i’ll be thinking about your tags for the rest of my life because you are so correct! “she looks at him like she wanna study him” she does she she she. she tries to convince everyone around him that he has a good side to him, that he is good. they share love for literature and poetry and art in a way that not dean or lorelai could ever understand. i can see rory comes home in 2x05 goes to her room sitting in bed reading his notes for hours until its like 4am or something and lorelai went down to get some water and she’s all like “kiddo, why are you awake?” and how could rory tells her mom that his words and the way he express himself want her to study him, to get to know him better, to learn every little detail about him. god i love them so much 😭

its just so earnest between them like so genuine just the idk recognition they immediately have of each other like some sense of oh. youre just like me. its very cute and i think one of the most. important parts about them to me IS that they just get each other are so intrigued by each other like YEAH. rory wants to STUDY that boy put him under a microscope even when she is upset w him she is still like psychoanalyzing him (i guess thats what you have to do when you’re trying to be holden caulfield but i think it sucks) like its SOOO sweet. and he was just trying to get her attention like the equivalent of a little boy pulling a girls pigtails on the playground he didnt want to upset her he just wanted her to look at him. and yeah. i just know rory memorized those annotations. bc on all accounts it is simply very exciting to meet someone who loves what you love so you can love it together

OOOO god umm… i think it kinda depends on the verse? like yale!jess i could so see having something in hebrew that means a lot to him (and paris might have a matching tat tbh), whereas wuib!jess would def have all his kid’s nicknames like, tatted onto his arm or something (like goober for joey, bunny for will, etc—ive thought about this a lot actually it’s embarrassing). canon jess would sooooo get rory’s initials tattooed like he’s so pathetic and smitten w her. as for rory, i’m not sure if she would get tattoos? RA!rory def would (RA!jess too, they’d both have those messy stick-n-poke tats of like, their friends’ initials and other little symbols and words and quotes that would eventually fade away w time). not bc she views them in a bad light, but just bc she’s the type of person who would wanna be 100% certain that whatever she tattoos, she’ll still love the design like 20+ years in the future, so the indecision about it would eat her alive and she’d just never commit to anything.

i’m sorry but the fact that rory haven’t spoke with lorelai for like half a year (because 5 months and 3 weeks can consider as half a year) drives me insane!!!!!!!!! and it’s all logan’s fault!!!!! if he cared about her at all he would’ve made them talk again. the fact that rory didn’t even mentioned her birthday because she probably didn’t wanted to celebrate it without her mom just breaks my heart 😭

oh yeah. and its like. he KNEW that rory dropping out and not talking to her mom was unlike her (in a vague sense) and he said so but he just thought it was. funny. not a big deal not so serious bc nothing in the world is that serious to logan so he just lets it be. he’d rather have rory spend all her time with him anyway. and i never even considered that she didnt tell him specifically bc they made all these special plans for her 21st birthday and it was just another reminder of what her life has come to like oh my god...

that shot at her birthday party when LOGAN and lane drag her away from lorelai and lorelai stays behind and just watches from afar bc she doesn’t think she’s allowed to be in her life anymore, not really. god. love the metaphor there. also love that jess specifically points out that rory moved out and isn’t talking to her mom as things that would be unacceptable to her if she had her head screwed on straight. and then wishes her a happy birthday because of course he knows when her birthday is.
