This couldn’t be more true, almost 6 years ago I lost EVERYTHING. From my home, my job, my freedom, my self worth, my hope, EVERYTHING. But Jesus was there when I cried out for him to save me after I had almost died from some bad drugs I had taken. But it had to happen that way, I had to be stripped of what I was allowing myself to become so I could become the person I was meant to be. I gave up everything I had been chasing because it hadn’t gotten me anywhere, except at rock bottom, homeless & an addict. But I could hear the promises of God whispering in my ear from when I was at kid going to church. I grew up poor with a mom who was an addict, an alcoholic dad who spent 10 years of my life behind bars for attempted murder. My whole life growing up was chaotic, sexual mental & physical abuse, homelessness, my addiction, a miscarriage, a college dropout, & when I was 14 I found my mama when she passed from an overdose. you name it, I experienced it. From the outside looking in, most people said I’d either end up in prison, dead, or some no good piece of trash. But once I gave my life to Jesus, changes were made within me & around me that I never thought were possible. Here I am, 29 years old, running my own business, outreach ministry & we just finished building a 5 BR shop house, this never would have been possible without the grace of God. It’s definitely not all rainbows & butterflies, I still deal with very REAL struggles. But those struggles are nothing compared to the life I was living & the road I was heading down. I had nothing to lose, so I surrendered my life to him & through that I gained SO MUCH! ❤️ but the most important part I gained from surrendering this time around was, it’s about relationship not about religion. God just wants a relationship with us, he wants us to spend time with him. NOT my best SALES day ever, but I’ll take it. Most of my sales have 2 day shipping as opposed to 3 day, so my theory is to just ship Thursday evening, Friday & Saturday sales out on Saturday morning because regardless whether I ship on Friday or Saturday they still get there on Monday. Which gives me a day to not worry about trying to race the mail man. We need to embrace the now & find beauty in the chaos of the world. I had a rough day but the beauty of the day was I got to spend the morning baking with my daughter & we got together 11 posh packages that were picked up today for 11 people who will receive a message of hope, redemption, & unfailing sacrificial love ❤️ But the best part of this is that i has someone watch me today, someone who is taking this in & also putting it right back out. We’re creating a legacy for the kingdom of God & I’m raising a Hero.
