I just applied for a waterpark near me and that felt like the second most productive thing I've done this year.

Most of the roles I applied for involves a cash register though, which I'm scared to use lol. Because I can barely COUNT. But maybe I was just anxious without knowing the last time I was cashier, that's why I kept freezing after counting the first bill.

...

I should've applied as a water attendant! Or a janitor! Ahh, I just thought since I already had experience in retail then it would've been better to apply to other retail-y positions, but nooOOOo I should've chosen the other options! Many people are probably applying to the ones I chose anyways!

I also don't know what to expect at the interview. I can't find anything! My only option is to ask a friend who applied and got hired there (yet never ended up working there because the manager never put him on schedule), but I don't want anyone to know I applied there-

Oh. My. Gosh. The chances of meeting someone I know there too... nonono. I need to stop this thinkingggg!

I kind of hope I get the job. It seems like nobody had a real bad experience working there based on the reviews.

Anyways, I had my first tacos in 2024 today and they were so. Fricking. Good. Also had my first Takis in 2024 and they were not as good as I remembered, but I'll eat them all.

what the fuck is “doors” and “nicos nextbots” and “adopt me” back when i grew up we only played natural disaster survival and the normal elevator.

(a bit of a rant under cut)

we would play it’s raining tacos on boomboxes on repeat as we would play in the broken map that was robloxian waterpark.

we would get together after school, begging our friends to get on roblox to roleplay in robloxian high school, and NOT the new one. that is uncharted territory i REFUSE to enter.

i came around when roblox was first making a name for itself, when the logo was the fabled full name, and the o in roblox looked like ō, not this grey metal square. OH YEAH AND GUESTS WERE AROUND THOSE WERE COOL WHYD THEY GET RID OF THEM??

now, that’s not to say new roblox isn’t bad. games like apeirophobia and doors and wcue are great and have a lot of effort put into them. i’ve played all of the above and am hyperfixated on doors currently. i’m just saying the simplicity of the older games was something to cherish. we didn’t need hi-def graphics or complicated scripts- just a line of text that told us about the upcoming acid rain.

in conclusion- the older roblox games hit deep in my heart, and are something i cherished and still cherish to this day. but the newer ones can be appreciated too, and with every year comes new hits, and other ones die out. just try not to forget what raised the popular ones today.

Y'all listen to the new Waterparks album last night? My favorites were RITUAL and REAL SUPER DARK. The meaning of the album was posted on IG, I was super interested in it, obv. Literally one of my new favorite albums by 'Parks. Anyway, I drew my ROBLOX avatar for this one. It wears a Waterparks IP shirt, because of course it does.
