I felt like it was time to come out of my cave and draw some Rise of the Guardians fanart for the first time in nearly 4 years, but of course I had to make it a redraw of something I did 9 years ago.

It felt so cathartic and good getting to drawing some RotG again, and it brought me back to that place in my life when I was absolutely obsessed with this movie (and universe).

Its also nice to see how far I've come with my art in the last 9 years. I'm very proud of myself, and I'm finally making the quality kind of art that I desperately wanted to be making 9 years ago but I just wasn't at that skill level yet (if 20 year old me could see me now!)

I still adore this ship to the moon and back, though. Who knows, maybe I'll draw some more! Even if I don't, this was so much fun to do! I tried to make the redraw look more "vintage" and referenced some vintage Christmas cards for the look. I also did my own little spin on Pitch (I really wish they incorporated some sort of gold into his design like they did with some of the concept art, so I gave him an earring and pointy ears. Artistic interpretation and all that).

I feel like I’m neglecting my favorite ship after all the dp fanart lately so it’s nice to draw them again. I messed up, it was supposed to be a full-on smOOch on the LiPs but the angle was all wrong so kiss on the cheek it is! Goodnight✨

We Used To Be Stars

I had written down some years old comic ideas, and I had found them again. One was about Jack discussing his subconscious existentialism awareness of half his soul belonging to Nightlight by star communication. (since Jack has inherited some of Nightlight’s abilities) 

There’s a lot Jack and Pitch don’t fully understand or remember, but there’s a part of them that has a strange sadness buzzing and whispering in their head…..perhaps, its better that way.
