Could I perhaps ask you to talk about your fankids some more if you have the time? I love their designs, especially the davekat fankids. Your art is super cute too!

Of course and always! (^v^) Get ready, this is gonna get loooong……

First i want to talk aboat their relationships with their parents/guardians, ranked from best to worst:

Harper: He is a good buoy! Very cheery and active, he's loyal to his mother, but also won't pass up on an opportunity to misbehave, hehe. He always acompanies her on her expeditions and (almsot) always obeys, unless it involves getting dirty. He loves splashing mud, ink and whatever eeeeeeeverywhere….

Beatrice: She really admires her mothers and aspires to be like them, following most of their hobbies and overall always interacting. Bea isn't afraid to speak up her mind with them aboat what she is thinking or what she is doing, because as long as she doesn't die, she's allowed to do whatever she wants lolz

Danny: He has a good relationship with his parents, but he also wishes they weren't so damn overprotective and nosey in his life! Especially Dave, who's always teasing him about his more cheesy interests like romance and emo bands. Like Beatrice, he really admires his parents and wants to be like them, even if he acts really bratty and spoiled, he genuinely enjoys their company.

Judy: Dearest Judy….Her relationship with her dad is….complicated. At least that's how she sees it. Because her dad is a prankster, she is almost always annoyed by him and his near-constant house traps. Poor girl can't even step into the hallway without getting a bucket-full of water in her head! John is not aware of her extreme distaste for his interests, he thinks it's just teen rebellion or somefin, he's trying his best with her.

Also, some extra info!

if Bea were to die, she would be capable of becoming a rainbow drinker.

Danny, to differentiate between parents, refers to Karkat as "crabdad"!

Harper refers to his mom as also his owner and master

Judy actually does care for her father....their personality just don't match up at all!

Unfortunately, due to his naive nature, Danny ends up more often than not being the butt of the joke, especially by Beatrice...

Typing Quirks:

both judy and harper use lowercase, but! harper's is more animated and haz m ore typing mistakses!!!!!, while judy is more LIKELY TO USE UPPERCASE TO THINGS SHE MIGHT WANT TO EMPHASIZE OR IS NOT PLEASED WITH. >:B

~Beatrice puts a tilde at the beginning of every paragraph. Her sentences are definitely not filled with lots of sarcasm and easy reading. When annoyed her sentences have less punctuation and more urgency to get her point across

DANNY TYPES IN THE TRADITIONAL VANTAS UPPERCASE, BUT HE MAY shift to lowercase if he's trying to impress someone new by appearing nonchalant, or when he's talking to his dads VERY OCCASIONAL USE OF PUNCTUATION. <-!!!!

Hi my name's Erky, and these are my fantroll/ fankids!! I made this ask blog for them for fun and stuff. I'm the only mod but I'll be here as well for difficult questions the kids may not be able to answer. Anyways, here are the rules!!

Rules:

All questions must be Safe For Work. These are CHILDREN. They are 11 years old and younger. They have been drawn as adults before (with the exception of Donny) but for the main story they are minors.

Please do not spam the inbox. Random asks that have nothing to do with the blog will be deleted. Asks that I do not feel comfortable answering will also be deleted.

Some asks may take longer to answer than others, I will try to go in order but it may be a while before some asks are answered, mostly due to how much art I need/want to make for it.

Please be kind in replies and reblogs, not everyone likes the same ship and not everyone has the same head canon. What shows up here are mine!

Though the adults (parents) can make appearances, please keep the focus on the kids!

Iris Maryam-Lalonde is the main character tbh shes ✨️ everything✨️ 🙏🙏

Her dress is made by Kanaya and her sweater was knitted by Rose. Those definitely arent her comfort clothes because her moms made them or anything, that would be silly.

(Also the symbols on her hairband + sleeves are an alpha while the main symbol is an omega :3 )

But yes shes very dear to me and i cant wait to share more of her (ill post my art of iris seperately bc they are bigger pieces alsldld)

BABIES in this AU

After the creation of Universe C, the quantity of children and grubs was too high for the few adults to contain it. Therefore no kid/grub is raised by parents, but rather by the community, with ""orphanages"" built to contain the kids/grubs and carapacians taking care of them.

To take care of them there are also John and Roxy — who do that constantly — Jade and Dave — who have a farm, and contribute with the food — and Rose and Kanaya — who find adults to adopt the kids (as something exceptional; having parents isn't the norm here). The others help more sporadically.

Every couple has their own adopted child:

Rose & Kanaya: Jaiden Maryam-Lalonde

Dave & Jade: Bell, Bark, Doll Strider-Harley [they help with the farm].

John & Roxy: Since they work 24/7 with ALL the kids, they don't really have one, but they're really affectionate to Lars (and Casey OBVIOUSLY).

Jane: As a single mother, she decided to raise Naya and Ashvik Crocker

Karkat doesn't want kids to raise due his culture — he has no idea how to and doesn't want to — but he still helps when he can, mostly on education.

Jake and Dirk keep having a date&breakup situationship, that drives Jake crazy and so they can barely keep up with kids in general — so of course no adoption.

SOME THINGS ABOUT EACH KID (except the babies):

LARS: He's chill and friendly, but this makes him very vulnerable to bullying and mockery. Still, critics rarely reach him as he SEEMS very confident. His interests are mostly fashion and make up. SYLPH OF VOID; Derse.

JAIDEN MARYAM-LALONDE: She's shy and tends to be very servile. She loves writing but no one knows about what. MAID OF LIGHT; Derse. QUIRK: shE makeS capslocK everY lasT letteR oF A worD.

BELL STRIDER-HARLEY: She's the funny kid! Random, cool, the free and childish spirit of the room. She loves flowers and cringey stuff. WITCH OF BREATH; Prospit.

BARK STRIDER-HARLEY: Bullied quiet kid who's actually a sociopath. Bark enjoys mostly making dumb comics (quite guresome ones) and weapons. PRINCE OF SPACE; Dual Dreamer.

ASHVIK CROCKER: Competitive and determinate boy. He loves anything that he can do better than the others, but mostly he found out how much he loves fishing. THIEF OF RAGE; Prospit. QUIRK: his OOs are always dOOuble.

If you care about the babies: Doll is Heir of Life, Naya is Mage of Time.

Who's the oldest to youngest of all your homestuck fankids?

so! harper's the eldest, since duh, jade created him first after months of research and experiments! he and bea are only a few months apart, so even if they're the same age one would still consider harper older than her.

about a year later is judy, who's 13, and then danny! he's 12, but likes saying he's 13 to sound cooler O:<B

if i were to classify their signs it would be something like....leo, virgo, scorpio/sagittarius and cancer, so you can have a bit of a notion of when are their birthdays ;P

For Rosemary’s rename, how about Crocus Cookie? The purple flowers on their headband/bandana even kind of look like stylized crocuses!

Sadly that name is taken by my first ever fankid, the titular Crocus Cookie
