The most shocking moment of my life was the day I found out that the media viciously body shamed Kate Winslet after Titanic, because I remember watching Titanic for the first time as a kid and thinking that Rose DeWitt Bukater was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my entire life.

I could hardly believe that she was human, because she was so perfect—so ethereal. She looked more like a goddess than a human being. The scene where she posed nude was the exact moment I realized I loved women. I wanted to dye my hair red just so I could look more like Rose. To this day I still have a thing for redheads and I blame Kate Winslet.

If you think Kate Winslet is ugly, you should have your eyes scooped out of their sockets with a melon baller, because you don’t deserve to look upon the face of an angel if you can’t appreciate the radiance of her divine beauty.

Speaking of Titanic one of my fave pet peeves is people seriously thinking that Rose let Jack drown because she would not let him get on the raft. Who cares if he would have fit on it? Titanic isn't the best written story but it's very clear she cared about him. She stayed on a sinking ship to save him, makes no sense that she would willfully let him die 5 min later.

Even at the beginning of the movie, Rose was enamored by art, even when Cal mocked her interest. Her relationship with Jack revealed her need to feel free and live in the moment, and even allowed her a chance to make crazy decisions, such as requesting Jack to draw her naked, a moment she remembered even years later. She notices things a lot of people don’t, such as the low amount of lifeboats on the Titanic.

We see Rose wanting more out of her life, and when Rose sets her mind on something, she doesn’t stop. She wants to be with Jack, and focuses on their relationship for the most part in the movie. Not only this, but Rose has shown an ability to foresee consequences. She sees the life raft situation not working and seems to be the only one who has her doubts.

Her Te shows most when she is most stressed, and as it is her least developed function, it usually doesn’t end well for her. She can be rather decisive, even in moments where she is seen as irrational. I feel like Rose and I would be besties in real life. Even though we come from different backgrounds and cultures there’s a lot about her that I can relate to. Her feelings of isolation at the beginning and not having anyone really 'see her' are feelings that I understand a little too well. On a lighter note her love of art and her taste in art speaks to me as well as her style and love of reading, psychology and studying different cultures! I know that I’m not the only person who feels that way about her which is one of the reasons this movie is so enduring. I took this quiz on Buzzfeed about which Titanic character I was. The results were not surprising:
