Rock-afire Comic Idea

I had to thumbnail this idea out before I’d forget about it.

So I’ve always thought it was so funny whenever the sun would just appear, like I’d lowkey be terrified knowing that at any moment the sun could just be watching over my shoulder.

Sooooo, I had a comic strip idea where the band is playing like usual, then the sun just appears out of no where, the band goes silent and just stares in Dook’s direction, and he’s confused af. Then he’s like “it’s behind me. Isn’t it?”, he turns to look in back of him, sees the sun staring into his soul and runs tf out of there.

Anyway, we’ll see how long it takes me to actually render this comic out lmao. There ain’t no way anyone else has ever thought this about the sun right?!

Look, Ma- I’m Making a Comic!

I’ve had this idea in my head for months now, and I’m finally working to bringing it to life!! I’ve still got a long, long, LONGGG ways to go- even just to get the prologue finished- but I wanted to share a little bit of it. I’ll probably start posting the parts once I’m done working on the prologue so I have a backlog for when I start doing work on the first actual chapter.

The comic- a long work that will likely take multiple sketchbooks to complete- is titled No Biz Like Showbiz, and follows Billy Bob’s perspective through the rise and fall of the Rock-afire Explosion as he, now older and wiser, regales a curious fan with the lengthy tale. I’ve wanted to do a Rock-afire origin story for so long- and now I’ve finally started it! :)
