What would have happened if, that day at the circus, Blitz had the courage to give Fizz that love letter?

Fuuuck, stick a knife in me and call me done. Precious, unrepentant sweetness is what would happen.

It's pretty clear to me- as I think it's meant to be- that Blitz's feelings aren't one sided, and Fizz very likely would reciprocate. I have no solid proof but look at the way they interact and tell me I'm wrong. I doubt the fire would have happened- no cake spill, no candles, no fire- and so two very sweet boys would have a very sweet teenage romance. I think Blitz would still struggle with self-hatred and inadequacy because of Cash, and as they're both kids I'm not sure Fizzie would have known how to help him- but he'd sure fucking try, and refuse to let him believe that he wasn't good enough or in some way unloveable because I love you so get snuggled, idiot. I could easily see a life long relationship forming there, with on-again-off-again moments. Probably a fairly boring existence, tbh; there would be no Stolas, no Ozzie, no fire, no IMP, no drama. Just a pair of cutie patooties who eventually would likely take over the circus after Cash and Tila retire or pass. Again, it'd be a bit of a darker outcome for the other cast who, hilariously, seem to hinge on Blitz to come together. It would have to be fate or chance that brought Millie and Moxxie to each other and saved Loona, as I addressed in my post about he and Verosika staying together. Although, in this case, there's every chance Stolas would still take Octavia to the circus, still meet a certain imp, and, potentially, still get wrapped up in a relationship with him. It depends on if you think Fizz and Blitz would be open to a third in that way.

As with most of my ideas, it started out as a shitpost:

But my sweet lovely friend Miss got me thinking about bullrider!Connor and rodeoclown!Hank and, besides the obvious perk of getting to tag a fic ‘hank is a sexy rodeo clown,’

Young, talented (and closeted) bull rider Connor who is pressured to become a star to help his family out of financial difficulties captured my heart… who lives in a small, conservative town pursuing a high-risk  career embedded in conservative culture… who stands to lose everything if he admits who he is

Enter Hank, the brash, grumpy, out-and-proud rodeo clown, new to town and without any fucks about what anyone thinks of him

Y’all know I love an overly protective Hank, and rodeo clowns are basically there to protect the bull riders, so it’s sort of like a bodyguard au but with clown makeup

Right now there is no plot, just vibes and a collection of scenes. Obviously someone almost dies, there’s a lot of physical hurt/comfort potential with this one. Supportive friends Markus and Chloe (Markus as Connor’s best friend back from art school for the summer, thinks Connor needs to break free from this oppressive culture; Chloe as Connor’s high school sweetheart aka they have been each other’s beards for years). Drunken country bar dancing and inappropriate mechanical bull riding in front of Everyone. Connor losing his virginity, mid-day, in his squeaky twin bed while his mother and brother are in the house.

This will be a problematic huge age gap fic because I don’t think the themes really work unless Connor is in his early 20s so I am prepared to Get Yelled At

Also rodeo clowns don’t really wear clown clothes any more but FUCK THAT, Hank is CLOWNIN IT UP. I did not receive the comment “I can’t imagine having the self confidence to WRITE this, let alone post it” on mall santa just to not try to one-up myself
