Between commission stuff I’ve been feeling an urge for quirkswap au stuff, so i did a quick doodle page. Oboro in an utter menace while he’s still wrapped up in bandages. His legs ain’t broke so he’s gonna use them.

Boy btw...relationships are complication between the dumbigos in this. 

Basically, in high school Hizashi and Shouta were dating and Shouta and Oboro are childhood friends and of course Hizashi and Oboro are also best friends. Then after Nemuri died (who is Hizashi’s sister in this (he was adopted by her parents)) they still kinda dated but Hizashi was emotionally distant because mourning. When they graduated Hizashi decides to take an offer to intern in America to further his career. The break up with Shouta is gentle and expected but the falling out with Oboro as a friend is messy. Hizashi and Oboro had a huge fight that resulted in a lot of regret in things said on both sides. Hizashi basically threw all caution to the wind and embraced a bit of a single, playboy life style while Shouta and Oboro moved in together, started and agency and eventually tentively started dating. By the time they all became teachers at UA Shouta and Oboro kinda talked to Hizashi sparsely and they’re kinda slow to fall back into a friendship again, but it does happen. Eventually Hizashi does join Oboro and Shouta’s relationship once he gets a bit past his years of emotional constipation and realizes how much he loves the both of them.

Hello I finally finished Quirkswap Nemuri and Oboro.

Yogiri means Night Mist apparently so I'm gonna use that as her name.

Oboro gains an electrified staff.

Oboro's hero name is Equalizer and Nemuri's is Cloud Nine.

Some More Quirkswap stuff

Some more stuff from my Quirkswap au. Kinda a role swap too. 

Eri is swapped with Tenko 

Bakugou is swapped with Midoroyia kinda (Midoryia has a quirk that makes more sense with his parents quirks, not explosions). 

Nana and All Might swapped order in inheritance of OFA and Nana chose Quirkless Bakugou as her successor. 

Eri’s quirk is Decay but it works similarly to her quirk in canon, as in it’s activation is signaled by her horn. She would also technically be the granddaughter of All Might. Tenko’s quirk is Rewind but it works with his hands and turns his hair white/blue when at full power. 

Not sure how Bakugou’s version of OFA works yet ngl. 

And i’m not sure what exactly the big fight with AFO did to Nana in this.

Also yes, Dadkumo is gonna be a thing.

I feel the need to ramble about my Quirkswap AU so here I am.

Since Bakugo and Midoryia are switched I was wondering what it would mean for their dynamic. Midoryia wouldn't be the type to bully in any AU I think, and Bakugo would be the social outcast in this case due to his quirklessness. I feel like Bakugo developed a delinquent type reputation. He talked back, he caused fights, etc all in the name of proving he wasn't useless. His home life...I feel like his parents care about him, yes, but they subconsciously baby him and treat him like a child even when he's a teenager due to how society sees people who are quirkless. His relationship with his father's a bit better than the one with his mother though. He mostly brushes them off and ignores them.

Midoryia on the other hand... kid's popular. He's perfect hero material with both his impressive quirk (Pyrokinsis) and his friendly personality. He's a bit arrogant, though, but that's mostly due to the school giving him the same favoritism as canon Bakugo. He's Bakugo's only friend at the point in which canon begins and while he does mean well with the things he says (He often tells Bakugo to think more realistically. That he'll only hurt himself and his parents if he tries to be a hero, etc etc) but they do hurt Bakugo to the point where he's pushing him away and is resentful of Midoryia.

Their relationship is honestly strained.

The Slime villain incident happens similarly to canon I imagine but in reverse (Bakugo running in to save Midoryia).

I'm still not sure how the AFO fight injuries should effect Nana. Similarly to how the effected All Might? I was thinking of taking some kind of inspiration from FMA and how they handled Izumi Curtis, aka Ed and Al's Teacher...but I'm still thinking about it.

Any suggestions and feed back would be nice.

Wait. So since Mic has Midnight’s quirk, does that mean it works more on girls than boys?

That...is a good good question there, Anon. Since it is like Midnight’s quirk I would think probably, yeah, it works in the reverse and effects girls more than boys. Though I kind of wonder if it would depend a bit on the sexuality of the victim...

Anyways! Yeah, probably.

Quirkswap Info Dump

I just realized...I posted an info dump on twitter but didn’t post it here I think. 

- Oboro and Shouta are childhood best friends. They helped figure out each other's hero names.   - Hizashi was put up for adoption young because he lost control of his quirk. - He was adopted by Nemuri's parents. They were very close.  - Shouta gave Hizashi his hero name in this AU. - Hizashi and Oboro's friendship started with a punch to the face and a misunderstanding. - Shouta is hard of hearing. - Shouta lives with his grandparents because his mother was not a good guardian. - Oboro was a bit of a delinquent when he was younger. - Hizashi is the one who isolated himself when Nemuri died. Went overseas for a few years. - Oboro and Shouta have an agency together. - Oboro, Nemuri and Hizashi were the ones having their work study in the Purple Revolution Agency. - Shouta's work study was in the Buster Union. - Because if the incident Shouta no longer uses his quirk for big attacks. He uses it more subtly. - For a while in highschool Shouta spoke almost solely in JSL. - Hizashi gained a bit of a reputation as a player and serial dater as an adult.

for the quirk swap au is shouta still homeroom teacher? or is he switched to english and hizashi is in midnights placa? or does shirakumo just kinda do everything midnight did plot wise? if that makes sense 😭

Good question. 

Hizashi would probably still teach English, especially since he spent several years interning in America after he graduated in this. Oboro is the one who was first asked to teach, though and dragged in the other two, though it was half in an attempt to reconnect with Hizashi. He dragged Shouta in because those two are joined at the hip and have done everything together since they were, like, ten. 

Oboro is homeroom teacher in this, though, and Shouta teaches something else.

Wait in the quirk swap AU, if Oboro had Erasure and Nemuri has cloud, does that mean that Oboro is the one targeted while Nemuri is the one who dies their third year or no?

The awnser here is yes. I'm at work atm so I can't draw her but Nemuri is gonna "die" and be made into a Kurogiri equivalent. I'm gonna try hard to not just make her look like a female version of Kurogiri. That would be boring.

I'm actually toying with the idea that in this au they have a different location for LOV's base other than the bar. Been thinking a seedy motel or inn or an old bath house. Wanna draw from different inspiration for Nomu!Nemuri's look. I'm gonna find a new name too. Cause I'm not calling her Kurogiri cause it'll just confuse me xD

Day Dream gives off Freddie Mercury vibes to me, which is hella suave. Also any reason behind his shorter hair design?

And idk, I just wanted to give him a stark difference with canon Hizashi when it comes to his adult design. The short hair looked the nicest when I sketched it out. I was thinking of going shorter actually but it didn't look right rip.

Okay, straight up just gonna say this.

My AUs get dark. They can get hecking dark.

As someone who grew up in the era of "Don't like, don't read" I'll employ that here. Heed any warnings I might put on my posts or in the tags and if you don't like my au or can't handle my au, Do. Not. Read. It.

I apologise for not tagging properly and will try to double down on tagging when it's needed. I always put warnings or a cut in the begining if I think the content will be triggering so heed those too.

But as a person I'm not responsible for censoring my content for you. Y'all are the ones responsible for your own content intake, not me or anyone else. You.

What I am responsible for is my tagging and my warnings, which I'll try to improve in the future.

This has been nagging me all night so I decided to put my feelings on this into words. Let it serve as a warning for all those that enter my blog. To update this I now prescribe to the theory that Midnight’s quirk is based on the attraction of the victim to her so Day Dream’s version of the quirk works much the same. He would seemingly be mainly effective on women but would also be effective against gay, bi and pan men who find him attractive. He’s not very effective against lesbians and an ace person could probably stand his quirk much longer than others. 

Which means he could still knock Shouta and Oboro out if he needs to, aka those two idiots need a nap...cause I headcanon them as gay and pan respectively so....lol.
