Today's the day the four council boys dreaded the most. It wasn't alien to them that students of Akademi were entranced by the myth of the confession tree at the back of the school, and that many would attempt to have a chance at love by confessing to their crushes on a Friday underneath the cherry blossom tree.
It's also not unusual that a certain girl in their small group was roped into many situations regarding that stupid myth countless times.
No matter how many times the four boys tried to dissuade [Y/n] from accepting random invitations and meet with men underneath the cherry blossom only to reject their feelings, the [h/c]-haired council member is still an adamant girl. That's why, most of the time, the boys can't help but watch over the whole situation from afar, ensuring that no mishap would befall their precious Vice President.
Tumblr media
"That girl really..." a certain blonde sighed, massaging his temple as he held the note in his hand.
After the dismissal of their last class, the five student council members immediately left their respective classrooms to fulfill their duties. If it were any other day, Reiichi would find himself waiting for a while for the other members to slowly file into the room. But today, it seemed that a certain someone already beat him to it.
Hey, Rei-kun! I won't be able to do my duties as usual because of you know what. You don't have to worry about me, I'll make sure to be done in a jiffy and return to the council room afterward. Thankies~ Love, [Y/n]
That was what was written in the paper Reiichi held. Although the male knew that it wasn't unusual for the [h/c]ette to leave notes informing him of such rendevous, he couldn't shake the feeling that she might be getting herself into deep trouble by simply meeting with him.
"Oh, was [Y/n]-chan still not here?" a familiar voice chimed in, followed by a couple of footsteps entering the room.
Reiichi turned around and spotted the three boys. Grunting, he showed them the paper. "She went first to meet with that boy."
Even without explicitly saying the name, the boys knew who their president was pertaining to. The three of them had varied reactions to Reiichi's words — Daisaku clicked his tongue, expression hardening; Ken pursed his lips, a slight crease embedded between his eyebrows; while José's half-lidded eyes stared at the wooden floor.
"So she went straight to the confession tree and met Yudasei, huh?" the black-haired enforcer scoffed, the information leaving a bitter taste in his mouth.
"It appears so," the blonde hummed. Folding the note and putting it inside his pockets, he then faced his members. "We'll focus on doing our duties. For now, let's patrol our designated areas. If anyone sees [Y/n] on the way, inform her to stay and rest in the student council room."
"Understood."
"Mhm."
"Okay."
The three of them nodded. After that brief meeting, the four boys went on to do their designated task for the afternoon — patrolling the school and ensuring that no students were breaking the rules while also keeping an eye out for a certain [h/c]-tressed female.
The boys spent over an hour patrolling the campus, the students noticeably fewer as time went by. Despite their efforts, they hadn't come across [Y/n] yet. Reiichi was growing concerned as the minute passed by, his heart beating with an uncomfortable feeling.
"Has any of you seen her yet?" he asked, gazing over the three council members when they had an unexpected encounter at the plaza.
"Sadly no," Ken shook his head, a frown visible on his face.
Daisaku crossed his arms, pursing his lips in thought. "I've patrolled all floors but I haven't seen a glimpse of [Y/n]. Although I would see [h/c] hair out the corner of my eyes, it was just another random student."
"Same here," the exchange student added. "I haven't encountered her during my outside patrol."
"Hm..." the blonde placed a hand under his chin, a slight shift on his cold facade as he thought. After a moment, Reiichi sighed and nodded back. "Alright, let's continue with our patrol then. We'll cover [Y/n]'s part of the school in her absence."
Once again, the council members parted ways as they did another round of patrol around the campus, this time, including areas that fell under the female's jurisdiction. Worry was gnawing at the edges of their minds, their eyes peeled for any signs of [Y/n]. They questioned passing students, hoping to gather some information about her whereabouts, but to no avail.
However, a glimmer of hope seems to present itself to them. Out of the corner of their eyes, they spotted a particular black-haired student walking away. Their footsteps hastened as they followed Yudasei, the only one who could have the answer to their lingering questions.
"Have you seen [Y/n]?" Reiichi took hold of Jokichi's shoulder, stopping the boy in his tracks. The blonde's expression was a mixture of concern and frustration.
Yudasei seemed taken aback by the confrontation, his aloof demeanor faltering slightly. "I... I haven't seen her."
Daisaku scoffed and took a step forward, glaring down at him. "Come on, man, don't play games. Tell us where she is."
"No, I'm serious. I haven't seen her since I waited for her at the cherry blossom tree," Yudasei gulped, clearly a bit intimidated by the situation. "I swear!"
The boys exchanged puzzled glances.
"Explain," Reiichi demanded, releasing the third year and crossing his arms.
Yudasei took a deep breath, his composure wavering under the intense pressure of each council member's stare at him. "After cleaning time, I went straight to the confession tree. I waited for her for about an hour, but she didn't come. I... I wasn't expecting her to accept my feelings, but I never thought she'd stand me up like that."
This revelation sent alarm bells ringing in the boys' heads. They knew [Y/n] well enough to realize that she wouldn't just stand someone up without a good reason. Something was definitely wrong. Reiichi's mind raced as he processed the information. [Y/n] wouldn't just stand Yudasei up like that unless something urgent came up. His concern for her grew stronger by the minute, and he exchanged a quick look with the other members.
"Tch!"
After gathering this information, they left Yudasei and continued their search for [Y/n]. Dread and anxiety crept through their hearts as they scoured the campus, increasingly worried about her safety. As the sun began to set and their search seemed futile, they made their way back to the student council room, a heavy feeling of unease hanging over them.
"Where could she have been?" the blonde murmured, feeling agitated without seeing the girl since.
"She couldn't have returned to the council room while we were patrolling, could she?" Ken suggested, trying to ease the unsettled atmosphere over them.
The black-haired enforcer shook his head. "No. We know her too well. If she were indeed there, there would be tons of males flocked around by now."
"Mhm. Besides, she is usually the one coming to find us first, isn't she?" José added, rubbing his sleeved arm for a sense of comfort.
"And she couldn't have gone home yet. She won't do that without informing any of us," Reiichi continued, his mind racing with possibilities. With knitted brows and worry swirling in his oceanic pools, he muttered. "Just where on earth are you, [Y/n]?"
As they neared the room, a metallic scent wafted into their senses, growing stronger as they approached. The hall was quiet, devoid of any soul other than the four of them. The orange of the setting sun, once calming and beautiful, added a haunting sense of dread as it enveloped them with its hue.
"Can you smell that?"
"Yeah. Smell like rusted metal."
José and Ken exchanged confused glances, but hearing their conversation, Daisaku and Reiichi immediately recognized what it meant. Eyes wide and hearts racing inside their chest, the two boys burst into the room without hesitation, surprising the other boys.
"Wh—Reiichi-kun?!"
José and Ken trailed close behind them, confused yet alarmed at the two's sudden sprints. The sliding doors to the student council room slammed open, Reiichi's hands gripping each side. The pungent smell of metal was strong and suffocating, and the source was something inside this room.
He had hoped that he was just overreacting, he had hoped that once he opened his eyes, he would find everything to be normal. But reality shattered his hopes like glass hitting the cold, hard floor and their worst fears were confirmed. There, in the center of the room, was a gruesome sight that would forever be etched into their memories.
On the table, lay [Y/n]'s lifeless body, surrounded by a pool of blood. Multiple stab wounds adorned her once vibrant form, her beautiful white student council uniform matted with crimson, the fabric is torn and decorated with thorned roses sticking out from her open wounds. The metallic scent they had picked up on was the scent of her blood, and the realization was enough to send a wave of horror through their veins.
Her once bright, [e/c] orbs were now vacant and dulled. Her complexion paled as her life was taken away from her. Her beauty...stilled.
"No... No, this can't be happening," Reiichi's voice quivered, his legs faltering as he rushed to her side. His hands trembled as he lifted her head, his heart aching at the sight of her lifeless eyes. He whispered her name, a desperate plea as if trying to will her back to life.
Daisaku's fists clenched at his sides, his knuckles turning white. Anguish twisted his features, a mixture of disbelief and rage. Ken and José stood frozen, shock rendering them temporarily incapable of reacting to the horrifying scene before them.
"W-we need to call for h-help. I-I'll get the teacher!" Ken's stammering voice finally broke through the haze that had settled over them. Despite his trembling body, he willed himself to push through the shock. Turning around, he exited the room, running to the faculty as fast as he could.
As the sound of Ken's footsteps disappeared and was replaced by the deafening silence of the room, the realization of what they were witnessing fully sank in. They had lost one of their own, someone they had all cared for deeply. The student council room, once a place of laughter and camaraderie, was now a scene of tragedy.
Reiichi continued to cradle [Y/n]'s lifeless body in his arms, his tears falling onto her cold cheeks. The weight of the situation pressed heavily on his chest, threatening to crush him with the overwhelming grief that consumed him. The pain was indescribable as if a part of his soul had been torn away.
Daisaku's anger surged through him, a fiery rage that burned hotter than anything he had ever felt before. His hands shook as he clenched them into fists, his nails digging into his palms. He stared at the scene before him, his mind a whirlwind of emotions. How could something like this happen? Why had fate been so cruel?
José's usually half-lidded eyes were wide open in shock, his usually calm and collected demeanor shattered. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, couldn't fathom that [Y/n], the girl he had always seen with a smile, was now gone. He felt a knot in his stomach, his heart heavy with sorrow for the loss of a beloved.
As the minutes passed, the room remained silent except for the occasional sound of stifled sobs. The sun had fully set, casting a dim and eerie glow over the tragic scene. Outside, the world continued to move forward, oblivious to the heart-wrenching event that had taken place within those four walls.
Ken returned with a teacher in tow, the older woman's eyes widening in shock as she took in the sight before her. She quickly made a call to the authorities, her voice trembling as she described the situation. The teacher stood beside Reiichi, gently placing a hand on his shoulder as tears welled up in her eyes. She didn't know what to say in the face of such a devastating loss.
Tumblr media
The next day, the school held a somber memorial for the fallen student council vice president. The students were stunned and devastated by the sudden tragedy, and the atmosphere in the school was heavy with grief. Even though it was a Saturday, everyone attended the ceremony, even some of their relatives came to pay respect to the female.
It surely came as a shock to everyone about the occurrence. After all, they didn't expect that the prestigious Akademi would experience such a gruesome incident within its grounds. What's more, it was a horrific murder done to one of the most popular and lovable students in school.
[Y/n] [L/n], the vice president of the student council, was a well-respected and admirable upperclassman. She was kind, compassionate, friendly, and pure. She extends help to every student who needs it. She doesn't discriminate against her peers. And she held a great sense of justice and actively upheld it.
[Y/n] [L/n], a model student and inspiration to all. Although some were envious and jealous of her excellence, popularity, and beauty, everyone will admit that she is on a different level than them. And the only ones who could comfortably and equally stand by her side were those four men.
[Y/n] [L/n]. She wasn't just any student. She wasn't just any girl. In the eyes of those four, she was their goddess. She was everything they hoped for, everything they dreamed of, everything they wanted. That's why, for as long as they live, they made an individual silent vow to never let anyone stain her.
That's how they became her thorns. And she, their rose.
However... not all beauty lasts forever... eventually, all flower has to wither.
The four council members, though devastated themselves, were now even more distant and unapproachable. The memorial ceremony was a blur as they struggled to accept the loss of their friend and colleague — their beloved. Every time a student came and attempted to console even one of them, they would glare at the student, the rage and coldness that brewed within was evident in their piercing stare.
Ken Kyonashima, known for being a humble and friendly secretary of the council, became passive-aggressive. His smile, once held warmth, became a broken smile filled with grief and anger. His once amiable orbs that resembled the setting sun were now distant and dull. Although he refrained from speaking harshly, his words held animosity within, always aimed at the students who approached him, no matter who they were.
After all, it was because of them that this happened.
José Silva, known for being the exotic treasurer of the council, actively avoids anyone who approaches him. His shy and easily-flustered demeanor before, now transformed into a detached facade. His beautiful eyes, reminiscent of a lush forest, were now shielded by a wall of indifference. No longer did he offer his signature awkward yet endearing smiles to the students who admired him. No longer did he respond to anyone who spoke to him.
After all, it was because of them that this happened.
Daisaku Aragaki, known as the reformed enforcer of the council, seems to have reverted back to his delinquent ways. The way he stared down at students who approached him held a challenge in his gaze, daring them to say something that would set him off. His sharp and abyssal eyes, once sources of intimidation, were now even more fearsome. He exuded an aura of danger, making it clear that he wasn't to be trifled with.
After all, it was because of them that this happened.
And there was him... Reiichi Tanaami, the cold yet dependable president of the council. From afar, it doesn't seem like he changed after the incident. He still carried himself with the same air of authority and control. But those who knew him well could detect the subtle shifts in his demeanor. His gaze held a depth of sorrow that wasn't there before, and the lines on his face seemed to have deepened overnight.
Reiichi was struggling to maintain his composure, torn between his role as a leader and the pain of losing someone so dear to him. Unlike the others, he didn't push people away with hostility or avoidance. Instead, he was surrounded by an almost palpable sense of melancholy, drawing an invisible barrier that kept others at a respectful distance.
After all, it was because of them that this happened.
During the memorial ceremony, he stood at the forefront, delivering a heartfelt eulogy that moved everyone present to tears. His words spoke of [Y/n]'s dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to making the school a better place. He described her as a guiding light, someone who inspired him and his fellow council members every day.
The entire time, he had his gaze fixated on a particular couple at the very front of the audience. The pair wept, their ragged cries unrestrained despite his speech. Reiichi, Daisaku, Ken, and José could only observe in silence as [Y/n]'s parents lamented the loss of their beloved child.
If what the four were feeling right now was agonizing enough that nothing could fill the void in their hearts, how much more excruciating the pain would be for the very people who spent all their lives caring for and watching the girl grow up, only to discover that her life was snuff away without warnings in just a day?
Witnessing the raw pain of [Y/n]'s parents made it even more unbearable. The guilt they harbored for not being able to prevent her tragic fate gnawed at their hearts like a relentless storm, tearing away any semblance of peace they might have had.
And yet, despite the efforts he and his members have to uphold themselves, rumors of a murderer on campus circulated, further contributing to the tense and gloomy atmosphere. Amid the memorial proceedings, the four boys struggled to keep their emotions in check, feeling a burning anger at some students' indifferent conversations about [Y/n]'s life and passing.
Unbeknownst to them, a certain female student watched from the shadows, her smirk revealing a sinister satisfaction. She had achieved her twisted goal of removing [Y/n], the one her beloved had a crush on. The price, however, was steep—the shattered hearts of four grieving souls and a school forever scarred by the darkness that had infiltrated its halls.
"Oh, well~ I guess I just need to avoid any of the council members from now on," she tittered, hiding the sadistic smile behind her fist. Her black eyes swirled with madness, pink tinted her cheeks as her heart thumped with a triumphant euphoria. "The only sin you had, dear [Y/n]-senpai, was being the object of interest of my beloved. You should've known not to entangle yourself with other people's affairs. Fufu~"

(14) What Books Are You Reading?
(39) Is There Anything Pink Within 10 Feet Of You?
(84) What Are Three Things You Did Today?

1- Elizabeth Keen - The Black List
Tumblr media
4- Pierce - Captain America : The Winter Soldier
Tumblr media
6- Hanamiya Makoto - Kuroko no basket
Tumblr media
7- Jaha - The 100
Tumblr media
10- Jar Jar Binks - Star Wars
Tumblr media
Bisous

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐎
"Do you really need to meet him? I would rather you not."
[Y/n] whipped her head around, meeting the cold and narrowed gaze of the one and only student council president. His sky-blue hues, although firm, contained an emotion that the female was all too familiar with — concern. Reiichi appeared to be indifferent towards the other students, his cold exterior making him unapproachable yet endearing to some, thus, gaining popularity as the cold-hearted student council president.
Yet, when with her, showed a side of himself that others wouldn't be lucky to witness. In her presence, those descriptions of his facade were nonexistent.
"Why?" she tilted her head innocently, blinking at him in question.
The blonde just sighed. "Just ignore Yudasei's request. It'll be a waste of time."
[Y/n] couldn't help but chuckle, her lips curling up at the corners. "You're so cold, Rei-kun~"
Reiichi's expression tightened, a mixture of concern and frustration playing across his features. The blonde let out an annoyed huff, a crease evident in between his eyebrows. "Why do you even comply with their stupid request to meet up and listen to their monotonous confessions only to reject them?"
The vice president thought for a while, pondering over his words. Reiichi watched as a slight crease emerged in between her brows, her lower lips puckering slightly forward, her [e/c] hues swimming with contemplation and seriousness. If it were any other day, the blonde would smile to himself and call her cute, making her flustered. But, unfortunately, this isn't one of those days.
"You know how I am, Rei-kun. I don't want to be a scumbag and ignore those boys. Even though I don't reciprocate whatever feelings they have for me, properly rejecting them face to face is my sincere way of converting my answer to them," she started, her soft and mellow voice echoing throughout the room. She glanced at the blonde, a somber expression present on her visage. "Those boys, no matter who they are, deserve to be treated equally and with respect. They needed a proper response rather than being ignored by someone."
Despite fully understanding what she meant behind those words, the blonde president still refused to acknowledge it. After all, nothing good comes from interacting with those kinds of people.
"I swear that you'll get in trouble with your personality," he groaned, face-palming.
[Y/n] simply chuckled. "You should've known what you're getting yourself into when you allowed me to join the council. This is what you're stuck with~"
Bam!
"Wha—?! Hey!"
Out of the blue, Reiichi had moved in on the girl and slammed his hand on the wall behind her, trapping her in between him and the wall. Her [e/c] hues were wide in initial shock at the occurrence, her heart also skipping a beat and racing afterward. After a moment, she regained her composure and glared hard at the male, her intensity matching his hard, cold expression.
As she was about to open her mouth to scold him, however, the blonde council president beat her to it.
"Promise me..." he started, voice soft as his cold visage began melting away. "...That you're going to be careful when meeting him."
[Y/n]'s irritation softened as she stared into Reiichi's eyes, now devoid of their usual coldness. His concern was palpable, even though he tried to mask it behind his stern facade. Her lips curved into a warm smile, her [e/c] eyes softening in response to his genuine worry.
"Rei-kun," she said gently, her voice carrying a reassuring tone. "I appreciate your concern, but you know I can handle myself. I have the pepper spray with me all the time and I know a bit of self-defense as well.."
The tension between them seemed to ease as Reiichi's grip on the wall relaxed. He looked down, his blonde hair falling slightly over his forehead as his shoulders slumped, almost as if he was releasing a heavy burden.
"I know you're strong and capable, [Y/n]," he admitted, his voice holding a hint of vulnerability that was rare for him to show. "But it still worries me. I can't help it."
[Y/n] reached up and gently placed her hand on his cheek, her touch warm against his skin. "I know, Rei-kun. And I appreciate your concern more than you know. But you have to trust me too. I won't let anything happen that I can't handle."
Reiichi's sky-blue eyes met hers, and for a moment, they seemed to communicate without the need for words. He let out a sigh, his tense shoulders relaxing further under her touch. "Fine, but promise me that if things ever get uncomfortable or if you feel unsafe, you'll call me immediately."
[Y/n] nodded with a soft smile. "I promise."
"Good," he exhaled, a gentle smile instantly sporting his lips. His large hand tenderly patted her [h/c] locks, slow and filled with affection. "Your safety is important as well. I only wanted to make sure you're unharmed."
"Geez... I swear you and the others are so overprotective of me," she playfully rolled her eyes. Nonetheless, the girl savored that intimacy and closed her eyes, cheeks tinted pink with a small smile gracing her lips.
He leaned in slightly, his forehead gently resting against hers. "You're too stubborn for your own good."
She chuckled softly. "And you're too protective for yours."
A small, genuine smile tugged at the corners of Reiichi's lips. He straightened up, giving her a mock glare. "Don't get used to seeing that side of me."
[Y/n] laughed, the sound light and melodious. "Oh, I won't, Mr. Ice Cold Council President~"
He rolled his eyes playfully, but there was a warmth in his gaze that hadn't been there before. "Just... be careful, okay? I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you."
"I will," she assured him, her voice soft but resolute.
With a final nod, Reiichi stepped back, allowing [Y/n] to move away from the wall. The atmosphere between them had shifted, their connection deepening as they faced the challenges ahead together. They both knew that their roles as student council president and vice president were important, but what was even more precious was the bond they had forged beyond those titles.
As [Y/n] turned to leave the room, Reiichi's voice stopped her. "And [Y/n]?"
She turned back to him, her gaze curious.
A hint of a smile played on his lips. "If you ever need any help, you know where to find me."
Her heart swelled with warmth, and she nodded, her smile matching his. "I'll keep that in mind."
With that, [Y/n] left the room, her steps light and confident. Reiichi watched her go, his concern still lingering but tempered by a newfound trust in her abilities. And yet, deep inside Reiichi's heart, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something might go wrong with tomorrow's meeting. Like the calm of the storm, an uneasiness settled over him, tugging at the corners of his mind despite his best efforts to dismiss it.
"I hope she won't get roped into another undesirable situation," he murmured to himself, sighing afterward.

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐋
It was lunchtime. By now, a lot of students would be loitering around the halls. Some would be eating in front of their club rooms, others would be at the central plaza, while those who refuse to mingle with others would be by themselves in a secluded place. But for a particular duo, they were instead spending the rest of their lunchtime in the library.
A young man with short, peachy hair and a young woman with [h/l], [h/c] hair sat next to each other in the spacious library. Although the room may be small, it was undoubtedly not a liked place by most of the student body. That's why these two would usually hang out in the library to avoid students often coming up to them out of random. This is also their go-to location beside the student council room.
On the table in front of these two students were some books. The peach-haired male was writing something in his record book, some papers scattered next to him as his eyes darted from the notes to his writing. While the girl next to him was reading a book in silence, often stealing glances in his direction to see his progress.
"Hah..." the [h/c]-haired woman sighed, slouching over the table. Her cheeks were pressed against the wood and her half-lidded eyes were staring at her companion.
"What's the matter, [Y/n]-chan?"
A slight pout emerged on her lips. "It's been a while since our last outing... Do you think we could hang out again, Ken-kun?"
"Of course, let's inform Reiichi-kun," Ken smiled, orange eyes softening at her.
The young woman giggled, making her companion elicit a soft chuckle at her cuteness, red spreading across the boy's cheeks. After, Ken resumed his task while [Y/n] raised her head from the table and fixed her hair. Her attention then shifted toward something else that caught her eye.
Just outside the library was a group of students loitering around, some familiar heads peeking inside. The student council vice president could hear their mumbling from where they are in the library, and even notice the love-struck expression of all the girls aimed at a certain male.
She hummed, the corner of her lips curving upward as she glanced at Ken. "You're really popular, aren't you, Ken-kun?"
"What do you mean?" he asked, sparing her a confused glance.
"Look at those fangirls you have outside the library," she nudged her head in the direction of the door, proving her point. "Though I didn't expect for them to be standing around outside... I might reprimand them later..."
The peach-haired boy paused his work. His lips were pursed and his eyes fixated only on his female companion. Although [Y/n]'s words were simple in themselves, Ken was still oblivious to what she meant by that. Well, it's not like he was paying them any mind — after all, there's only one girl in the school that he's giving his full attention.
Though he doesn’t know why she said such things, his gaze followed after hers. A slight frown immediately appeared on his lips upon seeing a few male students trying to take a peek at the [h/c]-haired student council.
"There are some boys staring at you too," he mentioned, though the tone of his voice was anything but happy.
"Mhm," [Y/n] hummed, nonchalantly shrugging her shoulders as if saying that she already knew that fact before focusing back on her reading.
Observing the [h/c]-tressed student for a few more minutes, Ken's lips sported a frown, a slight crease between his forehead. The aloof way his fellow student council member responded to his comment made his heart churn. He gazed back at the entrance to the library, still seeing more males lingering around.
"I don't like it."
[Y/n] hummed. "What is it?"
"I don't like any other boys looking at you," the male firmly said, surprising her. "Especially when it's not me or the guys in the council."
"Oh? Why's that?" a smirk played on her lips, giving him her full attention. Her [e/c] hues glinted with amusement, staring expectantly at Ken.
"I don't want you getting distracted by their stares. I want you to focus only on the important stuff."
"Well, I guess you're right," she hummed again. "Don't worry, I'll completely ignore them."
Ken's frown deepened. "That won't do. We need to move to a more secluded place so that they won't have a chance to look at you."
"Where?"
"In the council room where no one can interrupt us," he smiled sweetly, a pink blush spreading across his fair cheeks.
"Alright then," [Y/n] chuckled.
The girl then stood up from her seat. She placed a bookmark on the page she left before closing her novel. Ken also fixed the documents he was working on earlier, getting ready to vacate the library in favor of a more quiet area where watching eyes wouldn't follow them. Once they were done, they proceeded to leave the room.
"Please excuse us," the [h/c]-haired student council vice-president softly said to the crowd outside the door, showing them her sweet smile.
As expected, the male students flushed bright red upon hearing that. Most of them could only stare at her beauty, dumbfounded as they unconsciously made way for the two council members to walk through. With that, the two students stepped out of the library, heading to the council room. As soon as Ken opened the door to the council room, the noise of chatter became apparent. It wasn't loud, but it wasn't silent either.
He made sure to lock the double doors so that none of them would try to open the sliding doors to take a peek and even drew the curtains closed. Ken let out a huff of satisfaction, a smile gracing his lips. Turning on the light to illuminate the dim room, he then placed his documents on the council table, setting them aside.
[Y/n] was already seated at her usual spot, ready to return to her reading. The peach-haired male sat next to her, bringing his chair even closer.
"You're not gonna finish your work?" she puckered her lips, tilting her head in curiosity.
"I think a little bit of break would be fine," he chuckled, his expression softened as he lovingly stared at her. "Besides, I'm curious about the book you're reading."
[Y/n]'s face lit up, her eyes sparkling. "I knew you'd be interested in this soon enough~ This is a romance fantasy titled 'Dreamscape'."
"Is it related to the previous book you were reading?" he asked, pointing at the cover of the book. "The cover seems similar to the other one."
"Oh, it's because it's part of a collection. Dreamscape is the 7th installment in the Nightbringer series," [Y/n] explained, the excitement in her tone obvious.
Ken can't help but listen attentively to the girl’s excited ramblings, a permanent smile plastered on his lips. When she starts speaking about something related to literature, he finds himself captivated by it. The way her [e/c] orbs sparkle and the way her voice flows in such an elegant manner just makes him feel so warm within. The way the light bounces off her [h/c] hair made him want to reach out and caress her hair with his fingers. Even her cute smile captivated him.
The way she talked about the story she was describing, and how her nose scrunches when she gets an exciting part to explain to him... All of these things combined into something that captivated him beyond description. And now he finally has an opportunity to experience it firsthand.
Butterflies erupted from within his stomach, fluttering and flying around inside. He felt a strange warmth spread throughout his entire being, something akin to giddy laughter bubbling in his throat. He blinked a few times, clearing the sudden dizziness that had suddenly overcome him. Nevertheless, he found himself falling more and more for this particular girl.
And that's how the two of them enjoyed the remainder of their lunch chatting with each other about literature and bonding over things that they both love.

"What's that in your hand, [Y/n]?"
"Huh?" Whipping her head around at the sudden voice, the girl was met with the black-haired council member.
His onyx hues narrowed, gaze fixed on the white envelope with a pink heart seal as if piercing through it. Lips pursed thin, he strode towards the vice president sitting by the table. Wordlessly, he leaned over her shoulder and snatched the item from her grasp without warning.
"Hey! Dai-kun!" [Y/n] exclaimed, her brows creasing at the boy's rude actions.
Ignoring her words, he instead blankly stared at her fuming visage. "You haven't read this yet, have you?"
"Of course, I haven't! You took it from me," she huffed, cheeks puffed, and her [e/c] orbs glared at him. "I just received it today from Yudasei-san."
"Yudasei...?" upon hearing the male's name, Daisaku's eyebrow twitched. His face soured and a low grumble escaped his lips.
"Anyway, give it back!" taking advantage of the male's trance, [Y/n] snatched the love letter back.
"Why do you keep accepting love letters from idiots?" Daisaku let out a low growl, crossing his arms. His gaze was as stern as ever, narrowed eyes fixated on the item in [Y/n]'s hold.
"That's not nice, Dai-kun," she reprimanded, lips frowning while straightening the creases on the love letter. "Confessing your feelings to someone doesn't make you an idiot."
The raven-haired man snorted, murmuring under his breath. "...It does when they're confessing to you..."
"Did you say something?"
"Nothing."
After a quick inspection of the grumpy black-haired council member, [Y/n] shrugged off Daisaku's eventual sulking and opened the letter.
The vice president and only female of the student council is very famous among the male population, even having a few female admirers and, undoubtedly, jealous haters. Ever since she was chosen for this role at the academy, love letters flooded her shoe locker, and every male would swoon at her whenever she passed by.
It disgusts Daisaku. No—scratch that. It disgusts the boys in the student council.
The way that a nobody lay their eyes on her... The way that their expressions contorted into lovesickness... The way that they can't take their eyes off her... The way they'd beg for the chance to speak with her... The way they would always act like fools because of her...
When given the chance, those hyenas would jump right at the moment to be noticed by [Y/n]. They'd shower her with gifts, hold her hands, and even attempt to court her. They'll go so far as to even ask her out on a date or call her by a ridiculous pet name. How dare could a mere peasant like them have the audacity to confess to their goddess?!
He can't stand it. He hates seeing them fall for her. It makes him sick to his stomach. And if Daisaku had anything to say about it, that was exactly what he would do too. So he wouldn't allow another guy to get close to her. That includes Yudasei.
"So?" he spoke up after a few minutes of silence. His narrowed eyes still glaring daggers at the letter in the girl's hold. "What does this guy say?"
[Y/n] leaned against the chair, placing the letter on the table. She arched her back and her head leaned back against the edge of the furniture. Her [e/c] hues instantly met with Daisaku's onyx ones as the man stared down at her. Blinking a few times, the girl then graced a sweet smile.
This act caught Daisaku off-guard. He felt his heart thump hard against his chest, cheeks flushing pink as butterflies swirled in his stomach.
"Yudasei-san asked me to go to the cherry blossom tree at the back of the school on Friday. You know, the usual," she responded, shrugging in the process.
"Hmph. I see that those idiots have no creativity," he scoffed. "You really shouldn't waste your time on these fools. They're nothing but a bothersome distraction."
An admonishing sigh escaped the girl's lips. "Dai-kun..."
"Alright, fine. I won't say another word," Daisaku relented with a heavy sigh.
A small smirk tugged at a certain [h/c]ette's lips as the corners of her eyes crinkled. She knew how much he hated people who were persistent in pursuing her. Especially those who tried to woo her. Nonetheless, seeing him actively grumpy made her heart swell. Daisaku wasn't the very sociable person she knew in the council. Same with a particular blonde. However, compared to the stoic president, the raven-haired student would showcase expressions that only she was fortunate enough to witness. And she was glad she got to tease the former delinquent.
The chair screeched against the floor as she stood up from her seat. She ignored the letter on the table, her attention solely on him as she approached. Daisaku shot her a questioning look, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Before the ravenette could speak, however, the woman gave him a cheeky grin, a light blush dusting her features.
"Come on, Dai-kun~" she cooed, lightly tugging at the end of his long sleeves. "Let's get some ice cream, so you can cool that head of yours~"
"I'm not hotheaded," he rolled his eyes. Nonetheless, a minuscule smile graced his lips as his expression softened.
"Teehee~"
Daisaku couldn't help himself from grinning widely at the sight before him. With her [h/l] [h/c] locks gently framing her head, her [s/c] complexion tinged with a hint of pink, the crinkle at the corner of her half-lidded eyes, her mesmerizing [e/c] pools that contained a glimmer of childlike enthusiasm, and her soft, pink lips upturned into a tender smile... The male can't help the feeling of butterflies swirling in the pits of his stomach. All that he could think of was how she looked positively radiant.
Like a charm, just admiring this particular girl washed all of his negative emotions away. Like he wasn't even troubled by the love letter that arrived earlier. [Y/n] was his salvation — his light that guided him on the right path. And to repay the kindness she had shown him, Daisaku vowed that no one and nothing could ever stain his angel.
"You're acting really childish right now," he mentioned, placing both hands into his pockets like he always does. "Are you sure that you're my senior?"
[Y/n] raised a brow, and a knowing smirk played on her lips. "Oh? Is that a sarcastic remark I hear?"
"Who knows," he shrugged, reciprocating her expression. "You decide how to perceive my words."
"Touché," she giggled, feeling lighthearted by the quick banter between them. "Alright! Time to get some ice cream!"
The two council members exited their room and proceeded to the school cafeteria. Since it was after school, a lot of students were engaging in their club activities or already on their merry way home. That means that Daisaku doesn't need to worry about boys flocking around [Y/n] in this given hour. Nonetheless, as long as he is with her, he will make sure that not a single zealot will come near her.
After acquiring their desired flavor of coned ice cream, the two council members went on their merry way toward the outdoor cafeteria. This is the two's usual hang-out spot since none of the students really fancy frequenting a place near the delinquents. Nonetheless, Daisaku was more than happy to call this particular place in school his special place. Especially since he could bring her here whenever he wanted and no one would dare to disturb their peace.
"You're such a messy eater," the ravenette exhaled, witnessing the corner of the girl's lips speckled with ice cream residue. "Here, let me wipe it for you."
Before he could reach out for her with a napkin in hand, [Y/n] instinctively avoided him. Daisaku blinked in surprise and paused, confused at her reaction. However, a quick look at her pouting lips and furrowed brows immediately made sense to him.
"Do you really have to do this, [Y/n]?"
"It'll be such a waste if you wipe off the ice cream!" she stuck her tongue out to him, before licking the said residue off the corner of her lips.
After she did so, Daisaku took this chance to finally wipe her lips. "Even so, you still need to wipe it or else it'll be sticky later on."
"Fine, fine~"
A minuscule smile emerged on his lips at that, his fair cheeks dusted with pink. Returning to his seat, he slowly ate his ice cream while watching the girl in front of him happily gobble down the said treat. His expression softened as butterflies slowly fluttered in his stomach, and his heartbeat drummed in a fast yet steady rhythm.
"Dai-kun?"
"Hm?"
"Can I have a taste of your ice cream?" the way her face flushed when asking the question and her expression turned shy made the boy's heart skip a beat.
He averted his blooming face away, carefully pushing the ice cream cone in her direction. "Do what you want..."
"Hehe~ Thanks, Dai-kun!" [Y/n] cheered, happily taking a large bite of his ice cream before savoring the cold goodness.
"No problem."

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐘 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓
The afternoon sun bathed the student council room in a warm golden glow as José and [Y/n] sat at a table, surrounded by stacks of textbooks and notes. José was hunched over a Japanese grammar book, his brow furrowed in concentration. He ran his fingers through his short, wavy, dark brown hair, pushing it away from his olive-green eyes as he attempted to decode the complexities of the language. On the other side of the table, [Y/n] was flipping through a Portuguese textbook, her expression equally focused.
"Okay, Joze-kun," [Y/n] said, pointing at a sentence in his book. "This construction here is used to express future actions. It's similar to how we use 'will' in English."
José nodded, trying to wrap his head around the concept. "Got it. So, 'Watashi wa ashita gakkou ni ikimasu', right?"
[Y/n] smiled, impressed by his pronunciation. "Exactly! You're getting the hang of it. Now, let's move on to the next section."
Despite being a recent exchange student from Brazil, the female was impressed by José's learning capabilities. It hasn't been that long since he started the school here, and yet he already garnered the attention and affection of most female students due to his exotic looks. Furthermore, his skills with numbers earned the attention of a certain blonde and he offered a spot in the council for José.
Of course, the [h/c]-haired vice president was more than happy to have another member to help out with council duties, and to have someone coming from a different country to study here. Despite having an avid curiosity about the cultures of other countries, [Y/n] was not able to research and learn more about the outside world. But since José came along, she was glad that they were able to bond over a simple study session like this.
As they continued studying, [Y/n] couldn't help but notice José's occasional struggles. Whenever he stumbled over a word or concept, he would furrow his brows even more, his light brown skin gaining a faint flush of frustration. She found it endearing how he was putting so much effort into learning her language, her visage softening significantly.
"Ugh, this is so difficult," José muttered, running his hand through his hair again. "I never thought learning Japanese would be this tough."
[Y/n] chuckled softly. "It's okay, José-kun. Learning a new language takes time and practice. You're doing great."
He smiled appreciatively at her words. "Thanks, [Y/n]. You're really patient with me."
"No problem," she replied, reaching over to pat his hand reassuringly. "We're friends, remember?"
José's heart skipped a beat at her touch, and he cleared his throat, attempting to regain his composure. "Right, friends."
They continued their study session, their laughter and the rustling of papers filling the room. In between explaining Japanese grammar rules, [Y/n] took the opportunity to learn a few Portuguese phrases from José. He patiently taught her how to say "hello," "thank you," and a few other useful expressions, his voice soft and warm.
"Alright, [Y/n], repeat after me: 'Olá, como você está?'"
She repeated the phrase after him, her pronunciation a bit clumsy but improving with each attempt. José's smile widened, and he couldn't help but find her efforts adorable. As the study session progressed, José's nervousness began to show. He'd mix up Japanese and Portuguese phrases in his sentences, causing [Y/n] to raise an amused eyebrow.
She teased him gently. "You're really keeping me on my toes, Joze-kun. I didn't know 'obrigado' was a Japanese word."
José's cheeks turned a shade of red that matched his hair. "Ah, sorry! It's just, sometimes my brain gets all tangled up."
[Y/n] laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "It's okay, Joze-kun. Your little language mix-ups are actually quite cute."
His embarrassment deepened, and he looked down at his textbook, trying to hide his face. "C-cute? I-I mean, thank you."
As she stopped her teasing right then, José eventually managed to calm his nerves. He found himself entranced by [Y/n]'s focused expression as she read the Portuguese textbook he had brought. Her brow furrowed slightly, and she chewed on her lower lip in concentration.
Seeing her like this, José's heartbeat quickened. He felt a warmth spreading through his chest, a feeling he couldn't quite put into words. He had always admired [Y/n] from a distance, her determination and kindness shining through in everything she did. But now, sitting across from her, getting to know her better, he couldn't ignore the fluttery sensation in his stomach.
As [Y/n] looked up from the textbook, she caught José's gaze fixed on her. The way her [e/c] hues sparkle with such life and softness entranced him. Their eyes locked for a moment, and he quickly averted his gaze, his heart pounding in his chest. He felt a rush of embarrassment at being caught staring, but he couldn't deny the sense of admiration that had been growing in him.
Time seemed to stretch, and José's mind wandered to the short span of time he had spent with [Y/n]. He thought about how she had welcomed him into the student council with open arms, how she had patiently explained the intricacies of the student council's activities and the school's traditions. He remembered her laughter, her kindness, and the way she made everyone around her feel at ease.
"[Y/n], I—" José began, his voice barely above a whisper.
Before he could finish his sentence, [Y/n] smiled warmly at him. "You're doing great, Joze-kun. I'm really impressed with your progress."
José smiled back, his embarrassment fading as he focused on her words. He realized that he didn't need to say anything at that moment; just being with [Y/n] and sharing this study session was enough to make his heart race and his cheeks flush. He was grateful for the opportunity to get to know her better, to be a part of her world even if just for a little while.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the room, José and [Y/n] continued their study session, surrounded by the soft hum of their laughter and the promise of a newfound connection.
