Look, I get it, Ross isn’t exactly the internet’s favorite F.R.I.E.N.D.S character. He’s awkward, he’s whiny, he over-explains things like a walking Wikipedia page, and yeah, the whole "we were on a break" fiasco is permanently etched into pop culture debates. But let’s take a step back for a second.

Ross is not a villain. He’s not some irredeemable, toxic character who deserves the amount of slander he gets. He’s just…human. And if we’re being honest, aren’t we all a little Ross sometimes? Overly passionate about random things? A little insecure? Stubborn? Messy? You might not be the one yelling about dinosaurs, but trust me, you’ve had your moments.

Ross gets a lot of hate for not being around Ben as much as people think he should be. But let’s be real, he was a divorced dad sharing custody, and Carol and Susan were Ben’s primary caregivers. Despite that, he made an effort, spent time with him, and even put up with Susan constantly putting him down. When Emma was born, he immediately stepped up, was super protective, and wanted to be as involved as possible. Not to mention, he spent the entirety of F.R.I.E.N.D.S wanting to build a family. If anything, Ross was one of the most devoted parents on the show.

People don’t talk about Ross and Phoebe’s friendship enough. Yes, they bickered about science vs. spirituality, but he always respected her, even when he didn't understand her weirdness. He went out of his way to teach her about evolution despite knowing she'd disagree. And let’s not forget how, when he thought he bought her a real bike, he took the time to teach her how to ride it. That’s a core memory right there.

People love to highlight his flaws, his jealousy, his inability to let things go, his mistakes in relationships. But if we only focus on that, we ignore the fact that Ross is also incredibly kind, intelligent, and deeply loyal to the people he loves. This is a guy who fought for his son, who supported his friends, who let Rachel chase her dreams (even if he was absolutely wrecked about it). This is a guy who, despite his many, many failures in love, still believed in it enough to try again and again.

If we’re going to call out Ross’s faults, then we have to call out everyone else’s too. Chandler had commitment issues, Monica was controlling, Rachel could be selfish, Joey was, well, Joey and Phoebe? As much as we love her, she could be manipulative and self-righteous when she wanted to be.

The beauty of F.R.I.E.N.D.S is that none of them are perfect. That’s what makes them real, what makes them funny, what makes them us.

And I, for one, will die on this hill. 🦕✨

The Astrology Behind Mathew Perry's Iconic Portrayal of Chandler Bing

Today, I want to pay tribute to the man who played one of my favorite characters on TV. RIP Matthew Perry. Sniffles I'm definitely NOT crying right now.

I always had a little crush on Chandler, and he always made me laugh the hardest on the show. Sighs while staring into the distance.

So.. onto the analysis-

Matthew had a Leo Sun and Ascendant, which gave him that natural Leo charm, confidence, and sense of humor. Leos thrive in the spotlight, and this energy undoubtedly helped Perry embody Chandler's witty and attention-grabbing personality. It's like Chandler's quick wit found a perfect match in Mathew's lively nature.

Next up, his Scorpio Moon. Scorpio Moons are known for their intensity and passion. This emotional depth allowed Perry to tap into Chandler's serious and emotional side, especially during those heartfelt moments with his friends. Plus, his Scorpio Moon was responsible for Chandler's dark humor, adding a mysterious and edgy quality to his jokes. Just like Chandler, Scorpio Moons are fiercely loyal, mirroring Chandler's deep bonds with his friends.

Now, let's talk about Mathew's Mars in Sagittarius. Mars represents our drive and assertiveness. Sagittarius brings in an adventurous and optimistic spirit. With Mars in this sign, Perry infused Chandler with bold sarcasm and witty comebacks. It's like Chandler's adventurous side got a boost from Mars in Sagittarius, making his humor even more dynamic.

Mathew had his Venus in Cancer which brought in a nurturing and sensitive quality to Chandler's vibe . Despite Chandler's sarcastic exterior, his caring and loyal side, especially in his relationship with Monica, came through. Venus in Cancer influenced this aspect of his character, making him incredibly endearing to the audience. That soft, empathetic touch made Chandler all the more lovable.

Lastly, Mathew's Mercury in Virgo sharpened Chandler's wit and clever one-liners. Virgos are detail-oriented and practical, and this placement ensured Chandler's lines were precise and perfectly timed for maximum comedic effect. Virgo's attention to detail influenced Chandler's sarcastic and analytical communication style, becoming one of his defining traits on the show. And arguably one of my favorite things about his character.

This was my take on how some of Mathew's placements influenced his portrayal of our beloved Chandler Bing (or Ms. Chanandellar Bong, if you like)

I'm gonna go watch Friends and cry while eating my popcorn now.

Please please please I know we all love Friends and Chandler was our favourite character and Matthew always put a smile on our faces and that’s all amazing but can we please please please talk about this:

When I die, I know people will talk about Friends, Friends, Friends. And I'm glad of that, happy l've done some solid work as an actor, as well as given people multiple chances to make fun of my struggles on the world wide web...

but when I die, as far as my so-called accomplishments go, it would be nice if Friends were listed far behind the things I did to try to help other people.
