I hope Princess Peach Showtime sells well.

Not only because it could lead to Peach getting her own spin-off series of games rather than just a one-off (something that I think is long overdue), but it could also lead to Nintendo having more faith that Mario's female leads can carry games by themselves, which in that case...

Here's my idea for a Rosalina game.

Feel free to steal this random Nintendo employee who might be reading this:

1 - The Genre

If this game were to ever happen, I'd want it to stand out from Super Mario games so it wouldn't seem redundant, so it would not be a platformer. It wouldn't be a sports game, minigame collection, or puzzle game either. It would be a subgenre that the Mario franchise has yet to dip its toes into.

I want Rosalina's solo game to be a Space Action RPG that emphasizes real time combat.

Not turn-based, like Paper Mario or Mario and Luigi, etc. I imagine it would play a lot like Kingdom Hearts, just swap out a keyblade for Rosalina's wand:

She could shoot beams of light at enemies for long range attacks, levitate them with her wand only to slam them on the ground, create a comet shower to rain down on enemies, manipulate gravity to deflect their attacks or slow their attacks down, briefly create a force field around herself to shield herself from an attack, emit extremely bright light from her wand to temporarily blind enemies to stun them, use her Grand Star final smash as a spell, maybe for some attacks she just outright uses her wand like a sword, etc. There are so many spells they could either make up or take from her previous appearances that she could use for her moveset. She wouldn't even have to be limited to using her wand! She could do the spin from Galaxy/her spin from 3D World as an close range attack, teleport to short distances away to dodge an enemy, fly, briefly become intangible, etc. Reminder, she has already been shown to be able to do most this stuff anyway!

Of course she wouldn't have all these abilities at the start, she'd unlock different spells and abilities throughout the game as you gain more exp by defeating enemies.

The main collectible and currency of the game would, of course, be Star Bits. The can be used to buy items (healing items, alternate costumes, etc) or to...actually I'll mention the other function later. Star Bits can be found lying around on every planet (as can other various items that can help you during gameplay) and be gained by defeating enemies.

Each level would be a different planet, and the Comet Observatory would act as the hub world as it did in Super Mario Galaxy, and would be used to travel to each planet. Perhaps there could be minigames between each planet where you fly through space controlling the Comet Observatory whilst collecting Star Bits along the way? Eh, I'm not sure. It sounds fun but maybe it'd be simpler to just travel to planets like how Mario did in Galaxy.

I imagine each planet would have a certain number of missions to complete on it before you can move to the next planet. Maybe their could be side-missions too, but they wouldn't be compulsory unless you want to 100% the game. At the end of each mission, you have the choice to return to the hub world (for a reason I'll explain later) or to just move on to the next mission. If you do choose to return to the hub world before you completed every mission on that planet, you can continue from where you left off later and would not have to re-do any missions you had completed on that particular planet so far. What would each mission involve? Well...

2 - The Premise

I think Ubisoft owns Cursa but they would be the perfect antagonist for Rosalina. Mario has Bowser, Luigi has King Boo, Wario has Captain Syrup, Peach now has Grape, so why not let Rosalina have her own nemesis? I know Cursa seemingly died at the end of Sparks of Hope but Cursa is literally made of a fragment The MegaBug so perhaps the same thing has happened again, a fragment of Cursa survived and mutates into a new form. I'm also aware Sparks of Hope isn't canon and likely takes place in a different universe than the one the mainline Mario games take place, but Cursa is a mutant cosmic entity, it wouldn't be so hard to believe it could travel to different universes. Cursa would still remember the events of Sparks of Hope, and seek revenge on Rosalina and rid the universe of all lumas. She would create a new army (of both her own creation and possessed aliens) she would send to capture all lumas.

If Cursa is the villain, the game starts with her making a direct attack on the Comet Observatory. Cursa attempts to possess Rosalina again, but Rosalina reacts quickly and creates a force field to protect herself. Cursa then orders her army to go after the lumas. Realising there's no time to fight each army member one-on-one, Rosalina gets in front of the lumas, briefly puts down her shield, and readies her wand to unleash a huge blast of light and energy to blast most of the army off into space. But Cursa strikes her just as she does so, and the clash causes a bigger, more unstable blast, that sends both Cursa, her army and the lumas away. Rosalina is left injured and soon passes out.

Cursa and her army would survive the blast and still be out there, in search of lumas.

Either do that or just have some new bad guy (preferably one who uses dark magic/symbolises dark matter to contrast Rosalina's star/light aesthetic) kidnap lumas. I don't really care what their name would be, but for the sake of this post let's call them...Void (placeholders don't have to be creative, shush). I'm gonna refer to Void with he/him pronouns but I don't have any specific gender in mind for Void. Void could be female, or genderless, etc.

As for Void's plan, maybe he could plan to absorb half of the lumas for energy so he'd become powerful enough to destroy the universe (except for the rest of the captured lumas), and then would force the other half to transform into whatever he wants (essentially, his plan is to remake the universe so he can rule it). He too would have an army, but of his own creation. Rosalina, naturally, would be the one to stop him given that it's basically her duty, not only because she's the mother of the lumas but also because she's the protector of the cosmos.

If Void is the villain, he (along with his army) would attack the Comet Observatory in the beginning instead. Void would not have to power to possess people, but he can absorb the energy of others. Void would go for the lumas first but Rosalina, in an attempt to protect the lumas, gets in the way and creates a force field around both her and the lumas. Void relentlessly attacks the force field in an attempt to break it, but it's no use. Despite this, Rosalina can tell Void won't give up, so she teleports outside the force field and the two battle, meanwhile Void's army attempt to break down the force field. It doesn't break but as the battle continues it does start to weaken. An unstable blast is caused in a similar way it's caused with Cursa; Rosalina readies a blast of light and energy (since it's one-on-one this one isn't as big), Void also tries to hit her but with a blast of darkness instead of light (something like a shadow blast), and when the attacks clash it sends the lumas and the army flying.

Rosalina and Void are left alone. Rosalina's tired but not severely injured. She's concerned about the lumas but Void, enraged by what has just occurred, manages to catch her off guard due to her fatigue and grabs hold of her to absorb her energy. This leaves Rosalina weakened and she passes out. Void leaves to search for his army and lumas.

The opening would be the in-universe justification as to why she lacks certain abilities (like the spin, teleportation, etc) at the start of the game (I imagine she'd be able to levitate herself and other people or objects, but that's it).

I don't have an entire story planned out, but basically Rosalina will eventually regain consciousness, manage to track down whoever the villain is (it's her job to watch over the cosmos, and with the Comet Observatory this is not a difficult task) and follows them in their search for lumas. She'll regain her energy (and hence the rest of her powers) as the game progresses. She loves the lumas dearly, and won't give up until she's saved every single one!

On each planet, some lumas are on the run from the army, and some have already been captured are guarded by the army, waiting for Cursa/Void to arrive so they can hand them over. Captured lumas are kept frozen in ice crystals found all over each planet in the game.

This is where those missions come in. For most missions, the objective is to save a specified amount of captured lumas, but some missions might be "Defeat [X] amount of enemies" or "Collect [X] Star Bits" or "Find/Go to [X]", etc. Side-missions could be escort missions where you help escort a citizen of that planet get to where they want to go safely whilst protecting them from enemies, or finding a stolen item and returning it to an NPC you've interacted with.

3 - The Hero(es)

The only playable character is Rosalina BUT you can have two lumas in your party as partner characters at a time (they're kind of like Rosalina's Donald and Goofy), and they'd work similarly to how Sparks of Hope handles the Sparks. The lumas would float beside Rosalina at all times during gameplay like the one in Mario Kart Wii.

After completing each world (or at least the first 10), one luma can be added to your party once you've saved them.

Polari is the first saved luma that can join your party, then a Yellow Luma, Red Luma, Green Luma, Blue Luma, Pink Luma, Hungry Luma, Lumalee, Comet Tico, and finally Lubba.

Some lumas have abilities they perform themselves , and some simply have effects on gameplay but don't do anything during battle. So for example:

(Abilities)

Polari can periodically turn into a small black hole that sucks in enemies.

Yellow Luma transforms into a Launch Star that Rosalina can use to launch herself further away than teleporting would, and can be used as a method of attack to dash through enemies with.

Blue Luma can transform into a small ice comet that will freeze enemies temporarily if they make contact with it.

Lumalee can grab items (except for star bits) from afar without Rosalina having to do it.

Hungry Luma can collect star bits from afar without Rosalina having to do it.

(Effects)

If Red Luma is in your party Rosalina will take less damage from attacks.

If Green Luma is in your party the duration of time Rosalina's force field can stay up during gameplay is extended.

If Pink Luma is in your party Rosalina will regain some of her HP when her health falls below 20% her total HP (but only 3 times per mission).

If Comet Tico is in your party the Cosmic Spirit, a clone that can help Rosalina in battle, will appear when her health falls below 20%.

If Lubba is in your party, the power of Rosalina's attacks is increased.

All lumas can be flung at enemies like Rosalina does with Luma in Smash, although here the power of this move depends on each individual luma's size.

You would only be able to swap out party members in the hub world, which is why there's an option to go back there at the end of each mission. Lumas can level up either by gaining exp whilst accompanying Rosalina in battle or by being fed star bits (see? I didn't forget about the other function!)

(Bonus) - Alternate Costumes?

I mentioned earlier that perhaps star bits could be used to buy alternate costumes. They could just be for aesthetic purposes, but I think it would be cool if each costume altered Rosalina's moveset.

Some costumes I have in mind are:

Cosmic Spirit

In this form, in addition to her usual moveset Rosalina can possess enemies, and maybe even the lumas so you can play as them. However, she is slower and cannot teleport.

Guitarist Rosalina

In this costume, in addition to her usual moveset, she can produce shockwaves when she strums her guitar as an attack, swing her guitar at enemies (like an axe), and moves at a faster speed, but she takes more damage than usual from attacks and cannot do her spin. Although I'd replace the guitar in the picture with the one she has in artwork for 3D World's soundtrack.

Young Rosalina

This costume would majorly alter Rosalina's moveset, so no using her wand, no teleporting, no flying, and her spin is weaker. It would essentially be a hard mode. I imagine her moveset in this costume would be more hand-to-hand combat focused. Perhaps she'd jump on some enemies as a nod to Super Mario games, maybe she could throw starbits as an attack, etc.

I'd rather Rosalina not use power-ups on this adventure (to keep this game distinct from other games in the Mario franchise), so no Fire Rosalina, Cat Rosalina, etc.

Some other costumes could be Rosalina Halloween, Rosalina Aurora...basically her Mario Kart Tour costumes other than the power-ups. They'd definitely just be for aesthetic purposes though, no affects on gameplay.

👑🍑 Why Peach Is One Of My Favorite Comfort Characters 🍑👑

It’s Princess Peach Month, babes, and as a fangirl, I’m obligated to make a post like this become a reality. Feels quite sinful that I wasn’t able to jack for the month last year (aside from reposting some cringy fanart), but this year I’ll try and bring my A game this year. Was also inspired to make this post after reading some articles that are in defense of characters that are in a similar vein to Peach, like Daphne Blake and the Disney Princesses (specifically the classic ones like Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora).

Last year, I made a post where I partially went in defense of the pink diplomat, but for this post, I’m gonna go in full defense of her, and also why she’s personally special to me.

Now, where do I even begin? Imo, Peach has been one of the most unnecessarily lambasted, maligned, overhated but also misunderstood characters in not just Super Mario, video games, but also fiction as a whole.

One of the most talked about criticisms I hear about her is, “ShE’s UsElEsS, aNd Is aLwAyS bEiNg KiDnApPeD LiKe EvErY dAy”. While it kinda has become somewhat of a running gag in the series, I am willing to admit that she’s not always able to defend herself. However, I’m still here to say that’s she’s far from useless or weak, girlie clearly can defend herself, like- are y’all really forgetting the many times where she can be strong like in SM3DW, Mario + Rabbids, SMB2, SMBW, SMRPG, and so many other titles? Hell, are we really forgetting about the movie that literally just came out a year ago where she’s being a strong, dutiful leader, AND the fact that she has two solo starring games where it was her turn to save the day all by herself? Let’s also not forget the Smash Bros. series where she’s one of the highest ranked characters in three of the entries. And also, it’s not, “every day”, some of y’all need to stop exaggerating that 💀

Even when in captivity, she still manages to help out Mario by sneaking 1-Ups like in Mario Galaxy. It irks me with how stuff like this is often ignored in order to pigeonhole her into the damsel role, when she is strong in her own right. She doesn’t always get captured, and more people could understand this if they stopped degrading her for Bowser and Daisy’s actions.

Speaking of Daisy, another criticism that I hear about her is, “ShE’s A bAd FrIeNd To DaIsY, aNd BeTrAyEd HeR fOr RoSaLiNa.” Jesus H. Christ, this one genuinely makes my blood boil. Daisy is another one of my favorite characters in the series that is special to me, and it makes me upset with how her and Peach’s friendship is often portrayed in the fandom. Like, show me proof. Show me factual evidence that Peach “betrayed” Daisy that isn’t from fanart, fanfiction, animations, or anything else fanmade. This is giving the same vibes as, “Mario is a bad/abusive brother to Luigi” rumor that MatPat popularized and I hate it sm. And while we’re at it, can we not throw Rosalina under the bus, she herself gets an unnecessary and unneeded amount of hate already :/

Peach and Daisy are canonically BFFLs, and I hate hate hate how they’re usually portrayed as enemies. I remember seeing so much fanart back in the day where Daisy is bullying, fighting, or being straight up toxic towards Peach. I do see Daisy playfully teasing Peach and being competitive, but being toxic? No, honey, no 😣

And now moving on to my next criticism which is, “ShE’s ToO sTuPiD aNd GiRlY”. Aah yes, the whole, “being hyper feminine/girly is bad” trope, oh how I have not missed you. First of all, Peach is not stupid. Naive? Yes. But she’s no dumb blonde, or airhead, or ditz, or bimbo, or whatever the hell type of pejorative, misogynistic, blonde stereotype-based word you wanna throw at her. She’s clever, and has been able to use her smarts to outwit her captors. And newsflash, there's absolutely nothing wrong with loving traditionally feminine things like baking cakes, or fashion, or liking the color pink. It kinda rubs me the wrong way with how people remove the feminine aspects about Peach and the other things that make her special in order to have her be taken seriously. They just end up making her a Daisy clone. You can be both girly and badass too, y’know!

And here’s my final criticism that I hear about her, “ShE’s A sPoIlEd, StUcK uP bRaT wHo DoEsN’t CaRe AbOuT mArIo”. Look, just because she’s filthy stinking rich, doesn’t mean she’s a spoiled brat. This is yet another thing I see her being portrayed in fanmade stuff; spoiled, bratty, entitled, and bitchy, and I’m just here like, “Did y’all mistake her for Wendy, or?”. Peach is one of the sweetest, empathetic, selfless, and most wholesome characters in the series, and would never act like that.

But nope, pink = girliness, and girliness = bad, so that means we gotta make her a complete Karen/s

I get alternative character interpretations exists, but I feel like people use that as an excuse to deliberately demonize and flanderize characters for the sake of it -_-

As for Mario, have you guys even played any of the games? She clearly does love and care about him and is grateful for what he’s done for her. She thanks him for helping her, giving him kisses, baking cakes for him, and inviting him to fun places. If she “didn’t care about him”, then she wouldn’t be doing all the above mentioned stuff for him. And something I also forgot to mention in my Y2K Peach post is how people assume she has Stockholm Syndrome- which she doesn’t. She clearly doesn’t like Bowser, wants nothing to do with him, and shows 0 romantic interest in him, so how could she have Stockholm Syndrome lmao

Phew, glad I got all of that off my chest. Stuff like this has been bugging me for so long, so I’m glad to finally let it all out. Now I’m gonna explain why I find Peach to be one of my favorite comfort characters.

Ever since I was a small tot, I’ve always admired Peach. She was pretty, pink, super girly and ruled a whole damn kingdom. While she isn’t always strong, there are still times where she’s able to put her foot down and stand up for her friends and herself. She puts her subjects' needs before her own needs, and is basically a gentle soul. She’s also a jack of all trades, she’s not just a baker, but also a golfer, tennis player, kart racer, equestrian, and so much more. She’s also able to be patient with others, and sees the good in even the wickedest of people.

I especially loved playing as her in the Smash Bros. games, I’ve been a Peach main ever since the Brawl days. Her inclusion in the series just shows me that, even if you love doing unapologetically feminine things like wearing dresses, painting your nails, shopping, or cooking, you still matter. You’re still capable and strong in your own way, and you can still save the day. Embrace who you are. To this day, I still find this to be an empowering message that not just young girls, but anyone can resonate with. This is why Peach has always been a special character to me <3

Apologies if I kinda went into, “I’m 14 and this is deep” territory, but that’s just what I truly feel about Peach. She’s no damsel in distress, or a pretty face, or a walking talking prize, she’s much much more than that. She’s one of the best characters, and deserves better not just in the games, but in the fandom as well.

I’m probably gonna get crucified and clowned on for this, but Idc, I spoke my truth 😤

The Just Dancers smash ultimate deluxe some move-set ideas

People didn’t like this idea but I really wanted all five of the Just Dancers from Just Dance in Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe. they all appeared 13 years after the 1st Just Dance game, they represent the lore.

I thought of a unique gimmick in which they are completely separate fighters, and you can chose which one you want to fight solo, but if you play one, you get the other four. As I imagine there will be this unique Gimmick that you can swap out your characters tag team style, if you want to switch out for fighter, you can and a portal will open and they characters will take turns. But I don’t know about that

All five attack with dance moves that they dance to in the games, and some of them are also their taunts, I’ll tell you ideas for their moveset separately (these are not my ideas, but all came from Reddit)

Sara (and Disco Ball)

this idea was by Front-Peanut8057. A Rosalina and Luma type fighter. Sara and the disco ball create attacks together with Sara tossing and twirling the disco ball around, her neutral special also does this.

Wanderlust

He is a more agile character, similar to Falco, his neutral special is a gold move inspired attack. And wears the outfit from his Legendary avatar as his final smash (the avatar is Wanderlust - Chosen one)

Brezziana

The one I have ideas for the least, but a psychical brawler would be perfect. I know that she would take her jacket off during her final smash (based on the avatar Brezziana - Ultimate)

Mihaly

They are a ninja type character, and the teal crystals from their song Rather Be will be their neutral special, and their Final Smash would be based on their panda form (idea by Sowhatayty79)

Jack Rose

This is solely my idea.

I do imagine his entrance would he transforming into a human from his swan form, based on the story of swan lake. His neutral special would be him singing with his microphone. And his final smash would be that stampede/army of replicas from the Treasure song. And that one of the alt costumes would be with his unreleased Lose Yourself, and a costume what would have been if his mom corrupted him in Swan Lake along with his friends.

Another domestic life activity for the villains: video games.

The gang are playing Multiplayer Mugiokart on the Mintendo Switch.

Suguru and Junya are your typical casual players, meaning they don’t care about the trophies they collect.

Madarame is an extreme novice so he will need to do Solo Racing for extra help. Though there are times where he’s surprisingly lucky.

Kunikazu is also a novice, even though he vehemently refuses to admit it and a sore loser—demanding Wakaba to forfeit the race.

Side note: DO NOT PLAY MILKY WAY ROAD(parody of Rainbow Road and Kuni hates it)

Since Today is Daisy's Anniversary…

Let me pitch an idea for a solo Daisy game…

A Warriors-style game co-developed by Koei Tecmo set in Sarasaland! (Working Title is "Princess Daisy: Sarasaland Warrior")

This is also partially inspired by the idea for a Kingdom Hearts style game starring Rosalina that @galactic-glamour-girl-posts came up with in the infancy of public knowledge on Princess Peach Showtime.

I've only got the basics down; the villain would likely be named Plumeria (to mirror Daisy's flower name like how Grape mirrors Peach's fruit name), the reason for the Warriors gameplay would be that there's a fighting tournament in Sarasaland that Plumeria took over, and I have some ideas for how to handle the roster: Daisy can use power-ups and even some of her Mario Kart Tour costumes for more options to fight against Plumeria's minions, Daisy would have a WarioWare-esque ensemble cast that have different movesets, or some combination of the two. If you have any additional ideas for this concept, feel free to let me know!

Starting off strong with closeted NB Transfemme. Would prefer They/She but can’t scrounge up the courage to ask. Lowkey jealous of the princesses. Love them with all their being tho.

Amazing cook and baker. Took care of the house while Mario did his solo stuff. Also moderately good at medical care since he often fussed over and fixed up his bro after battles with Bowser. Has scars from his own battles with King Boo.

Pretty good at doing hair from helping peach and Daisy so much, and cutting Mario’s hair when it get too long for him. Wants to grow out his own but doesn’t for the aforementioned lack of courage above.

Stupid Rich. The Mansion games are canon here. He uses the mansions as vacation homes, and the hotel he visits once a year since he technically owns half of it. E. Gadd and the ghosts run the joint tho.

Still has polterpup. That’s his baby forever and ever.

Goes out every now and then as Mr.L and does minor crimes. Mostly a confidence boosting thing, since that hypnotism really just made him aware of his own power and worth. At least sometimes.

Has a diagnosed anxiety disorder along with the Tism. It’s something he’s struggled with for a long time, but finally got help with the urging of his family and friends. Also separation anxiety. Please do not separate the brothers. He will cry.

Has insomnia, but does his best to take it easy a lot of the time.

Can go nonverbal when overly stressed or exhausted. Was selectively mute as a child and reverts back to that when overwhelmed.

PTSD and a fear of the dark. Has cute little star night lights in the shape of Rosalina’s lil friends.

Hopeless bisexual. Absolutely useless bisexual. He wants to be crushed and taken care of all at once. No, he doesn’t want to talk about it. FATASS crush on Bowser and Daisy.

A Little Chubby! Most of it is in his bottom half and tummy. Muscle under it tho.

A command over both fire and lightning. Very fast, good at combat once the anxiety takes a backseat.

Mom Friend(tm). Always has some kind of healing item, bandaid or pain med on him. Or will get it for you from the closest store. Will cook you a home cooked meal if you just ask.

Mario is his #1 person. Despite sometimes feeling like second best around him at times, he loves his brother unconditionally, and holds his opinion to a very high standard.

Smash is also canon here btw. Highly enjoys seeing everyone when the tournament comes around.

So making this post today to mostly talk about Nintendo and the Direct. First of all...I AM SO EXCITED!!! I am still playing Princess Peach Showtime and Kirby Return to Dreamlannd Delux. But I'm almost two fifths of the way done with Princess Peach. (On the third of four levels on the second of five floors) And almost done with Kirby too. (On the fifth of seven levels) I will finish these before getting anymore Nintendo games. But for once in my life,I actually have a bit of confidence that I can do it! Anyway,really excited for Echos of Wisdom! I still plan to play the other games where Link is the hero,starting with Link's Awakening. (I heard it's a good place to start for beginners) But Zelda getting her own game is truly a victory for the girlies. I really hope Daisy and Rosalina will get solo games next! Fingers crossed! Anyway...really enjoying getting into Nintendo and looking forward to more stuff from them. Keep an eye out for more Nintendo posts/reblogs from me too! My Rosalina Wishlist for the Nintendo Switch 2 era

In order of what I want the least to want I want the most:

For her to make appearance in (at least one of) the RPGs

Maybe they could connect her to Geno, or to the pre-established star lore of the RPGs, maybe there's another copy of the book Paper Mario takes place in in her library, have her interact with Starlow (another being who uses star power), you could do a lot with her. She's already one of the most fleshed out in the mainline games, she'd flourish in the RPGs, games which specifically aim to develop (most) of the cast as characters.

Give her a Power Up band

Technically this (and one more addition later on in this list) is not a Nintendo Switch 2 related thing but if this were to happen it would likely be during the Switch 2 era, so it's relevant enough.

Years ago I predicted that her, Toadette, DK and Diddy Kong would get power up bands based on a leak. Since then, it's been confirmed that Donkey Kong and Diddy will be getting power up bands to go alongside the Donkey Kong-themed expansion of Super Nintendo World. I still think Rosalina (and Toadette) could get one, especially if they do a Galaxy-themed expansion. It would be nice to have one in time for 2027, Galaxy's anniversary, but that's not likely given that we'd probably know about it being built by now. It could still happen not too long after it. A space-themed expansion would definitely be popular (Toadette is part of the Toad Brigade, who debited in Galaxy 1, so she could get one during this supposed expansion too).

Even if that didn't happen, Rosalina does make an appearance at the park via the VR binoculars, and she was recently given a new plush made specifically to be sold at the park, so she's already one of the most likely candidates to get a band next.

A new Rosalina-owned Mario Kart stage

Not much to explain here. It's been over a decade since she got one, and that was her first (unless we retroactively count Rainbow Road).

An appearance in a Mario movie sequel

If not as a major character, then at least as a post-credits character. After a Luma was in the first movie, it seems inevitable that Rosalina will appear in the films eventually, I just hope it's sooner rather than later! Even if it's for a short time, I think they could fit her in movie 2 somewhere. Literally just show Lumalee going home or something. They might save her for movie 3, but that would probably also happen during the Switch 2 era (I could see it releasing in 2029 or 2030, the Switch 2 would've only been out for about 4-5 years by then).

Another appearance in a mainline Mario game

I'm welcome to it being a 3D game, but I'd prefer for it to be a 2D one because she has yet to make an appearance in a 2D game.

Bonus points if she's playable!

Her own solo adventure game

Even putting my bias aside, I genuinely think this could work! She's one of the most popular characters in the franchise, it would be a good chance to find out more about her origins or at least give a Mario-adjacent game a deeper story than usual, and outer space is almost always a cool setting for any piece of media. If it were to happen (I know it probably won't, but a girl can dream), I hope it's not essentially just "Super Mario Galaxy 3, but you play as Rosalina". I'd love it if the game had a genre the Mario franchise either hasn't touched yet or hasn't done often (I still think a Kingdom Hearts-esque action RPG would suit her very well).

Although if I had to order these from most to least likely to happen during the Switch 2 era, I'd say: an appearance in a new mainline Mario game, a new Mario Kart stage, her power up band, an appearance in the Mario movie sequel, an appearance in the RPGs, and finally her solo game.

But hey, prove me wrong Nintendo! Watch how I jinx it and none of these happen lol

Context: this is a 1 Vs 3 mini game in mario party where if you have to avoid looking at the same direction as the solo player. Antoine was the solo player and lost so the other were taunting him

Smash Bros Future Cast Part 2

Meta Knight and Dedede are both iconic Kirby villains, and not particularly likely to be cut, nor do they need reworks. Wario is the same for Mario, but a rework is a toss-up. Diddy is also huge, but has no guarantee.

Pit is in danger is Sakurai isn't back, with no new games in development. Still, he's got a decent chance of sticking around anyways, considering the series currently has three reps.

Ike and Pokemon Trainer both are from overcrowded series, and unlikely to stick around over new reps. Charizard could once again continue solo however, he's done it before and his popularity is still huge.

Lucas is pretty much dead, sadly. Mother is a dead IP, and Ness is rep enough for it, especially since Mother 3 is never leaving Japan.

Olimar is the base game's one guarantee, with Pikmin 4's success and his continued relevance to the franchise.

Star Fox's ill fortune makes Wolf being cut again quite likely. Lucario comes from the overcroweded Pokemon roster, but does at least have the sustained popularity to possibly make the cut. Toon Link is far more likely to stay than most semi-clones, but not a guarantee. And R.O.B. is really director's choice.

Brawl Third Parties Sonic ***** / ** Snake ** / *

Our first third parties! Sonic is the least likely of all third parties to be cut, but there's always a chance. Snake on the other hand seems quite unlikely if Sakurai isn't back to make the deal.

We've got some interesting picks here. Villager is guaranteed to return, that one's easy. Mii Fighters allow for costume DLC so they're likely to stick around.

As for the rest… Rosalina & Luma are the most likely cuts from the crowded Mario franchise out of non-clones. But it is Mario, so maybe none? Greninja is in the same boat, and there's a ton of other Pokemon who could replace him.

Palutena is from a series that missed last gen, so she's in trouble. Little Mac missed two gens, but he's such a beginner friendly character he might be kept for that.

Robin has the saving grace of playing very uniquely among FE characters, and Awakening is still hugely influential. And XC DE + XC3 both made Shulk still quite relevant, so he's quite likely to stay no matter what the situation with XC reps.

And as for Wii Fit Trainer… I suspect either the character will be reimagined as Ring Fit Trainee or replaced with Dragaux… but most likely the former.

Corrin is from a much panned FE game, and there's way too many FE reps right now, and we'll likely get new ones. Bowser Jr. is in the same boat as Rosalina, while Duck Hunt is there with R.O.B.

Smash 4 Third Party / DLC Megaman ***** / * Pac-Man ***** / ** Ryu **** / * Cloud ** / * Bayonetta ****** / *

Pac-Man will only potentially get dropped if B-N isn't developing, which seems highly unlikely. Megaman and Ryu are also huge names, and Capcom's current attitude towards growing it's IPs means they'll definitely want to get them in. Ryu is more likely to be held back for DLC however. Bayonetta also is highly likely, as Nintendo is basically carrying that series. The only likely cut there I'd say would be Cloud, as Squeenix was notoriously hard to work with on adding him.
