Guide to dressing like Pete Wentz in the 2000s!

Shirts: any shirt that says something dumb or maybe just wear a clandestine industry shirt, band tee, graphic shirt, and dumb shirts will work too!

Pants: Skinny jeans, bootcut jeans, or straight jeans will work ( make sure they're LOOOOOOOOWW like hanging on your buttcrack low. So low to the point you can’t bend comfortably)

Sweaters/jackets: same as Mikey the sweaters Pete usually wore were tight but not SUPER tight but girl sweater tight, sweaters that have dumb phrases , a lack of color coordination or just colored tight sweaters.

Accessories: beanies,hats,hoodies, anything to cover your head. For beanies just wear a striped one specially grey and red or just grey. For hats get a Ryan Ross hat and call it a day.belts make sure they are studded or clandestine belts and you’ll look like Pete wentz’s twin!

When Queenie holds her breath, she becomes completely black. Which makes Kinger & Queenie like an on & off switch. Kinger = On. Queenie = Off.

Look, I get it, Ross isn’t exactly the internet’s favorite F.R.I.E.N.D.S character. He’s awkward, he’s whiny, he over-explains things like a walking Wikipedia page, and yeah, the whole "we were on a break" fiasco is permanently etched into pop culture debates. But let’s take a step back for a second.

Ross is not a villain. He’s not some irredeemable, toxic character who deserves the amount of slander he gets. He’s just…human. And if we’re being honest, aren’t we all a little Ross sometimes? Overly passionate about random things? A little insecure? Stubborn? Messy? You might not be the one yelling about dinosaurs, but trust me, you’ve had your moments.

Ross gets a lot of hate for not being around Ben as much as people think he should be. But let’s be real, he was a divorced dad sharing custody, and Carol and Susan were Ben’s primary caregivers. Despite that, he made an effort, spent time with him, and even put up with Susan constantly putting him down. When Emma was born, he immediately stepped up, was super protective, and wanted to be as involved as possible. Not to mention, he spent the entirety of F.R.I.E.N.D.S wanting to build a family. If anything, Ross was one of the most devoted parents on the show.

People don’t talk about Ross and Phoebe’s friendship enough. Yes, they bickered about science vs. spirituality, but he always respected her, even when he didn't understand her weirdness. He went out of his way to teach her about evolution despite knowing she'd disagree. And let’s not forget how, when he thought he bought her a real bike, he took the time to teach her how to ride it. That’s a core memory right there.

People love to highlight his flaws, his jealousy, his inability to let things go, his mistakes in relationships. But if we only focus on that, we ignore the fact that Ross is also incredibly kind, intelligent, and deeply loyal to the people he loves. This is a guy who fought for his son, who supported his friends, who let Rachel chase her dreams (even if he was absolutely wrecked about it). This is a guy who, despite his many, many failures in love, still believed in it enough to try again and again.

If we’re going to call out Ross’s faults, then we have to call out everyone else’s too. Chandler had commitment issues, Monica was controlling, Rachel could be selfish, Joey was, well, Joey and Phoebe? As much as we love her, she could be manipulative and self-righteous when she wanted to be.

The beauty of F.R.I.E.N.D.S is that none of them are perfect. That’s what makes them real, what makes them funny, what makes them us.

And I, for one, will die on this hill. 🦕✨
