Some Cute/Silly Alastor and Rosie Thoughts

Just a random thought in my head but:

the book Bambi came out in 1923 (1928 in English)

the Disney film version of it came out in 1942

If Rosie is a Hello Dolly pastiche then she probably died in the 1890s/1900s but on the other hand we don't know if Hell gets Earth pop culture

(There probably is a thriving bootleg scene where Hellborn who can go to Earth bring back vhs tapes/dvds etc to sell to Sinners who want to keep up)

But we also know Rosie appears to be keeping up with the times more or less and the mental image of her calling Alastor 'Bambi' as a term of endearment in an auntie kind of way is too cute to pass up. And she's probably the only person who could get away with it

Alternatively Angel could call Alastor that to piss him off, which I would also find amusing as hell

But I love the idea of Rosie basically acting to Alastor the way my aunties acted towards me/my cousins growing up. Like she could probably futz with his hair in public or be like 'hey you have a bit of schmutz on your face, just a sec' *pulls out handkerchief and wipes it off* and he would not be thrilled by her doing it in public but he'd also let her (while glaring daggers at anyone who was watching this like 'you better not say ANYTHING')

This mental image is partially inspired by the fact that in the webcomic Skin Deep by Kory Bing (https://www.skindeepcomic.com/, awesome webcomic srsly go check it out) there is a deer shapeshifter whose mum (also a deer shapeshifter) calls him Bambi as a nickname and I could see Rosie doing that to Alastor. The idea amuses the heck out of me.

I just really love these two and their relationship and I want a whole comic/episode/etc about them as besties and how they met/etc. They're just too dang cute together.

Redacted Headcanons: Smoking Edition :3

honey is really giggly and affectionate when they’re high (as stated previously)

guy is less “millennial humor” and wayyyyyyy more affectionate. think the personality of fool!guy but with his continued affection

david smiles a lot and can’t keep his eyes open for too long before squinting them; he does giggle

angel falls asleep almost instantly

milo doesn’t participate unless sweetheart is present

morgan can feel the rhythm of time and falls into visions more often

geordi gets a kick out of hearing cutie’s thoughts

cutie won’t stop laughing at the funny things they think

sweetheart has trained themselves to look sober

darlin needs a significant amount more for it to hit

anton doesn’t smoke, but when he does, it’s only been to cope with the project and the isolation from his partner

james does it as a way to unwind—mostly ends up with him in tears thinking of his spouse

damn crew has a night out of the month where they all get together for it

freelancer loves watching damien burn a hole in the floor over mario kart

lasko’s loose lips become even looser and he stutters less

- i saw a hc where milo isn’t necessarily short, but the other guys are just unbelievably tall. in my head milo is 5’11, ash is 6’5, and david is 6’9. tank is the only one who looks deceiving bc they’re like 5’10 in my head but their wolf is as big as david’s. ppl from the outside make the joke that shaw security is secretly a tall person club

- guy was a music major before he switched to writing. i mentioned it in his playlist post but i get those vibes HARD. he also writes honey poetry because he knows they secretly like it

- i like the idea that darlin and angel came from a rough family upbringing because 1. it’s relatable to a lot of ppl and 2. it would explain why tank shoves themselves into harms way and why angel is so outgoing now. it shows different responses to trauma imo.

- babe sometimes has crippling panic attacks on the thought of angel being a latent empowered and leaving them alone as the unempowered person of the group, but in my mind babe is the latent one and they’re a fire elemental.

- sweetheart feels guilty sometimes for being empowered while the other mates aren’t. they know it has absolutely nothing to do with them and that they can’t do anything about it, but sometimes they feel a pang in their heart at the fact that the other two won’t feel their core swell and warm up when looking at their mates.

- starlight has night terrors about the time they fell down—both times. they also think about when avior fell and they can’t help but intrusively picture what he looked like when he finally landed. it makes them physically ill. avior has to be extra careful when talking back about their experiences sometimes.

- lovely is still goes to therapy every week to work through the trauma of adam, dying, and now they’ve added the summit on top of that. they’re withering away into a husk of themselves. they’re so exhausted with dealing with all of this pressure, but they’d do anything for vincent (and i think that’s going to be their downfall).

- gavin has been brought to tears on multiple occasions at the thought that freelancer loves him for him and not just because he’s an incubus. he’s had to muffle his sobs because he genuinely does not know how he deserved someone so loving. he hasn’t brought it up to them yet.

- i think that freelancer is on the ace spectrum (greysexual maybe?) and that gavin was the only person they’ve ever really had sex with, or wanted to have sex with. they trusted him enough to “show them the ropes” and he built their confidence to where it is now. gavin helped build their relationship with sex and while they’re still on the spectrum, they’re more positive about it and they enjoy that kind of intimacy with him.

i think it’s just because the channel might seem intimidating for casual listeners because the lore is genuinely so like…big. the universe in itself is big and you don’t realize how deep you are into it until you try to explain it to someone who doesn’t know much—the details just keep going on and on and on😭

Does it seem like the Redacted Audio fandom just isn't growing anymore? I swear it feels like his subscriber count has been stuck at 160k since last October and hasn't moved an inch since. It's kind of sad to me because I'll see cookie cutter audio channels continue to grow and surpass him while his growth stagnated for reasons I just don't understand.
