i finally got to the last book, and my heart is already breaking i am unwell

If I had a nickel for every time I’d decided to get into a new fandom and almost immediately had one of the endgame ships spoiled for me, but due to the fact said ship was queer and I’d been in dozens of queerbaiting fandoms before I refused to believe that this new ship could possibly be canon, and it wasn’t until I reached the very end of this new series where the characters very explicitly confess their love for one another in a way that is absolutely undeniable that I realised “oh shit! The fandom wasn’t lying! The gay ship is canon!!!” and then when I inevitably go back and re-read/listen to the series I spend the entire time metaphorically beating my head against the wall because it was a slow burn and it was being hinted at since the very beginning but I was too busy refusing to get queerbaited to realise!!! I’d have 2 nickels… which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice, right?

I'm looking for a fic, it was on ao3 and I remember that ronan was in rehab I think or post his unaliving attempt. I remember that the description had something about "sometimes stealing a car..." I'm pretty sure it had a part in it where the sentence "Ora pro nobis" was said, or the English version which is "pray for us sinners" i might be mixing uo a couple of fics but if one of the elements in here sounds familiar please let me know!!!! It's driving me crazy!
