You’d think I’d be satisfied with one wide angle image, but sometimes the world is just too amazing. This is my blend of two images made yesterday. I also wasn’t satisfied with putting a 65mm wide angle lens on a regular 4x5 camera, so I made one out of a Crown Graphic shell. The lens is fix-focused at about 6 feet, I stop down to f45 and use infrared film. I’ve posted the original negative scan, and what the camera looks like. I remember there was negative criticism of Avedon’s portraits of his father’s last year as being a bit harsh.
