Well, last night was a blast. After years of being a fan of @punchlion and years of having dreadful timing and not being able to get to their shows in Boston for one reason or another, @_annieboots_ and I finally got to rock out to them live. What a show. I rarely see shows in Boston venues, in part due to this rural southern MA kid's anxiety about crazy citiy traffic and parking (and everyone honking all of the time holy shit, why?!), to rooms that are just too tricky to make sound good any good, (I'd buy extra merch and albums to still support the bands I love when I can, though). But this time, the stars aligned. And I'm glad they did. Whoever ran sound for the bands needs a huge pat on the back. Punchline sounded so clear. And big shoutout to Defret and Everway who also sounded great. Spill Canvas seemed to run into some technical difficulties, but seemed to handle it well. We couldn't stay for their whole set, due to aforementioned being old and the stressful drive home cause I'm a wimp, but hopefully the rest of the set worked out swell! One last thing, all of the dudes in Punchline, and the other bands as well, are such kind souls. Made me really miss my short, sweet career as a local musician. They were all so nice on top of immense talent. I'm lucky to have their music in my life and an amazing girlfriend in Annie to share them with. Also, not a plug, but thanks also to Eargasm ear plugs.
