my wildest dream is to one day have an actual good vampire academy and bloodlines adaptation but I know I should just give up because unless I make it myself it ain't going to happen at this point. the movie was cringe, the TV show started well but fucked it all up in the last episodes... The books desperately need to be updated by an adaptation making them more modern but the storyline needs to stay the same and the heart of the relationships as well

Honestly still mad that they un-nerdified our boy. Made him interested in biographies or some serious shit, like Dimitri's whole appeal wasn't that he's just some super buff dork doing a permanent low key cosplay of his favourite westerns and cranking 80's love ballads while making heart eyes at his boss-bitch girlfriend.

my favorite way to read VA is to imagine what dimitri’s doing and thinking while rose is existing esp bc before i started doing that i sort of imagined him not doing anything when he’s not interacting w rose. like he’s a ken doll who stays completely still and unmoving whenever he’s not interacting w evil vampire slayer barbie

Dimitri Belikov's impact on the women in these books needs to be studied. I thought it was just Rose's infatuation with the man she loves, but Sydney is also incapable of being around him without bringing up how hot, sexy, and charming he is. Kirova was also all up in his shit over the vests in "Hello, my name is Rose Hathaway". Then I remember how Tasha literally framed Rose for murder to get her out of the way for the chance at him. Like he breaths and someone turns into a slip n slide it's amazing.
