Vandusen Garden visitors can enjoy 'A Web of Connected Species', a special vertical dance performance by Aeriosa. Four performers will inhabit the trees in a dance with nature and each other, exploring the concept of connected webs and species that dwell in the trees and travel in the space between. 🌟 Choreographer Spotlight 🌟 Chantal McCormick from Ireland June 10-15, 2019 in Vancouver at Vancouver International Vertical Dance Summit #aeriosavivds ⭐️ Chantal McCormick from Ireland ⭐️ Chantal McCormick #fidgetfeetaerialdance Chantal McCormick trained as a dancer and choreographer at the London School of Contemporary Dance. After graduation she became interested in aerial circus and trained at Circus Space, London. Chantal toured with established dance and circus companies in the UK from 1999-2008. Fidget Feet was founded in 2004 by Chantal (Donegal) and her husband Jym Daly (Cork). Chantal has directed, choreographed, and performed shows with Fidget Feet including; Wired and Free, Fairies Tail, Remember Her, Madam Silk, Raw, Hang On, Catch Me, Fire Birds and Elves and the Shoemaker. Chantal is also the Artistic Director of Irish Aerial Dance Fest. 🌟 Choreographer Spotlight 🌟 June 10-15, 2019 in Vancouver at Vancouver International Vertical Dance Summit #aeriosavivds ⭐️ Marija Šćekić from Croatia ⭐️ Marija Šćekić is the Founder and Artistic Director of Histeria Nova. She started attending classical ballet trainings at the age of 3 years old and continued until high school graduation. Apart from her education in dance, she was attending elective courses in electroacoustics, human anatomy and planetary geology (structures and dynamics of movement in our solar system) which further shaped her artistic vision into a synesthetic physical theatre where body movement, biological science and electronic sounds are inseparate.
