(foxstride) some weird warrior names: wetpuddle, sunlight, sunshade, featherbird, birdfeather, blackbird, blueberry, and ofc strawberry (if you use straw- as a prefix, which. Barn cats) there are a LOT of -berry and -fish and -rose you could also say (redrose, yellowrose, etc - I have a personal rule to avoid colours with the -rose suffix unless super necessary, but then in canon we have Rosepetal soooo)

sunshade! ohhh i love -shade too. one of my favourite suffixes.

ksldjf okay i love birdfeather. i don't use bird- as a prefix bc like, cats name kits after Specific Birds which makes bird- feel weird however. this is not about my opinions this is about fun cat names.

blackbird! big fan. i love blackbirds too. plus like. blackbirdkit → blackbirdbird. just a Thought.

n yeah there's definitely a lot of stuff. snowice, snowfrost, icefrost, etc., are my favourite fun combos that get Silly right now.

also yeah...rosepetal i love her but petal feels like a strange suffix for her? idk maybe i'm overthinking this.

anyway! i'm kind of the same. i mean i'll do shit like pinewillow (i just like -willow ok?) and leafpetal (i don't have a rationale beyond "it sounded nice") but i try not to use like. finchbird. rosestem. and so on.

yeah!!!!! i think about this more than is reasonable actually.

it's why i developed my hc that firestar named her after leafpool bc otherwise i'd have to throw her name in the bin of names i hate (characters i love) with like. yellowfang. runningnose. littlecloud. why are they all shadowclan medicine cats? because they have no naming sense. shadowsight. etc.

(shadowsight only because puddleshine named him and i don't like the implications surrounding spiresight.)

but it's part of why when given the opportunity to rename her at 0 penalty to me i named her hollyshine.
