Thanks for the question, junko-enoshima-fan1! As you know, I’ve been having quite a hard time with Pomefiore, but I’m slowly getting there!

Swap!Vil, as I’ve said before, has no disdain towards being typecast as the villain. He sees Neige as an acquaintance, or even a friend, who helps him explore the hidden sides to himself as his partner on set. Even though Neige plays the main character often, Vil believes that it doesn’t matter who’s on stage the longest and that instead it matters who invokes the most emotion out of the audience.

Speaking of emotion, it’s mentioned that Rook had no understanding of how to express his emotions until he saw Neige perform. This never happened, so Rook’s grasp on emotions is pretty non-existent.

In this AU Rook has no special feelings towards Neige. He just knows him as ‘that one famous actor’, though those feelings might change sooner or later, when he finally meets Neige in person. He doesn’t understand why both him and Vil outshine him so much, what do they have that he doesn’t?

Rook doesn’t understand the emotions he’s feeling, and neither does he know how to deal with them. Who knew emotions were so complicated?
