نادراً ما تكون المنارات الحديثة مصممة بطريقة فريدة من نوعها، ولكن هناك استثناء: مثل منارة قرية بونتا ديل هيدالغو في تينيريفي (جزيرة في المحيط الأطلسي، وكبرى جزر الكناري الإسبانية) التي تحقق التصميم المميز. تم اكتمال بناء المنارة عام 1994.
اسم المهندس المعماري هو Ramiro Rodriguez-Borlado
