Ask a Mortician's newest video broke my heart, as it should anyone's. Between Tyke, Tilikum and Travis- there are some animals that can not and should not ever be domesticated. I'm pro animal husbandry and human captivity obv, but I don't have much patience for people who keep megafauna like it's nothing. I absolutely refuse to watch Tiger King is lieu of crap all it's done for those poor cats.

To counteract that, I went down a wikipedia hole finding animals that escaped captivity and/or are wild but living their best lives.

Emily the Cow who escaped a slaughterhouse and was just allowed to roam free. She became a bridesmaid and blessed by a Krishna before her death.

Hvaldimir the Beluga whale who's waaaay too comfortable with humans and everyone who knows him is terrified for him - spy whale or not.

Romeo, the good boy wolf who's story will make you sad and who needed to be better protected.

and Flaco the eagle owl of Central Park zoo who's still loose in Central Park as I write this. Lookit this guy. Lookit how proud he is.

he's not wild but I'm happy Claude the alligator is still doing well in the Academy of Sciences.

Except Taiga doesn’t even kiss MC, he gets hungry and like. Licks some dried blood off the corner of her mouth or smth and it’s close enough to count (he gets distracted shortly after by the “dwarves” who are just anomalies from the nearby cave. He gets dirt and coal stuck in his teeth)

Also Romeo as an old hag………I like to think MC didn’t even do anything, he was going after Kaito and somehow his lackeys got MC instead. He also dunked the apple fully thinking that his lackeys made it a deadly poison as requested. No one tell him that they picked up a sleeping agent and went after the wrong target, so many people will get laid off………..

no writing this week because I’ve been travelling to London, and am still here, and I am catching up with as many musicals and shows as I have time for and can afford (I’m broke now) (so far I’ve watched Wicked, Hadestown twice, Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera, Tom Holland’s Romeo and Juliet, and Next to Normal today). also met some really cool people who like the same things as I do so that was so cool (DBDA is spreading…), and I met Jack Wolfe today! if you have any suggestions on what to do the next time I visit (may stay the whole day tmrw as well) please send me a message. I will take any excuse to come down to London xx
