oughhh not to be a Sunday defender or apologist because obviously what he did wasn't the right move but. But can you blame him? Look me in the eye and tell me that conversation between him and Robin at Golden Hour, with all those poor souls whiling away at Penacony to escape their shitty life, didn't make you question things or get somewhat existential.

NOT TO MENTION HIS DEVOTION TO ROBIN like oh my fucking GOD do you wanna know why (aside from the pair by their ears) Robin has wings and Sunday doesn't? Because that caged bird has always been him!!! And do you wanna know why Robin gets to fly, leave Penacony, become a known star across the universe? Because Sunday would rather be stuck on the ground than let his sister fall to hell with him!!!!!!

When Sunday fell and Robin caught him, that was his absolution!!! It was his cage finally opening, only for him to fall, with unstable wings!!! He was supposed to be one of those birds destined to fall and die but Robin, his dearest sister, the one who's touched the stars, was there to catch him!!!!!!

Why does life slumber? Because someday, we will wake up from our dreams. And maybe, one of Sunday's dreams was simply to be able to fly alongside his sister. Regardless, the night is still too short, and the dream ends, not with Robin flying away but catching him.

boothill clenches then unclenches his fist. then again, and again, and again. he squeezes tight, trying to remember the feeling of nails pressed into his palm.

a pale hand covers his, spreading his fingers out and resting flat in his palm. "what do you need?" asks a gentle voice, robin's face smiling up at him.

boothill sighs. "i dunno. just—" he takes her hand, pulling it up to his cheek. he closes his eyes, relishing in the soft feel of her skin on his, the only form of contact he gets these days. she rubs her thumb along his cheekbone, tracing the moles under his eye.

"f—udge," boothill grumbles to himself, tightening his hold on her wrist. "i hate this."

"i know," robin says, her soothing voice washing over him. "it's okay."

she moves to brush a lock of hair from his face, trailing her fingers around the shell of his ear. he twitches, turning his head slightly.

"too much?" she asks, ready to pull her hand away, but boothill grabs her and keeps her there.

"no," he says, clenching his jaw. "'s fine. please."

so she continues, her fingertips brushing around his ear, along his jawline, and she pieces it together once he huffs out a tiny laugh.

"you're ticklish," she giggles, repeating her actions, and despite himself boothill smiles, leans into her touch, lets himself giggle once or twice.

it will never be the same again, but for right now he thinks he'll be okay.

i know hoyo loves their twins with an older brother thing but i think its so funny that sunday just decided that he was the older one.

funniest thing that could ever happen to him would be for him to find out hes the younger one his entire world would fall apart

ms robin ofc would naturally take this with an amazing level of grace and also she would instantly take to the role of an older sister and try to spoil sunday to bits as hes still reeling
