The Dusk Calls for me: Jasper Hale x My OC Fleur Swan, Chapter 7
AUTHORS NOTES: None of the characters in Twilight belong to me. All rights go to Stephenie Meyer.
“I'm afraid to go outside So many people rule my mind, I Can't escape, where is the line? Chained ourselves to overdrive.”
NICE OUT: By Kilo Kish
I didn’t know where I was again, It seemed I was observing a man sitting in a speedboat with his headphones on. I couldn’t see him clearly enough to a identify him at first. I then saw that man again, with the long blonde hair this time, he wasn’t wearing a shirt. I didn’t see the second man though I wondered where he was and why was I with this person again. My “body” began to move toward the man against my own will. I finally noticed it was Waylon but instead of terror, I was filled with thirst and eagerness. Waylon seemed to of heard a deep growl coming out of “my” throat and took his headphones off.
“Hello?”
My figure zoomed past his line of sight, he stood up quickly, stumbling a few feet to the front of the boat.
“Gerald? Gerald?”
When he didn’t get a reply, he got too unsettled and started the motor to the boat. Before he could take off though “I” stopped the boat from moving forward. He looked back in shock at me before greeting me.
“Hello” He stuttered.
The man with the long blonde hair then jumped down.
“Nice Jacket.” He said in a sinister tone.
“Who are you?”
“I” started to move closer to him, like an animal after it’s prey.
“It’s always the same, inane questions. Who are you?”
“What do you want?” I said in a completely different voice.
“Why are you doing this?”
Finally the other man that I had seen zipped down from his hiding place, he looked quite bored.
“James, let’s not play with our food.”
As soon as he said that I kicked Waylon to the floor of the boat before pouncing on him.
I finally woke up shooting up from Jasper's chest panting again holding in a scream. I was even more freaked out than the previous dream I had before. This was someone I knew, someone I had fond childhood memories with. Why was I dreaming about killing him?
“What happened? Are you okay? What’s wrong!?” I heard Jasper ask his voice laced with concern.
Tears filled my eyes before spilling down my cheeks, I couldn’t talk it was as if I was paralyzed in fear. He pulled me in, hugging me and rubbing my back.
“I-I had a terrifying nightmare. I felt so real Jazz... I...” I couldn’t even finish my sentence. He hushed me just holding me and trying to comfort me.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
“No, not right now.”
We sat in silence for a bit and I surveyed my surroundings. The weather report had lied, it was as cloudy as ever looks like Jasper and everyone else could go on that field trip after all. Our silence was then interrupted.
“I’m sorry to leave you like this but, I have to go. Your sister is about to come up.” He said in a hushed voice he kissed me before leaving through the window. My door was opened a minute later Bella had entered the room.
“Hey, did you plan on... are you okay Fleur, you look terrified?” Bella asked.
“Yeah I’m fine, I just had a nightmare... I knew I shouldn’t of watched those horror movies last night.” I lied.
“That sucks...I was just coming up here to ask if you planned on going to the Greenhouse today. You still haven’t gotten your slip signed.” She said.
“Oh yeah, I completely forgot, could you bring my slip down to dad? I have to get dressed real quick.”
“Sure no problem.”
I slowly raised myself up from my bed, the grogginess of last night sleep still lingered on me. A black t-shirt and blue jeans would have to do today. I grabbed a red sweater since I knew it would be freezing today. I grabbed my boots and rushed down the stairs trying not to trip.
“You always were the one to wait til the last minute for things to get signed weren't’ you?” Dad asked playfully.
“You should know me by now dad my motto is “Better late than never.” I replied.
“Well you two better hurry up in eat or you won’t have enough time to like last time. I have to get going early so I’ll see you girls later on today” Dad said.
“Okay, love you dad.” I said.
“Love you dad, be safe.”
Bella and I both ended up eating a fruit salad finishing around the same time. We both head towards her truck since I left it at school yesterday.
“I cannot wait to get my car back! I miss my baby.” I said.
“You love that car way too much you know.” Bella interjected.
“I may love it too much but, it’s still my baby.”
She shook her head while chuckling. The rest of the car ride was mostly quite, but the radio was on. I was surprised it worked, her truck was from the 50′s... We pulled up to the school and I got out of the truck, looking for Jasper right away. Bella seeing this nudge my shoulder before telling me to go after him. I hugged her and thanked her for the ride to school before jogging my way toward him.
“Hey darlin, seems your doin better this mornin aren’t you?” He asked.
“Yeah, I feel a lot better, thanks for earlier.”
“No problem love.” He said before attacking my face with kisses. I giggled before playfully pushing him back. I then turned my head to see Edward glaring at Bella and Mike. He seemed jealous and was intently listening in on there conversation. Bella and Mike had a quick exchange by the end of it, Edward was smirking before making his way onto the bus. I followed in with Jasper after him.
The greenhouse was nice, the different plants was very interesting to me. Jasper and I stopped by a bundle of Yellow Iris’s, my favorite flower. I looked up from the flowers to see Bella and Edward talking.
“What do you think he’s saying to her?” I asked Jasper.
“Probably something stupid.” He replied jokingly.
I sighed... “Just like Edward... to go and something stupid.”
“Yep, pretty much, Darlin.”
Suddenly it seemed the conversation went south, Bella’s face furrowed in anger and then tripped over he own to feet. Edward didn’t look very happy either after catching her and maintained a scowled on his face. Bella stormed off tired of whatever he was saying.
“Did we jinx it? It seems he actually did say something stupid.” I said.
“I think we did love, Edward’s people skills are extemely rusty.”
“Yeah, they definitely are.”
As we made our through the greenhouse, Edward started to follow Bella out of the building. They stopped in front of the bus we were riding in.
“Hey, are you going to join us?” Alice asked.
“Yeah I think we have some room for one more.” Dean said.
“NO, this one’s full.” Edward said curtly before banging on the school bus door. As soon as it opened he stormed inside, Alice and Dean following quickly behind. Jasper and I ended up at the front of the bus.
“I’ll see you at home.” I said.
“Yeah see you later.” Bella replied.”
When we arrived back in the parking lot I made my way to my car. I bid Jasper a goodbye before driving home quickly, I wanted to know how Bella was doing. When I entered the the kitchen Bella and stormed out of the kitchen, I could tell she wanted to be alone so I didn’t bother her. The next school day was pretty uneventful until lunch, Bella had asked me if I wanted to go with her, Angela, Ben, Eric, Tyler, and Mike to La Push beach. I accepted the invitation, it had been a while since I had visited around that area. When Bella went off to get her lunch I decided to tell Jasper where I was going. He was always reluctant for me to go down to La Push for some reason. He never really told me, I understood. I had a feeling it was just a secret he couldn’t tell and I completely understood that, I was in the same situation after all. I wasn’t going to pressure him into telling me anything he didn’t want to. I approached the table, the other Cullens were happy to see me.
“Hey Jazz, you’re going to have to come a bit later tonight, I’m going down to La Push with Bella and her friends.” I said.
I could tell he was uncomfortable with that idea but, he knew how stubborn I was. If I was going to go somewhere, no one was going to get me to change my mind.
“Just be careful, Fleur. It’s a bit dangerous down there.” I heard Rosalie say.
“Don’t make Dean and I come down there and beat someone up Short-stack.” Emmett said while cracking his knuckles.
Alice had nodded in agreement with Emmett.
“Okay, darlin, be safe.” Jasper added.
“I will, you know since I’m here I should probably tell you... Bella’s getting suspicious about you guys. She hasn’t outright said anything about you guys being a vampire but... she might find out soon.” I explained.
Rosalie, Emmett, and Jasper all looked uncomfortably at each other. Alice on the other hand, didn’t seem phased at all.
“Thank you for warning us Fleur, we’ll try to be a bit more careful with what we do.” Rosalie said.
“If she finds anything at La Push, I’ll let you guys know.”
“Thank you.” Rosalie said.
The school day came and went quickly and soon enough I was driving my way to La Push. This was going to be one interesting visit.

the death of me
Esme Cullen x fem child of the moon reader
@rexburn12
asked for a child of the moon reader who moves to fork the same time Bella does, and teaches at the high school. she smells Esme on one of the Cullen kids and imprints. and the same goes for Esme.
A/n I'm sorry this took me so long, I was burnt out and couldn't bring myself to write anything, even though I thought about this story and my other unfinished story’s the entire time. I hope you like it. PS I don’t know how to write werewolf character’s and I have no clue what teachers are like.
(Y/n) POV
'Just perfect... My first day teaching and I'm late.' You think to yourself, locking your front door. 'My first class starts in 14 minutes, if I speed a should make it there 2 minutes before the bell.' I think, groaning. Frantically pressing the unlock button on your car key, you jog down the sidewalk towards you car.
"Morning Miss (L/n), shouldn't you be at the school?" Your neighbor Charlie Swan asks. "Yes. I overslept." You say, stopping. You look at him, embarrassed.
"Well, i wont tell anyone." He laughs. 'Oh right, he was telling me yesterday, some towns people could be a little judgemental of newcomers' you smile appreciatively, heading towards your car again. "hey, my daughter, Bella. just start today, she a junior." Charlie says, he goings to continue but you beat him to it.
"I'll keep an eye on her." You promise. He nods his thanks. You smile, getting in your car.
You sit down at your desk, letting out a sigh. You made it a minute before a first bell rung. You don't really need to prepare anything, all you're doing today is roll call, so you can put faces to names and giving the kids a quiz just to see how far they've gotten and what they'll need help with in the future. The quiz in no way effects they're grades.
The bell rings. Students start entering the class room, taking they're seats. As they do, you get up and write your name in a dry erase board.
Once the last student enters, the door shuts behind them. You take a deep breathe. 'Here we go again' you think, then turn to the class.
"Morning, class." You get a few "mornings" back along with a few groans from the kids who aren’t awake yet.
"As you can see on the board my name is (Y/f/n)." You say, glancing around the class room before continuing. "I'm not going to give that speech all the other young teachers give. You're all Basically adults, you know how you should act in class." I finish saying, and stare at a boy who's been whispering to his friend about the new girl. 'Bella' you think as you continue to stare at him till his friend nudges him and he look straight into your eyes. He mumbles a "sorry" and starting paying attention.
You sigh "I'm not a mean teacher, I just think it's annoying when I'm teaching and someone thinks NOW, is the best time to talk about a girl." His friends starts laughing, while he starts turning red, and shrink down in his seat.
After the class laughs for a second, you apologize to him for singling him out and continue.
"Since its my first day, we're going to do two things. I'm going to call your names so I can put faces to the names on this list I have." You gesture to a piece of paper in hold.
"Then I'm going to hand out these quizzes so I can see where you're all at." Everybody groans at that. "I know, I know, I suck. Put this in no way affect your grades, but please try your hardest." You finish up the telling them what we're doing and go to lean on front of my desk, holding the piece of paper.
"Lets see... Katie Bell?" You say, looking up from the paper. A girl in the front says "Here." You smile at the girl then look at the next persons name.
"Alice Cullen?" You say, glancing around the room. "Here." A girl says, smiling at you. You freeze. Just for a second in real time but felt like forever to you. 'No' you think as you stare at this pale girl. 'No, there's no way. She wouldn't be in a school if it were true. Her eyes aren't red and she's not wearing contacts.' You snap out of it.
Quickly reading the next name on the list. "Edward Cullen." You say, and gulp. You look up, scanning the room for the boy who's name you just read. You see Alice kick the boy sitting next to her. You look at him to find him staring at you. More like glaring really. He has the same pale skin color as his sister. Another harder kick from Alice makes him snap out of it and answer "Here." He grunts.
You continue reading off names. Trying not to worry. Finally you've figured out everyone's names.
You then grabs the pile of papers from my desk. Normal you'd just hand them to a kid in the front to pass out but you need to get closer to the two Cullen. You need to know for sure.
You start walking don't the Isles passing our the quizzes. You started at the other side of the room to not look too suspicious. Finally getting over to them hand them they're papers. You inhale, and almost growl. You glance at Alice to see her trying to hold back a choking sound.
You quickly give out the rest of the papers and sit done at your desk quietly gasping for clean Air. You cough trying to clear your throat. You look up at the student's all of them waiting for you to tell them they can begin.
"Okay, when you've finish you may quietly play with your phone or read or whatever. you just can't leave till the bell. May you begin." You say, looking at everyone except the two pale kids in the back.
As the hour slowly ticks by, you keep glancing over at the Cullen's. Always looking away before you get caught. You noticed the finished there quizzes before anyone else and are now quietly talking amongst themselves. You don't even try to listen in on them, your too much in you're head to focus.
Finally the bell rings, students start grabbing there stuff and heading up to the desk to hand they're quizzes in. You take them, with a smile. saying goodbye to them as they pass.
The room slowly starts to clear out. Realizing the Cullen are in the back on the line of kids handing in they're papers. The smells a death getting stronger the fewer kids there are.
They finally get up to my desk, Edward puts the paper on your desk and leaves not without giving you a weird look before he does so. You watch him storm off, but the smell is still as strong as ever. Remember Alice is still here, you turn back to her quickly. She's standing there. Smiling, holding out her paper for you to take.
You do so, never breaking eye contact. You were the only people in the classroom. After a few seconds Alice flashes you a big smile then leaves.
'What an odd girl' you think shaking your head.
The rest of the day went by pretty fast. Only have three more problem through out the day. The names of these problems were Emmet, Jasper and Rosalie.
Five vampires at the school, that might become an even bigger problem soon. If they live in forks, you might run into them during a full moon. and that will end really badly for either them or yourself.
As you pack up to go home you hear a knock at the class room door. "Come in!" You yell, not looking up from the papers you're packing away.
The door opens and you don't even need to know who just walked in now, the smell of death hits you. It's getting easier to look past the smell though, you can tell that the Vampire that just walk in was Alice. You can smell her natural scent, lavender.
"How can I help you, Miss Cullen?" You say, finally looking up.
"Jasper left his coat in here"
"Ah yes, he ran out as soon as the bell rung."
You glance over at Jasper Hale's seat. There his jacket sat. Alice going to grab it. You finish grabbing your things, and walk to the door.
You open it and wait for Alice to grab the jacket and leave the classroom before you turn off the lights. Alice practically skips back over to you, now holding the jacket. You hold the door open for her, as she passes you're hit with a smell so strong your knees go weak and you have to grip the door for support.
You faintly hear Alice ask what was wrong, but you couldn't even look up at her let alone respond. Everything felt so never wrong yet so right. You've never felt something so powerful come over you before.
All you know is whomever that scent belongs too, will be the death of you, and you'll welcome it happily.
Just as quickly as it started it was over, you stand up right. Taking deep breaths, you look at Alice.
She's standing there, completely confused. You take another breath before saying as calmly as you can. "I'm fine. I'll see you tomorrow Miss Cullen." You try to say it as dismissively as possible, in hope she'll leave. She does think a quick goodbye before she turns and walks down the hall.
Wasting no time, you turn the lights off, lock the door and leave.
Esme's POV
"Esme! We're home." You hear Alice say from the front door. You smile, and walk down stairs to see your children.
"Hi, how was school? I heard you were getting a new teacher today." You say, watch as the kids strip off they're coats and hang them up.
"It's was fine. The teacher is definitely different." Emmet says, and walks off to do his own things.
"She stinks if you ask me." Rosalie says, smirking at some hidden joke you don't understand. But Jasper chuckles.
You're about to ask why when you notice.
"Where's Edward?" You asks, looking around confused. The three kids in the room stop what they're doing. No one makes eye contact.
As panic starts to set in, you ask again. "Where's Edward?"
Alice is the first to speak up. "He had a problem with a new girl at school. He almost lost control today, so he left."
Sadness overwhelms you. Thinking about how Edward must feel, almost loosing himself, feeling the need to run.
"Where did be go?" You ask, but you're met with no answer. No one knew where he went.
A tear rolls down your cheek. You wipe it away. Rosalie hugs you, and you hold her tight not wanting to loose another kid.
Eventually you let her go, feeling calmer than a minute ago. You know Jasper's the reason for your calmness. You thank him and he nods. Rosalie and him head into the next room, leaving you with Alice.
She doesn't waste a second, hugging you. When she does, you smell something, you gag. But then something strong hits your senses. And all you can do is smile.
"Who's the wolf?" You ask, Pulling away from Alice. still smiling.
"Our new teacher. She's nice, once you get past the smell." Alice says, Then she spaces out. You of course know what’s happening. You wait for her vision to end, hoping it's a good one.
When Alice focuses again, she says "oh" and smirks at you. "You should probably go to the school to tell the principal, Edward won't be back for awhile." She winks and leaves.
(Y/n)'s POV
You stand and the copier in the school office prints out permission slips for an upcoming school trip, drinking your fourth cup of coffee this morning.
You were up all night going over everything from yesterday. Vampires. Imprinting. Imprinting on a Vampire. Oh god your head hurts.
The nice lady at the front desk starts up a conversation while you wait for the copier to be done. Town gossip, who's who. The usual. There's always someone like her, everywhere you go, every new life you live.
She's in the middle of talking about her son, a senior here, when the door to the office opens. While she deals with whoever it is that walk in a turn back to my task at hand.
"Hello, I'm here to inform you, my son, Edward Cullen. Won't be able to attend school for awhile. He has family matters out of town."
You overhear and freeze. You drop your thankfully empty mug. It doesn't break but it does make a loud enough sound that you're sure both women in the room are now looking at you. You bend down to pick it up, muttering a 'Sorry'.
As you grab it, you glance up at the two women in the room. And your eyes meet golden brown ones, the feeling from yesterday comes rushing back full force. It takes everything in you not to growl. You tear your eyes away, and turn around again. You grip the copier until your knuckles turn white. You want nothing more than too hold her and never let her go. You can't focus on the conversation still happening behind you.
A beep on the copier signals it's done, you pick up the stack of papers. Taking a deep breath and turning around, you notice the conversations coming to close so you linger, waiting. You wait until she leaving before making your way out of the office too.
She knows you were waiting. It's clear in her eyes when she glances over at you before turning towards the door. Your feet move on they're own, following her. You'd follow her anywhere.
She holds the door open for you. "Thank you." You say, entering into the empty Hall.
"Not a problem." She says, entering right behind you. and you almost trip over your own feet. She grabs your arm before you fall flat on your face. The stack of paper's slipping from your grip and scattering all over the floor.
She bends down and starts picking them up, you drop to your knees as well. "I'm sorry, I'm normally not so clumsy." You apologize, sweeping the paper into a messy pile.
"It's alright dear, we all have are moments." She says, handing me all the papers she collected. You take them, saying "Thank you." You look up catching her staring. You blush, you want nothing more than to look anywhere else, but you can't pry your eyes away.
She seems to be having the same problem. She's smiling at me, it's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. Finally she stands up, holding her hand out to help me up. You scoop all the papers into one arm and take her hand. She pulls you up until your standing, a little too close together to be appropriate if caught by a student or teacher. You don't move away, and neither does she.
"Esme Cullen, and you are?" She says, still holding onto your hand. Something your both aware of, and still make no move to correct it.
"Its nice to meet you, Miss Cullen. I'm (Y/f/n). You say, giving her.. Esme a sweet smile.
Her own smile widens, showing her sharp teeth. You would have thought you'd feel threatened, but you aren’t. in fact, you're calmer right now than you've been in awhile. You bite your lip.
"Please, call me Esme." Esme says, staring at your mouth. You blush again, Esme breaking eye contact helps you get control of yourself again. you take one step away from her, just far enough to keep the conversation going without anyone being curious about the close proximity.
You clear your throat, before responding. "Okay Esme, as long as you call me (Y/n)."
"Of course. (Y/n)." Esme says, smiling again. You go weak hearing her say your name. And by the look she's giving you, she knows it.
Suddenly you remember. It's first period. You need to get back to your class room. You glance at the clock on the hall. Esme follows your eye, she frowns at the time.
You look back at her to tell her you have to go, but she takes a step forward, smiling. She leans into your ear and whispers. "I'll be see you soon, goodbye (Y/n)." She press a soft kiss to your cheek then steps back, turns and walking down the hall.
You just lean against the lockers for a little bit until you can't see her anymore. You sigh, and think to yourself
'She'll be the death of me.'

Love Like This
Bill Skarsgård x Reader
Word Count: 2194
Warnings: Abortion
(A/N: If you do not believe a woman should have a choice on her body then you can fuck off thank you vm. On another note I hope you enjoy this angsty fic. I just had this idea lingering in my mind so it’s here now..)
As I sat in the waiting room dreading my name being called, I looked at the other women that look terrified to go into one of the rooms. Some of them came alone as myself and others came with their significant others or friends. A nurse had brought over a clipboard with some paper I had to sign. I was so nervous I couldn't keep my hands from shaking, I felt like I was going to pass out. Someone took my hand in theirs, I look up to see my best friend Maia. She took me in her arms as I silently cried.
"It's okay, I'm here."
"I thought I was gonna have to go through this alone."
She shook her head taking the clipboard from me, "I would never let you do this alone. Now you sit and calm down and I'll fill this for you okay?" I nodded taking a drink from my water.
Once she finished filling out the forms she handed them back to the nurse and we waited to be called over.
"Y/n L/n"
I got up quickly as did Maia, "You'll be alright, I'll wait here." She gave me a hug and a quick kiss on the head."
"Alright hun lets get you prepped." The nurse said as she took me to one of the operating rooms.
After 15 mins the procedure was finally done, they took me to the recovery room where Maia sat on the couch waiting for me. The nurse, Stella, handed me a cup of water and some pain meds before she went back to her office.
"You okay?" I nodded laying on the bed, Maia took my hand in hers. "He called." I stayed quiet not carrying what he had to say. "He called me too, I didn't pick up."
"Maia, I don't care anymore. I needed him here more than anything and he left me." My eyes started watering once again. "We'd been together for two years and he couldn't respect my one difficult decision. He can go to hell for all I care."
We stayed quiet for a while until the doctor came back and discharged me. Maia took drove us home, I thanked her for being there for me, "I'm going to sleep early today, goodnight Maia." She nodded.
I went into my room shutting the door quickly, taking a seat on my bed and letting myself cry. Maybe if we had gone through this conversation differently then maybe he would've respected my decision.
[Flashback]
I looked at the pregnancy test that read PREGNANT in its bold letters. What the hell was I gonna do? I'm only 19, I'm still enrolled in the uni. I have so much ahead of me. I can't put it aside, I've worked too hard for it.
"Hey babe!" Bill spoke as he walked into my room. "So my parents are having a celebratory dinner for Alexander- hey what's wrong?" He turned me around and I handed him the test. "Hey its alright, we'll figure this out."
I shook my head, "I'm not ready."
He pulled me into a hug sighing, "Neither am I but we can do this. You have me.. till the end."
"No you don't understand.. I'm not ready, I can't have a baby right now, Bill."
"So what you're going to give it up?" I nodded. "You're kidding right?"
"Bill, we aren't ready. Do you not get it?" I threw the pregancy test in the trash brushing past him and taking a seat on my bed. "Your body isn't going to go through the entire change. I am not you. You get to walk around and continue to do your shit while I go to class carrying the child and getting called a whore for opening my legs at a young age. So yes I am going to give it up because I'm too fucking young to have a child."
"Fuck them, you shouldn't give a fuck of what other people say about you. God knows I don't so neither should you."
I chuckled, "My parents sacrificed so much so they can send me here to study at the uni of my choice, I'm not messing it up because of our fuck up."
"So what our child is a fuck up now?" He was red with anger.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way but if you loved me you would respect my decision."
"I love you (Y/n but I'm sorry, I don't agree with it. So whatever you're thinking of doing to our 'fuck up' you can do it alone." He left slamming the door loudly leaving me completely alone.
[End of flashback]
I sat up turning the tv on to have some sort of background noise. There was a knock at my door I groaned not wanting to see Maia or anyone at the moment. "Maia I'm okay, I just want to sleep."
The door was opened and a tall figure had walked in.
"Hey."
"Get out."
"I'm sorry."
"Get the fuck out." He didn't listen and instead kept coming closer. "Bill seriously get the fuck out."
"I need to talk to you."
I chuckled, "Well if it's to try and change my mind you can kindly fuck off cause the procedures done and so are we."
"I know it's done and I should've been there." I finally looked up at him his eyes sunken and red. "I'm sorry, I should have respected your decision because it's your body. I was just happy that we were gonna have a baby. I thought you wanted one."
"I did, I do, just not now. Not till I was settled." He nodded both our eyes brimming with tears. "Bill I need a break, a really long break. You fucked up and I-I don't know anymore. Look I'm 19 you're 26, I don't want kids till I'm like 30 or maybe never I don't know. And well with the way you reacted it's evident you want kids now. I knew this relationship wasn't gonna last."
"Hey, hey, I do want kids but I can wait. Just don't-don't leave, please." He took my hand in his but I quickly moved it away.
I sighed now full on crying, "I'm sorry Bill but this isn't gonna work out. You can find someone your age that you can settle down with now. I still have years before I'll even remotely be sure if I want kids. By then you'll be in your mid 30s, which is besides the point but what if I don't want kids what will you do then?" He shrugged his shoulders crying silently. "I love you Bill but we can't be together anymore."
He got up pressing a lingering kiss on my forehead, "I'm sorry."
***
3 years later
Today was finally moving day. I had finished my studies in New York and I was moving back down to LA. My parents were a bit against it since we had lived there years ago but they hated it there but I loved it. I was moving down by the beach areas. Maia was staying here with her fiancé.
"Well Ms. those are the last of your boxes." I handed the movers a decent tip and they went on their way.
I turned to Maia as she was already getting emotional, "Hey no crying, it's bad for the baby."
She chuckled pulling me in for a tight hug, "Hey me and Rosalie are gonna miss you."
I pulled away immediately in shock, "it's a girl?" She nodded causing me to shriek in excitement. Tyler came into the room and I jumped on him. "Congrats!"
"We were actually wondering if you would like to organize the baby shower for us." Tyler spoke.
"Yes of course!"
"We wanted to do it in 4 months. Closer to her due date."
"Once I get everything situated in LA I'll get things prepped and fly back here to organize everything!"
There was a honk outside of our house.
"Well guys I will see you in 4 months!" I hugged them both goodbye and grabbed my suitcase getting into the taxi.
***
2 weeks later
I was finally getting the finishing touches to my new house down. I still had a bit of work left but everything was mostly good to go. Now I currently sat in my living room going through a couple of designs for tomorrow's meeting. With the help of one of my close celebrity friends he got me a job with Leah Valderia a famous singer from London. She wanted help with her house and of course I said yes. This could be a great opportunity for my interior design career.
It was getting late and I decided to call it a night. I would show her the designs I had and maybe go shopping with her for some of the things.
The next morning I made sure to wake up early. I took a quick shower to calm my nerves. For my outfit I decided on a corduroy skirt that was a creamy chocolate color and a black turtle neck that fit perfectly. I also went with a dark grey oversized blazer that was just an inch longer than my skirt, for shoes I went with some heeled ankle boots. I did some light makeup and left my hair in its regular straight style. I added just some thin gold necklaces just to bring the whole outfit together. I looked at the time and grabbed my purse and work folders quickly heading out of my house. Before leaving the lot I sent a quick text to Leah letting her know I was on my way.
The traffic to her mansion was horrible to say the least. Luckily I made it on time, I parked my car on the curb and jogged to her door. "Great you're here, please come in!"
Looking around I could definitely see some potential for this beautiful home, "So Y/n I'm so excited you're here. I'm hoping you can bring my vision to life!" We took a seat in her office and she opened her laptop sliding it towards me. She had quite the vision. "I will sure try."
We were in her office for two hours, let's just say she is completely indecisive about what she wants to do with this place. So beautiful and so much potential only her vision was nothing like mine. "So we can definitely do what you want to do and we can also add some color maybe open up these curtains here as well just to get some light and more open space."
"Great! Let me show you the nursery so you can kind of get an idea of what we can with it. This baby will be here in 3 months need to have it done before anything else."
"What are you having?"
"A girl! I'm so excited, I hope one day you get to experience how beautiful it is to carry a life."
I smiled not really knowing what to say I just nodded, "Hey honey, I'm home, brought the- Y/n?"
"Bill?"
"You guys know each other?"
"We-"
"I-"
"We dated years ago."
"Oh?" Leah looked down. "Is she?" Bill only nodded.
"I'm sorry, I'm gonna go. I can send you an email of other designers if-"
Leah shook her head, "No I love your work, that's why I called in for you. This thing you and Bill had is in the past so I would still like to work with you if that's alright."
I nodded, "Well I'll email you some of the ideas I have then we can get started immediately. I'll be back in a week?"
"Perfect."
"Well I'll see you Leah, beautiful house you have here."
Bill set his things down, "I'll walk her out." Leah only nodded.
My car was only a block away but as we walked it felt like it was miles away. "Congratulations." I broke the silence.
"Thank you." He smiled.
"I told you, you would find someone to make you happy. Look at you, you're gonna have a baby."
"Yeah, I'm really happy, but I'm still really sorry about what happened between you and I. I'm sorry we didn't work out and I'm sorry I wasn't there when you needed me the most. I should have been there for you."
I sighed trying not to cry, "It was a bit traumatizing, having the procedure done is weird and horrible but it had to be done. I don't think I would've been happy if we went through with the pregnancy. I never want to be resentful towards a kid that wasn't at fault you know." He nodded. "I went to therapy after we broke up, got back on my feet and now I'm okay with it. I'm happy for you and happy that you're with someone that can give you the life you deserve."
He pulled me in for a hug giving me a kiss on the forehead, "I love you Bill Skarsgård."
"I love you too Y/n L/n and I wish you nothing but the best."

Ok so I wrote this after my little tags drabble on this post and I hope it’s enjoyed.
Takes place pre-Bella, leads up to the little thing I want to write about Mike and Jacob tbh but just not there yet. (Maybe a lil ooc too sorry)
“I dare you to flirt with Cullen.”
Tyler sneered from his perch on the table outside the school. Classes hadn’t started yet and students were milling around the parking lot as clouds overhead threatened to spill.
“Easy,” Mike chided. “I always flirt with Rosalie when Emmett’s not around.” He laughed thinking about the times she has stopped dead in her tracks to simply glare him into silence.
“No, not her, Tyler said. The rest of the group’s interest peaked at this. Eric leaned in and Jess and Angela stopped their quiet chatter. “Edward Cullen.”
Though never confirmed the rumors floated around the school of Edward’s lack of attraction to women, and general unfriendliness to any girl who had enough courage to approach him. Tyler wanted him to flirt with Edward Cullen cause they thought he was gay. The boy in question was standing near his car with the short pixie girl and her man in light conversation.
Mike looked up from his gaze towards the trio. If one thing about Mike was to be remembered, it was that he never backed down from a dare.
“Fine,” he said determined. Jessica gasped dramatically as Mike stood up and began making his way towards the parking lot.
When he was within earshot of the adopted siblings he heard the small girl speak quickly. “Ok Edward we have to go but we’ll see you around.” She pulled the arm of the blonde before turning away to move gracefully towards the school snickering.
Edward looked up to Mike as he approached like a deer in headlights. “Cullen, how are you?” Mike began to lay on the charm.
Edward looked even more startled, “I’m well,” he spoke smoothly despite his expression. “What can I do for you,” he hesitated, “Newton.”
Mike chuckled. “Call me Mike! I was just wondering if anyone told you how good you looked lately. Cause I mean man that sweater is really doing you good things today.”
“Oh, thank you, it’s my sister’s,” Edward paused, not really stumbling over his words but it looked like his mind was turned at an incredibly fast speed, “choice. My sister’s choice.”
“Well she sure knows how to make you look good, but I know you can do that all on your own,” Mike continued, grinning wildly at the fact that he might be getting to Edward Cullen of all people. Why didn’t he think of this sooner?
Edward fought through the onslaught of compliments. “Thank you,” he hesitated again, “Mike, but I’m not exactly interested in you. Romantically that it.”
Letting him down easy, he could play at it. “Oh so not your type, no biggie! What about my pal Eric over there, huh? Or maybe Tyler? He’s pretty cute,” Mike began, grabbing onto Edward’s sweater covered shoulder and turning to point to his group of friends who immediately scrambled to look like they weren’t watching their every move.
Edward shrugged off Mike’s hand without touching him. “I’m sorry, I’m sure they’re great people but, I’m not attracted to men.” It was Mike’s turn to look shocked. “And I assume none of you are either.”
Edward blinked innocently at Mike. Mike realized Edward might be referring to his possible bisexuality, yet he hadn’t told anyone about that yet. Hadn’t even figured it out completely. He wondered it if showed or if Cullen could somehow read his thoughts.
Mike cleared his throat. “Oh, um, no. Yeah you’re right we aren’t into guys either. Sorry about all this, it was dare. I wouldn’t have done it if I knew you were actually straight,” he said awkwardly trying to clear the situation.
“It’s alright. You can tell your friends you got me all flustered anyways, I don’t mind,” Edward said, flashing a gloriously crooked smile.
Mike smiles despite how weird it felt. “Uh sure, thanks man. See, uh, see you around.”
He turned to walk back to his friends who again scrambled to look normal, no doubt making bets on how it went down.
“See you in Biology.” He heard it faintly behind him. Mike looks over his shoulder and smiled before jogging back to the tables to recount his tale of wooing the all feared Edward Cullen.
Thanks if you read this far :D

Bingo Fic: Leah/Victoria Fluff
So, this took literally forever to write - which is weird since it's the fic that was by far the easiest to plan out. At least part of it is because the wifi in my new apartment and my computer have a vehement distaste for one another. So I typed it on my computer and copied it into my phone. Anyways! I promised 500 word fics to the first people to fill out my bingo sheet a long while ago, and @effervescent-emmett was one of them! I love you, dude, and thank you for being so patient. And thank you for requesting Leahtoria, which is my heart and soul. It was so much fun to write when I finally got the chance. And I'm pretty sure this is longer than 500 words if that makes up for the lost time. It also definitely fits into the larger Victoria and Bree Cullen AUverse. Hope you like it and again, ilysm.
🖤🐈🧡
She doesn't know how long she sits there, legs crossed and back against the couch, staring at the side of that open cardboard box in the center of the coffee table. The box is white, with thick swishes and stripes of sky blue against which 'We deliver!' is spelt out in chunky block letters.
"What is wrong with you?"
Rosalie's tone wavers between awe and disbelief, and if she didn't know any better, Victoria would mistake her for impressed. As it is, she's pretty sure she's just amazed at the new levels of stupidity reached by her own - well, not flesh and blood, but sister. It seems all eternity has provided her is unlimited opportunities to break her own records.
Victoria groans, slumping over on the table and hiding behind her hands. Normally, she'd have some quip prepared, something about her being what's wrong, or there being something wrong with Emmett for somebody cool like him to see something in her – it doesn't have to be believable, just rude – but she just doesn't have the faculties to be eloquent at the moment.
"I don't know," she says instead, shrugging helplessly. "I don't know."
"Because there must be something wrong with you–"
"I know."
"if you think that..." Even as she points an accusatory finger at the box, Rosalie keeps her appendage close to her chest, as if she's worried getting too close will make her catch the crazy. "... is a good idea."
"I know."
She really does. Victoria tucks an orange curl slipping from her ponytail behind her ear, screwing up her mouth. Slowly, she straightens up, sitting on her haunches, and peers into the open box.
"But look at them," she scowls. "They're pathetic."
Four tiny eyes - one pair gold, the other green - peer back at her from fuzzy, feline faces. The black one squints and meows, like he knows he's been insulted.
"Jesus Christ," Rosalie mutters, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"It's true!" Victoria insists. Brows furrowed, she dips her hand in and scoops up the first fluffy tube to stumble into her hand, lifting it up on display with both hands. The little white calico blinks up at their visitor, paws extended and shoulders hiked up to her little triangle ears, not unlike a zombie. "How are they supposed to hunt for themselves like this? They can't."
"That's what the mother is for." Rosalie crosses her arms and raises a stern brow. "Find the mom. Give them back."
Grimacing, Victoria shakes her head, gently – if a bit awkwardly – placing the kitten back in its makeshift pen.
"Trust me, I'd love to," she mutters, eyes sliding away.
Rosalie's gaze narrows. "And yet?"
"Well," she starts, "Bree and Esme went out for a quick hunt this morning..." The look on her sister's face stops her.
"Oh, no."
"Yeah. Bree's pretty, uh, bummed out about it. So I told her I'd go back and grab the poor thing's kids."
"For God's sake," Rosalie mutters, but her expression is concerned. Then she sighs. "Still, you can't expect them to stay here of all places."
"I'm not that stupid," Victoria grumbled. "Alice helped me find homes for the other three. She took two for the hospital and one to visit Charlie at the station. But there were two left, and I don't have a lot of options, so–"
"Wait," Rosalie sniffs, whipping towards the woods, then snaps back to fix a surprised stare on her sister. "Is that your little werewolf girlfriend?"
"Like I was saying–"
"I thought dogs and cats don't mix."
Victoria rolls her eyes, but she sits back on the couch, shifting nervously. "Would you get out already? I've got this. I'll figure it out."
"I'll hold you to that," she mutters, as she turns on her heel. "Fine, I'm leaving. Keep your pets off the furniture."
"I'm not responding to that," Victoria mumbles, and her sister vanishes just in time for Leah to emerge from the treeline, jogging over to back porch as she makes a last ditch effort to smooth out any tangles in her hair. Her dark stare is soft in the sunlight, creasing gently as her lips stretch into a fond grin. Victoria starts smiling, starts running without even realizing it, suddenly painfully aware of the ache in her stony chest that always creeps in when they've been apart too long. Yanking open the door and leaping forward, she snatches her love into her arms and spins, burying her lips in the crook of her warm neck. Yelping and giggling, Leah wraps her legs around her waist and her arms around her neck, leaning away from her girlfriend's cold nose.
"Warn a girl, would you? I'm ticklish!" She snorts, and though she makes a show of pouting, the redhead obliges and sets her down, hands moving to rest on the small of her back. Her petulance only elicits a smirk in response. "So I take it you missed me?"
"Who would have thought four days could last so long?" Victoria groans, resting her head on her girlfriend's shoulder. "You know I'm so happy and proud of you – you deserve nothing less and way more – but I'd be just as proud if your publisher ran its business out of, I don't know, Canada."
"Aww," Leah hums. "If it helps, San Diego was nice, but it was pretty boring without you."
Victoria straightens and shrugs, trying to hide the way her mouth curls in satisfaction. "A little, maybe."
"A little," Leah nods, smothering her own smile.
Victoria's about to ask how the meeting went, if her editor was nice, when the shifter stiffens, blinking. She turns her head towards the house, mouth pursed, then slowly looks back at her girlfriend.
"Hey... is there a reason why your family's house smells like cats?" She asks, brows creased quizzically.
Going still, Victoria glances between her girlfriend and the door, mouth poised to answer but no sound coming out. After a moment, she reluctantly lets go of Leah's middle, gently removing the arms around her neck and sliding her right hand into Leah's left.
"There was an incident, this morning," she starts, then pauses, searching for the right words. "I have something strange to ask you."
"Okay... I'm listening."
"Do you... have room for a couple of cats?"
"In my apartment?"
"And your heart," Victoria teases, trying for a cheesy smile, but pulling off what feels more like a grimace.
"Are you serious?" For a second, Leah just looks at her, eyes roaming her features like she isn't totally sure she's real, but then she sighs. "Shit. Alright, lead the way."
From Leah, that's actually exactly the response she was hoping for. Hiding a smirk, Victoria pulls her girlfriend in the direction of the mewing box of furry babies, wisely declining to respond when she laments the irony of being born a 'cat person'. And it's true – the second the Clearwater lays eyes on them, you can physically see her fate being sealed. It's pretty adorable, really. She melts in their teeny presences, tucking them close to her chest and planting quick, sneaky kisses on their foreheads as she spouts off her supposedly limited wealth of cat knowledge.
"I'm such a sucker," she laments after fifteen minutes of fawning. She lifts the black kitty up to her face and he licks her nose. "I'm a fool. I deserve this."
Worried what kind of romantic goop will come out if she tried to respond verbally, Victoria just nods, love in her eyes and the fiestiest calico on the planet gnawing fruitlessly on her pinkie.
"And you don't mind this little guy?" Leah asks with a wry glance. The lapse in her attention frustrates the orphan occupying her lap, and soon she's given into the black kitten's insistent mewing and nudging with careful head scratches. "I mean, black cats were said to be bad omens in your day."
"Or witches." She takes a moment to reflect on this, before shrugging. "So were redhead girls who played near the woods."
For a second, she feels her age acutely. She avoids Leah's eyes, thoughtfully running her fingers through the calico's fur, observing quietly as she attempts to knead at her leg. The kitten grows increasingly frustrated as her claws pierce through denim only to scrabble against what may as well be marble. A warm weight settles on Victoria's shoulder, and she leans into it, burying her nose in Leah's dark hair.
"So were women who loved each other, right? And I love you," she murmurs. "So, okay, screw it. More fun to be 'wicked' together."
"A lot more fun," Victoria smirks, turning to press a kiss to the corner of her mouth, but Leah frowns, tapping her nose before it can go any further.
"Not in front of the children," she scolds. "Speaking of which, what are we gonna name these little gremlins?"
Victoria huffs, then looks over the gremlins in question, starting with the one furiously pushing her claws into her jeans in an increasingly erratic rhythm. "I don't know. Spot?"
The suggestion earns her a look of disbelief. "That's a dog name."
"Jake is also a dog name."
"Shut up."
"I like Spot," Victoria insists, "and she's on my lap. I think that gives me naming rights."
"Naming rights." Leah rolls her eyes, before gluing them back to the animal in her own lap. "Okay, fine. We have Spot. Now we just need to figure out this little guy."
"Well, he's on your lap. So the responsibility falls to you."
"Lucky for him," Leah mutters under her breath, then pauses. "What about... Lucky?"
"Huh." Victoria blinks. The corners of her mouth start to twitch. "For our little bad omen?"
Leah shrugs, stroking a finger along his cheek. The purr it drags out is loud enough to startle Spot into looking up from her work on distressing her name-giver's denim. "Yeah, what do you think?"
Victoria looks at the cat in question, who looks back with pleased, gold slits.
"Hey, Lucky," she says. "Meet your sister, Spot."
"And the weirdest parents you could have possible hoped for," Leah laughs, shaking her head.
"Happy-weird," Victoria corrects her.
"Right. Happy-weird."
🖤🐈🧡
And, so it turns out, to the eternal amusement of the entire Olympic Coven – but especially Emmett – that Leah and Victoria are both cat people. Fun fact, immediately after I wrote that bit about Leah teasing Victoria for picking a dog's name, I got excited about naming their black cat Pluto because I thought it was a cute and fitting name. Only to realize a couple lines later that Pluto, is in fact, a very famous dog's name. But lucky - ha! - for me, a cuter name came to me anyway. Oh, sorry for the long post, by the way - I can't figure out how to do Read More on mobile. Okay, two down, two to go! Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed, guys!

Fire (Alec Volturi x Reader)
You didn't know how long it had been since the fire started but your whole house was no engulfed in flames as you sat cross legged on your kitchen floor in complete shock. You didn't call anyone but weren't too surprised to see Carlisle, Emmett, Jasper, the Romanians, Benjamin and the Denali's through the hole where your door once was. "(Y/N)! Get out of there!" Emmett yelled. You looked up from the surrounding flames. "I didn't meant to..." You said. "(Y/N)! Get out of there now!" Jasper yelled. "They warned me about this..." You sobbed. "Alec was worried I'd do something." "(Y/N)! Listen to me!" Carlisle tried a different approach. "It's not safe for you to be in there!" "That's the thing Carlisle...fire doesn't hurt me." You put your hand in the closest roaring flame next to you. "I know! I know, but the house is going to collapse! It isn't stable in there, you have to move!"
In that moment, as though to prove a point, a chunk of the ceiling collapsed in front of you that made you jump. You suddenly understood and had snapped out of your daze. You scrambled to your feet as more of the ceiling above crashed down and blocked your exit. You heard glass shatter around you before locking eyes with Kate from the outside as she lunged and drove her first through the window, shattering it immediately. You were out of time and knew what you had to do. You took a running start and threw yourself out of the opening Kate had created. You landed on the grass, barely aware of the mild scratches you had from the jagged glass shards remaining of the window. None were deep enough to really draw blood, you were lucky. It was then that you heard sirens. "(Y/N), we need to get you out of here!" You heard Jasper call out but didn't catch who had picked you up.
Carlisle put you down as he locked eyes with Esme who stared wide eyed from inside the Cullen home. She hurried away from the window in a flash as Carlisle pulled you to the house. "Come and I'll see to these wounds." The others lingered outside but soon dispersed. "This was very lucky, you barely got a scratch." Carlisle dabbed at the long scratch down your arm. The cotton was mildly tainted with red but as he said, no drops of blood. "Why are the others here?" "Visiting Renesmee."
You were surprised by the response considering the Romanians were also there. You could hear the news in downstairs which you had no doubt was reporting the fire. Once you were cleaned up, you found you were correct. Emmett and Jasper were watching the news intently as it reported a house fire and ultimate collapse of the house. Your home was completely destroyed but they were happy to report there was no one in the house when it caught ablaze. However the cause of the fire was still unknown. "We could smell it." Tanya said to you as Emmett and Jasper acknowledged you with a nod on the sofa. "I don't even know what happened..." You trailed off. "Esme is calling Volterra as we speak. She's going to leave a message to let Alec know what happened." Rosalie said, her hands clasped in front of her with a gentle voice. "More than that, Alec's calling back right now." Alice declared and as such in as the sentence left her mouth, a ringing came from the other room. You heard Esme's heels head down the hall before the ringing stopped.
Later, Carlisle entered the room with Esme. "How are you feeling?" "Is it bad? Did anyone get hurt?" "No. We have planted a source of the fire." Esme took a seat beside you. "(Y/N), you need to tell us what happened." Carlisle joined you both, keeping his voice mellow. "I don't remember, I was day dreaming. One minute I was staring at a candle that was left in the kitchen, the next, everything was up in flames." You seemed helpless, just as eager for answers as they were. "Well, you should know that Alec has been in touch. The Volturi would like you to stay with them." Esme put a gentle hand on your shoulder to reassure you. "He's very worried." You nodded slowly. "I'll go."
Heidi locked eyes with you and beckoned you over with a smile. You were surprised to see her outside when the sun was beaming down but then again, she was completely shaded and the layout of the tour line didn't make it seem unnatural. "It's so good to see you, darling. If you wait in the reception, you'll be seen to once the tour is finished." You knew what that meant. That meant, you'd be seen to once they'd all ate, reducing the chances of someone taking a bite. You nodded, with a forced smile, uncomfortable to see the long line of oblivious humans gawking and pointing at their surroundings. You opened the door and stepped inside. It was cold, a complete contrast to outside, as well as darker but that wasn't too surprising considering the castles occupants.
You sat on a bench, looking around and no more than five minutes later, Heidi, followed by many humans walked by. "This way, please. Stay together!" She called back cheerily. When passing, she shot her smile at you. You tried not to think too hard about where they were going and that they wouldn't be coming back. You rubbed your eyes and you heard more footsteps. Felix and Demetri, turned the corner and it was only when Demetri looked back that the two noticed you. "Oh hello, (Y/N). I didn't expect you'd be here so soon. How was your flight?" Demetri asked as the two towered over you. "Long." You smiled weakly. "I hate planes." The two seemed to find that amusing. "Well, we won't keep you long. You know how it is." You nodded again. "Yeah, I understand." "Speaking of which, we better go or we won't get to feed." Demetri nodded to you before the two continued to the elevator. "See you soon, (Y/N)!" Felix called back with a slight wave on his hand.
It was a long wait, yet it wasn't long enough. Your mind was turning over the many humans who were dying in that moment and you gave nothing of a warning. The receptionist didn't say a word, the only sound being her typing on the keyboard with light taps. You didn't even realize when she had gotten up and was bent over you slightly, holding out a plastic cup of water. "Thank you." You took the cup gratefully and she nodded at you with a smile before turning to her desk. The water helped a little. After thirty minutes, you were stunned to see Heidi lightly jog up to you but you caught her discreetly wiping the corners of her mouth. "Our sincerest apologies, we'll be taking a little longer but we are aware that you must be feeling tired. If you come down this hall, we can take you to a more suitable area to rest."
Heidi led you down a hall and into small room. It was well decorated, modern, and had a few soft sofas. However, the Volturi had no need for this so you wondered if this was more of a pointless room that needed to be filled. You sat on the furthest couch as Heidi encouraged you to rest, setting a nearby folded blanket beside you with the final assurance that they'd try to be as quick as they could. You couldn't stay awake when you buried yourself under the blanket and left alone in silence. You told yourself this was no time for sleeping but you continued to fall into a dreamless sleep.
You heard hushed voices. "Yes, Jane. I'm going in now...very well." You were driven out of your sleep when the door shut even though you weren't awake enough to have heard it open. You cracked your eyes open to see Alec steadily moving towards you. He pulled a grimace. "Oh, I'm sorry. I was hoping not to wake you." "Alec?" "Who else, sleepy?" Alec sat in the space by your stomach, just in front of your curled up legs and smoothed your hair. "How long have I...?" You trailed off. "The safe estimate is about two hours. We hadn't fed for a while prior which made quite a mess." Alec absent-mindedly tucked a lock of your hair behind your ear. "You don't need to worry about that. It's all clean now and my attention is on you. Which brings us to the point, are you alright? No burns? No physical injuries?" He looked you up and down. You lifted your sleeve and sections of your top to show him your scratches. "No burns, fire can't hurt me but a few cuts from the glass." You said nervously. "Glass?" Alec's brow furrowed. "I threw myself out of a window to get out. The building was going to collapse." You immediately jumped at his alarmed look. "Don't worry though. These make it look a lot worse than it is." You had meant for it to comfort Alec...but it didn't seem like it did much comforting. "What's going to happen to me?" You asked Alec, your voice quiet. "Aro will inspect you and you'll be changed. Your in a better environment with people that could help you. All we ask is little trust." He explained looping your arm on his before leading you to the throne room.
Aro was determined that changing you would be the best course of action and working from there. However, once changed, you completely lost control. It was like trying to use your talents in a body that wasn't your own. It was out of sync and awkward. The biggest flames occurred when you were in a trance like state, forcing yourself to day dream.
Caius then wanted you under supervision at all times-after you nearly set one of the rooms ablaze-which meant you were there when trials went ahead. This guy, whoever he was, really made you uncomfortable. Something just didn't sit right about him. The prisoner lunged at you. Somehow you felt more than prepared for him. In fact, you loved that he had chosen to pick a fight with you. Just as he grabbed you by the upper arms you had locked your own grip on his arms. A sizzling was heard and the prisoner screeched trying to wretch himself away from you but to no avail. You were a newborn and so much stronger than he anticipated. Your stare was locked onto him as he suddenly was engulfed with flames. He screamed as you let go. He flailed around in agony as you watched stoically, seemingly in a trance.
The Volturi watched the scene in slight alarm, their gazes racing back and forth from the burning vampire to you until finally he vampire collapsed to the ground. Alec stepped in front of you, pressing his cold hands to your face. "(Y/N)?" His hands and the sound of his voice slowly broke your trance. You blinked a few times, trying to remember what had just happened. "Is he gone? Is-" You gasped in horror to see the charred remains of a vampire behind Alec. You staggered back but was quickly halted by Alec who had taken hold of your upper arms. "What did I do!? What have I done!?" Alec shushed you calmly. "Look at me." You couldn't tear your eyes from the charred remains. "Sweet face, look at me." Alec quietly pleaded. "Calm down. Everything is alright. Focus on me." "I'm sorry! I didn't meant to!" "I think we've found a use for (Y/N)." Caius said darkly with a sickening grin. "(Y/N), stay focused on me. It's alright, everything is alright." Alec pressed his hands to your face making sure you looked no where but him. "I'm going to take you somewhere else okay?" Alec began walking you out the room, releasing your face and wrapping his arms around around you.
The next day was rather peaceful until Felix burst into your room. "Alright kid, ready to work some magic?" "This is a terrible idea." You shook your head at the candle in front of you. "I've been setting fires as tall as doors since I got here. What makes you think I'll ever be able to light a candle?" "because you've done it before." Demetri walked around you and bent down to your level of the chair you sat on. "You’ve been distracted since you got here. The more distractions, the less focus, the larger the flame to anything. Those curtains last week can testify to that. You didn't get a new body, (Y/N). Your body got better. This isn't about expanding you power. It's the opposite, it's limiting it, bending it to your will." "I've never lit a candle with my eyes though. I always did this." You lifted the candle out of it's holder and sure enough with your palm at the bottom a very large flame grew upon the candle." "So don't use your hands and use it with your eyes." Demetri didn't budge and so you sighed, putting it back. You didn't know where to even begin. How was anyone certain that you wouldn't just be embarking on a staring contest with a candle? One that you could now never win nor lose. You huffed but focused on the candle as best you could, using the silence to your advantage.
"(Y/N), that's your left arm." Demetri said. "What?" You looked down and sure enough a large flame was dancing up your arm. You huffed and batted at the flame, extinguishing it. "Try again, don't think about us. Forget we're even here." He might have been on to something, they were on your left and you were very aware of their presence. You focused again. Your brow furrowed before slowly relaxing something felt familiar and gradually a small flame sat on the wick of the candle. You gasped. "I did it! Aww.." your celebration was over quickly for it went out immediately. Demetri chuckled. "Again." You didn't see Demetri mouth something to Felix who smiled and left. You flapped your hands, preparing yourself. "Right screw the candle. I need something a little bit bigger to work with." You moved onto your knees and held out your hands, staring down at them. "What are you doing?" "Shhh!" You hushed him brashly, not taking your eyes from your hands. Slowly, a flame as wide as your palm grew. "Are you using your hands?" Demetri asked. "No. It doesn't feel the same. I feel it in my head. If I was using my hands, I'd feel it in my hands." You became aware of another presence to see both Felix and Alec in the door way. You gave them a small smile before looking down. Alec saw how the fire danced in your eyes. The flame in your hand was oddly calming, flickering ever so slightly. Your progress picked up quickly after that. The more you understood of your new body, the easier it had become to use your gift.
50 years later...
Caius turned to you with a nod. Both Alec and Jane on either side of you. You stared at the vampire that lay in pieces and within a second. A fire reflected in your eyes and immediately after, a fire grew on the body parts and continued to do so. The fires light reflected in your gold Volturi crest which lay just an inch below the ribbon of your black as night cloak, which you had most certainly earned.

A very Wayne Christmas
Merry Christmas to my favorite Tim @thirdbirddown
Rosalie hummed softly walking around Wayne Manor, it was a 3 day weekend at the schools, she was ecstatic that all four of her younger brothers would be home for Christmas this year. She'd informed them that she'd be sending illusions of the three boy wonder turned heroes to their new residence so they could be home the entire two days, the aforementioned two days was a month away and so everyone in the manor was doing what they could to get Tim to snort while laughing so they could reach their 'goal' of 200 dollars seeing as they were only 2 dollars off it'd be easy and they'd have roll over to start for the next year.
"Drake where's my hood?!?" Damian's voice rang out as he got ready for the nightly now family patrol, "you did the laundry you should know where the hell it is" the newest bird snapped from his room.
"Damian stop screaming" Rose groaned going to Damian's room where he was pulling on Robin's boot, "I saw it in the drier and put it on top of it" she told him as she shifted her organic Martian clothes into Nightingale's suit looking at the Boy Wonder as he ran to the laundry room.
Red Robin came jogging down the hall towards his sister pulling on his own hooded cape in the process, "I must've missed it when I grabbed everyone's uniform" he said softly as Nightingale helped him fasten it on.
"Everyone messes up Timbo don't worry" Nightingale soothed him as she got his cape to lay right, "it's also Damian who could stub his toe at home while you were on patrol and he'd blame you" she chuckled kissing his nose.
Red Robin chuckled softly at her comment, "it is" he laughed covering his mouth after he snorted hiding his face in her shoulder when she embraced him.
"Embrace your snort kiddo" Nightingale told her brother digging into his sides playfully smiling when he snorted loudly and laughed into her shoulder, "let's go on patrol" she smiled heading for the secret door with Damian on their heels.
"Alright as usual we're doing teams" Batman spoke as the five joined him in the cave, "Robin with me obviously, Red Robin will go with Nightingale and Red Hood will go with NightWing" he stated ignoring Jason's jab at Tim's hero name.
"Noted" Nightingale stated following Red Robin to his bike, "c'mon Timbo" she grinned as he got on surprisingly willing to let her drive.
Red Robin hummed softly laying against his sister as she drove them to their usual sector of Gotham leaving the bike behind Wayne Tower, "let's get scaling" he told her as they hid his bike.
"Up up and on the Tower" Nightingale joked lifting Red Robin before jumping into the air flying them to the top of Wayne Tower where they sat down to watch the skies, "and now we wait" she said casually as they sat down. "Hey wanna play a card game?"she asked her brother pulling a deck of cards out of the utility belt NightWing gave her, "Go-fish, Poker, war" she listed their usual games.
"How about Red or Black?" Red Robin asked, "or Odds or Evens" he suggested.
"Why not both?" Nightingale smiled, "odds or evens and Red or Black" she shuffled the deck getting ready to make this patrol more interesting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey Tim I got a joke for you" Rose flashed up to her brothers side on Christmas eve night, "what is a Jedi's favorite Italian dessert?" she quirked a brow.
"Um… I don’t know?” Tim was confused by her sudden need to tell him a star wars joke. “Gelato? Sorbet? I don’t know.”
“Nope” she shook her head grinning intending to make a dollar before they went to sleep in Bruce's room, “Obi Wan Cannoli“ she informed him imitating Yoda flawlessly making a noise similar to the GameGrumps video.
Oh no that’s a good one, Oh no he snorted laughing. Abort mission. Tim hated when he snorted but it seemed everyone in the manor loved hearing it, especially his sister. "Aha funny Joke" Rose chuckled as Tim laughed snorting into his hand, "I love you Timbo" she doted on her little brother as she embraced him from behind. "You know we all love you so much" she pressed a kiss to his cheek blowing air against it making him laugh more, "I love how easy it is to get you laughing and that it continues on it's own even from a single word" she told him as he started calming down.
Jason had been passing the kitchen when he heard his brothers hysteric snort riddled laughter, "DOOKIE!" he crowed from outside the door just as as Tim's laughter died down.
Tim snorted loudly and cracked up laughing all over again, he didn't know why but something about the word 'dookie' always had him busting a gut.
"I got three you got one" Rose told Jason as Tim bent over laughing trying to catch his breath, "c'mon Timbo let's brush our teeth then get our sleeping bags" she smiled at him.
"Let's" Tim smiled at his sister and at Jason who was in the doorway laughing, "I'm tired from all of that laughing" he yawned leaning against his sister as she and Jason walked him to the nearest bathroom since they had toothbrushes in all of them.
"We'll sleep great" Rose smiled at Tim rubbing his stomach as they walked to bathroom, "love you boys" she told her brothers as they got their toothbrushes ready.
"We love you too Ro" Tim smiled at his sister before he started brushing his teeth, "you too but not as much" he jokingly told Jason with a mouthful of sudsy Tooth Paste.
"Geez Timbo thanks" Jason dipped his hand in the running faucet flicking water in his brothers face, "Rose don't start" he laughed when she got her hand ready.
"Than behave" Rose told her brothers as she started brushing her teeth, she rinsed and spit in the sink rinsing her brush.
"I am behaving" Tim pouted after spitting in the sink, "can I cuddle up to you" he asked her laughing when she embraced him rubbing his side softly.
"I'm not" Jason giggled rinsing his mouth out a few times, "I wil behave though since we'll be in Bruce's room" he reassured her.
"of course you can Timbo" Rose told her younger brother as they made their way to the camping closet for their bags since they'd been in the PJ's all day, "thanks JayBird" she smiled pulling Jason to her side where the trio approached Bruce's room with sleeping bags and pillows.
"Took you long enough Nichols" Damian grumbled as Rose entered setting up her sleeping bag at the foot of Bruce's bed with Tim's right next to her, "why're you over there?" he asked her before watching Tim unroll his sleeping bag and lay it next to her eventually curling up in it snuggled up to Rose.
"Tim's snuggling up to me this year Pidge" she said a little apologetically as she held Tim, "you can lay on my other side" she held her free arm to the new boy wonder who 'begrudgingly' laid next to her.
"Night" Damian and Tim said at the same time, they stopped themselves from glaring at each other seeing as they always forced themselves to behave for Christmas especially if Rose was over.
"Thanks for not trying to kill Tim" she smiled at Damian as Stephanie and Barbara entered the room with their sleeping bags followed by Alfred with cocoa sometimes cocoa before bed didn't hurt even if you already brushed your teeth, "pretty sure everyone appreciates it" she chuckled.
"Hot chocolate anyone?" Alfred's slightly softer voice offered, he handed the mugs out sitting on the bed that pulled out of the loveseat in Bruce's room seeing as he wasn't one for sleeping on the floor.
"Thank you" the gratitude echoed around the room as everyone accepted their mugs and settled into their spots, they relaxed and sipped their drinks as Rose opened her laptop to a long video she had of fireplace sounds to they could enjoy the sound without making the room too hot with an actual fire and every human inhabitant of the manor in one room.
As mugs were emptied they were quietly placed on the thankfully tidy desk in the room, it didn't take long for the soothing crackling to lull the large group to sleep in groups of one to three at a time. Periodically throughout the night a kid would get up to use the bathroom or get water, rather than return to their sleeping bags some found their way to Bruce's bed and some found their way to Alfred's bed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bruce woke up in the morning to the sensation of a foot digging into his side, looking down he found Damian, Rose and Tim laying on either of his sides with Damian's foot pressed against his side. He looked over at Alfred where Jason, Dick and the girls were cuddled up to Alfred who had an arm around each girl as the boys essentially boxed them in. Noting it was only 6:30 he figured it wouldn't hurt to let them sleep more, he found the stockings littering the room and smiled seeing a thick envelope in Tim's figuring Rose must've flashed around to gather them and of course fill them with her yearly 'hero' plush or in Alfred's case it was himself as a knitted plush toy.
Rose snuggled closer to her Gotham guardian while she held Tim to her heart, she stretched out a little feeling her feet bump against something and figured it had to be Titus with how fluffy it felt. She smiled feeling the way Tim burrowed deeper into her hold with his face hidden in her collarbone, the Fireplace video had been stopped and now warm Glee Christmas music played a little feature she'd asked Dick to set up for her so she could have her music transition for a nice wake-up call on Christmas morning.
"The lights on my tree I wish you could see I wish it ev'ry day Logs on the fire Fill me with desire To see you and to say"
The music filled the room as a soft hum of piano and singing, slowly Alfred was drawn out of his sleep and finally seemed to notice his 'grandkids' cuddled up close to him. He allowed a sleepy smile and sat up getting off of the bed from the end to avoid jostling the children, he let out a soft happy sigh at the music and went to start breakfast. "Young Miss I do hope I didn't wake you somehow" he said noting Rose trailing after him in the full body sock monkey pajamas she wore every Christmas, he smiled softly as she walked beside him on their way to the kitchen.
"You didn't wake me grandpa" Rose reassured Alfred as she followed him and started to set the table without using her speed, "I figured I'd help you prepare breakfast and set the turkey in the oven for dinner" her stomach growled under her pajamas.
Alfred allowed a chuckle as he washed his hands and insisted she do the same before gathering the ingredients and molds for chocolate chip pancakes, he smiled as Rose gathered the tray the Turkey would go in and started setting up the baste for it.
"Merry Christmas grandpa" Rose smiled at Alfred as she started to prepare the large Turkey she'd purchased for the family and may or may not plan to enlarge using a bit of magic once it was ready, she beamed when he pressed his lips to head as they started working on their own meal preparation.
"Merry Christmas Young Miss" Alfred smiled sweetly at Rosalie as she hung a mistletoe in the kitchen entryway, "for your brothers and Master Bruce I assume?" he chuckled to himself before returning to the pancakes.
Rose smiled softly working on basting the Turkey while she waited for the oven to be ready, she started to sing 'Welcome Christmas' from 'How the Grinch stole Christmas' as she started getting everything else ready while she waited for the smell to wake her Gotham family.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After everyone had eaten breakfast and the dishwasher was loaded the family migrated from the dining room to the living room where the tree stood, they all sat down and Bruce handed out their stockings first knowing how important it was to Rose that Tim get the envelope first.
Everyone gathered around the tree accepting their stockings and dug in eagerly aside from Tim who was curious about the thick manila envelope on top the just had his name on it, everyone looked at Tim whose stocking had slipped from his grip after he opened the envelope.
"Who on earth got me $200?" Tim asked curiously tearing up, "seriously who did this" he looked around as Rose embraced him rubbing his back soothingly.
"That can be answered later Drake" Damian told Tim yelping when Rose woman-handled him into her lap, he grumbled but stopped as the gifts were sorted and presented to the kids.
"Thank you" the kids thanked him, Rosalie sat Damian between herself and Dick before the kids turned their attention to their gifts once the camera was on its tripod.
"Youngest to oldest" Rose smiled tweaking Damian's neck with a few wiggly fingers making the 13 year old snort and swat her hand away before grabbing the first gift off of his pile one from her, "Merry Christ Pigeon" she smiled returning the boy to her lap watching him open the box set of Charles Dickens work.
"Thank you Nichols" Damian said softly eyeing the box set of books, he couldn't really hide the childish shimmer of excitement as he looked at the complete set.
Stephanie and Barbara each opened one beaming at the different make-up sets, Rose was bad at shopping for them so it was usually money or make-up.
Jason eyed Tim's pile grabbing one particular gift and handing it to him, he looked to Rose and bobbed his eyebrows.
"Eager much?" Tim quirked a brow at Jason looking at the gift from his brother, shrugging he tore into the wrapping unearthing the puzzle his brother bought him. "You did not, get me a Batman puzzle" Tim laughed looking at the puzzle box with the picture of Batman on it, "why?" he asked jokingly as he pulled his brother into a hug.
"Because that's hilarious" Jason laughed, "okay my turn" he grinned opening his gift and cracking up. "Rose!" he looked to his sister, "really?!" in his hands was a mug with 'worlds okayest son' written on it in curly Black handwriting.
"Yes really" Dick grinned at his brother, "now suck it up" he laughed grabbing his gift opening it. "This is beautiful Damian" he had grabbed a manila envelope off of his stack and opened it, "I can't get over how amazing you are" he smiled holding a sketch of himself and all of the others.
"You should get used to it Grayson" Damian smirked, he didn't put up much of a fuss when Rose settled him into her lap. "Your turn Nichols" Damian told Rosalie leaning against his sisters chest grabbing a gift and handing it to her, "this one" he grinned at her when she accepted it.
"Alright Pigeon" Rose smiled sweetly taking the gift and unwrapping it, "Damian this is amazing, thank you" she hugged the boy pressing her lips to his cheek as she held the copy of Edgar Allan Poe stories and poems.
"I know you love Poe's work" Damian said casually as he rubbed his cheek where she'd kissed him, "father you next" he told the man of the house who had one of the largest piles out of everyone.
"Alright" Bruce chuckled eyeing his pile, seeing the word 'DICK' written on one he laughed and grabbed it while the kids hit Dick with pillows seeing as they'd brought their pillows down from his room. "Dick this is wonderful" he told his oldest 'son' as he held a framed photo of Batman and every Robin along with Nightingale and BatGirl all together, "I have the perfect place for this" he smiled looking at the photo framed beautifully in a Golden frame.
"Is it the one the commissioner took?" Stephanie asked Dick curiously looking at him, she smiled when he nodded.
"Alfred's turn" Rose cheered pulling a gift from behind the couch offering it to Alfred who smiled, "I hope you like this" she smiled at her 'grandfather' as he accepted the gift.
"That was very sweet of you Young Miss" Alfred smiled accepting the present and sitting beside Bruce to open it, "this is...amazing Rose" he said softly opening the box to reveal a clearly handmade Clock with many hands rather than 2 and instead of hours it had destinations. "Would you look at that" he said softly, "Home, 'a walk', work, school, club, Rose's house, Fort 1, Fort 2, Fort 3" he chuckled feeling his heart melt seeing Bruce, all 4 boys, and all 3 of the girls even himself on each hand.
"I saw a clock on FaceBook where you could sync the hands up to an app on someone's phone and GPS connects to it showing where they are on the hand" Rose smiled, "watch" she turned the clock on and every hand moved to 'home' since they all had the GPS on 24/7 so they could always find one another.
"This will give me a great sense of mind Rose" Alfred told her, "thank you, very much" he sat it on the couch and embraced the girl who wrapped her arms around his neck hiding her face in his collarbone a little teary eyed over how happy he was with the clock.
"Well back to the presents" Dick commented, "Damian's getting antsy and that's rare" he chuckled.
Everyone got comfortable in their seats and started opening their gifts once Alfred had sat down as well, soon the manor was filled with Christmas music and a symphony as shredding wrapping paper.

Out of the Darkness || AU Death Headcanon
He was the last one. Thane was actually happy to be the last one to be on watch. He never minded a patrol duty. It was actually nice to be the one to wake up to watch the creeping sun rise in the sky and light up the slowly deteriorating buildings of Los Angeles. He never thought that he could find beauty in the slow death of the things around him, but he did. This was a terrible world that he found himself in but there wasn’t anything that he could do to stop any of it from happening. He often wondered what the point was in any of them fighting to survive. His feelings were that they would all die sooner, rather than later, but what was the point in telling people to stop trying? Everyone had this strange urge to survive, even despite impossible odds.
Thane was thinking of that very train of thought when he first heard it. It was so faint at first that he almost didn’t catch it. Then it happened again. He knew at the second instance that it wasn’t a mistake any longer. The sound was not very close, it couldn’t have been, but he knew that what he was hearing had to be coming from a lot of sources. Thane stood up from his spot, and tried to catch sight of what was causing the far off sounds. It had to be some of the dead, only they made that horrendous sound, the sound that reminded him that they weren’t alive, but not completely dead. His eyes scouted the surrounding area for a moment before he squinted his eyes seeing far off movement. His squinting eyes went from narrow, to wide with fear in only a matter of seconds. His source of the noise was confirmed, but much worse was the fact that it was a large swarm of zombies headed in their direction.
There wasn’t a lot of time to think. He had to come up with a plan. The swarm of zombies was far too large for them to fight off and succeed, or at least not all of them would come out alive. Everyone was asleep, oddly enough, it struck him how peacefully they were sleeping when he knew the threat that was headed in their direction. No, I have time. He thought to himself. If he distracted the swarm of zombies they would chase him. He could get them away from the group and ensure their safety. It was the only logical option. Waking everyone up to face this large of a group would lead to a slaughter. If they didn’t all die, the majority would, and what good would it be if many of them died?
With a deep, yet shaky breath Thane glanced at each of the people individually. He still had time. Rosalie, he hadn’t gotten to know her very well. He should have spent more time, she had seemed nice. Remi, he had considered her a friend before all of this happened. She was full of adventure, and he was sure she would be fine for a long time yet. The large form of Malu was next, and he smiled a bit. Malu had only just celebrated his birthday, and Thane would be more than happy to give him a chance at another year, although he knew Malu was an incredibly talented fighter. Tomlin, they had been searching for supplies together for a little while what seemed like only a short moment ago. The man had gone through enough. Alessandra, a bright and intelligent light, she had her family to get back to. Their large group at the estate needed her to be around for a long time to come. Then came the two hardest to say goodbye to although they would never know it. Thane knelt down beside Bayoa and Genaya, he gave them a sad smile. Genaya, with all her promise. She had been so strong, and he wanted her to live long past this moment, maybe she would be able to even see life after this horror. Bayoa, a brother, in his mind. He wanted him to go back home to see his pregnant wife and be with their child. His family would lose far too much if he were lost. “Good luck, may you live to see the end of this.” He whispered before rising and turning to face what would likely be sure death.
The horde had gotten a good deal closer now. He could see them much better now, even without squinting his eyes. Thane did a quick check of what he had. He had a small pistol, that would be the last thing he would use. It would be for his last moment of desperate effort. He had a crowbar that he had found during their search. He had at least two other knives on his person. That would have to be enough, and maybe he would be lucky enough to find refuge in some place and wait it all out, or find another escape. Anything else that he’d had on him would be left. Anything that the others could make use of would be left behind. He needed to travel lightly. He needed to be able to utilize his speed to the best of his ability. It would be his only saving grace.
Another deep breath, and Thane began walking towards the zombies. To say that he was fearless was foolish. He was utterly terrified. He could feel the tremor in his hands as he made his way closer and closer to the threat. He balled his free hand into a fist, and tightened his grip on the crowbar in his other hand, trying to stop the shaking, but the shaking found it’s way to his legs next. It seemed like an eternity before he began to go from walking, to jogging. Only an idiot would run towards such a merciless group of terror, but Thane knew what he was doing was the only way. It was the only thing that gave him the courage to face this. Soon, he found himself running at the zombies. “Hey!” He called. “HEY!”
Faces turned, grunted, growled, in his direction. The movement of the horde went from a slow shuffle to a hurried frenzy. He ran from one end, across them towards the other end making sure to catch the attention of all of them. “COME ON!” He growled out loud as he turned to jog backwards to make sure they were all following him. They were, and wasn’t that a damn disaster. Thane turned and began to run, legs churning below him, arms pumping, one hand feeling the reassuring weight of the crowbar. He chanced a look over his shoulder, they were still following. Good, he thought.
Thane kept on running, he kept pushing, he ignored any feelings of fatigue, or the ache in his legs from running so hard. None of that mattered. What mattered right now was that he kept on going. Keep moving. Keep moving. It was the mantra in his head as ragged breaths escaped him. He had to make quick decisions, but he couldn’t be too fast and completely lose the interest of the zombies. Before he knew it, though, he turned a corner and found himself caught. A barrier lay before him, he still had room. Maybe he could take a few of the zombies out first.
He swung the crowbar at the head of the first zombie, then the next, shuffling out of reach the whole time. The third one, however, was unfortunate as his crowbar dug right in, and when he tugged to swing again it was lodged in the head of that one. Two zombies were closing in on him at that point. “SHIT!” He yelled, pulling out his knives and stabbing both of them in the head. He turned and ran towards the barrier, his eyes all the time trying to find some way of getting him over it, around it, past it. It was coming at him at a frighteningly quick pace, and he had little time to come up with a plan as good as leading the zombies away from his group.
Throwing down his knives, he went straight at the barrier trying to push the growing fear out of his mind. His first attempt at climbing up it, he failed, the second attempt, also a failure. The zombies were too close now. Their sounds were echoing in his head so loudly now that he knew there was no option. Last resort, or let them get him? The choice was simple. He didn’t want to let them take him. He didn’t want to have the smallest opportunity of changing into one of those disgusting things. There was no way he could go that way. If he was going to die, he was going to ensure it was the only way.
Thane spun around seeing the gap between the zombies and himself closing almost in slow motion. He pulled the gun out. He knew he had ten bullets left. He was going to take out some of these zombies before his end came. Thane took aim, and shot once, twice, three times. The sounds of his gun echoed around him, drowning out the sounds of the zombies. Finally, he had one bullet left. Thane felt an odd calm settle over him, he looked up to the sky, the colors were beautiful and he couldn’t help but think how odd it was that anything could be so beautiful at the end. Then he pulled the trigger...

Frozen Within the Night Wind: Jasper Hale x Fleur Swan, Chapter 6
None of the characters in Twilight belong to me. All rights go to Stephenie Meyer.
"Baby, you don't wanna leave You'd be sorry, 'cause honestly I can make you feel better, any day Look at what you've done for me, I called it how I see You belong with me."
Stick by: BANKS
For the next few weeks Me, the Cullens, and the wolves have been keeping watch on Bella and Charlie. It wasn't an easy alliance and anytime Sam or Leah went onto patrol they wouldn't even acknowledge me. So I often patrolled with Emmett and Jasper to make things less tense. Tonight however I had no choice but to patrol with one of the wolves... a plus side about tonight though, Bella wouldn't be here... she was out with Jacob right now. I had made an excuse that I was staying with the Cullens for the night so dad wouldn't be too suspicious.
"Are you sure Darlin, I can stay behind on this hunt to be with you."
"I'll be fine...I'm sure Sam won't do anything to me. Besides, I've already hunted for the week...you haven't hunted these past two trips because of me...Go I promise I'll be fine."
He sighed before wrapping his arms around me and laying his head on my shoulder. It didn't last long however since we heard rustling behind us. We both turned to see Sam in his wolf form standing there.
"I'll see you later love."
"Bye love."
When Jasper left Sam stood next to me, he didn't look at me at all. We sat in silence for an hour when I finally decided to say something.
"Look...I know I'm probably just going to end up talking to the air tonight but...I need to get some facts straight."
Sam just huffed in his place.
"None of the Cullens turned me...if they would've gotten to me quick enough I wouldn't even be patrolling my dad and Bella right now."
Sam seemed to be staring at me out of the corner of his eye.
"I don't know who he is...but someone working with Victoria turned me...If I am being completely honest I think it's the intruder we're looking for right now."
Sam huffed again.
"And I know you are absolutely disgusted with what I am now but... I really miss you, and Emily... Seth and Leah too. But I know I can't go down there anymore and Leah completely hates my guts but I just had to get off my chest." I looked away from Sam, feeling completely embarrassed that I spouted all of that out. Then suddenly, I felt some fuzzy nuzzle into my hand. I smiled and pet him, it seems he's warming up to me again.
"Thanks, Sam..."
Our heads both shot up as we heard movement and for a split second I saw firey red curls go across the way.
"Let's go Sam!" I said and started running toward her, he followed me a second afterward. She noticed us running toward her and took off back into the woods.
"Sam go back onto your territory so she can't jump back without being caught."
He followed my command surprisingly.
"I thought you were great at self-preservation Curly, but to come right to her house, right near the Cullens isn't very smart now is it?"
She didn't acknowledge me. Suddenly... something popped up in my head... I looked at Sam and winked, I mouthed to him that I had an idea.
Victoria stopped in her tracks and stuttered.
"James?"
I stopped running and crept up behind her, not wanting to let the hallucination go to waste. Carlisle was right... this second power would be useful to me. The image of James just looked at her with deadly eyes.
"James... how are you... here?"
"What are you doing with him?" "James," asked.
"It's not like that...It just so I could avenge you." Victoria stated.
"You disgust me..."
I was just about to get behind her and grab her neck when she snapped out of it and flipped me over and sent me into a tree. She took off again, leaving us in the dust. Sam jumped back over to me and nudged me with his head.
"I'm okay Sam... we need to go back to the house in case someone else shows up again. When we made it back to the house I saw Jasper and Rosalie standing in our spot looking confused.
"What happened? Why did you leave?" Jasper asked.
"We saw Victoria and chased after her...we couldn't catch her."
"Damn it," Jasper grumbled.
"Were you close to getting her?" Rosalie asked.
"I was inches away from grabbing her by the neck... I guess the hallucination I made wore off..."
"Can you tell where she's going now?" Rosalie questioned.
"I can try... the tracking is still a little wonky sometimes." I got into that trance again attempting to track her,
"It looks like she's going to Oregon..."
"Oregon what is she going to do in Oregon?" Jasper inquired.
"I can't tell..."
Before anyone could say anything else Jacob's car pulled up, Edwards was not too far behind.
"Uh oh... this can't be good," I said, I then began to jog toward the situation, it soon turned into an argument.
"IF YOU EVER TOUCH HER AGAINST HER WILL AGAIN!" Edward roared.
"Guys don't do this here!" Bella pleaded.
"She doesn't know what she wants."
"Hey what the hell happened?" I asked.
"Jacob kissed me..." Is all she said.
"Wait for her to say the words," Edward said.
"What... Edward do you want her to be in a relationship with him? You're losing the argument here bud. bring it back!" I thought to myself.
"Fine, and she will."
"Jacob just go okay?"
"Hey, hey hey... break it up you two," Dad said, he must've heard the commotion.
"Okay... what's going on?"
"I kissed Bella... and she broke her hand, punching my face... total misunderstanding."
I couldn't help but bust out in laughter... this whole situation was something you would find in a crappy soap opera they play at 4 in the morning when no one is awake to see them.
"What are you doing back here Fleur?" Dad asked.
I came up with a lie quickly.
"Oh I forgot some toiletries... and I came back down to get them." luckily my car was still here.
When I pretended to grab my items I came back outside, Bella and Edward were gone. I kissed my dad on the cheek and wished him a goodnight and drove back down to the Cullen's house. When I came in Carlisle was wrapping up Bella's hand, everyone else was sitting in the room with them. I sat by Rosalie and Jasper, just observing the situation, Emmett walked in with a smirk on his face.
"Geez did you try and walk and chew gum at the same time Bella?"
"No, I punched a werewolf in the face."
"Badass...you're going to be a tough little newborn."
Rosalie and I looked up, now focused on the conversation.
"Tough enough to take you on." She said with a smirk.
Rosalie slammed down the paper she was reading and left the room. Bella just rolled her eyes and sighed. I looked at Jasper and he nodded, I slinked out of the room without anyone noticing or so I thought.
"Hey, Rose."
"I can't stand your sister."
"I know the feeling."
"But at the same time... I envy her too."
I pulled her in for a hug, trying to comfort her.
I heard the slight sound of a door opening and closing again.
"What do you want Bella?" I asked.
"You can go and blather about the joys of being a newborn with someone else." Rosalie added.
"Okay... Rosalie, I don't know what I did... to make you hate me so much."
"How many times do I have to say it... If you treat someone I am really close to like dirt... then I'm going to hate your guts."
Bella scoffed.
"I envy you also Bella."
"What? That's ridiculous!"
"It's not...Bella." I jumped in
"How is it not?"
"You had a choice... we didn't... none of us do and you're choosing wrong, I don't care how miserable your human life is," Rosalie explained.
"My life is not miserable. It’s not perfect, nobody’s life is perfect." Bella stated.
"Mine was. Absolutely perfect. There were things I still wanted. To be married with a nice house and a husband who kissed me when he came home. A family of my own... Royce King was the most eligible bachelor in town, I barely knew him. But I was young, I was in love with the idea of love. On the last night of my life, I left a friend’s house late visiting her newborn son, I wasn’t far from home… They left me in the street thinking I was dead, believe me I wanted to be. Carlisle then found me, he smelled all the blood, but he thought he was helping me."
"I'm... so sorry." I said... I had never heard how she got changed until now.
"That's terrible," Bella added.
"I got my revenge on them, one at a time. I saved Royce for last so he would know I was coming. I was a little theatrical back then."
"That's not theatrical... that's bad ass," I said, Rosalie cracked a smile.
"Things got better after I met Emmett, but we’ll always be this, frozen, never moving forward. That’s what I miss the most, possibilities, sitting on a front porch somewhere, Emmett grey-haired by my side surrounded by our grandchildren, their laughter."
"I understand that’s what you want. There’s nothing I’m ever gonna want more than Edward." Bella argued.
"You’re wrong again, after you’ve been changed there’s one thing you’ll want more. One thing you’ll kill for…blood." Rosalie finished, she then walked out of the room without saying another word.

The Dusk Calls for me: Jasper Hale x Fleur Swan, Chapter 12
AUTHORS NOTES: None of the characters in Twilight belong to me. All rights go to Stephanie Meyer.
We’re heading into the Finale of book 1 folks... I have so many ideas for book 2... it’s going to be great. Hopefully!
“You get ready, you get all dressed up
To go nowhere in particular Back to work or the coffee shop Doesn't matter 'cause it's enough To be young and in love.”
Love by, Lana Del Rey
Bella was finally going to meet the Cullens officially. All day before I had left to go down there she paced, looking like she was going to be sick. All of the Cullens were cooking Italian for Bella. The only person who I was worried about was Rosalie. She was furious at Edward for even dating her, and when he went public with her... it set her over the edge. Emmett was chopping up lettuce and other vegetables for her while Rosalie begrudgingly held a bowl for him to put it in. I was sitting in the living room with Jasper, he was concentrated on reading some books. It was always entertaining to watch vampires read so quickly.
“Is she even Italian?” Rosalie asked.
“Her name is Bella, Rose... she has to be.” Emmett replied.
“Emmett... you thought I was french just because my name is Fleur. That food was really good though... not like I am complaining. I said.
“Okay I admit I messed up there but, I have to be right about this one.”
“Whatever you say Em.”
“Shut it short-stack.”
“At least I don’t hit my head through small doorways.”
He glared at me jokingly and then rolled his eyes.
“Rose, tell her to stop bullying me.”
“I’m sorry I can’t do that... it’s too funny to listen to.” Rosalie said.
“Ugh, I feel betrayed.” Emmett said, his hands going toward his un-beating heart.”
Rosalie smiled, it was soon dropped though. She must’ve kept thinking about Bella.
“She better eat this.”
“Don’t want to sound gluttonous here but... I was totally eat if she doesn’t.... it’s her lose.”
“Stop trying to make me laugh.”
“I will never stop my attempts to make you laugh.”
“Woo, get a whiff of that, here comes the human!” Rosalie said in a sing-songy voice.
Esme smiled widely, she quickly wiped her hands before making her way over to Bella.
“Bella, we’re making Italiano for you.”
“Bella, this is my Esme my mother for all intents and purposes.”
Emmett raised his hand and waved at Bella with a knife in it. Bella and Esme exchanged a bit of Italian.
“Hello again Bella, hope you’re well.” Jasper said.
“Hey, Jasper... hope you’re well too.”
“You’ve given us an excuse to use the kitchen again. We usual make meals for your sister when she stays over.” Carlisle said.
“I hope you’re hungry.” Esme added.
I could see a nervous look on Bella’s face, I probably should’ve told her they would cook for her.
“Y-yeah absolutely.”
“She already ate.” Edward said, a tinge of attitude in his voice.
Rosalie stood there, anger was all of her face. She smashed the bowl she was holding in her hand.
“Pull back Edward, you’re throwing her to the wolves!” I thought.
“Damn Rose... remind me not to piss you off again.” I said.
She had to bite down a smile.
“Perfect...” She said.
“It’s just because... I know you guys don’t eat. I didn’t want to put you into any trouble.”
“Of course, that is very considerate of you.” Esme comforted.
“Just ignore Rosalie, I do.” Edward said.
“Yeah, let’s just keep pretending that this isn’t dangerous for all of us.”
“Look, I would never tell anybody about you guys... Besides, Fleur knows and you trust her.”
“It’s because I pick up a good energy from her... I know I can trust her with anything I tell her. She’s not a backstabber, she’s told me some of the stuff you’ve done. I’m sorry but, it made me sick the way you use to treat her. I hated seeing how upset she got telling the things you and your mother said to her”
My eyes widened before looking down at my legs... maybe me being here just reminded them of some of the things I told them. I wasn’t being much help to Bella right now. Jasper sensing my nerves rising, calmed them down. My uncomfortable mood slowly simmering down.
“Rosalie, stop... don’t worry Bella, she knows you wouldn’t say anything about us to anyone.” Carlisle said.
“Well, the problem not is, you two have gone public now so...”
“Emmett.” Esme interrupted.”
“No, she should know. The entire family could get implicated if this ends badly.”
“Badly, as in... I would become the meal.”
All of the Cullens in the house except for Rosalie and Esme started to laugh. I heard a few thumps before I saw Alice and Dean enter the room.
“Hi, Bella... I’m Alice.” Alice jogged toward Bella, giving her a hug.
“Hi.”
“Gosh, you do smell good.”
“Alice what’re you.”
“Don’t worry... Bella and I are going to be great friends.”
Dean looked like he was struggling to say something. I could tell he was uncomfortable to be around Bella right now.
“It-it’s a p-pleasure to meet you.” He said.
“Don’t mind Dean, he and Jasper are our newest vegetarians.”
“It’s okay Dean, you won’t hurt her.”
The expression on Edward’s face made me want to laugh.
“Okay well, I’m going to show her around the house.”
“Okay.” Bella mumbled.
“I’ll see you soon.” Alice said.
“Okay.” Bella said again.
“So cute!” Esme gushed.
“I know!” Alice said in agreement.
“I think that went well.” Carlisle added.
“Rose, clean this up... now.” Esme said.
I leaned back into the couch, sinking into it. Jasper put his arm around my shoulder. “What an interesting visit.” I thought to myself.
Another day came and went by, Bella and I were on our way to the diner. It had been so long since I had been down there. I was in the passengers seat of her truck. I thought since we were going to the same place, we should probably drive in the same vehicle... During out drive she started talking about how Edward had been watching her sleep for months.
“Are you serious Bella? That’s kinda creepy.”
“I’m sure you have Jasper in your room with you at night.”
“Yeah but, he always asks me before he goes in there. We plan stuff like that out... He should be coming later tonight actually.”
“Okay... you have a point there.”
When we arrived at the diner and got out of the truck Mike approached us...
“Hey, you and Cullen huh? I don’t like it... I mean he looked at you like you’re something to eat.”
Bella and I looked at each other and smirked... he had no idea how correct he was in that statement. We walked past him and entered the dinner, dad was already waiting for us.
“Hey I hope you two don’t mind I ordered food for you guys already. I got you Bells a Spinach Salad and I got you a burger Fleur.”
“Yeah that sounds good.” I said.
“Good picks dad. Even though, you should get a salad like me next time... cut back the steak.” Bella said.
“Hey, I’m as healthy as a horse.”
"Hey , Chief, the boys want to know... did you find anything by Queets river today?" The waitress asked.
"Yeah, we found a bare human footprint... but it looks like whoever it is is headed east... the Kisap County Sheriff is gonna take over from here."
"Okay, I hope whoever it is... they get them fast." The waitress then walked away, a group of men started talking within there group.
I turned around hearing something outside, Mike was doing something to a poor bush outside. I nudged Bella, trying to get her attention.
“Hey, someone’s flagging you outside.”
“It seems that Newton boys got a big smile for you.” Dad added.
Bella looked, and then turned back around, her face looked horrified.
“You can join them if you want.” I said smirking.
“Shut up you jerk... Mike is a good buddy though.” She said back.
Dad face flushed slightly... as if what he was going to say next was embarrassing.
“W-what about any other of the yahoo’s in town?”
“Dad... we aren’t going to talk about boys are we?” Bella said, her face starting to turn red too.”
“I guess not... with you at least.... How is everything going with you and Jasper, Fleur?”
I looked up confused, how did conversation about Bella’s relationships get turn into one about mine.
“It’s going well.”
“Good, I noticed you’ve been spending a lot more time with him lately. That car ride you took was a long one.”
“Oh yeah we drove out for a while... we looked at the stars... it was really nice. He told me I seemed stress and just decided to take me somewhere.” I said, I looked down at my hands while smiling.
Dad seeing this smiled too.
“I always liked that boy, you got yourself I good one.”
“I know I do.” I said finally looking up at him.
“I was only bringing up boys with you Bella because... I feel like I leave you alone too much.”
“I don’t mind being alone dad, I’m like you in that way.”
“Yeah, I guess so.”
Timeskip: Later that night.
I was in my room, thinking about what dad had said earlier... He found a bare human footprint in the woods. Could it of been the same footprint of the woman who’s body I seemed to be suck in during my dreams? Or could it of been someone else entirely? The wind from my open window got harsher for a second, I then heard a familiar soft thud on my floor. I turned my head, locking my eyes with his.
“What’s going on in that head of yours love?” Jasper asked
“Just thinking of something my dad said earlier...”
“What is it?”
“My dad said he found a bare human footprint down at Queets river today... He said it was heading east. Have you guys found anything yet?”
“No, we haven’t found anything, it’s starting to get frustrating. Have you had anymore dreams about those vampires?”
“Nope... if it is them though, I have a feeling that print was just a trap to throw them off course.”
“I do too... hey, my family and I plan on playing baseball tomorrow, since Edward is inviting Bella... I thought you could come too.”
“Yes, I would love too, watching Emmett climb and crash into things is my favorite part of the game. That and all those tricks you do with the bat.”
“It’s a plan then, I’ll pick you up tomorrow.”
“Sounds good.” I pecked his lips before getting comfortable in my bed, I was still a human... I needed some sleep. I laid there, Jasper behind me holding close.
“Tomorrow is going to be a fun day.” I thought to myself, before drifting off to sleep.

Frozen within the Night Wind: Jasper Hale x Fleur Swan, Book 3 Chapter 1
None of the characters in twilight belong to me, all rights go to Stephenie Meyer.
Summary: Fleur has never been in more danger than she has now. Not only does she have the revengeful and angry Victoria after her. But the Volturi is wanting to go after her as well. Will Fleur be able to stay human? Or will someone end up getting in her way?
"Baby, that isn't how they look tonight
It took the light absolutely forever to get to your eyes
And as we gaze skyward, ain't it dark early?
It's the star treatment."
Star Treatment, By The Arctic Monkeys
Those speckled stars in the midnight sky are my possibilities of life, my fate.
That ocean is the course I will float through. It may be choppy and rough.
Or that tide that the moons controls will take me under.
Now in days, it always felt like that moon was going to take me in the water, pushing me down deep. I had multiple targets on my back and many deadly people trying to shoot their shots toward me. It seemed I had grown numb to the idea of my heart not beating anymore. It felt like a fate I couldn't escape. I should've known this would happen... I was dating someone whose heart had stopped beating over a hundred years ago. I would never blame him for my problems, of course, he couldn't control my sister's mouth as much as I wanted him to.
My dreams had started to get strange...Anytime I was "in" Victoria she was always alone. I felt her resentment, nervousness, and the constant hesitance of the people around her. I was always wondering what had happened to that man she had bitten. Leah and I hadn't talked since her dad had ended up getting killed, I hadn't seen Seth either. Bella and I had been worse than we had ever been. Seeing her still makes me sick to my stomach and Edward made me just as sick too. But I knew something was coming...and I knew that we would all have to stick together, whether we wanted to or not.
I was currently making my way down to the Cullens, I wanted to see Rosalie and Jasper, and Alice too. I couldn't stand to be in that house by myself with Edward and Bella not too far away.
Tell me, how am I to feel? Tell me how... I don't know if I can chill I need to scream it loud
Female Energy PT2 by, Willow Smith
I pulled into the Cullen's driveway and jogged up to the door, knocking softly. Jasper had always told me I never needed to knock and that I could just come in but, it always felt wrong not doing it. I looked through the glass and saw Rosalie smiling, she had more bridal magazines in her hands. Ever since she found out Jasper and I had gotten engaged she was gung ho on planning our wedding. I was convinced she could be a professional wedding planner.
"Fleur! You came right on time." I walked into the house and took my sweater off.
"Glad I made it on time... my rule is when Edward enters the house, it's time for me to leave the house." I joked.
"Oh, I'm sure they're driving you nuts."
"You have no idea... Is Jasper here?
"No, he went on a hunting trip with Emmett, Esme, Dean, Carlisle, and Alice, they'll be gone for the rest of the night."
"Oh okay. What'd you find?" I asked gesturing toward the pile of magazines.
"I was looking at wedding dresses perfect for forest weddings, and when the best time to have weddings at, as well as things you shouldn't have in a wedding because they can cause bad luck."
"Rose... Alice is starting to rub off on you isn't she?" I said a smirk was plastered on my face.
"Yes... I think she is."
"So, what do they tell us about what are the best dresses to wear?"
"Well, I was seeing a lot of lace, and most the dresses were short."
"I like lace."
"Good, we've made progress."
"I was thinking about having Lilies of the Valley for the main floral arrangements."
"You are reading my mind Fleur."
We were scanning through different magazines, pointing out some things I would want to have. The distraction was nice but soon enough those same thoughts crept back into my head. Rosalie noticed this and a concerned look was replaced with her joyful one.
"What's going on in that head of yours Fleur."
I sighed
"I'm just freaked out about everything...and these dreams about Victoria aren't helping either."
"You've had more dreams about Victoria?" She inquired, her face was full of shock."
"Oh...I didn't say anything about that did I?"
"No...what's she doing?"
"Well, the first dream I had of her again was while all you guys were gone. She had attacked some man but didn't kill him. The dreams of her I've had recently are just her alone... she seems so nervous now."
"I wish I could help you out with whatever's going on but, I can't do anything for your dreams."
"It's not your fault Rose... I just wish I knew why my dreams have been so accurate when it came to things involving her. Well... there was one other thing, but I'm not sure if Jasper told you."
"What's it about?"
"I was having dreams the night you guys had left, one of them I was standing on a random street corner, and Jasper was there driving a car. When he got a second look at me I disappeared. He had called me in the middle of the night and asked me how I found him."
"Oh my god...are you sure you're fully human?" She asked playfully.
"I don't know what the heck I am at this point," I said, chuckling.
"I have to admit, it's impressive... I've never even heard a vampire being able to do that stuff."
"I wish I could control it, the dreams cut off after a while."
"I wouldn't worry about it, for now, it comes into use for us when we've reached dead ends. You have to be hungry, why don't we take a break from wedding planning?"
"Sounds good... I'm starving!"
After I had finished dinner, it was late so I had decided to spend the night there. I pulled out my phone and called dad, so he didn't freak out about anything.
"Hey Petal, I was just about to call."
"Sorry dad, I'm over with Rosalie... we spent too much time wedding planning. I'm going to spend the night here since it's so late." I explained.
"That's fine, tell Rosalie I said hi."
"I will love you, dad."
"Love you too."
"I'm going to bed Rose, I'll see you in the morning."
"Alright, sleep well." She said.
I went up to Jasper's room and collapsed on the bed the Cullens had gotten for me. I was roused awake slightly a few hours later, those familiar cold arms wrapped themselves around me. I fell back to sleep a few seconds later. I awoke the next morning, the sun was burning my face. It was one of those rare day's the sun decided to make an appearance in Forks. I groaned and buried my face in one of the cush pillows behind my head. I heard a deep chuckle from the doorway.
"You never were a morning person were you love?" I heard Jasper ask...not matter how long I was here on this Earth, I would never get tired of his voice.
"I don't wanna get up...you can't make me."
"I technically could darlin, I am a vampire you know."
"But you're a nice vampire...you love me too much to wake me up."
"Edward and Bella will be coming over soon..." I shot up and looked at him, a grin on his face told me he was joking.
"I take it back, you're mean."
"If it'll make it up to you...I'll make you breakfast."
"As nice as that sounds... I better go, dad is probably waiting for me."
"Okay love, I'll see you tonight." He said, I kissed him before leaving, I bid everyone a goodbye in the lounge room and made it toward my car. The long drive back was going well until my car had broken down.
"Aww damn it..." I said, getting out of my car. I was still in the forest, the dead leaves were crunching underneath my feet. Before I could open the engine however I heard another set of feet coming toward me. I looked up and locked eyes with someone who looked familiar to me... his eyes were blood red.
"Fleur Swan... we meet at last."

Because it doesn’t look like it posted
Merry Christmas to my favorite Tim @thirdbirddown This will have taken place before she changed her name to Primrose
"Tim's snuggling up to me this year Slick" she said a little apologetically as she held Tim, "you can lay on my other side" she held her free arm to the new boy wonder who 'begrudgingly' laid next to her.

"That can be answered later Drake" Damian told Tim yelping when Rose man-handled him into her lap, he grumbled but stopped as the gifts were sorted and presented to the kids.
"Thank you" the kids thanked him, Rosalie sat Damian between herself and Dick before the kids turned their attention to their gifts once the camera was on its tripod.
"Youngest to oldest" Rose smiled tweaking Damian's neck with a few wiggly fingers making the 13 year old snort and swat her hand away before grabbing the first gift off of his pile one from her, "Merry Christmas you little Heathen" she smiled returning the boy to her lap watching him open the box set of Charles Dickens work.
"Alright bud" Rose smiled sweetly taking the gift and unwrapping it, "Damian this is amazing, thank you" she hugged the boy pressing her lips to his cheek as she held the copy of Edgar Allan Poe stories and poems.
