what are some of your favorite hc’s abt the batfam+ superfam???
🦇 dick and damian bond over circus animals
☀️ clark loves japanese food (idk if that's confirmed or not but every time i see him eating it or talking about it i squeal)
🦇 bruce cried when dick called him "dad" for the first time
☀️ jon can fake a perfect midwestern accent
🦇 damian hasn't watched many movies or cartoons so jon would show him the stuff he watched when he was younger (and damian secretly loves it)
☀️ martha and lois don't have much in common so they mostly bond over clark
🦇 i love the hc that jason is half latino (i say so as a latina lol)
☀️ connor keeps a track of his hairline to make sure it isn't going anywhere (damn you luthor)
🦇 cass is the therapist friend since she's not just a good listener but she also gives very sensible advice
☀️ lois wanted to give jon a sibling but clark is hesitant since one little half kryptonian is already a lot to deal with
🦇 stephanie has the keys to the manor and no one knows where she got it from
☀️ clark doesn't like going to the beach too much cuz sunbathing over charges his powers and he gets the kryptonian zoomies (also the fact he was raised within the country rather than the coast)
🦇 alfred secretly taught jason to use a gun when he was still robin

Batfamily Music Taste or favorite genre 🎶
🦇🦇🦇
Bruce Wayne:
I like the take of The Batman with Bruce being a loner and staying in the cave and only leaving to patrol. I feel like for my pick that’s still canon but I feel like over the years he’s not as much as a hermit and he’s created the dual personality as Bruce, and Batman. So I think he can evolve his tastes somewhat but I think the kids get a kick out of Old Man Bruce being a Nirvana fanboy 😭.
🖤
songs:
The Man who Sold the World - Nirvana
Suspicious Minds - Elvis Presley
Another One Bits the Dust- Queen
Dick Grayson:
When I think of Dick I think of the 80’s. The wild colors, the crazy hair, hell even the style of clothing I could see him take into his own personal wardrobe. I could see him singing these songs all around his apartment, in the car on long trips and even to just mess with his siblings. He feels a sense of peace and just being a big kid listening to some songs and others he feels that he can relate to some of these songs. I feel like soon one of them will sing along with him.
songs:
Karma Chameleon - Culture Club
Careless Whisper - George Michael
Kids in America - Kim Wilde
💙
Jason Todd:
I feel like Jason could go multiple ways. One hand I definitely think out of all the kids he would listen to rock music or something along those lines. But I feel like that’s not his favorite, and with him being into literature I see him enjoy classical music too. I think Jason may be misunderstood most of the time and he’s just seen to be this or that but I think he just like what appeals to him at the current time which could be any genre but he has a few songs or works of music he feels nostalgic about especially from his Robin days that he likes a lot.
songs:
Rihannon - Fleetwood Mac
Sonata No. 42 in D Minor- Mozart
2012 - Evolove
❤️
Tim Drake:
When I think of Tim I think of the early 2000’s a lot. Believe it or not Timothy coffee addict Drake was once a skater boi and I of course believe deep down he was obsessed with the Avril Lavigne song. I do think Tim most of the time is in the clouds or really just not mentally presented and not in a bad way. It’s hard to explain because I do it too, and I thinks it’s not to take your thoughts and be free to your favorite songs and I think music can help Timmy decompress a lot especially with the crazy family he loves and deals with daily.
Songs:
Jealous - Eyesdress
Bring Me Back to Life - Evanescence
Freaks - Surf Curse
🧡
Damian Wayne:
Damian is an artist to me and as such I think he’s would prefer to be alone in his room painting or in the gardens sketching away with Alfred the cat next to him. I think deep down Damian has a lot of sadness and hurt inside of him that he doesn’t know how to express. From his mother treating him as a instrument of distraction, his father not having an idea of him being born. And that’s not his fault truly he still feels like he was cheated out of a father and son relationship when he was little. I also think Damian is angry, but not in the typical Damian way. Damian is the baby and will always be compared to his older siblings and why I think he tries or berates them so much is to draws attention away from that insecurity he has. But he has no need because even though the young teen has his demons now he will always find someone a door next to him that can give him advice. That’s if he wants to swallow his pride and ask for the advice.
Songs:
The Scientist- Coldplay
W.D.Y.W.F.M? - The Neighborhood
Mt. Washington - Local Natives
💚
Stephanie Brown:
The Waffle Warrior, I feel like she’s a Pop kinda girl. More of a 90’s diva kinda girl. I feel like Steph is just more of a brighter being in the family, she likes to pull prank with Jason, she’s constantly working Damian’s nerves but also I feel like deep down the kid respects her as a sister figure even though Bruce hasn’t formally adopted her. Yet! And her friendship with the other Batgirls I love you see it and feel like Steph is the type of girl you meet once and you already feel comfortable around her to spill your troubles to and she’ll listen and give you good advice on your problems. But best of all she has a new place in my heart because I feel like she’s can be look as the underdog, but she’s been a Robin and Batgirl so put some respect to her name please. 😌
Vision of Love - Mariah Carey
What A Girl Wants - Christina Aguilera
Hot Like Fire - Aaliyah, Timberland
💜
Cassandra Cain:
Cass gives me sporty big sis vibes so I wouldn’t be surprised to find fast pace,or more songs about being on the go. I feel like is like the trendsetter in the family and it’s funny when everyone tries to copy her and it doesn’t have the same feel as her, she naturally does her thing and it works for her. Cass loves her siblings and they know when Cass isn’t messing around. She’s baddie and isn’t afraid to let you know that, Cass often isn’t home or she’s off in the manor practicing ballet or training but she’s doing it in style.
Hot in It- Tiësto, Charli XCX
My Prerogative - Britney Spears
Hot Girl - Megan Thee Stallion

a handful of art tips of my own
PHYSICAL HEALTH / MAINTENANCE
change your canvas' default color to anything other than white, preferably darker like gray or beige (reduces damage done to your eyes and may help with motivation)
wash your tablet with very light cleaning products (so it doesn't damage the touch screen) and make sure to change your nib when needed so it doesn't scratch it (prevents tablet damage)
stretch your wrists especially if you or your family has a history of joint disease (prevents certain conditions)
don't press your pen too hard onto the tablet surface, it can scratch it and damage the touch screen; similarly, don't press your pencil or pen too hard onto paper - it will be harder to erase later, will cause pain in your wrist, and might even rip the paper.
FOCUS / MOTIVATION / PRODUCTIVITY / BURNOUT
keep your tablet and pen very close so that you only need to reach with your hand to grab them, without needing to get up from your chair (increases drawing frequency)
use a pomodoro or a timer (increases focus)
stimulate your other senses while you draw by eating or drinking something, listening to music or videos, and/or lighting an incense or scented candle (increases focus)
mute notifications and/or prevent yourself from opening distracting apps like tiktok by uninstalling/blocking them or turning off your phone (increases focus)
develop a specific ritual for drawing like changing clothes and doing the two things above (puts your brain in a get things done mode)
set minimum goals like 1 drawing a week or even 1 drawing a month (prevents burnout and helps you with being gentle to yourself and your needs)
make a to-do list and reduce your goals as far as you possibly can. e.g instead of just "coloring" add sub-tasks like "coloring first character", "coloring second character" or even "coloring first character's skin", "coloring first character's clothes" (prevents burnout, helps with motivation)
do not draw every day (prevents burnout)
take breaks, i mean week-long breaks if necessary (prevents burnout)
CONFIDENCE (& other mental health stuff)
if another artist triggers envy or insecurity from you, block them temporarily so that it stops triggering those feelings; alternatively, temporarily uninstall or block apps that might be triggering these emotions (prevents your motivation from being reduced by insecurity) --> additionally, do therapy, meditation n mindfulness techniques, as well as talking about or writing down your feelings and asking friends for reassurance to try to get rid of perfectionism (improves art confidence)
do not talk yourself down and do not co-inhabit with people who keep insulting your art relentlessly (improves art confidence)
theres no need to hurry up when making art (improves art confidence and quality, prevents burnout)
genuinely compliment other people's art without shaming your own (in my therapists' words: appreciating other people is appreciating yourself. improves art confidence, reduces feelings of creative envy, may help build connections and community)
if you feel envy towards other people's like count, consider downloading browser extensions that hide these numbers or blocking/uninstalling triggering apps (improves art confidence)
draw what you like and do NOT join trends just because you want to get famous - it's tempting, but becomes very unhealthy after a while (improves art confidence, prevents burnout)
draw for yourself, you have no reason to post things if you don't want to. it's not your obligation
SKILL / QUALITY
do warm-up exercises for a few minutes before working on a big piece; this can be drawing geometric shapes (prepares your brain for 3d visualization), drawing little spidermen stickmen doing acrobatics (prepares you for poses), drawing straight and curvy lines and tracing them over and over trying to do it perfectly (improves line confidence), drawing bean shapes without pulling your pen off your tablet (improves line confidence), drawing circles repeatedly trying to get them perfect (improves line confidence), etc. (improves skill in general, is kinda like stretching before a workout - prepares you and tends to make the result of the actual piece better)
trace, copy and replicate and try to do that with things out of your comfort zone like things you've never drawn before or aren't used to, challenging or complex poses and color schemes, etc. (improves skill)
do figure drawing (there are websites for it) (improves posing skill and to some degree anatomy too)
SOCIAL / MARKETING
draw gift art, join dtiys, do art trades, etc. (builds community and connections, improves art confidence, prepares you for commercial work like commissions, builds trust in other people since they'll know you can indeed meet deadlines making them more eager to pay you for art)
when posting commission ads try to include at least one drawing for every basic color and at least one drawing for every species of character you know how to draw, as well as at least one piece with a scenery and/or other complex things like vehicles (shows your capacity for potential clients who might be looking for people who can draw those things)

i think because this sounds like obvious advice people just don't say it bc its kind of an unspoken, common-knowledge sort of thing. but it kinda isn't.
the best thing you can to do improve your writing is to read actual books.
"fanfic writing" as a vibe, descriptor etc is often used in a negative way bc a lot of fandom is based around visual media, which means the only writing references that fic writers have.... is each other.
think about it for more than a second. if everyone references each other, everyone's art is going to end up looking exactly the same. the same tropes, the same vocabulary, the same wording, the same prose, the same style, the same lack of basic writing concepts and/or principles, the same often bad grammar; the list goes on. that's what people mean when they say a book sounds like it came from wattpad.
here's a little science analogy. if coacervate droplets (which would become the first protocells) exchange molecules - like rna - with each other with too much ease and within seconds, then they're going to end up looking like clones of each other. this means they won't mutate, which means they won't evolve, which means life would not exist. ...it's kind of a similar thing. if everyone just gets inspiration from each other, inside a single, limited space or bubble (fic communities but also specific genres or groups of authors), then everything will look and feel exactly the same. as such, nothing will change, adapt, or become unique. it will all be clones; the originality now long gone leaving only a feeling of dread and boredom because everything is just bland.
thing is. apparently when rainwater came in contact with the droplets it formed a barrier around them which allowed for the rna to stay for longer without being exchanged. so they could mutate and change. and so they ended up different from each other. that's what gave way to evolution.
the books are your rainwater. it's this external thing that is likely out of your bubble - especially if you're reading a genre you're not used to - that is going to enrich and thicken your writing style with new ideas. the result is that your writing will likely feel different from other people's and you'll just improve in your skill in general.
this was a really weird analogy but it's not my fault i'm both a literature and science nerd.
read classics but also read trashy romance. read fantasy but also read teen dramas. read cozy but also read horror. honestly- if you have a bookshelf at home with fiction books that belong to someone else who lives with you, read every single one of them.
"i don't have the patience" turn your phone off. use a pomodoro or just a timer. grab a drink or a snack. listen to instrumental music or ambience videos. uninstall or block distracting apps like tiktok. mute your notifications. close your door. or do none of these things and just start reading impulsively. bring it with you somewhere you know you'll feel bored after a while like school or something and read it instead of using ur phone. start with short stories. maybe try a novel. maybe a series. percy jackson is what made me get into reading so maybe that would be a good recommendation.
and once you start, get to the end and reward yourself. save quotes you think sound nice. memorize them. let the book transform your writing. then, when you feel ready, write something.
it will look completely different than it was before.
