Hi! I’ve been curious about your work and I really wanna read them chronologically. But I’m a mess with timelines so can you please help me out? 😅

Trying to work out the best way of providing a guide without just confusing things further, because I have fics in multiple eras, and not everyone is interested in all of them (which is fine, I get that). 

Pre-Next Gen

1. Sleeping Dragons (founders fic, so chronologically the earliest by a long way)

2. Finding the Light (marauder era, but this one is unfinished and on a long hiatus, because it needs a good rewrite, so you might want to skip it)

That’s just the multi-chaps. I have a marauder era oneshot called A Muggle Thing (set in autumn 1980) and one slightly later one, Birdsong in the Dawn (set in like... 1985?ish?). There’s also The Naturalist’s Assistant, which at the moment exists very much on its own, because it’s a Luna/Rolf story.

Next Gen

You can just jump straight to these if you’re not into the other eras. 

I’m leaving Owl Post to one side, because it covers basically the whole timeline, and is also on hiatus and due a rewrite (there’s stuff in it that contradicts the rest of my timeline). Otherwise, a really rough chronological guide is:

1. Playing with Fiendfyre (This is Teddy/Victoire, and I wrote it a long time ago - it’s the only one of my older next gen fics that’s never been edited, so I’m not that happy with it. It can also easily be skipped, since it doesn’t have so many links with the other fics)

2. House of Cards (multiple pairings, but not romance-centric, set in Rose, Albus and Scorpius’s sixth year. This is a pretty good one to start with, if you want to get to know my Next Gen characters.)

3. These Mortals (also multiple pairings, starts the year after House of Cards)

4. Your World (James Sirius/OC, picks up a few weeks after These Mortals ends)

5. Choices (skips a few years, starts in 2027 with Lily Luna aged 19/20)

6. Inheritance (basically runs alongside Choices, following different Next Gen characters, but will eventually converge with the plot of Choices, and continue it)

My oneshots are just little extras really, but Bank Robberies, Motorbikes, and Other Childhood Games is set in 2015, and If You Were Gay takes place a couple of years before House of Cards.

Goodbye is not the End should only be read after Choices, because it’s essentially an epilogue.
