needs fear, and you use it to protect children.” North explained.
“We shouldn’t have asked you to change. Fear is your centre. We should have accepted you when we invited you to join us.” Tooth added.
“I guess you’re just misunderstood, mate.” Bunnymund remarked with a smile. Sandy also smiled at Pitch.
“We don’t have to be alone, Pitch.” Jack Frost stepped in front of the guardians as he spoke. “I believe in you. The guardians believe in you. The children believe in you. And I know that the Man in the Moon believe in you too.”
Pitch was surprised to hear that. “R-really?” he stammered.
“Yes!” Jack grinned. Pitch looked up to the sky and noticed the barest hint of the face of the Moon. His lips pulled a small smile when he saw the Moon smiling back at him.
“You could join us, Pitch.” Jack offered. “But we are not going to force you. You can think about it, but no matter what decision you make, we will always be here for you. After all, we are family.”
Jack extended his hand to Pitch. In response, Pitch stretched his hand and placed it on Jack’s palm. Pitch startled slightly from Jack’s cold touch, but it quickly became warm.
Tears began streaming down his face. Those were not sad tears – those were happy tears. Pitch had never felt this in his entire life.
“Thank… Thank you.” Pitch thanked Jack and smiled.
Suddenly, to Pitch’s surprise, Jack hugged him! The Guardians quickly joined in to give Pitch a group hug. Pitch did not like group hugs, but he would let it slide this time. He was just happy to feel someone’s touch after centuries of children passing through him and other mythical beings ignoring him.
Pitch groaned in pain. He opened his eyes to see the Guardians, the children and the yetis having a snowball fight as various Dreamsand creatures roamed around the town of Burgess. He was in disbelief – there was not an ounce of fear in the children’s eyes. Instead, they were having fun and their eyes were filled with joy.
Fun. Pitch thought. That’s Jack’s centre. Jack is the Guardian of Fun.
Pitch’s body began to shake with rage. He and Jack could have been a great duo – fear and fun could go well together. After all, how could anyone explain the existence of haunted houses and horror movies if humans did not enjoy them? Unfortunately, Jack rejected his offer because he did not want to be feared. Jack rejected him because of his centre – because he was the embodiment of fear. Jack had left him to be with the Guardians, leaving him in the cold and dark.
“You dare have fun in my presence! I am the Boogeyman! AND YOU WILL FEAR ME!” Pitch screamed. He lunged at Jamie, but instead of catching him, Jamie ran through him as if he was a ghost.
Pitch was devastated at the realization. The children no longer believed in him. He had no power over them because they did not fear him.
He saw the Guardians approaching him. He knew that he would not stand a chance against them, and knowing that he tried to destroy them, he knew it would not end well.
He fled into the forest as fast as the shadows could take him, but he could not outrun the Guardians. The Guardians caught up to him at the frozen pond.
“Leaving the party so soon?” North asked and smiled at Pitch who had crashed into him.
“You didn't even say goodbye.” Tooth noted and tossed something to Pitch.
Pitch caught it and it was a coin. “A quarter?” he was unimpressed.
His jaw was suddenly met with Tooth’s fist. The force knocked out one of his teeth.
“And that's for my fairies.” Tooth said and her Mini Fairies made nasty faces towards Pitch.
“You can't get rid of me! Not forever! There will always be fear!” Pitch scowled. He knew that he was right because fear would forever exist in everyone’s hearts, and he would continue to find ways to thwart the Guardians.
“So what? As long as one child believes, we will be here to fight fear!” North retorted. The other Guardians agreed with him.
“Really? Then what are they doing here?” Pitch questioned as hundreds of Nightmares encircled the pond. It was a terrifying sight, but the Guardians were unfazed.
“They can't be my Nightmares, I'm not afraid.” North stated.
Pitch’s eyes widened and his mouth was shut close. If the Nightmares did not smell fear from the Guardians, then it must be…
“Looks like it's your fear they smell.” Jack told Pitch.
The clouds suddenly parted and the moonlight shone through. It was the sign that Pitch feared most – the Guardians had emerged victorious. He had lost and had returned to square one – alone, weak, and nobody to fear or believe in him.
His eyes grew with horror as the Nightmares charged towards him. He tried to run but the Nightmares caught up to him easily. Streaks of black whip latched onto him and they began thickened, forming a cloud of black sand. The black sand pulled him through the forest and his screams could be heard clearly. Finally, he was pulled under the old, broken bed frame and into the hole to his lair.
Before the hole sealed itself up, Pitch caught a glimpse of the dreamsand butterfly that he had seen in his dream. He reached out and caught it. However, the gold butterfly immediately turned into a pile of black sand in his fist.
A tear ran down Pitch’s cheek. It was not a happy one like in the dream – it was a sad tear. He let the darkness and black sand overtook him. He knew it all too well – it was a dream too good to be true.

Secret Santa 2020 - Request #38
@rotgsecretsanta
For request #38: epilogue to the movie, maybe Jack checking on Pitch later out of sympathy?
I hope you like it.
Disclaimer: Rise of the Guardians belongs to Dreamworks and Afterglow belongs to Taylor Swift. I do not own them.
------
Afterglow
It had been weeks since Jack Frost saw Pitch. The scene of Pitch being dragged into his lair by his Nightmares still burned at the back of his mind. He was horrified – he thought it was too much for Pitch. Yes, Pitch had done some terrible things – he kidnapped the Mini Fairies, murdered Sandy, ruined Easter, broke Jack’s staff and his spirit, threatened Jamie and his friends, and almost plunged the world into darkness and fear. Yet, Jack could not stop feeling sorry for him.
Jack’s mind played back the time he and Pitch were in Antarctica. He felt a sense of compassion when he realized that Pitch had undergone the same pain as his. He already had that feeling when Pitch told the Guardians that he wanted to be believed in. He remembered staring into Pitch’s eyes, and it was that moment a true and sincere connection was established between them.
Jack returned to Antarctica and stood in front of the ice and nightmare sculpture that he and Pitch created when he lashed out on Pitch. Pitch’s offer echoed throughout the cold, silent place.
We don't have to be alone, Jack. I believe in you. And I know children will too. Look at what we can do! What goes together better than cold and dark? We can make them believe. We'll give them a world where everything, everything is...
“Pitch black?” Jack suddenly blurted out as he remembered his words.
And Jack Frost too.
Jack could hear Pitch saying his name.
They'll believe in both of us.
But Jack turned it down.
No, they'll fear both of us. And that's not what I want. Now for the last time, leave me alone.
Jack regretted what he had said. Pitch had always been the embodiment of fear, and his centre was fear. Rejecting his offer was equivalent to rejecting who he was. Besides, telling Pitch to leave him alone was an outburst. He let his emotions get the best of him. He did not intend to hurt his feelings.
Now that Pitch was gone after the final battle, Jack became a Guardian – the Guardian of Fun. Yes, he was supposed to bring some fun times to the children right now. After all, he needed more believers. However, his mind was focused on Pitch. He had been searching for him. He wanted to reach out to him. He wanted to apologize to him.
I blew things out of proportion, now you're blue Put you in jail for something you didn’t do
Jack remembered how Pitch reacted to his rejection. Yes, it was his fault after all – he could have given a better and more detailed answer. Instead, he had sabotaged their connection. After all, he was Jack Frost – and he had made a mess of everything.
I pinned your hands behind your back, oh Thought I had reason to attack, but no
Jack remembered pointing his staff at Pitch when he found Baby Tooth in his fist. He wanted to attack him. Now he thought about it, attacking Pitch physically would add more hurt in him, and that was after the emotional hurt that Jack had given to him.
Fighting with a true love is boxing with no gloves Chemistry 'til it blows up, 'til there’s no us
Jack and Pitch locked eyes. They realized that they had found each other – the one who understood their shared pain. They had a great chemistry – cold and dark. They would go well together, but now it was just a dream.
Why'd I have to break what I love so much? It's on your face, and I'm to blame, I need to say
Hey, it's all me, in my head I'm the one who burned us down But it's not what I meant Sorry that I hurt you I don't wanna do, I don’t wanna do this to you (Ooh) I don’t wanna lose, I don't wanna lose this with you (Ooh) I need to say, hey, it’s all me, just don't go Meet me in the afterglow
Jack needed to find Pitch. He really needed to say sorry to him. He hoped that Pitch would forgive him. He quickly let the wind take him home.
It's so excruciating to see you low Just wanna lift you up and not let you go This ultraviolet morning light below Tells me this love is worth the fight, oh
Jack remembered the sight of a defeated Pitch. His plan of destroying the Guardians had failed. The children did not believe or fear him. They passed through him like a ghost. The Guardians confronted him the last time, and Tooth punched him so hard that one of his teeth flew out. His Nightmares turned against him and he was overwhelmed by his own fear. If Jack had reacted faster, he would have reach out to Pitch.
I lived like an island, punished you with silence Went off like sirens, just crying
Jack was used to being alone, but he hated the feeling of loneliness. Pitch knew that feeling all too well, but Jack rejected him. Now that Jack had sided with the Guardians in the end, Pitch must have felt more hurt than ever.
Why'd I have to break what I love so much? It’s on your face, don't walk away, I need to say
As Jack approached his home Burgess, scenes of the final battle flashed before his eyes. He remembered trying to tell Pitch to stop the fight. He didn’t want Pitch to end up all alone if he lost.
Hey, it's all me, in my head I'm the one who burned us down But it's not what I meant I'm sorry that I hurt you I don't wanna do, I don't wanna do this to you (Ooh) I don't wanna lose, I don't wanna lose this with you (Ooh) I need to say, hey, it's all me, just don't go Meet me in the afterglow
Jack landed on the icy pond, where he became Jack Frost and then a Guardian. He noticed that the sun had set, and the sky was painted with red, pink and purple. It was the afterglow.
Pitch would appear soon, making Jack’s search for him easier. However, what would happen if they meet again? Jack feared that Pitch would still harbour bitterness and hatred towards him after the rejection. He feared that their connection may have been severed forever.
Tell me that you're still mine Tell me that we'll be just fine Even when I lose my mind I need to say Tell me that it's not my fault Tell me that I'm all you want Even when I break your heart I need to say
Hey, it's all me, in my head I'm the one who burned us down But it's not what I meant Sorry that I hurt you I don't wanna do, I don't wanna do this to you (Ooh) I don't wanna lose, I don't wanna lose this with you (Ooh) I need to say, hey, it's all me, just don't go Meet me in the afterglow
“…Jack?” Jack jumped when he heard that familiar voice calling out his name. It was none other than Pitch Black.
“…Pitch?” Jack turned to the direction of the voice.
He saw Pitch standing a few feet away from him. He quickly placed his staff on the icy surface to show that he did not come here to fight him.
“…I am sorry.” Jack apologized and quickly avoided Pitch’s gaze.
A moment of silence.
“…I am sorry too.” Pitch apologized as well.
They locked eyes, just like that time they were in Antarctica. It was at that moment their connection was mended.
In the afterglow.

Soul Riders
Rating: Teen  Fandom: Rise of the Guardians  Relationship: Jack Frost/Pitch Black Tags: Dragon Riders, Soulbonds, Alternate Universe, some violence, Pre-Relationship, Jack takes Yolo to heart Summary: Jack is the favorite in these dragon races. Being in North's good graces has always afforded him room to be as unconventional as he would like about it.
Still, going back to save a rival from certain doom and assuring your own loss in the race seems a tad bit more than 'unconventional.' Jack does it anyway.
For @rotgsecretsanta 2020 #61:  Jack/Pitch OTP - Dragon Riders AU. Bonus for soul bonds/mind bonds/creature bonds.
Jack indulged in the heavy, racing beat in his chest as his dragon just barely cleared the top of the stands to swoop low over the crowd. He unhooked one foot from its stirrup and hung dangerously off the other side, his beloved Flurry obligingly lifting his legs out of the way so that Jack could high five an entire row of kids on their way to the starting line.
The crowd cheered for him as he swung back up into his seat. Flurry landed gracefully several yards away from where they eventually needed to be when the race started. There were too many bodies, human and dragon alike, for a bulky ice dragon like him to set down in place from the get-go, and besides, the showmanship of parting the sea of competitors to take their place in the prime spot was too good to give up. North liked it when he played up his status and Jack liked it when he turned heads, so it was a win/win.
Flurry snapped his tail, instinctively feeling the proximity of an unwelcome guest, and Jack, tied into Flurry’s instincts, slid out of the saddle immediately so they could turn together to face the pair who dared invade their space and their spotlight.
Of course it was Pitch.

Secret Santa 2020 - Request #36
@rotgsecretsanta
For request #36: Dark Jack/Pitch (u kno ;) )
It’s very difficult for me to write an accurate Dark Jack, so I base his personality in this fanfic on the song “Don’t Blame Me”, which gives me blackice feels.
I hope you like it.
Disclaimer: Rise of the Guardians belongs to Dreamworks and Don’t Blame Me belongs to Taylor Swift. I do not own them.
------
Don’t Blame Me
300 years of isolation and unanswered questions had taken a toll of Jack Frost. He felt that the Man in the Moon had completely abandoned him. He had never received a single reply from the moon.
To make matters worse, no children believed in Jack. They passed through him like a ghost. No matter how much he tried, he could not make them believe in him.
Jack tried searching answers from the Guardians, but they ignored him. The Yetis threw him out of North’s workshop like a rag doll. Bunnymund chased him out of the Warren and told him to scram because he froze the plants. He got a scolding from Tooth because the snowstorms he created put her Mini Fairies in danger. Sandy was the only one Jack was fine with, but he felt that the Sandman was ignoring him. He felt that the Guardians do not want him – no, they do not need him.
On the day Jack was kidnapped and sent to the North Pole, he was told that the Man in the Moon chose him to be a guardian. He did not understand why the moon was withholding such information from him. Moreover, being a guardian was not his thing – he did not want to be bound by responsibilities. He was frustrated and confused, and he felt like he was used by the moon and the Guardians.
Nevertheless, Jack accompanied the Guardians to the Tooth Palace, where they faced off Pitch Black, the Boogeyman. For the first time, Jack met someone who had the same desire as his – to be believed in. Jack was mesmerized by Pitch – his swift movements as he travelled like a shadow, his seductive voice, his smug smile, his sassiness and his fondness of horses.
Jack was shocked – what was happening to him? Why was he feeling this way to the one who was trying to destroy the Guardians? Then again, the Guardians never cared about him, why should he bother to care from them in return?
When the Guardians were distracted by the fact Pitch had escaped, Jack quickly flew away from the group. He wanted to find Pitch. He wanted to know more about him. He wanted to be with him.
Don't blame me, love made me crazy If it doesn't, you ain't doin' it right Lord, save me, my drug is my baby I'll be usin' for the rest of my life
Jack knew that his actions would disappoint the guardians and the Man in the Moon, but they disappointed him first. Plus, he was sure that he was already a disappointment to them – he was a troublemaker. He brought chaos and trouble wherever he goes. He pranked people and the Guardians, especially Bunnymund. The best prank that he did to Bunny was creating a blizzard on Easter Sunday 1968.
I've been breakin' hearts a long time And toyin' with them older guys Just playthings for me to use
Jack thought that nobody would understand his loneliness until he encountered Pitch Black. He felt that he was drawn to the Nightmare King. He needed him, even if he ended up in darkness.
Something happened for the first time In the darkest little paradise Shakin', pacin', I just need you
Jack did not care if he turned against the Guardians by joining Pitch. He agreed with what Pitch said, the Guardians never understood the pain of being cast out and not be believed in.
For you, I would cross the line I would waste my time I would lose my mind They say, "He's gone too far this time"
Don't blame me, love made me crazy If it doesn't, you ain't doin' it right Lord, save me, my drug is my baby I'll be usin' for the rest of my life Don't blame me, love made me crazy If it doesn't, you ain't doin' it right Oh, Lord, save me, my drug is my baby I'll be usin' for the rest of my life
Jack landed on a nearby forest. He wondered where Pitch had gone to. Suddenly, from the corner of his eyes, he saw a Nightmare passed by him. He sprinted through the trees until he reached a clearing. He scanned his surroundings, but the Nightmare was gone. However, he did notice a broken bed frame in the middle of the clearing.
Jack had no idea why the rotten frame was there. Though, he could hear someone calling his name from there. The voice sent shivers down Jack’s spine. It was Pitch. His dark, sultry voice was driving Jack insane. Jack could only hear Pitch’s name echoing inside his head, and it was making him more obsessed with the Nightmare King.
My name is whatever you decide And I'm just gonna call you mine I'm insane, but I'm your baby (Your baby) Echoes of your name inside my mind Halo hiding my obsession I once was poison ivy, but now I'm your daisy
Jack took his staff and hit the bed frame repeatedly until a part of it broke through. He discovered a dark hole leading deep underground. He jumped down the hole.
And baby, for you, I would fall from grace Just to touch your face If you walk away, I'd beg you on my knees to stay
Jack followed the long dark tunnel into a huge underground cavern. He realized that he was in Pitch’s Lair. Dozens of huge bird cages were hanging from the ceiling, and Tooth’s Mini Fairies were imprisoned there. The fairies saw Jack and immediately perked up. They were chirping and flitting frantically as they were begging for him to save them.
Jack clasped his ears with his palms. “Keep it down! I am here for Pitch!” he yelled as he got annoyed by the Mini Fairies.
Don't blame me, love made me crazy If it doesn't, you ain't doin' it right Lord, save me, my drug is my baby I'll be usin' for the rest of my life Don't blame me, love made me crazy If it doesn't, you ain't doin' it right Oh, Lord, save me, my drug is my baby I'll be usin' for the rest of my life
Suddenly, the cavern darkened, and Jack spotted a shadow of Pitch hovering above him.
“Looking for me?” Pitch asked politely.
Jack quickly turned around to face Pitch’s voice as the Nightmare King emerged from the darkness and shadows.
“…Y-Yes…” Jack stammered, and he felt his cheeks were heating up. He did not understand this reaction.
Pitch noticed Jack’s embarrassment. “Pretty flattered to meet the Boogeyman?” he teased Jack.
Jack flushed even more. “H-How… How did you know that?!” he questioned as he gripped his staff tighter.
“I know everything about you, Jack.” Pitch answered. “I know your pain of solitude and your devastation that nobody believes in your existence.”
Jack was giving Pitch the full attention as he listened. There was a look of compassion on his face.
“I know those feelings all too well. I thought nobody would understand it… but now I see I was wrong.” Pitch smiled.
They locked eyes. They never thought that they would find something from each other – love, support, comfort and understanding.
I get so high, oh! Every time you're, every time you're lovin' me You're lovin' me Trip of my life, oh! Every time you're, every time you're touchin' me You're touchin' me
Pitch moved closer to Jack. “We don’t have to be alone, Jack.” He said. “I believe in you. And I know children will too.”
“In me?” Jack asked curiously.
“Yes!” Pitch answered excitedly. He held Jack’s staff. The black sand from his hand splashed onto the icy streaks on the wooden staff, creating a fusion of ‘black ice’.
“Look at what we can do!” Pitch gestured Jack to the ice and black sand fusion. The black sand remained malleable, but the icy coating had made it more durable. “What goes together better than cold and dark?”
“We can make them believe.” Pitch continued. “We’ll give them a world where everything, everything is…”
“Pitch black?” Jack suggested.
“And Jack Frost too.” Pitch added. “They’ll believe in both of us.”
Pitch offered his hand to Jack. “Join me. Please.” He said.
Every time you're, every time you're lovin' me Oh, Lord, save me My drug is my baby I'll be usin' for the rest of my life (Usin' for the rest of my life, oh-whoah-oh-oh)
Jack took his hand. They both shared an embrace. It was something that they had longed for.
Don't blame me, love made me crazy If it doesn't, you ain't doin' it right (Doin' it right, no) Lord, save me, my drug is my baby I'll be usin' for the rest of my life, oh-oh Don't blame me, love made me crazy (Oh-oh-oh) If it doesn't, you ain't doin' it right (You ain't doin' it right) Oh, Lord, save me, my drug is my baby I'll be usin' for the rest of my life (I'll be usin', I'll be usin')
I get so high, oh! Every time you're, every time you're lovin' me You're lovin' me Oh, Lord, save me, my drug is my baby I'll be usin' for the rest of my life
“Now let’s destroy the Guardians.” Pitch said and smirked. Jack smirked back.
How great it was to find someone like you.

Secret Santa 2020 - Request #49
@rotgsecretsanta
For request #49: found family
I hope you like it.
Disclaimer: Rise of the Guardians belongs to Dreamworks and Beautiful Ghosts belongs to Taylor Swift. I do not own them.
------
Beautiful Ghosts
London. The streets were covered in snow. It was a rare occurrence here, and pretty sudden as well. The adults were annoyed, but the children were happy. Jack Frost arrived to greet the children with some snowmen. He used his magic to create a magical snowball, which quickly led to a massive snowball fight. After that, he led them to a fun sled ride.
Jack was glad to see the kids having fun for the whole day. He loved seeing them returning home with smiles on their faces. It had been so long for Jack to finally be seen by children, starting from his first believer Jamie.
As night fell, Jack took a stroll across the London streets. The moonlight shone brightly on the dark sky. He looked up to see the moon and remembered the day he was born as Jack Frost. He only knew his name and nothing else. He was all alone – nobody could see him, and nobody welcomed him. He did not have a single memory of his past.
He was lost, confused and lonely.
Follow me home if you dare to I wouldn't know where to lead you Should I take chances when no one took chances on me? So I watch from the dark, wait for my life to start With no beauty in my memory
Jack envied the guardians. They were believed in and children loved them. They also had each other. Jack had nothing when he was born. He only had his magical staff and his name given by the moon, and that was the only thing he knew. The moon never told him anything else after that. He tried searching for answers. He tried to find belonging in this world. He hoped to at least talk to the Guardians, but he was so under the radar that they never noticed him. He tried multiple times to sneak into North’s workplace, but the Yetis, specifically Phil always threw him out. He even tried sneaking into Bunny’s Warren and the Tooth Palace but failed. He felt abandoned.
All that I wanted was to be wanted Too young to wander London streets, alone and haunted Born into nothing At least you have something, something to cling to Visions of dazzling rooms I'll never get let into And the memories were lost long ago But at least you have beautiful ghosts
Jack always slept outside. He preferred to sleep on tree branches because of the wolves. Their howling alerted him, and he would have to fight them if they approached him. Aside of avoiding the wolves, Jack could catch some dreamsand to sleep before the sunrise.
Perilous night, their voices calling A flicker of light before the dawning
Although the children could not see him, Jack loved them and would use his powers to make them happy. He loved playing with them to distract himself from his fear of eternal loneliness and not being believed in. He had been by himself for so long that he found himself unable to accept the fact he was chosen to be a Guardian. He could not open himself up to them – they had ignored and abandoned him all these years. What if they did it again as he got close to them, just as Pitch had warned him?
Out here, the wild ones are taming the fear within me Scared to call them my friends and be broken again Is this hope just a mystical dream?
All that I wanted was to be wanted Too young to wander London streets, alone and haunted Born into nothing At least you have something, something to cling to Visions of dazzling rooms I'll never get let into And the memories were lost long ago But at least you have beautiful ghosts
Jack never thought that he would become a guardian. He did not like having responsibilities. He did not understand why the Man in the Moon chose him. As he spent time with the Guardians, he began to understand them better. North was like a father figure to him, encouraging him to find his centre. Tooth and Sandy were friendly and welcoming. Bunny was like a brother to him – they bickered a lot, but they cared for each other. Although life as a guardian was not exactly safe as you must risk your life to fight Pitch and the Nightmares, Jack never felt so alive with the Guardians. Jack’s life was wild and free, and he thought that he would lose the freedom if he became a guardian. However, that time they raced across the world to collect teeth made him change his mind.
And so maybe my home isn't what I had known What I thought it would be But I feel so alive with these phantoms of night And I know that this life isn't safe, but it's wild and it's free
Jack found his memories back. He realized that he had a family – he had a sister and he saved her. He finally understood why he was chosen by the Man in the Moon – he was a guardian. With his newfound purpose, Jack was able to gain his first believer, Jamie, and then discovered his centre – fun.
After helping the Guardians to defeat Pitch, Jack became an official guardian. He would no longer be alone anymore – he had found the Guardians as his new family, and Jamie and his friends as his new believers. Jack never knew he would love this world that the Man in the Moon had brought him into.
All that I wanted was to be wanted I'll never wander London streets, alone and haunted Born into nothing With them, I have something, something to cling to I never knew I'd love this world they've let me into
Jack remembered his past life as a human. His family, especially his sister was gone now. He missed the chance to meet them when he became Jack Frost. However, he focused on what he had right now – and he was happy.
And the memories were lost long ago So I'll dance with these beautiful ghosts And the memories were lost long ago So I'll dance with these beautiful ghosts
Jack gathered the gusts. He was lifted and carried away from London. He was heading back to his home Burgess, hoping to have a quick meeting with Jamie.
