I recently watched the 'Robert and Lawrence' bit of 2017 and it's hilarious how freaked out Robert gets when he realises Lawrence actually wants him in that hotel room.

I know it's not a fan favourite, but dear God I found it so funny when Robert realised he'd taken it too far and was trying so hard to backtrack. 😂👌

Poor Larry, in another life he got his sugar baby but it sure as hell wasn't this one 😹 🙈

I'm getting war flashbacks just typing that - though it was funny that in Rob's mind 'fake seducing larry' was easier and more appealing than fake seducing rebecca or even chrissie to get his hands on the white family fortune.

He was an older man and it was just a facade, but he gave me a strange comfort so I led him on.

Very random ask here...but....Robrence was so genuinely funny in places though. That hotel room with all the food, and Rob's reaction when he walked in and realized he'd fucked himself over? Fucking GOLD.

I kind of wish it had been a genuine kind of friendship though, even for a while. I'd have found that more entertaining than the dumb revenge plot...them being actual friends and the rest of the whites being incredibly suspicious but...for once nothing was going on. Just the threat of Rob living in HF again being enough to drive them insane...because 'what was he up to'??

Lawrence could even have gotten fed up and changed his will (let's face it, he disowned his daughters A Lot), and Rob could have walked away with their inheritance after the car crash. 😂

Ah well, what could have happened...

oh yeah I would have enjoyed that kind of friendship! But let's face it - Rob hated the lot of them and wanted them to suffer.

Hotel fix it drabble under the cut

It had been a tense wait for Lawrence, trying to get Robert alone like this. He'd planned the hotel the second Robert announced he was leaving: he couldn't let him go, not without fighting for the man he loved.

He'd hated Robert for so long, watched him lust after both of his daughters, and after that foolish boy Aaron. Jealousy had seeped through every pore in his body until it had taken over, waves of desperation coming out as anger and repression. The younger man had proven himself, though, and shown himself to be the man Lawrence always knew he could be; to a lesser extent the man he'd always wanted himself to be.

It had been a tough journey for them both, but Lawrence was ready- ready to take the next step with Robert. He'd been through so much trauma but he could be himself with Robert, he trusted him in a way even Ronnie couldn't compare to. He was in love with Robert, always had been, always would be. This was the man he could give all of himself to.

He'd lured Robert here under the pretence of there being a business meeting; it wasn't QUITE a lie if the rumours of Robert and his ex getting filthy in barns while having business meetings were to be believed. Robert wasn't stupid, he knew exactly why he was here.

- The colour drained from Robert's face as he entered their supposed business meeting, but he quickly composed himself. He'd known that sex was on the cards, but the reality of it all hitting him was a mix of dread and sheer excitement.

He wanted it, he wouldn't have gone this far if he didn't, but he hadn't been with anyone new in so many years- since Aaron- that he had been doubting himself and his abilities. He respected how difficult Lawrence found intimacy, and he wanted to make it special. He just didn't know if he could be the man Lawrence deserved.

The nerves took over before he had the chance to make a move, and he relished the chance to have a romantic afternoon tea with Lawrence. He wanted this to be more than just sex, he wanted romance and to savour their time together before Robert had to leave.

Despite his nerves, the wait for Robert was agonising. Lawrence was all he could see; all he could think about and he'd never been so sure of anything in his life as he was that the beat of his heart was Lawrence's and Lawrence's alone.

The last sandwich- hummus and coriander because the gods clearly had a grudge against him- was consumed. It was time.

- Lawrence was shaking at the very sight of Robert, knowing he was so close to him, so close to making him his own. What an inconvenience it was, then, that Robert was too busy checking his phone to share this tension, this heat with him.

"Please, put the phone down", Lawrence purred, brushing his hand against Robert's. The beautiful, vulnerable face before him was fixed on Lawrence, with a desire that meant the phone was long forgotten.

"It's off, there's nothing getting between us now", Robert whispered, nibbling against Lawrence's ear. He turned his face, and bit on Lawrence's lip; finally the afternoon could truly begin.
