And then I think it's so cute that behind the scenes you guys are like "ah, we should just surrender into magic." Oh my gosh. MAJANDRA: I just- the word "surrender", you guys, and then "magic." BRENDAN: It's really incredible. It's on another level.

I swear I'm trying to catch up to date, but I don't have a lot of time, here's my rewatch of The Balance

Forgive me, but this needs to be said.

Call me crazy, but I like being able to understand what's happening on screen and not having to rely on what the screenwriter says on Twitter after the episode to be able to understand what the fuck is going on. Roswell New Mexico is great and all but the writing seems really weak if we can't understand what's actually happening and we have to rely on Cadly tweeting out what each scene really meant. She's also really confusing and keeps contradicting herself. Forget the whole Malex mess that's been created,forget all the shipping in general, the whole premise of the show has had to be explained to us in her tweets. I'm tired of it. She should take a note from The Magicians or The Walking Dead or even This Is Us on how to write. When I watch those shows I don't have to follow along with what the writers are saying on Twitter as the episode airs to understand what's happening on my screen. I can just enjoy the show not have to analyze it. I had high hopes for her knowing that she was coming from Supernatural. But her own writing is seemingly a mess at this point. I'll watch the final two episodes of the season, but if it doesn't pick up, I may end up ditching. I need to be able to understand what the hell is going on to enjoy it. This doesn't even include the mess she's created with these characters and how some of them have had almost no build up or anything. I get that it's only the first season and all but I think we still no next to nothing about some of the characters that she claims to be oh so important. I really do think that unfortunately last night's episode showed this the most and it's possible she might have ruined the whole in one episode. She made all these promises about what was going to happen and all and now she's quickly backtracking on what she's said. I don't understand it at all. She seems to be baiting people into watching it. If the show is good, it won't need ships to keep it afloat. The plotline and characters should be enough to pull viewers in.
