The Rock w/ A Goth S/O
(Like usual, this is kayfabe compliant. Also, this has elements of my fic idea basically but I’m still workshopping stuff so I decided to do headcanons cause why not)
You debuted just before the WWF fully embraced their attitude and aspects of goth sub-culture bled into the federation. So that made you kind of an oddball but, obviously, you embraced it.
So it was an odd pairing between you and “Rocky Maivia”. This rookie femme fatale and this fresh-faced third gen up-and-comer looking to make a name for himself.
I would say, maybe in the beginning you two would keep your relationship under wraps, with the both of you coming off as either friends or twos newbies simply looking out for each other.
The other wrestlers that were heel aligned wasted no time in giving Rock dirty looks cause of how close he was getting to you.
You would support and help him train as he wanted to be some Hulk Hogan-esque hero to the fans but it wasn’t working.
At first, he was in that stage of denial and wanting passive advice. The “it’ll get better” type deals because he felt if he kept trying, he could win them over. He was even given those talks by the other faces backstage.
As someone who was more “heel aligned”, you thought that was horse shit but you supported what he initially wanted.
It wasn’t until the “Die Rocky Die” chants and signs that you put your foot down.
“Tell them to go fuck themselves” you would say and he would ignore it. Trying to talk YOU down from going out there and cursing people out.
“I just have to run my own race and I’ll win them over.” He was so naive. The poor baby.
But you were determined. Becoming the little devil on his shoulder while the other baby faces kept trying to urge him to stay on the “right” path. The path of “perseverance”.
“Who cares what the fans think?”
“They don’t even know what they want. They’d rather cheer on dinosaurs than new blood”
“Stop lying down and waiting for them to respect you. TAKE their respect.”
At first, he would laugh at your persistence. “Girl, you are a bad influence on me.”
But then it started getting to him more and more, and with the Nation of Domination now urging him, he finally took matters into his own hands.
After the crowd watched him raise his fist alongside Farooq, it was no holds barred.
Now instead of being some fresh faced Romeo + Juliet type fling, you two went full on power couple.
Subtext became straight up text.
I said it before in my other headcanon but it bears repeating, with your styles, the both of you would end up matching CONSTANTLY.
Also vial of his blood? You can totally have it. Obviously, I gotta mention it.
While The Rock is not one to cheat, that was the service you offered any heel clients you valet’d for but it was a matter of trust. Trust that he can get the job done because he always could.
He’s finally out of his shell enough to let you take him to a goth club and boy does he fit in with the way he dances.
You have full control of the music when y’all are driving from place to place until one song that he just can’t stand and he takes your CD out. Not even huffing will make him budge.
He sings to you. He takes the songs you like and randomly sings them to you. He wants to dance with you. He’ll even try to sing them slowly for a slow dance. It becomes a battle to see how long you can go without laughing.
He sometimes goes to wrestlers like Edge & Christian (and sometimes Undertaker) for advice on gifts.
Mankind ADORES you.
While I wouldn’t recommend on WWE/WWF Wedding (name one time the ceremony succeeded), if y’all confident it’ll work for y’all and Mankind is gonna officiate. That or Dude Love (who happens to be great pals with Mankind).
Rocky does help you break some of your heel-ish habits. Despite it all, he encourages you not to be TOO underhanded. Not in a controlling way but in a “you can do better” way, y’know?
In general, this is a relationship that a lot of other folks think shouldn’t work but it works just fine for the both of you.

Beautiful Mountains While the Shores of Johnson Lake (Banff National Park) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A setting looking to the southeast while taking in views across lake waters present in this part of Banff National Park. My thought on composing this image was to keep a leveled-on view with the horizon, keeping a balance between the mountains in the upper portion of the image and the reflections on the lake waters. The other concern I had was metering properly to not blow any highlights in the bright morning sunlight, while still being able to pull the more shadowed areas later in post production. I later worked with control points in DxO PhotoLab 6 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.

Wrestlemania Main Event Reviews - Wrestlemania X-7
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin def. The Rock (c) in a No Disqualifications Match for the WWF World Championship in 28:08
The “My Way” package to set us up here and it’s famously great. JR is surprised at the No DQ stipulation as Stone Cold makes his way to the ring. The Texas crowd love Stone Cold and they hate Rock, kind of by obligation though because they love the hometown boy. What a clash this one is! The two biggest stars at the culmination of arguably the most iconic era in WWE history.
Austin attacks the second Rock finishes his entrance, and then hits him with the belt. Lou Thesz Press and they go back and forth at a million miles an hour. Rock Bottom attempt, Stunner attempt, Stunner attempt from Rock, and Austin sends him outside. They brawl and fight into the crowd briefly before coming back to the announce table. Back and forth with big blows and then back in the ring. This is a fast paced start. Austin lifts Rock up top and hits a superplex for two. Austin exposes the turnbuckle and Rock fights his way back into it, leading to a big flying clothesline and arm drag. He sends him outside and they have the crowd eating out of their hands. This one’s a spectacle without trying. Rock smashes Austin into the timekeeper’s table and Austin comes back with a ring bell to the face. Austin has the upper hand and Rock is bleeding. Rock clambers onto the announce table while referee Hebner speaks with Austin, and the table collapses, which was very funny. Austin sends him inside and is lining up every punch. He tries to smash him into the turnbuckle but Rock stops him. He gets a bit of offense in and the crowd boo loudly, but Austin counters and the crowd are elated. He stomps a mudhole in the Rock and walks it dry as he is one to do to his opponents, and then grinds the knee into the face. Austin briefly lashes out at Hebner and comes out of the corner with a big clothesline. He hits another and a flurry into the corner, then throwing him into the exposed turnbuckle. He grabs the ring bell and hits Stone Cold, who’s now bleeding too, but he kicks out! Rock hits punches as Austin staggers all over the ring. Rock attacks Austin as he hangs over the apron and he falls to the flaw. Austin fights back at the barricade and catapults the Rock into the ring post. Austin hits Rock with a monitor and these two are a wreck right now. Back inside but only a two-count. They get up, middle fingers to Rock, but he spins around the Stunner and locks in the Sharpshooter! Austin is similarly bloody to his bout with Bret Hart! Austin eventually gets to the ropes, which breaks the hold, which kind of doesn’t make sense but oh well. Austin reverses another Sharpshooter attempt and Austin locks it in himself! The blood is absurd here, and Rock powers out but Austin stays on top. Austin locks it in again but Rock gets the ropes. Austin flips off Hebner and eventually lets go of the hold. Austin locks in the Million Dollar Dream! Now that’s another great callback! Arm drop spot but Rock is alive and is able to use the corner to get the pin for a nice two-count, breaking the hold. Austin beats on Rock but Rock hits the Stunner! 2-count! Mr. McMahon comes down to the ring and Rock has control until Stone Cold hits the spinebuster for a 2-count. Rock is able to hit one of his own and then the People’s Elbow but McMahon pulls Rock off of Austin! Rock is shocked and chases after Vince but runs into an Austin Rock Bottom! He goes for a Stunner but Rock throws him into Hebner. Austin hits a low blow and asks McMahon for a chair. Vince hits Rock with it, he wakes up Hebner, but Rock kicks out! Austin goes for another chair shot but Rock Bottom! Vince distracts Hebner, Rock attacks him, Stone Cold Stunner, but Rock kicks out! Austin gets the chair again from Vince, over Rock’s head, but kick out! Austin destroys Rock with the chair like a maniac, and Rock finally stays down. Austin has sided with McMahon and the crowd don’t really know what to feel as they share a beer. He leaves Rock a beer as they drink over him. Austin then attacks Rock with the title.
Pros: Hot crowd, high energy, quick-paced clash, brutal, great callbacks, big fight feel Cons: Muddled finish
This match had everything. Smart story moments, high octane brawling, brutal offense, big fight feel, invested crowd, but all it lacked was a good finish. The way Vince siding with Austin was very spread out and not a big emphatic moment, it was a very wishy washy involvement that didn’t really fit where the story would go even just in the aftermath. I think maybe Austin working with Vince, being caught with the Rock Bottom, and losing would work, with him maybe going berserk and joining Vince full-on like he did, showing he has gone to the dark side. Or perhaps it was more resigned to one big chair shot after they can’t put each other away with their finishers, and Stone Cold reluctantly leans on Vince to win because he will do anything to win. I don’t know, but say what you will about heel Austin from a booking perspective, I think this finish was a little muddled personally for what it wanted to achieve. Also, it did not capitalise on the most frenetic crowd I’ve seen in a long time, because they were electric. Everything Austin did became thunderous and everything Rock did had a second of cheers because everyone loves Rocky, followed by a chorus of boos when they remembered he was fighting Austin. It was amazing, but they lost so much hype when that finish came because I think they were confused, and maybe you like that, but here I wanted thunderous cheers or boos. It sounds like I didn’t like this match in the end, but I loved it. I thought everything besides the finish was expertly done by two all time greats, and I just don’t know what to say that hasn’t been said before. Amazing stuff, but the finish was a tad blundered in my opinion.
Also, VKM is a horrible man and I hope those hurt by him get everything the need.
