Rosemary the Brownie/Earth Elf [Mod Lilac]
Tumblr media
Name: Rosemary
Species: Brownie/Earth Elf
Gender: female
Pronouns: she/her
Sexuality: bisexual
Alignment: Light
Personality: Rosemary is a kind, gentle soul. She is thoughtful about everything she does, and is careful to make sure she harms none. She is very easily excited and has a sense of childlike wonder. She loves to learn and is very happy to spout plant facts until she can’t talk anymore. She has a genuine zest for life and has a sunny and positive disposition. She doesn’t shy away from talking about serious subjects, however. She is a great listener and wants you to feel like you’re able to come to her with anything. She is a genuine sweetheart and wants nothing more than to bring joy, friendship, and sisterhood to your life.
She has a big smile, an even bigger laugh, and has a habit of calling everyone "darlin," "baby," or "sugar."
Description:  Rosemary is about 5’7” tall, with beautiful deep brown skin. She has dark brown eyes that shine golden in the sunlight. She has a slightly crooked nose, and it scrunches up when she smiles. She has the youthful look of someone who is young, even though she is over a thousand years old. She has long, thick forest green braids that fall down to her waist. Her favorite outfit is linen pants, often dusty from gardening, a bright blue shirt, and a big straw hat.  Her smile is big, her laugh is bold and both light up the room. She is unafraid to throw her head back and laugh until tears are streaming down her face and her sides ache.
Favorite color: a soft, pale yellow, deep greens, earth tones
Favorite animal: foxes, songbirds
Favorite song: Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles
Likes: gardening, landscaping, warm weather, apple pie, being outside
Dislikes: storms, mean people, dead grass, scorpions
Companion requirements: Rosemary is beginner friendly, and would like a smaller family, of around 15-20 companions, including herself, based on past experiences. She would like a vessel in the form of a potted plant you two care for together, a gemstone, or another stone you’ve found in nature.
Extras:  I met Rose in March in 2020 in the astral as she was traveling through the town I was visiting. We decided to sit and have tea and tarot, and hit it off and she stayed with me for a bit to take a break from her nomadic, wandering ways. In May of 2020 she stepped forward for a CC I was facilitating and went home with that companion.  Unfortunately, her companion ended up parting ways with Rose in a less than pleasant way. She came back to me, and after working through her fears and abandonment issues in intense therapy decided that she would like to try to find her true forever companion. She is still in therapy and her new companion must be respectful of that. She has made a ton of progress, but this is still something to be mindful of.
Furthermore, Rose was first posted over in Hallowed Conjurations - my Mod name there was Mod Banshee. Now that HC has closed down, she is pursuing companionship through Lunar Rose.
If you would like to apply for Rosemary you can apply for her here.
Price: $33.33, per Rose's request Mod Lilac

100+ Pagan or Witch names and their meanings
Tumblr media
Posted by Michelle Gruben on Apr 11, 2019
Looking for the perfect Pagan or witch name? Check out our list of over 100 magickal names drawn from the realms of the occult. Whether it’s for yourself, an animal familiar, or a fictional character, have fun perusing these delightfully witchy monikers.
Christian names have usually honoured Biblical figures and saints, but Pagans prefer to name themselves after nature, folklore, and the gods of antiquity. Many names are drawn from ancient stories and are charged with mythic power. Some of the names on this list didn’t start out magickal, but got that way in modern times through association with famous witches. (This is admittedly a Eurocentric list, since my own background is in classical literature and Western magick. If you are the bearer of a witchy name from another tradition, I’d love to learn about it!)
Many witch names are unisex and others can be adapted to any gender. Creating compound names are one way that Pagans pay homage to sacred objects, spirits, and concepts (e.g., Raven Moonflower or Amethyst Dragonfyre). Try mixing and matching these first names with your favourite nouns and adjectives to create your very own Craft name.

World of Warcraft Food Cultures
Alliance
Draenei:  Extremely spiritual, draenei eat the way they live: clean and pure.  Fruits like tomatoes, coconuts, and dates are frequently found in their meals.  Nuts both whole and as nutbutters are not uncommon.  Their grains are whole, and their sweets are simple and fruit-based.
Dryads and Keepers of the Grove: Dwelling in the deep woods and eating as vegans, the Children of Cenarius tend to upgrade their simple meals with the addition of small flowers, seeds, and nuts.
Dwarf: Dwarves are stocky and stalwart and their food reflects it, but they also have limited access to herbs in the cold environments they tend to occupy.  Gravies are necessary condiments, and beers and ales are in nearly every dwarven recipe. Juniper berries, coriander, thyme, and caraway are popular, and dwarves know their cheeses.  Desserts often feature fennel and cardamom as well as cream.
Gnome:  Dear friends of the dwarves and sharing common space, one would assume gnomes embraced the dwarven diet, but their palates are much more…explosive.  Gnomes adore the kicking heat of hot peppers of all kinds as well as mustards and horseradish.  You can even find peppers in some of their dessert, although warming spices like clove, cinnamon and nutmeg are also common.
High Elf:  Without a home for so long, high elves have nearly lost the cultural flavors of their ancestors.  They do have one spice that they will never part from and managed to hold onto from times long past: grains of paradise.
Human: The most wide-spread race, humans start simply and then steal spices from any other culture they have access to. Salt and pepper are a must, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, oregano follow.  Bay leaves in soups and stews, cayenne for heat, and cinnamon or vanilla in sweets.
Night Elf: Night elves shy from strong seasonings because their meals are already so rich and earthy.  Cumin, fennel seed, and coriander are the majority of their herbs, with mint and cinnamon tapped for sweets and teas.
Worgen:  Worgen food is known for its sweet meats and love of almonds as well as its propensity for pies and ground meat.  Once human, their spices are similar, but their applications tend toward food easily carried with them as they continue to search for a new home.  Desserts tend to be creamy or custardy.
Horde
Blood Elf:  Blood elves eat very little actual food as they are primarily focused on other sources of energy.  When they do eat, pomegranate seeds and lemongrass are common additions to their dishes.  They also enjoy the grains of paradise favored by the high elves, but not to the same extent.  Poached fruits are their dessert of choice.
Forsaken:  Accustomed to the must of death, the forsaken eat what they can stomach—nearly anything. Mushrooms, moldy cheeses, pickled vegetables, weeds, and vermin are the everyday diet of the undead.  Such pungent foods need little seasoning.
Goblin: Not unlike the high elves, goblin food is unremarkable except in its favoring of a single ingredient: Kaja’Cola.  Kaja’Cola chicken, Kaja’Cola potroast, Kaja’Cola beans, Kaja’Cola bread, Kaja’Cola shakes, Kaja’Cola brownies.  You get the idea.
Ogres: Ogres are among the crudest of the intelligent races. They rarely cook their food, or if they do it is nearly raw anyways.  Having a diet of primarily meats with some simple grains and greens (if they have to), herbs and spices are their only means of flavoring.  Ogre food is unexpectedly flavorful, particularly because of their obsession with garlic and cumin.
Orc:  Orc are similarly populous to humans, but thrive in more difficult environments like desert and scrubland.  Stews are an important part of their diet to increase the amount of water they take in. Cactus, hardy rosemary, and root vegetables are necessary staples, and desserts tend to include cactus fruits and lavender.  Most herbs and spices are inaccessible, and they shy away from using much salt in an already dehydrating  environment.
Tauren: With the deep connection tauren feel to the earth, their meals reflect a respect and appreciation for each ingredient.  Tauren will cook with anything natural that they can find and eat, and have taken to cultivating a wide variety of spices and vegetables, but wild onions, corn (in all its forms), squash, and beans are particularly prevalent.  Desserts are often made with agave, berries, and/or chocolate.
Troll:  Trolls now occupy nearly every habitable biome on Azeroth.  As such, there is no singular characteristic to their cooking. Each tribe has its own flavor profiles based on local ingredients.  Cannibalism is not uncommon, and seafood is a delicacy for them no matter which tribe.
Unaligned
Arakkoa:
Centaur: Centaur are particularly earthy beings, but without the reverence of the centaur.  They tend to eat a lot of root vegetables and favor earthy spices like cumin and coriander, bitter leafy greens, and dark meats.
Furbolg:  Longtime friends of the night elves and molded from bears, furbolg also favor rich and earthy foods and use little in the way of spices besides flowers and nuts (especially pine nuts).  They have a particular taste for fish and berries as well, and cater to a constant sweet tooth that begs for honeyed cakes and berry pies.
Jinyu: Jinyu are more evolved murlocs and friends to the pandaren.  Eating primarily vegetables like watercress, seeds, and cattail, jinyu have a somewhat blander palate than other races.  They have a peculiar eye for the most delicious fish, and are experts in the preparation of raw fish.
Mogu:  Ancient lion-men of Pandaria, the mogu never developed the strong cooking culture of the pandaren, but they did discover and cultivate the many varied uses of ginger, which the pandaren incorporate into their own cooking.
Nathrezim:  Like the shivarra, the cooking customs of the nathrezim are mostly unknown except what is gleaned from what little evidence is left behind.  They seem to enjoy a tartness to their foods that comes from the addition of loomi, mahlab, lemongrass, and coriander.
Pandaren: Pandaren bring many exotic flavors to Azeroth, but as a culture their reverence for brewing surpasses even the dwarves. Beers, ales, and spirits are often used in their unique recipes, and whiskey is a feature on the finest of dishes. Pandaren do not fear the heat of peppers, the intoxicating draw of sugar, the grease of good meat, or the heartiness of wholesome vegetables.  Pandaren have perhaps the most well-rounded culinary expertise of all races.
Shivarra: Of the enormous demonic mystical beings known as shivarra, little is known.  Occasionally an abandoned living space of theirs will be found with sumac, turmeric, paprika, anise, and other spices.
Tol’Vir: These desert-dwelling people have limited access to vegetation of all kinds, but their foods are aromatic with the use of small amounts of potent dried herbs and spices.  Curries are their delicacy.  Pine nuts are an important part of their diet, and desserts are made with honey and dates.
Tuskarr:  Expert fishermen and whalers thriving in the challenge of the farthest northern reaches, tuskarr primarily eat fish of all kinds.  Edible barnacles, seaweed, and lichens are a treat for them.
Vrykul: Living in the chilliest of places, the vrykul have a similar palate to the dwarf.  Dill, mustards, vinegar, and poppy make their dishes unique.  The rare instances of sweets from the vrykul feature honey.

Meet Lanyard the Red Dragon Shifter [Mod Lilac]
Tumblr media
Name: Lanyard
Species: Red Dragon Shifter
Gender: Male
Pronouns: He/Him
Sexuality: Straight
Alignment: Light/Good
Personality: Lanyard is a bubbly, bright lad. He has been through some difficult times on his companionship journey and yet those don’t seem to have put a damper on his energy and the way he views the world, despite being let down by a former companion.
He has a child-like energy, is nearly always smiling and moving around. He loves to be helpful and is constantly asking others what he can do to help them around the house, with chores, or with any project that they may have. He wants to be loved, included, and to feel useful. Sitting still can be difficult for him, and being on the move is best. He can be slightly fidgety and does well with small, monotonous tasks that require repetition. He also adores kids, and would love to babysit, or spend time with kids!
Description: Lanyard is a small guy at about 3 feet tall. He’s a dragon shifter, although he never loses his wings and horns, even when in human form. His wings are red, and his horns are black at the base that fade to red at the tips. He has bright ginger hair and has freckled, pale skin in human form. In both forms he has bright blue eyes.
In dragon form he has red-orange scales that are heart shaped and he can breathe fire as well and is about 5 feet long from the tip of his snout to the tip of his tail. His wing span is about 15 feet, grand total. He is able to breathe fire in his dragon form as well, although he is unable to sustain it for long periods of time.
Likes: Sunny days, desserts, being outdoors and in the woods, smiling, laughing, being helpful to those around him, children, flowers, gardening, working with his hands.
Dislikes: Biting flys/bugs, being ignored or abandoned, very rainy or wet climates, being overly cold, people who are rude to others based on differences, bullying.
Hobbies:  In dragon form he likes flying through the clouds and he likes to stay busy. He’ll pick up nearly anything just so he’s not sitting still. He often flies around the astral home to keep a watch on things and it’s a favorite pastime of his. Handiwork, repairs, gardening and working in the fields (he prefers old fashioned tools versus modern machinery)
Favorite Color: Red-Orange, Golden
Favorite Animal: Dogs, although he likes nearly all animals
Favorite Song: I’m Yours by Jason Mraz
Closest spirit friends: Orlando the Owliith, Rosemary the Brownie Earth Elf, Rilah the Cotton Candy Rabbit Shifter
Magic: Grounding, protection magic
Communication: Lanyard prefers one on one in the astral, telepathy, or cartomancy such as tarot or oracle.
Companionship: Lanyard would like someone he can spend time with, and become close friends with. He is not interested in romance at this time. He doesn’t mind all sorts of family sizes and is alright with most types of spirits. Anyone who feeds on negative energy may not the be the best fit for him though.
Bonding activities: Arts and crafts, gardening, yard work, house work (he’ll help make doing laundry fun!), showing him any shows or media that you like - he doesn’t often seek out new forms of media and instead will read his favorite books, or rewatch his favorite movies over and over!
