The animated empire strikes back version of a Series!

DreamWorks I have some questions regarding the 9 realms. How on this green earth is it possible that you put out a show a year before, who disrespects one of your most beloved and greatest trilogies of all time and then a year later you put this emotional roallercoaster of a Sequel Show on, who isn’t directed to any of your own movies? How? As a huge httyd-fan I‘m now again sad how T9R turned out to be. Why couldn’t you do the same with T9R? Why?

About Chaos Theory: It was…an Amazing thriller ride with personally my favorite dinosaur, the allosaurus. I really like the animation on him, how he moves and runs, his whole design with the blind eye and the grey and black of his scales. What a magnificent beast. According to the trailers Brooklynn is dead and we know that since trailer 2, but even though it’s a spoiler and an important plot point, the show still mastered to feel this heartbreaking loss as Ben told Darius again in his Cabin. With a little foreshadowing with Darius‘ Flashback when he Looks the Allosaurus straight in his blind eye, which is by the way my favorite scene from the First episode, this even got more intense. I really love how they developed the characters, especially Darius with his guilt and his PTSD. The different character dynamics are again so good and interesting. Man and I really enjoyed the cinematography with all the lighting and the landscape and so on. Just a little fun fact; they always use the same road when they drive trough and the only thing that is different is the environment and sometimes it isn’t but this is not a big issue. By the way fun in the clips I never thought that the Jokes would land, but they surprisingly do. It has the perfect dynamic between jokes and seriousness. Also Yaz will always be my favorite character, her and Sammy are so cute. I love their relationship.

I honestly don’t care much about the Jurassic Park/World Franchise, except the accuracy of the Dinosaurs and the Dinosaur-Action, but Camp Cretaceous and now Chaos Theory get me invested in one part of this big franchise. Idk why but this series gives me httyd2 and httyd3 Vibes, which is great because I love both movies very much. I think this is one my favorite series now. I am so hyped for the next seasons.

I Like that they show us again that Animation isn’t only for kids, it’s a Medium we should take seriously. Very Adult Show. This what I call a peak DreamWorks Show!

v for vendetta is REALLY a roallercoaster of emotion...and def is the reason why I read so many shakespeare (...70% of what he wrote?) LMAO but if i have to give you ONE movie to watch is def v for vendetta! & shawshank redemption inspired by my fave author aka Stephen Mother F*cking King sdfghjhgfd ♡

That night, Gwilym picked you up from your dorm. His hands were sweaty as he waited for you to emerge. Again, he was debating telling you about Edith and her threats. That way you wouldn’t be so angry at him. But a stronger part of him didn’t want to make you feel bad. Still, he knew you were going to have questions. He had to come up with something to say to satisfy you.

You slid into the passenger seat, his heart skipping its usual beat at the sight of your smile. When you leaned over to kiss him, he was surprised.

“You’re not angry with me?” he wondered as you sat back to buckle up.

You shook your head. “Daniel told me what happened.”

“Daniel?”

You explained what Daniel told you in the dressing room. You even shared his suggestion to break up and take away Edith’s power. You carefully watched Gwilym’s expression at this. His mouth turned down and he narrowed his eyes. He pulled up to his hotel in silence. As you followed him to his room, you grew more anxious. He wasn’t actually considering what Daniel said was he? You had refused it as an option because it felt impossible. Did Gwilym not feel the same? What did that mean?

Gwilym opened the door for you and you walked inside, legs slightly shaking. You weren’t sure what he might say now. Would he end it?

Roller Coaster Reviews - Icon “Faff: The Ride” 😉

Before I get into things I just want to let anyone know reading this that what I write is my own opinion, I respect others’ opions and I ask everyone to do the same.

Also please excuse any spelling or punctuation mistakes, I have dyslexia and sometimes even spell correct can’t help me 🤣😒

I want to start using this space as a way of expressing about how I feel about Theme/Amusement Parks and roller coasters I experience. Me, my partner and our group of friends often visit a few times a year to U.K and European attractions and we have quite a varied list of places and roller coasters and theme parks we have visited already with new ones on the list to go.

But in this blog I will be writing about what I think about the new(ish) ride that opened at Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach last year “Icon” A Mack double launch coaster which set Amanda Thompson back  £16,250,000  Which for a small family amusement park is a major investment and shows promise for the future of the park.

I live in London, which means Blackpool is a six to seven hour drive to get there from my house, in fact we can get to Liseberg in Sweden or Phantasialand in Germany quicker then it takes us to get to the Pleasure Beach.

We are not a massive fans of the Pleasure Beach, especially my partner who mainly goes for the social meet up and the awesome Weatherspoons down the road for a drink/shesh! I don’t mind Pleasure Beach, it falls under the category “Its so bad its a laugh” But even I have to admit the park is bit naf 😂

But when they announced they was getting a brand new attraction in the form of a Mark launched coaster I was really looking forward to riding it, after all my current favourite is Helix at Liseberg and the fact we was getting a similar ride in the U.K really got me hyped.

Doubts started to arise though because we already knew that Pleasure Beach dose not look after their coasters well, most all of the rides are run down and back braking rough (Regardless of where you sit 😜)

Even more doubts stared to arise when we first saw a video of the train going around the track, our initial reaction was “that looks so slow” But we remained open minded because it was only testing so it might speed up when it opens (Spoiler alert! It doesn't)

So we was all there at Blackpool for the first day of the season eager to try it out! Our first hiccup was when we was getting our wristbands. I think the staff member knew we was roller coaster fans because once she gave us the wristbands she dished the ultimate shade and said “All the rides are open except Icon...” Me and my partner’s heat sank and thought the horrific drive was a waist of time but luckily after a unnecessary long pause she said “Which opens at 11″ Then we both let out a sigh of relief.

So after all that the ride finally opened and we didn’t seem to wait that long if I remember write. I remember saying the queue line was fairly short for a “major attraction” I can see the line going out of the gates and by the gift shop on busy days myself.

Now, the ride it’s self. I like style of the ride, it looks nice and the station or as we call it “shed” looks good on the inside but the outside it just looks like an industrial facility building with a random/pointless price of structure on the top.

The only thing I would say about the station itself is the music is a bit too load for my taste when you get inside. We couldn't hold a conversation standing next to each over.

Once we boarded and got in our seats was was ready to go! It starts off moving forward and we’re getting ready for the launch and it stops! We looked at each over and forward again, after what seemed a very long time the launch starts, which in my opinion is not needed, it would be much better if it went straight into the launch, now I use the word launch very lightly because it has zero fores and as a “launch” coaster that was already a disappointment. Then it goes over a airtime hill through The Big One which is good and dose give some weightlessness sometimes but not consistency in my experiences.

After that is where the ride gets its “Faff: The Ride” title because it meanders around as if it dose not know where it wan’t to go, the layout makes it seem like the sort of ride I make on Planet Coaster when I have no idea what I’m doing and just clicking to add track and click “auto complete” 👀

The only time it goes upside down is the corkscrew which is again o-k but because the ride is so slow it has no excitement to it. 

The next part is my favourite part of the ride is the double-down segment into the tunnel, when the smoke effect is on it’s even more enjoyable it’s this segment I get the most forces on this ride.

After this is the totally unnecessary second launch, I say its unnecessary because it dose not speed up the train in the slightest, it goes the exact (low) speed as it did before during and after the launch which vexed me, on Helix both launches, especially the second one has a real force where you get pushed back into your seat. Whereas on Icon you can easily sit forward for both which as a “thrill” coaster is a real disappointment. 

After that is the mini top hat section which is.... Meh, its a nice part of the ride but again because Icon has no speed or force to it just feels like the ride has given up on life!

The final element is the S bend segment, again enjoyable to a degree but because its so slow by the second or third one I’m board now and ready to get off! Which after this is exactly what happens the train comes back to the station.

Overview:

 Icon is an enjoyable ride but as it’s marketed as a thrill ride I really expected more after already riding Helix many times before this ride I thought it would be fast, thrilling and full of forces which I am sorry to say Icon is not. In my opinion it is more of a family attraction. If it was advertised as a family ride I could understand why its so slow and dull but as a thrill coaster it is a disappointment. However it dose/will make the offensively long drive to Blackpool kind’a worth it.

FLCL and why u should watch it if already haven't

Disclaimer: this post is going to be free of spoilers cause i really really want u to watch this series if you haven't already and also it's only about the original FLCL. | I think that one of the most powerfull things in anime is when one itself can understand or relate to an especific situation or emotion, even with a whole character, that's when it becomes more than a hobby and starts to be a real deal on your life -at least that's my case-, of course this feature isn't a unique quirk of anime but more of a phenomenom that includes almost every form of entertaiment like a book or a movie, but in my opinion is the magic/mysticism/fantasy of anime and sci fi what gives it something else. FLCL as an anime it's pretty messed up in a sense that only Gainax can do, not because it's crude or violent but there's a lot of time when you don't know what's happening on the screen or how things ended that way, it's very noisy and "explosive", the faces and the situations are very exaggerated but this show always keeps this calm color palette and chill vibe, like a reminder that "nothing ever happens on this town". Now when i refer to the "growing up" topic it's because my personal interpretation is that this whole show represents the life changes that the main character is going up in it's life, that time of being "pre teen" around 12 and 14 years old is a ride on a roallercoaster in terms of emotions, it's when most of the people begin to understand what is the world like and the life itself. Things like responsability, love, friendship, sexuality, etc. start to coming right to your face and that is how Haruko literally bumps into the main character of this anime and so starts a new time in life when he has to face al this changes in is inner self at the same time that this feelings and situations are reflected on the external world arround him.

| There has to be a huge amount of things that im not talking about cause was dificult for me to keep up with all the amazing things that were happening on the screen -i've only seen it two times- but if i'm talking about feelings and all the metaphor involved on this anime the music is key on the atmosphere and the emotions that are expressed -directly or not-. The music on this show is by The Pillows and their noisy rock fits perfectly the atmosphere and the mood of this anime and it's main cast of characters. They do a great job on this roallercoaster of emotions and their music along with the mood of the city makes perfect sense for this group of kids on this time of their life, having to face the real world and the problems of being an adult human (?) being. I only wish i had seen this anime when i was on that age, i'm sure it would have been much more meaningful to me, even if already it is. Just go to watch it and listen to The Pillows, i assure you will not regret it in the slightest.
